OMIGOSH I AM SO FLIPIN' SORRY!
I HAD A HUSGE WRITERS BLOCK!
BUT NOW I'M BACK!
YAY!
ON TO ZHE CHAPTER!
A woman with pure black hair, pale skin, and deep red eyes came into view. Her shadow-like shawl drifted behind her, seeming to defy gravity as it hovered behind her, though no wind was active. Her lips had a slight tinge of red on them, but it was easy to tell she was wearing no make-up. She held a dark cloud in one of her pale hands, as she concentrated on it with an un-wavering glare. She could practically feel the pain and hear the screams that erupted from the unfortunate cloud's world, and held onto the grey mass tighter, a smirk growing on her face. The smirk soon turned to a grimace as the cloud lost its darkness and turned into a pale gold. The woman growled, and dug her blood-red nails into the cloud, causing it to turn red and dissipate. She turned around quickly to observe the other clouds, but it was too late. They had already turned to the light and drifted from her view. The woman frowned for a moment, but then her lips tipped upwards and she gave out a hollow chuckle.
"Dang girl, never seem to let me have any fun, now do you?" the woman chuckled, looking to the sky ruefully.
She walked further into the darkness, spotting the shadows that swirled around her almost joyfully. She smiled and spun a bit, her white fangs showing in her broadened smile. She picked up her foot, which rested in a black boot with 5-inch heels, and kicked the speck of light that threatened to attack her shadows. She kneeled down and brushed her hand against a shadow snake's head, cooing soft words of protection to it. No light was going to get her family. She wandered through her realm, whistling a soft tune that would send shivers down anyone else's back, though she felt it quite enjoyable. As she strolled through her dark wonderland, a strange shadow appeared behind her, causing her to swiftly turn around with a slight smile on her face.
"Good evening, Zeref." she said to the sad-looking mage.
"Yeah, hi…" Zeref replied sadly.
The woman's face softened as she walked up to the boy, she was about a head taller than him, so she leaned down and cupped his face with her hands. "The world still doesn't accept you?"
Zeref shook his head.
"Oh…my poor child." the woman sympathized, wrapping her arms around Zeref's arms and placing her chin on his head.
Of course, this woman wasn't truly Zeref's mother, but she was as close to a mother as Zeref had. She always cared for the unfortunate mage, as he was a child of her darkness, and she was the one who had brought this fate upon his poor soul. Her hands brushed his hair as it always did as she whispered words of apology. She kissed his forehead before they both separated from each other's grasp.
"Now, I'm assuming you didn't just come here to say hello, now did you?" the woman asked.
"No, actually there's an urgent matter that requires your action." Zeref replied sternly.
"And you won't tell me what it is?"
Zeref shook his head, "I'm not sure what it is."
The woman nodded before taking ahold of Zeref's hand, and transporting away in a cloud of smoke.
They arrived in a cloudy area, though not much could be seen. The pictures began to fade in and out with different images and pictures. In it held the strange girl from before, along with Leo, the celestial spirit. The two women stood side-by-side and faced an unknown girl.
Birds surrounded the strange girl and two wings sprouted from her back elegantly. She had fair skin with black, almost a deep color of blue, hair that reached her hips. Her eyes could not be seen, and her mouth was moving slowly as if she was talking to the two women. They both nodded and turned to each other. Their hands neared together and they both chanted out a simple phrase.
"For the good of this unfortunate world, I will not hesitate." The two voices rang out, the identity of the owners partially known.
Before the scene changed, the unknown girl looked straight ahead of her, locking eyes with the young girl that was seeing this happen. She giggled a bit and put a single hand to her mouth, before turning it towards the observer and blowing a kiss.
The hands then clasped together, and all that could be seen was black. Then the center of the black partially cleared, and all that could be seen was the head of a black dragon, with a beautiful meadow in the background. The red eyes on the dragon seemed to hold sternness, yet care for the child it was observing. Two small hands, both belonging to a young babe, hugged the dragon's snout as if it was trying to hug the being. The dragon's expression softened as it closed its eyes, leaning in so the child's arms fully embraced the dragon, before backing up once more and opening its beautiful eyes. A deep voice than rang out, as if the dragon was speaking to the child, but its mouth never moved.
"Stay strong, my darling child." the fatherly voice rang out, and the world faded from view.
The dream should've ended there, but it did not. Images of the most recent event flashed through the image and injured comrades flashed through the world. Pain, suffering, fear, and loss struck the dreamer's mind before a flash of red engulfed her.
Two eyes snapped open as Aurea leaped up from her position, panting heavily and clutching her head in her hands. Her hair was now down, and no longer in its usual ponytail, and her bangs now covered her eyes, the one golden strand brushing against her nose softly. Her body started to shake frantically as tears threatened to fall once more. She could not scream, her body would not allow it, and her eyes were wide in fear. Her clothes had been changed, and she now sat in a white nightgown with her feet uncovered. She noticed she was lying in a bed, but nothing like that mattered right now.
Desperate thoughts now ran through her head as she roced back and forth.
Where's Gray?
Where's Lucy?
Where's Erza?
Where's Natsu?
…Where's Kai!?
KAI!?
With the worrying though of her friend; the one she had saved, the one who saved her, and the one she couldn't bear to lose, she didn't notice as an ear piercing scream launched out of her mouth.
