Well I was thoroughly entertained and disappointed at the game, it was fun but it lacked that Bioshock Infinite kind of thrill ride, or that Destiny flair. Yes I know those are unrelated, leave me alone T^T can't get my money back now...oh well, story time! Deverou continues his pointless training to reduce his waifu senses when Weiss is in danger, and we see some side characters talking and making some progress into their lives.

Season 2-Prologue 3

Hell is What You Make of It

Fear isn't Evil; it lets Us know what Our Weaknesses Are

How many days, months, years, had Deverou been in that forest? How many times had his blood painted the waterfall a sickening crimson? Xich sat on the rock in the middle of the pool resting his golden Eye of Pain. Deverou only had the one eye, but Xich had two. The Eye of Pain made the wielder suffer a thousand various tortures and pains, while the Eye of Shadows manipulated their eyes into seeing whatever scared them the most. The Eye of Still Waters could do both of these as well as see auras, but Deverou was not as adept as his father was and still had much to learn. "You know we can quit any time you want, by now your body must be so accustomed to pain that you're in a state of mental confusion being without it for more than half a second." Xich replied lazily, "Personally I'm getting a little bored staring into your eyes and watching you spasm for 10-20 minutes on end."

Deverou gasped breaking free of the latest illusion before replying slowly, "10-20 huh? You must be getting sloppy then cousin."

Xich smiled, "Well we all don't use our powers in a team setting. Mine can't really be used to coordinate much other than to make illusions, and even then it doesn't work on a strong mind. Speaking of strong mind, you were only in that illusion of torture for about 10 seconds after I broke eye contact, you're getting stronger Deverou."

"Well now like you said the pain comes naturally, so I can think clearly through it now. Once I realize it's an illusion I can break free from it." He replied as he went to the pool to splash water in his face, his entire body numb with aches and pains.

"So I'm guessing you want to take a break?" Xich asked drinking from the canteen of water he brought with him.

"Not in the least; now we begin phase two." Deverou replied standing and drawing his weapon.

"Remember." Xich added as he drew his twin chain-scythes, "No hesitation."

As he said this the woods were filled with the screams of Weiss crying out for Deverou's help, "Can you find her in time cousin?"

"You bastard!" Deverou cried as he leapt forward; the shadows had taken hold.

I'm not Crazy, my Reality is just Different from Yours.

Ryzia watched the two spar from the comfort of her own little batch of shadows, Deverou pushing Xich back only to run around like a chicken with his head cut off screaming for Weiss when truly there was no one there. It was rather amusing to watch the little lap dog of the Schnee bastards running and screaming for a girl who probably didn't care if he lived or died. "Enjoying yourself up here?" a voice called from behind. She almost jumped out of her skin until she saw the Shadow Thief behind her. Say what you will about Brandon Copper, even with your guard up he could rob you blind.

As she thought that she noticed something, "Give me my wallet back Brandon."

He held up the cartoon kitty wallet she had and tossed it to her, "You know for an assassin of the White Fang you have pretty kiddy crap. By the way if I had been anyone else you'd be dead right now what happened to all that stay on your guard stuff?"

She didn't want him to know she had her guard up the whole time so she dodged the question, "How long have you been here?"

"Long enough to watch you leave and get a bag of chips to watch the festivities." He replied nonchalantly checking his new gloves, black with white wings patterned on them.

So he had been here for at least 4 hours and she had not noticed him, he was exceptionally good, or she was getting sloppy. "How did you do it?"

"You know, I never liked the name Shadow Thief. Personally I feel stealing from rich assholes and giving it to those who need it makes me a bit more noble than that, but hey you can't always afford a PR team when you're robbing people blind." He said as he pulled out his own provisions and began to eat them.

"You didn't answer my question, how did you sneak up on me?" She asked giving him a stern look, "Need I remind you you're on probation so I'd better get a good goddamn answer!"

He eyed her lazily and swallowed the candy bar he was half-way through. "I can bend rays of light to mask my presence. It's not like that David Frystlik where he uses Ice and Mist to refract light, I actually bend it; think of me as a walking can of instant camo."

So that's how; her shadow semblance allowed her to fade into the background, but his allowed him to disappear completely from view. It was an interesting ability. "So what is your purpose for being here?"

