I'm adding a new idea into my story thanks to my inspiration. He introduced me to the game/anime Idolmaster and I have been in love with it since. I defiantly love Makoto and Hibiki and think they are the best two that fit Leo, Chihaya's seriousness does too but Makoto is awesome at fighting/sports the typical tomboy Leo but Hibiki is how I imagine her to look, with her long flowing hair :) Look them up if you have no clue what I'm on about. Eeek so many favs, Makoto, Hibiki, Miki, Chihaya and not forgetting Azusa! Oh and Takane..ahh just all of them! *fan girling*

Donatello yawned and opened his eyes, hearing his alarm clock going off. He smiled and turned it off, knowing it was time to get up for school.

He moved around in bed and expected to feel the warmth of his girlfriend sleeping next to him or at least hear a groan as she realized she had to get ready for the ''hell hole'' as she put it but was surprised to see that Leonardo was not in bed.

The purple wearing teenager frowned and got out of bed, looking around the room for his girlfriend but couldn't see her and the onsuit bathroom door was wide open so she wasn't in there.

"Leo?" he called as he headed out of the room, finding Master Splinter and Casey sitting in the living area.

"Has anyone seen Leo?"

"Up on the roof with Ape, April's doing her hair while Leo meditates.." Casey said with a shrug "It's a girl thing, April does Leo's hair any chance she gets...loves it...but then, how long it is I'm not surprised"

Donny gave a small smile "It's beautiful..should see it when it's down..goes to just below her knees..."

"Hope she's feeling better today..didn't get off to a good start at school yesterday..some girls started trying to pick on her already.."

"How'd she manage?" Casey asked curious.

"Well..she.." Donny started before looking at their father and changing what he was going to say, not wanting to get his girlfriend into trouble "She managed"

He looked up hearing voices heading from the rooftop stair case and smiled when he saw April and Leo.

Leo was all dressed ready for school but this time April had dressed her, rather than a pair of scruffy jeans and a hoodie she was wearing a simple blue shirt and a pair of white crop trousers, with a matching ribbon tying her hair up.

"Now that's different" Raph commented as he came out of his shared bedroom, looking at his sister.

Leo blinked and looked down at her outfit before shrugging "I guess..." she muttered softly, feeling April's hands on her shoulders.

"A simple master piece if I do say so myself.." she said with a smile, earning a blush from Leo "Simple outfit yet she looks absolutely stunning"

"April.." Leo said trying to hide her blush earning a laugh from the others.

"April's right Leo...you look beautiful" Don said, pulling his embarrassed girlfriend into his arms.

"W-we'll be late for hell..I mean school" she said with a small smile.

It was the first full day at Queen's high school, no going home early and no being shown around by the principle.

"I'd rather be in a battle with fifty thousand elite foot ninja, on my own and without my katanas right now" Leo said as they headed into the busy school.

"Wow really?" Mikey asked looking at his sister "Isn't that a bit extreme?"

Leo shook her head "Nope..." she said as they started toward their lockers, hearing a few mutters from the students as they walked by.

"That can't be the same girl..."

"It is..she's holding hands with that Donny guy..."

"Donny?"

"Yeah, total math and science wizz..he should be teaching it..."

"Wow...well I'm in gym with Lea and she is already on the cheerleaders hit list"

"Ooh ouch, and on her first day"

Leo rolled her eyes "Nice to know we're centre of gossip..."

"What's the matter dear?" Brittany asked as she stood infront of the group "Not use to this popularity? But then, being a street walker..you should be use to people whispering about you"

Raph growled "Street walker?! Why I outta...That's my sis you're talking about!"

Brittany grinned "Oh I'm sorry...would you like me to be nice and polite..and call her a lady of the night instead?"

"Brittany, if it wasn't for the fact I don't know where you've been, I would give you a smack around your smug little face...but I might get an infection or something..." Leo said with a sweet smile before pushing past the cheerleader, the others following close behind her.

Mikey waited until they were out of Brittany's sight before bursting into laughter "Leo...I never thought you had these witty comebacks in you!"

Raph grinned "Got to admit, I agree with Mike...you didn't seem to be the type"

Leo smiled and shrugged "They just come to me, I've just not had any fights previously that were like these, I can't exactly take my Katanas to highschool..which is tempting at times"

"Can you imagine the look on the cheerleaders faces" Mikey laughed "They'd be begging for mercy before you've even done anything"

"Why would I stain my katanas with the likes of them?" Leo asked as they reached their lockers, "I mean come on Mikey, I am honored to weild such beautiful weapons and even my enemies I have a great respect for...them...I pity.."

Don gave a small smile and shook his head "Come on...let's get to class...the bell's about to ring"

"Again..I'm in a different lesson to you guys..." Leo said with a sigh "I've got music...don't know why because I have zero talent"

"Just try it..you've never really tried music before"

"Alright, alright...I'll see you soon" she said giving Donny a kiss on the cheek.

Leo sighed as she sat in the canteen, waiting for her family to join her. She was playing with a piece of paper she had in her hands, rereading it over and over.

Mikey, Raph and Donny soon entered the large room, looking through the crowds before spotting a rather depressed looking leader sitting by herself in the far corner of the room.

"Yo sis!" Mikey said running over "What's up? What's that in your hand?"

"Is that a detention slip?" Donny asked, noticing the paper once Mikey had pointed it out "what did you get that for?"

Leo sighed and folded the paper up, putting it in her pocket "For not joining in with the lesson"

"We were meant to be singing but I didn't"

Raph grinned "Why not sis, shy of singing infront of people?"

