When I woke up the next morning to my cleaning mom. She was cleaning. Dusting, organizing the works. I walked over to the fridge ready to get myself some juice but my mom stopped me.

"Already got you some juice and a red velvet poptart on the table." She said without looking up. This women was a goddess. All of a sudden a teapot whistled to life. She moved it off the burner and poured it into a mug.

"Chai?" I guessed. She always had Chai.

"Vanilla Chai." She smiled. I shook my head, smiling small.

"Hey so I was thinking," She sat sipping the tea, "I was thinking we could spend some time together doing the thing we do best." It only took a second to know what she was talking about.

"Shopping!" We exclaimed in unison.

"Of course mom!" I agreed, "I have work at 7 but until then I'm all yours."

A minute later Evanna emerged from her bedroom.

"Oh Evanna dear, your scrambled eggs and english muffin are in the microwave. Eggs with a tad of milk right?"

Confused, Evanna shuffled over to the microwave, keeping her eyes peeled on mom. She slowly took the plate of food from the microwave.

"Salt?" Evanna questioned almost scared.

"Two shakes." My mom answered with confidence.

"You're a wizard." She whispered before joining us at the table.

"Anna and I were just talking about our shopping trip today, you wish to join us?" My mom asked.

Evanna was gorging herself with the eggs. Apparently she got them perfectly.

"Sorry, Denny is taking me to the movies." She answered. She did mention how she wanted to see this movie but it was not one I wanted to see. She wasn't one to go to the movies alone.

Evanna finished her eggs before my poptart. She thanked my mom before she left to go take a shower. I got dressed myself into a pair of jean shorts, T-shirt and sneakers. We left after my mom insisted in doing the dishes. As bad as I felt, I let her, but I helped her dry at least.

We drove to the closet mall.

"So I was thinking we would start at.." My mom started

"Hot Topic?" We said together. We immeadiatly squealed in glee like we always did and performed our little hand shake thing that we got from the best friends in Castle. My mom was also a nerd which was one of the reasons she married my dad but then money started going to his head and now they couldn't stand each other. Hot Topic was now the place to get a lot of nerdy items like Avengers, Harry Potter and Star Wars. Although I enjoyed a lot of the Doctor Who merch.

We spent an hour in the little store. We spent 35.00.

Then we went into Old Navy. All hell broke loose.

"Mom look sale!"

"You know what would look good?"

"A belt!" We completed together. Finishing each other's sentences was a side effect of hanging out with my mom too much.

We tried on six different outfits and left with a pair of shorts and a shirt each. We had a serious problem.

We spent six hours at the mall until I realized it was 6:30 and I was going to be late for work.

We rushed back home in no time before I darted into my room, got in my uniform and darted back out the door exclaiming something like I would see her later but I couldn't really remember.

I got home from work surprisingly happy. It was late, which was the norm, but I felt the need to just go in my room and stay up doing something that I use to do as a child. I wrote. I just wrote stuff down. Feelings, short stories, the occasional fanfiction... I stayed up an extra forty five minutes writing a short story about a giraffe named Galdis and her interactions with the modern world. I giggled myself senseless until I passed out.