"Would you believe me if I said I was finding out your routine to get to know you better? Maybe one day we'll get married and have a house on the hill!" He said dripping sarcasm, "Nah I was just bored and thought spying on someone would give me satisfaction."

She gritted her teeth and looked away, "I see." He rose to walk away, "Let me ask you Brandon, what is your first conscious memory?"

"Dumb question," He replied curtly, "why do you ask?"

She smiled grimly the image flashing vividly into her mind, "I remember mine so vividly, my father standing in front of a group of armed men as my mother held me close. He told them to leave us alone, that Faunus had rights too; they laughed before they shot him and didn't stop until I heard their guns click empty. Then they beat my mother to near unconsciousness and told her to pay what my father owed, they took everything from us and left us to die. Tell me Brandon, did we deserve it? Was that fair?"

He continued to look away, "Life isn't fair, that's reality."

She smiled sadly as she watched the Tenebrous fight one another. "Well I'm sorry but I believe differently; I believe that life is fair, and for all the years of suffering we Faunus have endured we shall have our uprising. Mankind will return to the day where they feared the night, and rightly so."

"Whatever, I'm going to see if that Ellone girl has anymore good sweets in her place." He walked away as she dreamed of the fair world that would be one day soon.

The Innocence of a child, is the Most Precious thing.

"Zero! Have you seen my candies?" Ellone shouted to the boy as he cleaned his blade and guns.

"No I haven't! Have you checked beneath your kitty pillow?" He looked at her side of the room she shared with Sarais, and was surprised by the contrast. Ellone had many kids movies and TV shows along with enough pink to make Ragnar's aura fade into obscurity. Besides all this she had a candy collection to give a lesser person a mouth full of cavities. "Which ones are you looking for?"

She popped up from beneath her bed, "The colored sugar candies my father sent over!"

"Well I mean, you still have your chocolates, your taffies, your chocolate coated fruits and nuts, your sour strips and straws, and your various types of bubblegum. You sure you can't part with these?" He asked.

She gave him a frown, "I don't know Zero can you live without your appendix!?"

"Well actually." He started before the biggest groan of his life cut him off.

"That's not the point Zero! I mean if someone took away something super important to your vitality and longevity would you be upset?" She asked with her patented pouty face.

He didn't know what was worse, the pouty face or the fact that she knew what vitality and longevity meant. "Um, well if someone took my weapons I'd be sad."

"See! Those were given to you by someone important, so I want my stuff back!" She screamed and kicked her feet.

"Um, it'll be okay. We can find them easily if we just retrace your steps, what did you do today." He asked.

"Well," She started as she began to think heavily, more so than she had done in a long time, "I started by writing to my family; my uncle John, Aunt Sally, Cousins Mindy, Mandy, and Jeffry, My mother's cousin Sue and her sons Chris and Matt, My father's brother Yan and his Wife Marianne, my mother Christine and my father Luke, Grandma Patricia and Grandpa Joey, oh and my brothers and sisters, all 8 of them! There was Kim, Minerva, Butch, Mark, Davey…"

Zero decided to cut it short, "Okay and after your family what did you do?"

"Oh! Um, well I took a nap and then I woke up when I wanted candy, and then it was gone!" She cried out.

He had a good idea of what happened. "And during all this did anyone other than me come in?"

"Um, someone walked in at one point. I think it was Sarais because when I called out she didn't answer!"

"Uh-huh." He said, easily cracking the case, "Ellone I think Brandon stole candy from you." He replied.

"Your teammate! But he's so nice, and plus he also eats candy from my parents company which means he has good taste!" She said, enthusiastically trying to defend him.

"And when you see him eating this candy is it the same as the ones that go missing from your stock every week or so?" He asked.

"Well yeah but I," It suddenly dawned on her when her face changed to shock, "HE'S BEEN STEALING FROM ME!" She screamed with the sudden revelation, before tearing up.

"Ellone, no don't cry!"

"B-but he was so nice, and he liked candy. H-he could have asked and I would have shared with him." She sobbed.

"I know, I'll ask him to return it tomorrow okay?" He said with a soothing tone.

"O-okay." She sobbed back.

Hell Hath no Fury, like a woman Scorned

"Oh Ragnar!" Odette smiled in her usual malicious way that sent chills up his spine.

