Illusen had always been a faerie who cared about the people living in her glade. On a daily basis, people would invite her into their homes, ask her to join in on different festivities, and usually come to her with any questions that concerned the well-being of the glade. As of late, she had been feeling off, wanting to be left alone more often than not. She didn't know the root cause of why she had been feeling off, but something was amiss, and she wanted to know the know the reason why. It seemed like the answer was something she should so easily be able to remember, but she just couldn't find it. As she sat in her hut in the sky, something seemed amiss. Dark clouds seemed to be on the horizon, and not just any dark clouds. They seemed abnormal, dark purple in color. It was something she had only seen thousands of years ago. And, it meant trouble was coming quickly. She readied herself, conjuring as much light magic as she could to protect her glade and its surrounding area, allowing the magic to flow into the very earth around her. As she did this, she asked herself, "How could she have gotten free?" She grabbed her faerie orb, holding it, channeling magic to allow its effects to be as powerful as they possibly could. As she was concentrating on the magic flowing from her to protect her glade, she didn't realize that something was amiss within her glade itself.
Down below, the Werelupe King and his werelupes crossed the newly constructed bridge to her glade. They were ready to wreak havoc on the glade and take out the most powerful opponent of the Darkest Faerie. The Werelupe King ordered, "Attack the village. Capture the villagers. Burn the houses. Leave nothing but destruction in your wake. It is time to teach this faerie a lesson she won't forget." So, the Werelupes spread out, doing as they were ordered by their king. All except for one. "Gnarfas, it is time for part two of our plan," the Werelupe King said, gesturing for the lackey to follow. As the werelupes went about wreaking havoc, the Werelupe King made his way to the lift on the opposite end of Illusen's Village. When he got there, he let Gnarfas go up first before following after the lift dropped to the ground. The two made their way to the highest point of the glade, Illusen's hut. Illusen was still in deep concentration, channeling magic as quickly as she could to protect the glade, not realizing that she had company in front of her.
The Werelupe King stomped his way towards Illusen, saying, "Well, well, well. Looks like the little faerie has yet to realize that she has company." The faerie opened her eyes, shocked at the fact she had not realized that unwanted company entered her glade. "And I think it is time I show you boys the way out," she said, channeling her light magic into keeping the two away from herself. She continued to channel, hoping that someone would get help and that it would arrive quickly. "You won't stop us this time. You see, I have a powerful ally on my side this time," the Werelupe King stated. "So wait us out all you want, but you will tire eventually. And your glade will be destroyed." Illusen just grunted, keeping her magic between herself and the two powerful foes in front of her.
After what seemed like hours of channeling magic, Illusen began to tire. She heard noise coming from nearby, which caused her concentration to slip. As it did, the magic faltered, allowing the Werelupe King time to shove her to the ground. A young lupe who looked to be a knight ran up, yelling, "Get away from her." The Werelupe King stood and asked, "Is this the best Meridell has to offer. You're barely a mouthful." The young lupe angrily said, "I said, get away." The Werelupe King grunted before saying, "I don't have time for this. Gnarfas, chew bones." Gnarfas pounced on the young knight, which allowed Illusen the time to shield herself once more. The Werelupe King became invested in the fight as an older knight joined the young knight to help, knocking a now tired Gnarfas to the ground. The older knight said to the young knight, "Come. We must leave quickly before..." The older knight then shouted in pain as the Werelupe King stabbed him in the back. "You've more than most should know never to turn your back on your enemy," the Werelupe King said as the young knight shouted. "Gnarfas, quit playing with your food and kill him," he shouted.
The young knight acted quickly, trying to knock Gnarfas out and get to Illusen, but it was too late. Illusen was unable to concentrate after the actions of the Werelupe King, allowing her magic to drop. He jumped at her, stealing away her necklace and charm that shielded her from dark magic. Illusen felt faint as dark magic flooded her body, causing her to fall to the ground as the Werelupe King made his escape. The young knight finally came to her side as Gnarfas fell to the ground, out cold from his blows. "Been fighting, fighting for so long," Illusen said. "My lady, what happened," the knight asked. "Since she came back, I sensed her power. So dark, so strong. I've never felt anything so strong." The young knight seemed confused and asked, "Who my lady?" "Listen to me. Her hate is so deep. She'll take us all, all the faeries, and send us to a black sleep in which we can never awaken. Only my charm, oh no, no. She's won, she's won, and there is nothing... You must stop her. Putting the faeries to sleep is only the beginning. You must warn King Skarl that she is loose. And she..." Illusen took a deep breath but could not say more as the Darkest Faerie's power overtook her. The power forced her body to say, "This land is mine." She then knocked the young knight from her hut before collapsing, her mind entering a dark place that only the young lupe could save her from.
