Mira's pov

"So, who decided to let two uninvited kids onto my ship?" We were still mingling when a tall, African-American man with an eye patch walked over. Far and I looked at each other.

"We were just looking," Far spoke up.

"Just looking at private government property," Eye-Patch Man growled.

"Hey man chill! Who are you even supposed to be? The secretary? I bet you aren't even authorized to mess with us, so if you have a problem with us, you can just go whine about it to your boss!" Far yelled. Eye-Patch Man glared. You would think that a guy with only one eye would only have a glare half as powerful as the average person, but this guy must have been practicing.

"I am the boss, Director Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D," Eye-Patch Man said.

"Oh...are you sure?" Far stared at his shoes. Eye-Patch -I mean Director Fury- nodded.

"In that case, I am Billy from the theater! I teach drama club to underprivileged toddlers and I would give you a card, but I must've left it in my other pants! In fact, why don't I just go get it for you, I'll be right back!" Far started running back where we came from and crashed into Coulson. Coulson glared and herded Far back to the group, standing behind us.

"Now, what are you two doing on my ship?"

"We wanted to show them around, trust given is trust earned," Danny said before Far had a chance to open his mouth. Director Fury cocked his eyebrow.

"You all know the rules. If they aren't part of the program, they're not allowed on the Tricarrier!" He frowned.

"But we are part of the program!" I chimed in a little too loudly. I shouldn't have said that.

"What!" The entire group, including Far looked at me.

"Um, yeah, we came up here to meet you and tell you that we're in!" I added. Stop talking! Just stop talking! I swear Fury smiled.

"Oh, good. Then I guess this is just a misunderstanding," He started. We all breathed a sigh of relief.

"Great, thanks Fury! We'll just get out of your ha - er...yeah!" Peter stuttered. We turned to leave but Fury's voice stopped us.

"But, since you were all so eager to get to the training room, how about we do some real training. You know, to make it official," Fury smirked.

"Sure, what's so bad about an hour of fighting?" Far whispered. The team looked at us in a mixture of pity, and amusement. Uh-oh...

We're joining the program, I thought as we dragged ourselves through the training session. We wanted to tell you about it!

It had been about four hours, just an hour of fighting! I was going against Peter. So far I had managed to turn his webs into butterflies and freeze him mid-kick. Just easy party tricks, but I didn't have it in me to do any better.

"Mira heads up!" Peter shouted. I looked up to get kicked in the face. This is great! My favorite! My, absolute, favorite!

"Do you guys usually train for this long?" I gasped, weakly punching him in the stomach.

"Only if Fury wants to teach us a lesson," Peter answered. "So yeah, usually!"

While Peter and I sparred, Danny danced around Far, dodging every arrow. I could've laughed, but I was too tired. Next to them, Ava and Sam were ganging up on Luke, who was going harder on Sam than he was on Ava. Boys! Always have to be the heroes! Always have to let the girls win and go easy on them!

Ava seemed to notice this too, and punched his sunglasses hard enough for them to crack a little. I grinned, then scowled. I did not want to have anything remotely in common with Cat Woman over there!

"Ok team, and recruits, training's over. Hit the showers," Fury's voice crackled over a loud metal box with tiny holes in it.

"Finally! Hallelujah! Thank you Universe! I don't think I have ever been happier to be ordered to stop doing-" Far was cut off by another announcement.

"And recruits, meet me in my office after you get cleaned up."

"I can show you to his office," Danny came up beside me. I smiled prettily, batting my eyelashes like a graceful silver dragon or a swan or something. Take that you feral she-beast!

"What are you doing?" Danny laughed. I realized that eyelash batting shouldn't be continued for more than fifteen seconds.

"Nothing...so you'll take me to Fury?" I confirmed, changing the subject.

"Indeed."

"Cool, thanks for offering dude! And here I was worrying about going there all alone!" Far inserted himself between Danny and I. Danny cocked an eyebrow, and I just glared.

"What? Can't I allow my best friend to show me to the One-eyed Troll's office?" Far asked incredulously.

"Sure," Danny said.

"No," I said at the same time.

"Great!" Far grinned.

"Um, I never sad you could just-" I ranted.

"Thanks Danny, see you guys here after showers!" He ran off. I groaned.

"Shower quickly, we can talk before he arrives in the lounge area," Danny smiled. I loved how his eyes danced.

"Where is it?" I asked.

"Go down this hall and turn right into the next hallway. It will be the last door on the left," He answered. I nodded and walked off into the bathroom.

After quickly washing myself I followed Danny's directions. The door opened into a wide corridor which opened into a wider room. It had a carpet on the metal floor and red couches facing one of those television machines.

sitting on a couch was Danny. He waved me closer and patted the space next to him. I sat.

"So," He started.

"So," I repeated. He chuckled.

"Why did you tell Fury you and Far were joining?" he asked.

"Because otherwise you and the others would have gotten in trouble. Besides, it'll be a good experience, for me to learn," I said. He grinned.

"I see. So when you were deciding all of this, nothing else crossed your mind at all?" He teased. I blushed.

"Ok, I also wanted to see you Mr. King," I muttered through my smile.

"And I, you," He assured me. It could have been seconds, but it felt like eternity that we stared at each other. Before I even knew what I was doing I was leaning forward. Eyes closing. Closer and closer to the warmth that was Danny's body. Head slightly tilted. Closer still. I could almost feel him. Our fingers touched...

"There you guys are!" Far burst in like a madman. Danny and I froze, then scowled at Far.

"What are you two doing here? I told you to wait by the training room! For a second there I thought you didn't want me around!" Far laughed. He stopped. "Am I interrupting something?"

"No," Danny lied through gritted teeth.

"Yes!" I said at the same time.

"Ok?" Far rubbed his neck awkwardly.

"Come, I will take you both to Fury," Danny broke the silence. We followed him out. As we navigated the endless corridors of steel Far leaned by my ear.

"Hey Mira, why are you so red? Were you and Danny about to you-know-what?" He sniggered. I snarled.

"Shut up infidel," I hissed.

"Mira when is your birthday? 'Cause I am so getting you a dictionary!" Far chuckled. I frowned because I knew he was right.

"We are here," Danny announced. He motioned us forward and we walked in.

"Um, hi Director Fury, Sir," I stuttered. Far just strolled in and took a seat with his hands behind his head.

"Hello, so, what are your real names recruits? I'm looking at you Billy," Fury glared at Far, who shrugged it off.

"I am Mira Stone and this is Farligan Byrd," I said.

"But I'm called Far," Far added. Fury nodded.

"Well, since you both joined us so unexpectedly, you'll have to bunk with some of the others until your rooms are prepared," Fury started. Now it was our turn to nod.

"Far, you will be bunking with Danny," Fury said. Far grinned. "And Mira, being a girl, you will bunk with Ava," He finished. I choked a little.

"Miss Pre-I mean, Ava?" I asked weakly. He nodded.

"Is that a problem?"

"Um...nope! Not at all!" I said brightly. This is a problem! This is a huge complete problem!

"Good, you are dismissed," Fury said. I died on the inside.

This time I swear that the cover will be out tomorrow! I swear! Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed and things are definitely not looking good for Mira! Anyway...

Wolf out...