"Um, y-yes?" He asked.

"Lately Sarais and I have been talking, and we wanted to know why you're avoiding your own team?" She asked as Sarais joined her in a glare.

"Um, well I'm the only guy on a team of girls; one of which is super-soldier scary, and the other is uh, complicated? Oh and then there's Ellone." He added with a slight smile at her youthful innocence.

"Oh I see!" Odette added with mock shock, "The big hunter is afraid of strong women!"

"Hey I didn't." He chose not to finish as Odette got in his face.

"Don't think I don't know the real reason why, you're just afraid that one day you'll lose that battle with your manly urges and take the low road to Scumbagville!" She added.

"Okay, you are reading way too many of those magazines, and plus I saw you reading Mary Knight's romance novels; I know what goes on in your head! As for Sarais, you're just a tad over-bearing, so yeah I want to get away to hang out with guys for a while to chill out. In my village I was one of the weaker people because I decided on caution rather than wrestling Ursa with my bare-hands like cousin Utor, so here I'm one of the stronger people so I prefer the company of people like Rory or Knives who like to have a friendly sparring match. That's what I've been doing lately." He finished.

"You've been sparring with Knives?" Sarais asked, "Wasn't he in the hospital until a few days ago?"

"Yes, but he's been requesting that." Ragnar added.

"I see, never mind then!" Odette added as they walked off, once out of earshot Odette turned to Sarais, "Keep an eye on Knives; if he's pushing himself this hard it's either because of guilt or because something is up, plus, he was just in the hospital, so if he's trying to reopen his wounds there's a good reason."

"Okay, I have a cousin who could help us out if need be, but she's a bit; different." She added.

"That's fine, talk with her and see if she can help."

Hell is What You Make of It, Unending Agony or Isolation

How many days had Sinon sat on that roof watching the building across from her, five days; seven? It didn't matter; part of being a sniper was to be able to wait until you had your kill. Her black hair had become ragged in the past few days, her white T-shirt stained with sweat and grime underneath her bullet-proof vest and green camo jacket. The only thing that looked okay was her black shorts and dark green leggings. On the back of her jacket was a White Fang emblem with crosshairs on it's head that said Lone, "The last thing you never see." She had scoped out her target for days, crawling through air ducts and walking the back alleys until she had the perfect vantage point and spent the rest of the time getting her target's routine down. Right now he would be on the toilet reading the paper, and soon the rock star upstairs would begin practice and all she had to do was time the shot to be in beat with the music. She had to wait. Thump. One. Thump. Two. Thump-Thump. Three. Now was the time, she began to squeeze the trigger, when her phone began beeping. "Hello?" She said keeping her shot well kept and pressing her earpiece to run the call.

"Hey cousin! I know you're probably busy right now, but can I ask a favor?"

She syncing her shot up again trying to talk and shoot was rather frustrating, "You'll have to make it quick, I'm in the middle of something."

"With your boyfriend again?" She teased.

"He's not my boyfriend!" She cried, making her shot and slamming her rifle to the ground in frustration and satisfaction; an odd combination, "That strawberry sundae eating idiot is not my boyfriend! He's my rival in business!"

"Whatever, hey can I ask you to do something for me?"

"Aren't you already!?" She screamed into the phone.

"Right, can you investigate a student of Beacon for me?" Sarais asked.

"Sarais, I'm not helping you get a leg-up on the competition; uncle already said!"

"Oh I know what my father said, this isn't about that. I want to know what his background is and I want you to monitor him; he was in a big accident recently and Odette, my teammate, thinks he might be in danger. She won't admit it, but she cares about another one of our teammates, I think she likes him, and she wants his sparring buddy to be intact." She replied.

"Um, well that's a lengthy and unneeded explanation; so you want me to just spy on and protect this kid?" She asked.

"Yeah pretty much!" Sarais chirped.

Sinon sighed, "You know that isn't my line of work."

"Yes, but I know you'll do great!"

Sinon hung up the phone and packed up; she'd been downgraded from assassin to bodyguard; oh joy.

T^T Poor Sinon, I wouldn't want to bodyguard Knives either...mostly cause he can take care of himself, but hey she don't know. Now on with more plans I have and my diabolical agenda for these lovable characters. I need to kill or maim someone soon...
