Still down own Xiaolin Showdown or TDA.

Thank you so much my wonderful lovelies for all the reviews! If everyone were on TDA, I'd be giving them gilded versions of my username! Kidding, kidding, it would be gilded Chris, as usual...

Anyways, enjoy!

"Has anyone seen Chris?" Edward asked after Chris had been missing for two days and Sarah for two and a half. "He went missing during the search party."

"No," DeShawn said, and Trinity narrowed her eyes.

Edward sighed before Chef started dishing up food for the campers who were left, with most of them eating in silence. Logan, DeShawn, Haden, Edward, Trinity and Brett were the only ones talking, with the latter three discussing places that Chris and Sarah could be at. The former three were talking in hushed voices, whispering to each other about what they were going to do to Sarah once she returned.

"After all, it's clear that she has feelings for Chris," Haden snickered. "And if Chris returns those feelings, she'll win. We've got to eliminate her."

"Haden and the others are starting to gang up on Sarah," Edward whispered to Trinity and the others in his team. "They think that she's a liability to be dealt with, but we have to protect our strongest asset. I have an idea on where she could be, but if my guess is correct, one of them pushed Sarah over the cliff that we had to jump off of."

"So if she was pushed, then we're doomed, right?" Bartholomew murmured. "What do we do?"

"We find Chris, and if we find Chris, then we'll probably find Sarah," Coda nodded. "If we find them then we'll win. We can suggest to Chef that it's a challenge for the next campfire ceremony."

"Good idea, Coda," Edward nodded. "There's just one little problem with that: Chris is missing."

"We could have Chef run the challenge," Trinity suggested before the Killer Bass all blanched except for Edward.

"As much as I hate to say this, Trinity has the best idea," he said with a sly grin. "And besides, if they were removed from the island by someone of the opposite team, then those team members will be the ones to find them, or in some cases not even bother looking for them."

"Okay, so who volunteers to bring this up to Chef?" Harriet asked, and they all turned to her. "Why me?"

"because, you're the one that we can afford to lose," Edward said calmly. "But, just in case, I'll come with you."

Harriet swallowed as she and Edward approached Chef with their idea. After a long time, and seemingly limitless silence, he agreed. The two were relieved that they hadn't been killed, and the Killer Bass were all relieved that Chef had listened to their idea.

"LISTEN UP!" Chef roared. "I'll be the one supervising your next challenge!"

"Wonder if it requires killing someone," Haden snickered.

"Your challenge will be to find Chris and Sarah," chef commanded, and all campers dropped their plates in shock. "Winners will be rewarded by Chris when they get back! You can split your teams in half, into three at the most! No sabotaging the other teams, this a search and rescue mission! You have ten minutes to gather all the emergency supplies you need from your cabins! Now get moving soldiers!"

Both teams began making a mad scramble for the door, and DeShawn groaned as they reached the boys' side of the Gophers' cabin.

"This is stupid! There's no way that they'll be found!" he snapped, and Justina listened in at the girls' side.

"Why not?" Logan asked, and DeShawn rolled his eyes.

"Because I pushed both of them off of the cliff that Chris made everyone jump off of," DeShawn snapped, and Justina gasped in shock. "They didn't resurface, you dumbass! They're dead!"

Justina raced to Edward's cabin to relay what she'd heard, and the Killer Bass gaped in shock. They immediately began arguing, and Justina began to cry because nobody would believe her. Realizing that they could split up, Edward created a team full of those who believed what Justina said.

Both teams were in two groups, with Haden, Justina, Edward, and Brett being the leaders. The Screaming Gopher's groups were Haden, DeShawn, Logan, and Marshall in the first one, while Izaak, DJ, Delilah, Tyler, and Justina were in the second one. Edward, Trinity, Naruto, and Damon were in the first group for the Killer Bass, with Brett, Jessie, Harriet, and Coda being in the second group for them. Chef took note of these four different teams, and then sent them off to do their challenge.

"Chris?" Sarah asked as she held up his shirt. "Are you sure this is legal? I mean, what if someone finds us?"

"Relax, they don't have a clue," he laughed. "Besides, your clothes are filthy! For heaven's sake, you stink! Take a bath and wash your clothes before getting dressed in some of mine!"

Sarah sighed before obeying. She noticed that as she showered, Chris had his nose buried in something completely different, something that she never would have guessed. It had been in a different pouch of his backpack, one that she hadn't gone through, and that he was trying to whittle something. He wasn't doing a very good job from what she could see, but he was at least trying.

Sarah pulled herself out of the water and put on one of Chris' spare sets of clothes. They were big on her, and very baggy, with the pants having to be held up with some twine. But, she mused, he was right in the fact that she had needed a bath and a change of clothes. Yes, it was weird to wear his clothes, but at the same time his clothes simply reeked of him, a fact that she loved.

She took a deep breath, taking in Chris' scent. It was deep, musky, and it smelled of a combination of the outdoors, cologne, and a strange deep scent that Sarah couldn't identify, a scent that could only have come from Chris' person. It was strange that the scent on his shirt was relaxing her, even though she knew that it shouldn't have been. He was eleven years older than her, for Orochimaru's sake! She shouldn't have been enthralled by him!

And yet she was.

While her thoughts were on Chris, his were on hers. She was young, stubborn, a fighter, had a virtually nonexistent life outside of slavery to her abusive mother, and yet was still naïve, kind, loving, and always ready with a joke, game, or even just to be there as a silent onlooker until you needed her. he realized that even though she was far too young for her age in some aspects, she was far excelled in other areas of maturity. She was a complete idiot when it came to tact, of that he was sure. But at the same time, she was wonderful about thinking deeply, solving problems, and using a kind of common sense that had nearly dropped off the face of the earth.

"Sarah?" he asked, and she was silent. "Sarah?"

He hated to do it, but he turned around to see if she was alright. Her eyes were wide and unseeing, but she was awake. She kept muttering something, but as soon as he stepped in front of her, she snapped out of her reverie. She blinked up at him a couple of times before hugging him tightly.

"What is wrong with you?" he asked shocked. "You shouldn't be hugging me! I'll get in trouble!"

But she didn't care. All she cared about was that he was keeping her from having panic attacks that were caused by this situation being so deathly similar to another one from when she was five, just after the abuse had started and she had been mentally and emotionally scarred for life.

So... is this fluff that some of you had in mind? Don't worry, I'll have them bonding some more over the course of the next few chapters.

Review, please! They're greatly appreciated!
