Okay, so school is starting but I intend to keep frequent updates as I shall continue to inspire myself with plenty of RWBY and other memorable songs and anime series to keep the imagination flowing. Expect a few reveals soon and the development of many other characters. The finale has been formulated and I'm hoping that RWBY coincides with plans.

RWBY: The Darkness Within

Season 2- Chapter 10

Creatures of Habit

Safety is the Greatest Comfort

Safe stood there panting as Ora stood across from him panting as well, they had driven each other to a standstill, she was stronger but he was faster and after a good give and take of attacking and dodging at the beginning they had come to trade blows and right now they were both low on aura and refused to give an inch. Safe rushed forward, as Ora took a leap back and drew back her hand as light charged rapidly in her palm before firing off in his direction. In that split second, Safe used his semblance, the glyphs appeared over his eyes and everything seemed to slow down as he saw the path of the attack, the weaknesses of her guard, and the path he should take. He ducked under the attack, and lit the glyphs that gave him his path through the attack and right to Ora where he spun delivering a powerful kick to the side of her torso directly above the ribcage. She hit the mat hard and he drew back ready for her counter attack, instead she simply sat up and crossed her legs with a smile. "I knew you could do it!" She grinned.

"What!?" He cried as he tried to make sense of it all, why would she give up?

"I knew if I gave you the proper incentive you would rise to the occasion." She replied, "And so given the choice between protecting your secrets or protecting your pride, you chose to gamble it all on one match. Whether you won or lost, you decided to open up to me, and I appreciate that. And so now you won and I'll tell you everything."

"No." Safe said to Ora's surprise, "We'll tell each other. I may have won the physical fight, but you won the mental one, and all you said was if one of us won we'd tell the other." She smiled as he sat across from her, "My life is pretty weird, I can't remember much from my early childhood, all I know is it was just my brother and I. I was a pretty blank slate, and he was the smart one, so he took care of teaching me and protecting me. After a while his fame as a child genius got him a position with a man named Amadeus Cain, and he helped him on a special project to develop the perfect Hunter. I pretty much grew up in the facility and our cabin out in the woods where I learned how to hunt and fend for myself against the wildlife. My brother once Knives went missing, sent me out to find him, but he learned about Knives being at Beacon before I did and got me into Beacon with some fake transcripts. I didn't know that at the time, but he called me recently and told me. That's all there is to know."

"It sounds tough." Ora replied.

"It wasn't so bad, especially with big brother to help me and all." Safe said sadly, "I just wish Knives didn't hate my brother for working with Cain."

She nodded, "Well I guess it's my turn. I grew up in Vacuo actually, and my family was just part of a group of nomads who worshiped a sun deity. It's an ancient practice but they said that Dust contained the light of the God and it was used to beat back the darkness. One day I went out fishing with my friends Dandelion and Ash, and when we came back a man had slaughtered and burned our village. We tried to fight back, but with his sword he blinded me and kidnapped my friends. I wandered from our tribe lands into the desert trying to find my way in the darkness I had been cast into. I wandered for days and finally I collapsed from dehydration, however I was rescued by a traveling group of merchants and priests and they took me in, taught me how to fight, and then along their travels I practiced their meditation and soon grew to see the light of the world. I quickly enrolled at a combat school and after I passed I applied to Beacon and here I am!" She replied with a half-hearted smile.

"That's," Safe started before swallowing his words, "Awful."

"It's no big deal," Ora replied, "It's in the past, and the present is what occupies my time now. So let's handle the future together, partner." She said extending her hand.

He took it with a smile, "Okay, but can we not tell Mason and Lee about the mushy stuff?"

She chuckled, "Agreed."

It is in our Nature to Fear what we Don't Understand

Luxus and the others set Knives' down in his bed and quickly reconvened in the hallway, "What the hell was that!?" Caradin asked, "He seemed like a whole other person."

