TWO CHAPTERS IN ONE DAY! Even though their both short...sorry...
When Aurea woke up once more, it was 8:00 in the morning, and light began to stream through the windows. After slipping out of the bed, she noticed that the room she was standing in was unfamiliar. Her feet scanned the room's floor and she soon realized that Angele must've placed her here after she fell asleep. She carefully slipped out of the covers and walked out of the room, her feet making no sound as they touched the floor. Light sailed into the house as the sun had risen into the sky, no clouds blocking its view of the cozy home. Aurea walked through the hallway, peeking into her friends' rooms to see them still fast asleep. She giggled as she heard Natsu's snores filling the room. The clock showed that the time was around 11:30, and her thoughts drifted to the night before, and the involuntary spell that she had cast upon her friends. She smiled at the memory and walked into the kitchen. Angele sat on a soft chair, a book resting in her soft fingers, the sun causing her black hair to shine gracefully as her deep blue eyes scanned the pages.
"Good morning!" Aurea said cutely, her face peeking out from under the table.
Angele jumped a bit, before looking back at the small girl with a wary smile. "Oh, good morning…" she said, even though it was barely morning anymore.
"Um, I think I put my friends to sleep last night. Well, they already were, but, I think I made them sleep longer." Aurea said apologetically.
Angele let out a small laugh as she closed her book and set it on the table, "Yes, I figured that out around 30 minutes ago. But don't be sorry, I'm sure those six need more sleep. They've been too busy training to care about their own health, that is, until you woke up." she said, getting up and grabbing a plate from the shelves.
"Oh, so they've gotten stronger? How good has Kai gotten? I bet he could kick my butt by now!" Aurea exclaimed as she happily imagined how powerful her friends could have gotten within the past week.
"Well, I'm not sure about that, but he has helped my garden grow a considerable amount." she reasoned. After a few seconds, she placed the plate in front of the young girl. It was now filled with golden eggs and a piece of toast. A glass of milk came soon after. "You must be hungry, am I correct?"
Aurea was about to reply, but her stomach decided to do it for her. It let out a loud growl which caused a fit of giggles to erupt from the light mage's throat, "I guess so! Thank you!" for a few minutes, the duo sat in peace eating and reading. It was strange how unusual the silence was for them, as they were both so used to having two elemental mages bickering every time they made eye contact. Aurea chuckled at the thought, and looked up at the 14 year-old girl in front of her. Her being held evidence of power, but Aurea wasn't sure as her whole magic radar has been fuzzy since the accident. Being the young child she was, she didn't feel like trying to figure it out herself, and just let the words fly out of her mouth.
"Miss Angele, are you a mage too? You seem to know a bit about magic." she asked curiously.
"Sort of. I can do certain spells, and I can use magic as well." she replied, as if she was trying to dodge the question.
"Really!? What kind?" Aurea asked excitedly, jumping up and placing her hands on the table in excitement.
"I…I can't tell you." Angele replied, turning her head away acting shy and secretive.
Aurea was about to ask why, but it soon connected within her mind and her eyes flashed with understanding. "It's because you don't completely trust me completely yet, right? You don't trust my friends either, do you?" she asked, causing Angele's eyes to widen a bit before she closed herself off once more. "I can understand that," Aurea sighed, "You know, you should join a guild."
"What? Why?" the blue-eyed girl asked.
"Because a guild is like a family, and I feel like that's something you want. Besides, you trust the people within your guild with your life, and you'd do anything to help them. In return they always help you, and care for you. They'll never give up on you, and they'll always believe in you, no matter how big the foe." Aurea explained, her eyes slightly clouding over as she lost herself in her own mind. "They're your nakama, your family. If you lose even one of them, it's like you lose a piece of yourself. A guild cares about one another more than themselves; it's…nice." she said, before shaking her head and allowing the life to come back to her multi-colored eyes. "I wonder how Fairy Tail's doing. I hope they're not too worried about us."
"Can you contact them?" Angele asked, her eyes shining with curiosity about this guild.
"I don't know. I can try…. This magic of mine tends to enjoy doing things I didn't know it could without me wanting it to, so let's try!" Aurea said positively.
