So I'm really happy with this chapter because it is the beginning of stuff finally happening! Yes! So please enjoy, and don't forget to review!

Reviewers:

TheImmortalWeapon: I know right! I know the series is called Ultimate Spiderman, but the other characters, especially Danny, get no screen time or recognition! And I do really like your ideas, and I have used a few! So thanks for those and I loved your latest chapter of Next Gen: Kai, and Neon!

IronFistRocks: Glad you liked the kiss scene! Keep reading and reviewing, I think you'll like this chapter.

wordjumble29: Thanks! And yes, I am trying to figure out how to update more, but no promises!

ArtemisBAMF1218: Yep! Ava's plan will be revealed next chapter! I think. Nice happy dance, and I'm happy you liked the kiss scene! And yes, the romance is now official! And it will develop with Far as a total third wheel! Thanks for reviewing!

Nocx: Um. There are only two OCs. Far and Mira. The father and Katana and those people are just citizens. Background characters. So that Kun'Lun is not a ghost town. So I don't think that's fair. But I will apologize if it's slightly confusing. And I saw on your profile that you don't really like romance stories anyway so...yeah.

Mira's pov

The plane engine whirred. I leaned into the plush leather seats and stared out the window. Danny sat in the middle of Far and I. It was unnerving. To think that we had all been on this same plane almost a week ago. Only Far and I had been in the hold, not on an actual seat.

Clouds lazily drifted by outside. Tiny multicolored squares of farmland were scattered below. I've never flown before. My stomach clenched nervously. I didn't doubt Danny aircraft was safe, but I couldn't keep my mind off potential dangers of crashing.

It was ridiculous. But I was scared.

"Ow Mira..." Danny muttered beside me. I looked down and pried my fingernails out of his arm. Oops. He smiled and went back to sleep. Far was sprawled out on the seats.

I sighed. I guessed I was alone. This was going to be a long flight.

I slipped my locket out from under my dress and rubbed my finger over its smooth face. I calmed down almost instantly.

"Don' touch em'...don' touch...king's help...failure..."Danny murmured in his sleep. I turned to him. He was squirming in his seat, tossing and turning. His face was slightly scrunched up, and his eyelids fluttered.

I felt the need to wake him, but I also wanted to let him sleep. I decided to let him be for a little bit.

I felt the cool glass of my locket and thought about Ava. The journal was in my small satchel of belongings. She had been reading it. For some reason I knew that if all that was in the journal was my own thoughts, I would have felt better.

But she read Mother's story. She must have. I felt violated somehow, like she insulted Mother. But it had also led to something greater.

He called me his girlfriend.

My cheeks burned. Me! Danny's girlfriend! The nervousness in my stomach escalated, but morphed into happiness. I went back to that moment n my mind.

How he had looked at me, as if asking my permission. How I had stared at him, waiting for his answer. And it had come!

"Mira?" I saw Danny waking up.

"Hey."

"What are you thinking?" He smiled. I sighed happily.

"Nothing really. What were you dreaming about?" I asked him. His smile disappeared.

"Kun'Lun mostly. What do you think we'll find?" He wondered. I squeezed his hand and grinned at him.

"Patience is a virtue," I quoted. He chuckled but it didn't reach his eyes.

"Indeed it is," He added. Then he lowered his head and kissed my lips softly. Just a quick peck. Then he straightened and looked at me. Fireworks exploded in my chest. I hoped the feeling would never fade.

"What was that for?" I asked him playfully.

"Just in case," He told me. I laughed just loud enough to wake up Far. He jolted in his sleep before shooting straight up.

"I didn't do it!" He yelled. Danny and I giggled. He looked at us and for a moment I didn't recognize him.

His face was tight and his stormy eyes were widened in fear, and...wet? Terror, such a foreign expression on the cocky pest. Then his features melted into his usual sly expression, and he was wiping his eyes.

"Thanks witch! I was just about to make out with Katniss!" He grumbled.

"Who?" I cocked my head.

"From the Hunger Games? Katniss Everdeen? Can you even movie?" He asked incredulously. He gave up and sighed.

"Then why did you exclaim, I didn't do it?" Danny asked. Far seemed uncomfortable.

"Um...did I?" He brushed past it. "Oh hey! Look!" He yelled.

Danny and I looked out the window. A frozen wasteland. Craggy mountains rose up from the ground as the evening shadows stretched across the white blanket of snow. And in the middle of the pale powder, was a bright red light.

Danny got up and walked to the front of the plane. I saw him speaking with the pilot.

"Where's Kun'Lun?" Far was muttering, smashing his face against the glass.

"It looks natural. Like a fire or something," I observed. Danny walked back as the plane started to dip slightly.

"He says Kun'Lun is another eight miles from here."

"Then what is that?" Far asked.

"We do not know. We're landing to see what's going on," Danny answered.

"Remind me how we reenter Kun'Lun?" I said, trying to distract myself from the declining plane.

"Well, when we left Kun'Lun, the portal was naturally open. The monks have agreed to simulate a portal with their combined chi energy, so we can come back in."

I still barely understood it, but I guess it would make more sense when it all happened.

The engine whine filled my head. My ears started popping painfully. I hung onto Danny for dear life. To be honest, I liked it better in the cargo hold.

Then I felt the plane go level with the ground and my ears returned to normal.

"We have arrived!" The pilot called from his seat. I exhaled in relief. The motion stopped and the Pilot walked over to the door. He slid it up and Danny, Far and I walked through. The door shut behind us.

Whoa. It was freezing. Especially in my thin long-sleeved green dress and black parka. I definitely would need to get used to Kun'Lunian weather again. My boots sunk in the snow. Far was wearing a blue coat over his hoodie and black skinny jeans. Danny didn't seemed fazed by the cold. Draped in his traditional Kun'Lunian armor.

With no sleeves. At all.

I shivered, and saw I'd been correct. The bright light was a bonfire, about a hundred yards away. I had to restrain myself from taking off just to get at that warmth. We started walking.

Plop. Plop. Plop.

Our shoes flapped against the snow and kept getting stuck. Eventually we were close enough to hear shouting and cries of people. I could just barely see a flat, gray building outlined against the setting sun.

"Hey, check that out. Those dudes are walking around that building like their pants are made of cardboard!" Far snorted. I looked and he was right. Men were stiffly walking in a line around the building. I chuckled quietly.

It looked like they were playing a massive game of follow the leader! Until I noticed that they were in uniform. And marching. And carrying swords.

"I don't think they're just walking..." I said stupidly.

"Are they...guarding it?" Far guessed.

"I believe so. The question is from what?" Danny said ominously. And with that, we started jogging over to the camp.

Thanks for reading! Leave a review and Ava's plan will be revealed in the next chapter, probably. Anyway...

Wolf out...