"I believe that was the other half he had spoken of back in the Emerald Forest," Deverou replied, "However I didn't know he was that serious about the man's instability and violence. The way he fought, he was able to easily use his semblance better than Knives' and read his opponent's moves with ease as he brought them down."

"What are you thinking?" Carlos asked David as he ran the information through his mind.

"I'm thinking that Knives' himself is already strong, but this alternate personality seems incredibly fierce, and without actual information about his talents I'm afraid that if he was able to overpower one of these Sins with ease, when we all struggled against them I believe he will prove a threat much later." David replied as he turned to Luxus, "You may be his partner now, but if he decides to turn on you, will you have the courage to pull that trigger?"

"You're asking me to kill my teammate?" Luxus cried.

"We're asking you to do what you have to if it comes down to it." Pyron said putting himself between David and Luxus and fixing David with a cold look. "Look, just talk it over as a team. We have to discuss a few things ourselves about the events of the night and what the White Fang might be planning in the future." He turned and the team followed him as Newt looked back at Luxus with sadness in her eyes.

He turned to his new leader and their tactician, "What should we do?"

Caradin looked at Deverou, and they shared the same thought, but they knew Luxus' sympathy would be their problem, "If he proves to become a threat we kill him, no hesitation." Caradin said callously.

"You can't be serious!?" Luxus cried as he looked to Deverou for support.

"I'm sorry Luxus, but Knives has proven himself to be unstable and volatile. I take no pleasure in the idea, but if he attacks Lady Weiss or any of you, my obligation as a Tenebrous to protect my allies and my charge will dictate that I end his life. There is no other option."

Caradin looked at him, "My dad raised me to become a soldier, so I can say that when you have someone out of line, or threatening the safety of your men, you deal with the problem. Taking their life shouldn't be your answer, but if they leave you no choice, you pull that trigger and don't think twice. It's our duty." Caradin finished firmly.

Luxus looked at the floor, "You handle it your own way, I refuse to be a part of your solution, I'm going to find my own way."

They left in a huff, not noticing that Knives had left already and gone to the roof and had taken his strongbox with him.

Power is the hardest Addiction to Break

"I'm not doing it!" Knives screamed at his doppelganger.

"You will do it, and you will obey me!" Johann screamed extending his hand as Knives felt a sharp pain throughout his whole body, "I'm in control! Now do as I command!"

Knives looked down at the suitcase and popped the tabs, the Dust in various form in tiny bottles with a few smaller crystals as well. He drew out the syringe and grabbed the first vial of Fire Dust, and drew out the full amount of Dust and positioned it above his heart as he plunged it in and felt the severe discomfort of steel in his chest before hesitantly pushing down on the end of the syringe releasing the powder into his bloodstream. His breathing turned into a sharp gasp followed by wheezing as the Dust burned it's way through his veins reacting with his aura and becoming a part of him. He fell to his hands and knees and yanked the needle out of his heart hacking as he tried not to vomit. He looked up as Johann looked down on him, "Again." He grabbed another vial and injected it, feeling the sensation of his blood chilling with ice, believing he was going to die. "Again." He felt electricity surge in his veins as he convulsed from the pain of the next brand of Dust, "Again!" Johann yelled as one after the other he injected the Dust into his bloodstream and felt the pain of a thousand lifetimes as the aura activated the volatile substance in his veins.

He continued until all the vials were empty and he lay there in a cold sweat and full of everlasting pain, "Get up." Johann declared, as his body worked against him and rose anyway. "You were pathetic against the Sins, you and your team, but no more. You will become stronger so that I may easily defeat them in your pathetic, frail body. It will become a strong, durable body capable of handling pain and dealing out plenty of it as well." Johann said as he paced back and forth, "So now you will train harder than you have been these past few months, and I don't just mean your physical strength, but your aura and Dust powers too. We will become legend, and all will know and fear us soon enough." He finished with a wicked smile.

Well I've got that and I've watched the Secrets of Remnant: Dust, and I will work on incorporating these new reveals into my story and for the future as well. Also, DUST INFUSION IS CANON!
