So I know I kind of disappeared from Fanfiction, and I'm sorry. But I've been super busy with school starting and I recently started a YouTube channel (Shameless plugs) so I just haven't had time for writing. My stories are going on hold for a while until I get back to them.

Traitor will be updated one more time next Sunday.

The Struggles of World Domination will be updated one more time tomorrow.

And As You Wish will be updated either Thursday or Friday!

It was dim, in a circular chamber bathed only in candlelight. A cloaked woman's figure moved around the space, seemingly gliding across the marble ground. Her shoulders shook with barely contained sobs.

A teenager of maybe 18 or 19 appeared from nowhere. He was clad in a bright red cloak with a long hood. The woman stiffened.

"Well? How are they doing?" He snarled.

"They are coming," The woman's voice was raspy and ugly. The boy winced.

"Good. What is their condition?"

"The king is drugged, and his companions are divided," She wheezed. The boy began to laugh, which slowly turned into a bloody cough. He swayed and then fell to his knees. The woman watched coldly.

"I hope you choke on that blood."

The teen raised his hand and a dark red energy beam shot into the woman's chest. She went flying into the wall, bounced off and collapsed on the floor. The teen breathed heavily.

"Watch what you say, you belong to me," He crawled over to the woman.

"Please, you'll kill yourself. Your body can't take in too much stolen magic or-"

"SHUT UP! I'm fine. I am better than I have ever been," The teen closed his eyes and whispered some words in Latin. The woman's eyes glazed over with white, she started screaming as a pale purple mist floated from her chest into her captor. When the spell was finished, she slumped over, unconscious.

Mira's pov

I woke up in a prison cell. At least, that's what it looked like. Judging by the guards' personalities, it could have just been a break room.

God I'm starting to sound like Far.

The thing that scared me most though, was that I seemed to be alone. I brought my face up to the iron bars and saw even more cages facing me. They were all very clean and empty. But one of them was dirtier, with bits of dusty fabric and some clumps of hair.

It looked like it had been inhabited up until only recently.

Next to me, I heard a moaning sound.

"Hello?" I called out.

"Mira?" Danny's voice, slightly slurred, rang out. My heart did a backflip.

"DANNY!" I screamed. I heard him chuckle.

"I am very happy to hear from you as well."

"I thought you were dead! I thought I killed you! What is wrong with you! Why would you try and fight those guards!" I scolded.

"Wait, what do you mean? You thought you killed me?"

"I, I accidently used too much power. I electrocuted myself, Far and the guards. And you."

"Hmm...and yet you two weren't dead," He pointed out. I couldn't tell if I wanted to kiss or slap him.

"Ok but you were already unconscious!" My face got hot. "I just thought...I just thought..."

"Shh...I'm sorry Mira. It wasn't your fault. It wasn't. And I'm fine. A bit tired, but fine. We just need to wait to see if Far is here, and then we can all escape together," He said calmly. I nodded, even though he couldn't see me.

"You're right." I agreed. Then I remembered what Far had said. I wondered if I should tell Danny.

I was just opening my mouth when a harsh coughing sound drowned out my thoughts.

"Where? Why! WHAT THE ABSOLUTE HECK!" Far screamed from the cell on the other side of me. I guess I was in the middle.

"Far!" Danny and I said in unison.

"No! NO! LET ME OUT! Where am I! Help! AAAAHHH!" He raged. He sounded like he was hyperventilating.

"Far, calm down. It's us. Mira and Danny," Danny tried. Far kept screaming until it morphed into something scarier. Laughter.

He was laughing crazily.

"Far! FAR! What's wrong with him?" I screamed.

"I do not know," Danny yelled back. After a second he stopped. It was eerily silent.

"Guys?" He rasped. I placed a hand on the wall separating us.

"Far. Are you ok?" I asked quietly.

"Yeah, yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" He said shakily.

"You were screaming, and laughing," Danny's tone held a hint of accusation. I wondered what he knew that I didn't.

Funny how we all expect each other to be completely honest, yet we each keep so many secrets.

"Oh? I um...I must have been dreaming," He muttered. Part of me didn't believe him, but I didn't want to make him mad again.

"Oh hey, Danny! You're ok!" Far changed the subject quickly.

"Indeed."

"So...Mira, about what I said..." He started.

"Don't worry about it, we need to focus on getting out," I cut him off. I could sense Danny's confusion, but he said nothing.

The sound of footsteps rang out on the stone. I froze. The footfalls were uneven; the owner must have been either very old or had a limp. I didn't know which I hoped for.

The black, slinking shadow of a woman came first. Tall and slender. And then the cloak, wisps of which flowed close to my cage. I couldn't see her face under her hood, but I knew I trusted her. I just had this feeling. My suspicions were further backed up when she unlocked my cell.

"Who are you?" I asked her. She shook her head, and beckoned me with pale fingers that peeked out from her sleeve.

She then moved back to give me room to crawl out. I did and she began walking back down the hall.

"Wait!" I called out. She looked back, head bowed.

"What about my friends?" I said. She hesitated, like she wanted to speak, then beckoned me again. I decided to only ask yes or no questions.

"Will you let them out?" I wondered for a scary second if she was deaf. Then she nodded. I smiled and waited, nothing.

"Will you let them out right now?" She shook her head no and beckoned once more.

"It's alright Mira. Go," Danny said. I blew him a kiss and followed the strangely comforting woman into a dimly lit chamber of marble.

So, um, I probably made it too obvious. But go ahead and tell me who you think the mystery woman is! Also, you guys have not reviewed very much at all, so please feed my update monster! Anyway...
