IronFistRocks: Ok cool, and no. The secret power is not love. I think Disney would hunt me down to be honest. XD

TheImmortalWeapon: Thanks! I'll go read it now then! Glad you updated. Yeah, I thought about that actually, and I may or may not work it in. But remember, not everyone gets what they deserve...Enjoy!

Mira's pov

It was Far. Far hadn't been drained of his magic. We still weren't entirely sure how his powers worked, just that they influenced his bow. But he was our last resort. This filthy, scrawny kid was our last resort.

"Great. So what's the plan?" He asked.

"Maybe we should check on Kun'Lun?" I suggested. "Learn as much as we can."

"No." Danny said forcefully. "I cannot let my people see me like this."

"Dude. You're people are probably all sick and dying. Your Chi is the last thing on their minds," Far rolled his eyes. I looked to Mother. She nodded.

"We must hurry. Come."

We traveled in silence for a long time. The snow sucked at our ankles. Wind stung our faces. Every now and then, Danny would clench his fists and close his eyes. Nothing. The darkness was palpable.

Far fell behind a few times, sniffing and wiping at his nose. My fingers and toes tingled, slowly going numb from frost. A leaden weariness gripped my body. But there was nothing we could do. No gear. No powers. Except for Far.

"Hey, can you shoot a fire arrow somewhere? I'm freezing," I muttered. Danny and Mother looked back. Far sheepishly glanced all around.

"Um...I think they took my bow before they put us in those cages."

We all groaned.

"Fine. We'll find you another one in Kun'Lun," Danny muttered.

A few more hours later, my whole head hurt. But the sun was starting to creep over the horizon. Those few rays were already igniting the snow into brilliant white fire. I covered my eyes.

"Ok, we can rest for a few hours," Danny spoke quietly. I all but collapsed in the snow. My clothes were soaked through in icy water. Danny fell next to me.

"You shouldn't worry about your Chi," I whispered. He sighed.

"I worked so hard Mira. Nine years of my life. Everything I ever did was to gain the Iron Fist. To become king. And now..."

"I know. We'll get it back," I said. My eyelids drooped. The rest of that hour went by in a blink of my eyes. Danny shook me awake and I stretched away the pain in m joints. We kept moving. Far rubbed his face, he didn't look so good. But I guess I didn't look that great either.

It was nearly sundown once more when we approached the gate of Kun'Lun. I beginning to think we went the wrong way! But there was something wrong. The gate was there. And we had told no one of our arrival. There was also a mile-long line of people stretching out from the inside.

"Whoa," Far murmured. Mother shook her head.

"They're evacuating the city. Giving them enough food and supplies to make it somewhere. Most of them are going to New York," She said.

"Why?" I asked.

"They want to find me," Danny interrupted. Mother nodded.

"The people believe you can help."

"Well then we better get going," Far said. We carefully made our way through the people, not touching any of them. A few of them already had metallic faces, but most didn't. The city was in shambles. Roofs caved in, houses splinted and burnt. Filthy sludge in the streets. We walked through it all.

"Right, first things first. We need to find a bow for Far," I ordered. Danny nodded weakly.

"It's gone. Everything is broken..." He whispered to himself.

"Daniel!" An elderly voice sounded from behind.

"Master Lee!" Danny snapped to attention. The old monk nodded and quickly motioned for us to follow. He led us into an old house.

"Master Lee, what has happened?" Danny asked once we were inside.

"The disease has infected us all. I fear I might have it as well. We are leaving the city."

"We saw a camp, a few days ago," I started, not sure how to finish that statement.

"Indeed. At first, we tried to isolate and...exterminate...the infected. But we should have known it wouldn't work. It's impossible to tell who has it until it's too late," He sighed, "Until they have infected at least a dozen more."

"Master Lee. You and the others once taught me that life is sacred. How could you just-" Danny began.

"Because we must do what it best for everyone Daniel. And sometimes that requires hard decisions."

"Hey um...do you have any spare bows?" That was Far, tactful as always. Master Lee looked at him as if acknowledging him for the first time.

"Perhaps. At the palace," Master Lee rose. We did the same. "Come. You can rest up before you aid us in stopping this disease."

"What?" Danny asked, shocked by the old man's knowledge.

"You are helping us, correct?"

"Indeed but-"

"Well then follow." And follow we did.

Danny's pov

We told Master Lee everything. Even about my Chi. He listened the entire time, saying nothing. Some of the palace was holey and burnt. My home destroyed. Eventually we finished. Far had been given a new bow and was testing it out while Master Lee watched.

"Impressive. But how are you going to use that against Scorpion?" He asked.

"Well, we were hoping to use your blade," I said. Mira looked at me him in confusion. Master Lee smiled.

"Ah. Shao Lao's Blade. Interesting."

"What's that?" Far asked. I answered.

"It's supposed to be able to suck all power from someone, but...it also kills."

Everyone went silent. I felt my insides twist into a knot. I didn't want to kill Scorpion. But what choice did I have? Besides, he wasn't my brother anymore. He'd proved that.

Master Lee's smile widened for some reason. I felt a sense of cold dread.

"Come. The blade is over here," Master Lee once again had us following close behind. This time, it was to a large, jagged opening in the palace wall. I vaguely remembered that there used to be a door there. Something had broken in.

We stepped inside and to my surprise, the blade sat there on its pedestal. Untouched. But then, why was the door down? There was nothing else in the room.

Master Lee picked up the simple dagger. A dragon's head carved into the bottom of the handle. I stepped forward and held out my hands. Master Lee walked past me until he stood in front of Far. I cocked my head.

Master Lee grinned sickly.

The blade came down.

Far put his hands up.

A scream.

A crunch.

And the six-inch silver blade impaled in one of Far's hands.

First off, don't worry. Everything will be explained next chapter. And secondly, anyone want to guess why Master Lee did what he did? I feel like not many will be able to guess. But yeah, hope you guys enjoyed. Next chapter coming very, very, very soon. Maybe even tomorrow. Anyway...