Leo gave a shrug "I've never done it so I don't know...I didn't join in because...well...I don't know any songs..."

"What? Really?" Michelangelo asked taking a seat.

"Really..all my music is traditional non vocal music..." she said sadly "Sensei is going to kill me..."

"Gotta say sis..that's pretty sad.." Raph said with a frown "You seriously know no songs?"

"Unless christmas carols count...nope none..."She said sadly "you guys seem to forget, apart from Donny, watching movies with the family and the odd trips out to watch hockey or something like that, I had no life!"

"It was all leadership lessons, strategy training, mental training, meditation, ancient ceremonies, traditions, more training..."

"Now I have a chance to have a life...and I've been trained as a ninja so well..all I want to do is disappear into the shadows and go back home.."

"Look...just talk to your teacher about it, I'm sure they'll understand" Donatello said putting his hand on Leo's shoulder.

"I tried to explain it to her...but she just said I was making up excuses and that I didn't get any special privileges because I'd never been to school before.."

"She also said I'd never make anything of myself in this world..." the girl in blue muttered softly "A-and I think she's right...I don't know how to do anything expect war...I was raised a warrior...but with no war to fight...I'm obsolete..."

"Don't you dare say that" Donny said moving down to Leo's level.

"But it's true Don and you know it..I'm not like you, Mikey or Raph...I'm not a genius like you, I can't work on cars and bikes like Raph and I'm not creative and carefree like Mikey"

"Well maybe if you just tried a little harder instead of putting yourself down and hiding behind this rebellious attitude" Don suggested sharply, making Raph and Mikey flinch.

Leo looked at her boyfriend with hurt eyes, she had been trying, she had been trying her hardest to fit in and control herself. This attitude had developed when she couldn't control her emotions, trying to keep people at bay so she wouldn't hurt them.

"That's what you think?" she asked him as she got to her feet and grabbed her school bag.

"Well...don't let my attitude worry you anymore, as clearly I'm not trying hard enough to fit in according to you.." Leonardo snapped before turning to leave, pushing through the crowds of students.

Donny got to his feet to go after her "I didn't mean that"

"Just let her go Don..." Raph said holding the purple wearing student back "she just needs some time...she's right...she hasn't been trained for this..."

April was working hard at Second Time Around, catagorising the stock and repricing items when the shops phone started to ring.

"Good afternoon, Second Time Around, April O'Neil speaking" she answered politely as she carried on with her work.

"Good afternoon Miss O'Neil, I'm sorry to bother you but I am calling on regards to your daughter Lea O'Neil"

April blinked "Lea? What's wrong? Has anything happened?"

The principle sighed "I'm afraid she has run out of school, I have the police looking for her but I doubt they'll find her with how well she knows the streets"

"I am quite concerned with Lea. The other students have been settling in quite well but she seems to isolate herself with this rebellious attitude...Although I can tell that she had been trying very hard"

"Could there be maybe problems at home? with her boyfriend?"

"No" April replied softly "There's noting like that...she's, well she had to grow up faster than the others and had to protect them, so now she's finding it hard not to be needed as much and to have her own chances...she doesn't know how to cope with this"

"You'll find if you give her the right support she will be one of the brightest, hardest working and well behaved students in your school"

"She greatly respects authority and would never put a step wrong unless she feel it's necessary"

"As for her school absence, she just getting use to things and this is what she does...doesn't know any better. Maybe sort her out a time out card?" April suggested "I promise she won't abuse it"

"But sometimes she just needs to get her head around things alone"

"Thank you Miss O'Neil, you have been very helpful" The principle said softly.

"Anytime" She said as she hung up, sighing and closing the shop for the day and went to report what had happened to Splinter "I hope he isn't too hard on her"

"It's not easy being female...and it's worse for Leo.."

Leo sat on the top of the water tower, looking over the city as the sun started to set. She was mindlessly playing with her long pony tail.

"Maybe I should start heading home.." she muttered to herself as she ran her fingers through the ends of her hair "the others will probably be worried"

"Guess I should be setting an example and just put up with school...keep my head down and let others walk all over me...I mean why not? You have all your life, why should this be any different? just because this time it isn't your family trying to walk all over you..."

"Talking to yourself? You know what they say about that right?" said a voice from behind her, making Leo jump.

She looked around and saw Bruce, the boy from the mall, 'He shouldn't have been able to sneak up on me...am I really that out of focus that this boy could sneak up on me?'

"What do you want?"

"Just to lend a should for you to cry on...maybe offer a hug when you need it.." he said putting his hands up defensively "listen...we got off on the wrong foot in the mall...I was being a total jerk"

"Trying to look good infront of my friend.."

"Can you really call them friends if that's how you have to act infront of them to be accepted?" Leo urged, getting up from her position "How'd you get up here anyway?"

"Same way as you, up the fire escape...my apartment is just across the street from here...I saw you through the window and thought you looked cold..."

"Didn't see you in class this afternoon, bailed already? was a shame, was going to ask you to be my lab partner..."

"You won't want me as a lab partner...my emotions aren't the only things about me that blow up...anything scientific or technical..."

"Ooh ouch, one of those people huh? yikes...complete opposite of that boyfriend of yours...if he still is your boyfriend.."

Leo shot the guy a glare "What are you talking about?! of course he is"

"Hey, hey don't kill me with your glare...I only saw the little spat earlier today that's all..and he was awfully chummy with Brittany this afternoon in the computer lab"

Leo shook her head "I have to go...April...Mom will be worried about me..." she said as she jumped down off the water tower and started running across the roof tops.

Bruce watched the black haired beauty run off into the evening and smiled to himself "The seed of doubt...has been planted"
