Sorry it's sort of late, but I've been fighting allergies all day! Super annoying! But still, I managed to type this up anyway, even if it may not be my best. Hope you guys enjoy, and please review.

Reviewers:

Neyite: You'll just have to see if they join or not, but I know I would too. Nice puppy dog eyes. ;3

TooLazyToLogin: Thanks! And my cover will be out some time between tomorrow and Thursday. And once again, I love the long reviews!

IronFistRocks: Hmm...Maybe, or not. And I'm thinking that the cover will have both Far and Mira, just so that people can picture both characters. And I've been practicing drawing Far and I enjoy it.

Mira's pov

Beige. More beige. Doors. More doors. Beige doors. Outsider schools aren't exactly diverse. And still we walked, with Danny and his friends pointing out rooms and people. I didn't really pay much attention, only looking up to sometimes greet people and make sure I wasn't about to run into anything.

"Hey New Girl! How 'bout you ditch the losers and come over here?" I looked to see a large kid with short blond hair and a letterman jacket.

"Really Flash?" Peter asked. For the first time since our encounter with Coulson, Far grinned.

"Hey Mira, maybe Danny and that kid can fight it out for your hand," He sniggered.

"What's your name Newbie?" Flash shouted. His fat-headed henchmen chortled and snorted around him like pigs.

"Names are windows to one's personality, one who is noticed for body and perceived as an object, is nameless," I smirked. Flash stared at me, actually everyone except Danny stared at me.

"You know what, you guys keep her, she's just as crazy as the rest of you nerds!" Flash said.

"You'll get used to Flash, he's just a big jerk," Luke smiled apologetically. I nodded. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a precariously placed coke can next to Flash, on top of the lockers. I casually twirled my finger in a circle and waited.

"OH MY FRIGGIN'-THIS WAS MY FAVORITE JACKET!" Flash yelled. I grinned, and Peter started completely losing it. The others weren't much better.

"Nice going, witch!" Far laughed. Danny just chuckled and shook his head in mock disapproval.

"So you do have powers," Ava observed. I very nearly sneered at her, but thought better of it. Danny wanted all of us to get along.

"Indeed," I said as we kept walking.

"And this, is the detention room!" Sam yelled. It didn't look different than any of the other rooms. Mostly plain, with a lot of desks and chairs.

"What's so special about detention?" Far asked.

"Sit down, and I'll show you!" Sam retorted. We sat and immediately started falling. I screamed all the way down, clutching the folds of my dress to my body. Finally, the tube evened out and discarded us on a cold, metal floor.

"Far, Mira, welcome to the Tricarrier," Danny helped us up. I noticed they were all wearing their costumes.

"Uh...are we supposed to be here?" Far asked dubiously. He had a point.

"Well...not exactly, but what better way to convince you two to join S.H.I.E.L.D, than to show you S.H.I.E.L.D!" Peter reasoned.

"Yeah, I'm sure it's fine. Come on, we'll test out your real skills," Luke smiled, leading us to a huge space marked as the training room. We all walked in with Danny, Far and I on one side, and Peter, Luke, Sam, and Ava on the other side.

"Um, what are we doing?" I asked.

"Us, against you guys!" Sam smirked.

"Don't worry, we just want to see how you guys really fight, and Danny will help you," Peter reassured.

"Ok..." Far said carefully.

"Ready set go!" Peter shouted. He leaped up on the ceiling and shot webbing at us. I rolled out of the way and looked around. Danny was lighting his fists and far was pulling out a stick from his hoodie pocket, along with some arrows. I was about to mock his stick when it retracted into his bow. I gaped.

"Hey Bunny Boy! Heads up!" Far and Sam started shooting each other. Danny was fighting Luke and Peter. That only left one person.

"Hi-yah!" Ava aimed a flying kick at me. I jumped to the side and plowed into her, shoulder-first. Ava cartwheeled through my own kicks and easily dodged my every punch and swipe. Luckily I managed to only get hit a few times. Finally I decided to do things my way.

Let's see Miss Pretty Paws flip out of my magic! I focused, she was running at me, claws outstretched. I flung out my hands in a shielding spell and...nothing. Absolutely nothing! I yelped in confusion as she swatted me to the floor. I tried to do a flying spell, a strength spell, anything! Nothing worked. I wasn't focused enough.

I flipped back onto my hands and kicked her away. Then I jumped back to my feet and charged at her. She swiped at me, missed. I landed a blow to her side but that was enough time for her to claw me. I froze, getting kicked in the face, and stared at the four, long, parallel rips in my dress running from my side and down my thigh. Right. Through. My. Dress. Only one of my favorite dresses. One of the few that had been handmade for my mother and was now mine.

"You ruined my dress!" I snarled. Ava stopped and looked.

"Oh, oops. I can take you shopping after this if you want," She offered. My hands balled into fists, nails puncturing my skin. I couldn't comprehend how Ava had the nerve to even suggest replacing Mother's dress! A clarity swept over my vision and I was able to block out all other sounds. I saw everything, and focused on nothing.

It was all background. Just scenery. Sam falling from the air as Far froze his arms. Danny kicking Peter into a wall only to be thrown into the same wall by Luke. It was all superficial. Instead, I concentrated on one person.

"Wall!" I commanded. Ava started floating, before being smashed into the nearest wall.

"Floor!" She was dropped head first on the metal ground.

"Throw!" And finally got thrown halfway across the room. I dropped my hands from where I had raised them above my head. Everyone had stopped to look at me. Then back at Ava. She stumbled to her feet, leaning most of her weight on one leg. I bit my lip. Oops. This is why I never do magic anymore! Magic only hurts and destroys!

"Well, nice job kid," Ava said finally. I just gaped as everyone started cheering and talking and congratulating.

"Th-thanks?" I stuttered, still in a stupor. She's ok! She's ok! I didn't hurt her! Huh...kind of bittersweet though.

"You're powerful, how come you do not use your skills more often in combat?" Danny asked me.

"I...had a bad experience once...with my magic," I admitted. His eyes softened.

"Then do not feel pressured to use it, I was just very impressed," He smiled. And there it was again, that hint of sadness in his eyes. I let my fingers accidently (ok, not exactly accidentally) brush his hand, and joined in the mirth.

Yup, a little taste of what the witch can really do! And if anyone is wondering how Sam will unfreeze his arms...He does have energy blasts that can melt the ice. Probably. The cover art is coming out this week! Anyway...

Wolf out...
