Okay so first off, this chapter has some action and some secrets and a lot of questions! Yay! Also, a couple people have been asking me about the updates and stuff. I update every Sunday! Usually before noon, or just after it. Sorry I can't do more than once a week, but I don't have the time.

Reviewers:

Neyite: Thanks for reviewing!

Wordjumble29: Again, sorry but I can't update more often, even though I will try. I am glad you like the story that much though!

IronFistRocks: Ooh! I'll admit that I had a different idea, but I like yours better! Thanks for that!

ArtemisBAMF1218: Haha, yeah, Far isn't very subtle! And as far as him admitting it, well you'll just have to keep reading! And no, Katana wasn't watching them. I actually wanted to do something like that, but I couldn't figure out how anyone would even get all the way up to the Tri-Carrier. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Ava's pov

Mira ran out of the training room. I knew where she was going. Danny was starting to run after her and I mentally sighed. I glanced at Far, who was already practically tackling Danny.

"Dude! Come on! We'll go this way to cut her off!" Far shouted, leading Danny in a different direction. Perfect!

"Ava!" Peter was calling after me as I took off. Mira had a good start on me, but the amulet was pulsing at my side, increasing my speed. The metal walls sped by in a blur. My breath came out in hot bursts. I realized I was panting. For a moment I wondered why everything seemed taller around me. Wait...I'm on all fours!

There it was! My room! I charged in and froze. Mira was on my bed, staring at the tiny journal with the key from her locket still lodged into it. Her chest was heaving up and down. She was crying.

"Mira..." I whispered.

"You!" She turned to me with hatred in her eyes. "How could you! I take back what I said! I do hate you! I hate you! I hate you! I HATE YOU!" She screamed.

"Mira what happened?" Danny zoomed into the room. His eyes landed on Mira, then on me.

"Ava I'm sorry! When Danny's mad you might as well be trying to contain the Hulk!" Far apologized from behind Danny.

"What?" Danny and Mira said at the same time.

"Okay! What is going on!" Danny fumed. I could have laughed. It was the first time that Danny had skipped his 'patience is a virtue' phrase and gone straight to anger.

"It wasn't me! I swear! It was her idea!" Far pointed at me. I glared.

"What is her idea?" Mira stepped closer to him. He grinned nervously. I thought he look kind of like a lynx. With his white hair, slightly pointed teeth and grayish eyes.

"Well I wouldn't have done anything if Danny had realized what was right in front of him!" I yelled exasperated.

"What are you talking about Ava! I thought you were my friend! But now you've obviously hurt my..." Danny cut off. He looked to Mira, who was staring at him intently. Danny smiled, and it was a glimpse into his usual, calm demeanor.

"My girlfriend," He stated firmly.

I growled, low and feral. The drumming of the amulet grew louder and louder, in sync with the rushing of my blood. This time it was conscious. I knew it was changing me. And I let it.

Or at least, I was about to let it, when the lights flashed red and the alarm sounded. Fury's face appeared on my communicator.

"I need everyone on the ground! Even the new recruits! Some type of undead infestation down there! We've scanned the situation but we have no match. All we know is that it acts like a super virus. Whatever you do, don't let them touch you! Fury out!" He yelled.

We all looked at each other. Danny and Mira both paled. Mira mouthed virus, then they were off. Far chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. I rolled my eyes behind my mask and grabbed his arm. I pulled him through the corridors and met up with the rest of the team.

Mira's pov

It was here! Already! Danny and I rushed through the halls, not bothering to find the team. We found an open hatch. Danny tossed some rope down and secured it.

"Um Danny?" I asked nervously.

"Are you scared?" He smiled at me and reached out to grab me around the waist. I thought about it. Scared? Me? Really?

"No. I just wanted to do this," I grabbed his face and pulled it down to mine. I twisted my face and pressed my lips against his. He was shocked for a moment, then he slipped his arms around me and held me close. It felt like forever. Pressed against his warmth. Bliss.

It was ruined all too soon. He pulled back, eyes half lidded. He gave me a cheeky grin.

"What was that for?" He asked.

"Just in case," I told him. He nodded.

"Race you down!" I yelled and jumped down the coil of rope.

I heard his laughter behind me and felt him dive onto the rope. We slid almost all the way. The rope stopped short a few feet from the ground. I jumped to the bottom.

I rubbed my hands together trying to get them to stop stinging, they were completely red.

"Have fun?" Danny asked me as he jumped down next to me. He showed me his glowing gold hands, completely unburnt.

"Iron fists help," He said lightly. Then he tensed. I saw his smile disappear into nothingness. I turned and saw them.

About fifty of them, all with half metal faces. And they were staggering after people with cries of "help me!" And shouts of "Save me!"

"Fury is right. They are like zombies," Danny muttered.

"Whoa..." We jumped only to see Sam lowering down Luke and Peter swinging down with Ava. They all stared at the hordes of diseased New Yorkers.

"How...How did this..." Even Peter was at a loss for words.

"There's no way we can stop this...not from here..." I said.

"Sweet Christmas...We need to quarantine the area. Like, now," Luke pointed out.

"But we have no way of knowing who's infected!" Danny told him.

"But if it's of magical origin, then we need to cut it off at the source!" I reasoned. Danny's eye plates widened.

"Kun'Lun. I forgot about it. Some king I am..." He sighed.

"What's the plan fortune cookie?" Sam asked.

"Mira, Far and I are going back to Kun'Lun. If it is of magical origin, we can stop it from there. You need to stay here and try to contain these people. Don't let them touch you! No matter what you have to do!" He warned.

"Why you three?" Luke asked.

"It is my responsibility, and Mira and Far know it well," Danny answered. So it was settled. We were going home. I just hoped there would be a home to go back to.

Yup! So next chapter they'll be on their way! And you'll find out just what Ava's idea was! Hope you guys enjoyed! Anyway...