She closed her eyes and placed her hands out in front of her in a cupping motion. She allowed the magic energy within her to do what it decided was right in this situation, and a ball of light began to form in her hands. Her eyes opened slightly, but she wasn't looking out of them. It was a lot like her normal magic, but soon dark threads swirled down her arms, and placed themselves in the ball. The darkness seemed to swirl in the center of the light, as if it was trying o find its way out and Aurea's right eye seemed to begin filling with energy as well. Her hair began to fly in the air as the magic created a large amount of wind that consumed the room. Angele was about to call out to the girl, but the wind suddenly stopped as the dark magic disappeared and all that was left was the ball of light. Aurea then opened her eyes and beamed at the object resting in her palms.
"It worked!" she exclaimed, as if she didn't realize what had just happened.
Angele searched the girl's eyes for any sense of confusion or fear, but only saw oblivious joy and excitement. She placed her fingers on her chin, her head slightly bowing in thought. What was that? She wondered. She looked back to see Aurea speaking to the ball of light with caring eyes. She must be sending a message to her "family"…Fairy Tail. She'd be lying if she wasn't interested in the idea. She watched as the light rose from Aurea's hands and sailed through the wall. It could be seen flying through the air from the window, and it was soon out of sight, looking for the nakama that the message was for.
"Miss Angele?" Aurea asked, snapping the girl into attention.
"Yes?"
"I don't know why, but I really care about you. You're a mage, right?" the girl turned towards Angele with a small smile on her face. She reached her hand out towards the black-haired girl, "So, when we leave…will you come with us? I'd like you to meet the rest of the family!" she said, her eyes locking with Angele's blue ones.
Angele's eyes were wide, and she had no idea what to think. It was as if her body was moving on its own as her arm slowly moved towards the light mage's hand. Their fingers were about to touch, and words formed themselves in her mouth, but before they could be said, the door to the room flew open with a bang. The two quickly turned around, only to see Natsu standing in the doorway, his vest halfway off of his shoulder and it was obvious that he had just woken up.
"I'm hungry! Where's food!?" he exclaimed, before sniffing around the room like an animal.
Angele and Aurea looked each other with emotionless expressions before bursting out in laughter at the mage. Because of the noise, the others seemed to wake up as well. Lucy stumbled into the room with a small 'what's going on?', and Kai followed close after, clinging onto Lucy's leg with Happy on his shoulders. Once Gray arrived, the fire mage immediately began fighting with him, and only stopped when they were knocked out by a certain scarlet-haired mage. In all of the commotion, Angele grabbed onto Aurea's hand, causing the young girl to look up at her questionably.
"I think I'd like that." she said in a voice that was no softer than a whisper
BACK AT THE GUILD
"Do you think they're okay? They've been gone for over a week!" Wendy exclaimed fearfully, clinging onto Carla tightly.
"Calm down child, I'm sure they're fine." Carla said to her, "Remember who you're talking about."
"Even I'm getting a bit worried about the kids…maybe they got into trouble." Wakaba said.
"No way! Natsu's with them! There's no way they got into trouble! They're probably on their way back right now!" Romeo exclaimed.
Different comments came from people all over the guild. It seemed that everyone was at least a small bit worried about why Team Natsu hadn't returned yet. Of course, talk like this had to turn into an all-out guild fight, and no one noticed the ball of light that sailed through the guild doors. The light placed itself in front of Mirajane who was calmly cleaning dishes behind the counter. She looked at the light in slight wonder and reached her hand out to touch the magic. Once her fingers made contact with the ball, it seemed to explode into light and multiple balls spread around the room, one landing in front of each guild member. Seeing the strange occurrence, everyone stopped fighting and gazed at the lights in wonder.
"Hey guys." a voice said, causing people to gasp in recognition, "I'm not sure if this is going to work, or even get to you, but I'll try anyway…. Um, first of all, good morning! Or afternoon, whenever this gets to you I guess. Sorry for taking so long on this mission, we got a little…held up…and now we're staying at this nice girl's house. We'll be back soon, I'm sure, and maybe you'll even get to meet the girl, her name's Angele. Well, I guess that's it, I really don't know how to work this spell. Um, go and give this message to Fairy Tail!" her voice exclaimed, and the volume seemed to lower as if the recording device had been leaving, "Oh, is that how? Um, I hope you're all doing well! I'll see you later!" her voice exclaimed before the lights faded away.
"See, I told you!" Romeo exclaimed after a few seconds of silence, but even he couldn't hide his relief at the news.
After that, the rest of the day seemed even brighter for the guild, as the confidence in their friends had been given new fuel knowing that someplace, Team Natsu was alive and kicking, on their way back to their family.
I didn't give enough time for reviews this time. Besides, I don't think anyone's out of school. My school has this fall break all week so~
