This is just a one-shot I made a while back after watching Gideon Rises explaining what I think may have happened to cause Stan to go into the vending machine in the first episode. I added my own little character for fun. I'm not gonna do a follow up chapter but I hope anyone reading likes this. Peace.

A young girl about the age of fourteen slung a backpack over her shoulders and studied the path below her. It was a forest ground and fading sunlight streamed throughout the trees. She smiled to herself. "Haven't been here in a while," she muttered softly.

She looked around. Though impossible to see, a tattoo was hidden on her shoulder. One of significance.. and if anybody found out bad things would happen. Very bad things. Momentarily forgetting that she looked around. "This place hasn't changed a bit", she said.

For she had arrived in Gravity Falls, "Let's see how Stan's holding up", she said. She walked down a hill, a sign hung up right behind her said, Welcome to Gravity Falls! She chuckled, and pulled out Book 1.

For this girl was more than a teen visiting the old town for fun and leisure. This one girl, this seemingly unimportant girl had a job to do. She clutched the book in her left hand, her golden hair tied into a braid, she looked very plain and normal.

With a splash of freckles on her face and pale skin, a dull gray jacket, jeans and boots she seemed very laid back. She looked around. "I hope the twins arrived safely," she murmured.

She walked up to the Mystery Shack. It was just the start of summer. The Pines twins were supposed to have arrived two weeks ago. She looked around. No one seemed to be watching her. Good.

She walked in. She immediately noticed two identical looking brunettes cleaning. A boy and a girl. The girl was watching another boy about ten feet away open a card. "He's looking at it! He's looking at it!", she whispered. Her twin rolled his eyes. "Mabel, I know you're going through your whole 'boy crazy' faze but can you not crush on every guy you meet?" he asked.

His twin pushed him, "Come ON Dipper it's summer vacation. I think it's about time I have my epic summer romance!" she said happily. The girl observed them. So that's the Pine twins. Stan Pines then walked in the door clutching his stomach and groaning, "Oh! Oh! OW! not good! not good!" he said. Groans of the twin girl Mabel were heard in the distance as laughter of her brother followed, "Alright! alright! Look alive, people." Stan said.

The girl ducked behind some racks of clothing until after a minute or two everyone left to go about their normal business. Now's the time. She walked up to him. "Stan Pines?" she asked. He turned and his eyes widened in shock, "You.. what do you want?" he asked gruffly as if addressing a customer. All part of the disguise.

The girl quietly handed Stan the book, "I see the twins are okay", she said. He nodded, "Yeah, I just sent Dipper to do some work", he said. The girl nodded, "Good. Well, you know what to do. Oh and we've been suspicious of that Gideon character. We think he might have book two or three."

Stan nodded, "Ok, well I'll watch out." Then the girl turned and left. Her job was done.

That night as the twins were settling into bed, Stanford Pines walked to the vending machine, he put in the code and walked in. He was lowered into the secret room. The lantern was flashing lights on all the machines. He opened the drawer with the twins picture on top of it and put the book in. "If only everyone knew the truth.. we're so close." he whispered to himself.

He looked at the picture of his beloved niece and nephew, "Then our lives will change. You'll see." He looked around, "We just have to wait."
