Sun and Moon (a 'Pokemon X/Y' fic)
Disc.: I will never ever own a great series like this one, so for now I'll to settle on writing fics like this one.
A/N: Recently, I've been wrapped up in Alpha Sapphire and my Powersave device so I apologize for the massive delay in getting this chapter out for you guys to read. However, I'm taking a break from that and writing this out for you all to enjoy…please don't be mad for the delay.
Ch.11- Dangers
Anna Ketchum could say a lot of things about herself…she has a twin brother, her father is the leader of a criminal organization, her mother was sad because her father never spent time with her, but one thing she never would say without worry was that she was an aura user like her uncle Riley. The brunette girl was currently training deep within the caves of Iron Island, the whole island itself belonging to her uncle and he had taken her here to use aura like he had done years ago.
Standing next to her was a Riolu, the small blue and black Pokemon concentrating a cluster of aura into its' hands but losing focus when they both heard footsteps near the entrance to the room; Riley had walked into the room of the cave with his Lucario walking next to him, both of them stopping only about 10 feet away from Anna and Riolu.
"Anna…Riolu…you can stop for today, the sun's going down and it wouldn't do you any good to train all day and all night without rest."
The brunette girl removed the blindfold from her face and then the one from her partner's face, Anna's hazel-gold eyes lighting up with happiness at seeing her uncle standing there smiling.
"Uncle Riley! How was your trip today? Did you get to see Byron?"
"Of course, and I told him of your progress with your Riolu…he said he's proud of you, and also to give you this." The raven haired aura user said as he gave his niece a basket, the girl confused…but when she opened it, staring back at her was a baby Shieldon; the little Steel Pokemon chirped happily at seeing someone so friendly looking at it, Anna hugging Shieldon happily, which caused it to chirp happily like it had before.
"Oh, I love it! Thank you so much, uncle Riley…I'll thank Byron when I see him."
"Which will be either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow…but for now, let's go to Sandgem Town and have dinner."
The brunette girl nodded and recalled Riolu into its' Pokeball, Shieldon also being called into its' own Pokeball and secured at Anna's hips as she followed her uncle out of the cave. When they arrived at Sandgem Town, both Trainers made their way into a diner called 'Pearlescence' and sat at a booth near a window so that Anna could watch the sunset.
After they ordered their food, Riley got a phone call so he told Anna that he'd be back in about 10 to 20 minutes as he took it outside…surprised that it was his sister calling, but happy regardless as he answered the call.
"Delia, how are you?"
"Riley…I'm alright. Giovanni stopped by today, and we talked about your nephew."
"You mean Ash? Did something happen to him? Is he safe?!"
"Calm down, Riley…he's fine, but Giovanni said that he wasn't acting like his usual self; he said that Ash was joining up with a criminal organization called Team Flare, and I'm worried that he might do something terrible to Pokemon with them…"
Riley could hear his sister crying over the phone, his heart breaking at what he was hearing…obviously something was wrong with his nephew, and he was gonna find out no matter what it took.
"Delia, please stop crying…I promise that I'll look into this; starting tomorrow, Anna and I will go to the Region that my nephew is exploring and find out what's wrong with him."
"Thank you so much, Riley…Ash in the Kalos Region, so you might want to do some research before you both go there."
"Alright, I will…for now, though, please stay calm and know that I'll help my wayward nephew out of this problem he's in. I've gotta go, Anna's probably worried about me so I'll talk to you tomorrow. I love you, Delia."
"I love you too, Riley…good night."
After saying goodbye to each other, the line went quiet and the raven haired aura user headed back to the table him and his niece were occupying; the things he'd been told were disturbing, to say the least…but he would help his nephew no matter what, and as they both ate in silence, Anna noticed her uncle was preoccupied with something.
Deciding to ask him about it later, the brunette girl just kept eating her Aspear berry salad with Pecha berry juice and a Tamato berry vinaigrette. When both aura users were finished with their dinner, Riley paid the tab and they both headed home to get some sleep.
(Next morning)
Anna was currently packing her bag, the brunette aura user thinking that she'd be going back to Iron Island today after eating breakfast with her uncle and their Pokemon…Anna joining her uncle Riley at the table, his Lucario sitting on the floor and eating his platter of berries and sugar cubes. The brunette girl let her two Pokemon out and they ate their breakfast along with their good hearted masters, Anna sitting at the table across from her uncle.
"So…you seemed a little, uh…off yesterday, uncle Riley. Care to explain why?"
"(sighs) I got a call from your mother…she said that something's wrong with your brother."
"Ash? What's wrong with him?! Is he ok?!"
"Relax, Anna…he's not physically hurt, he just…joined up with a criminal organization called Team Flare. They're based in Kalos, and your father was the one who first brought it to our attention; so, today we're going to Kalos to try and find out what happened to make Ash want to aid criminals."
"We're leaving Sinnoh?"
"Yes…we'll be heading to Kalos in about 2 hours, so pack for at least a couple months because I have no idea how long we'll actually stay there."
"Ok, uncle…I just hope my brother hasn't been influenced by anyone to help out those criminals."
The two Trainers finished their breakfast and recalled their Pokemon before leaving to pack, silence falling over the whole house as they finished packing and then left the house with at least 50 minutes before their flight had to leave. Riley got into his car and started it up, Anna sitting on the passenger side as they both made their way to the Sinnoh Airport.
(3 hours later)
The plane touched ground on the paved road that was made hot to the touch by the sun sitting high in the endless blue over Kalos, Anna stepping out into the bright golden rays and basking in their warmth…Riley joining her a few minutes later as they both got on a monorail that took them to Lumiose City, where they'd be staying for the next couple months.
After arriving at the hotel, Riley checked them both into a room while the brunette aura user was exploring the lobby…in all her 15 years, she'd never seen anything as fancy as what she was seeing right now…the room bathed in soft yellow-gold light from the chandelier hanging on the ceiling, many people and Pokemon also in the lobby just minding their own business. Among them was a man with teal hair and a younger man with chestnut brown hair a few shades lighter than her own, Anna recognizing the teal haired man as Wallace from Sootopolis City; the brunette with him, though, Anna did not seem to know as she watched them interact almost like they knew each other personally.
"Anna? What are you doing?" Riley said as he noticed his niece looking over at some other hotel guests.
"Those two men over there (points to Wallace and Luca)…I know the teal haired one is Wallace, but who's the other boy with him?"
"Hmm…I'm not sure either; perhaps he's a student of his?"
"Maybe…should we go over and talk to them, uncle Riley?"
"No, let them be…they look like they're having a great time together, and who are we to interrupt that?"
"I guess you're right…let's go to our room, I'm really tired from the flight and wanna take a nap."
Riley nodded as him and his niece left the lobby to go to their shared hotel room, neither of them noticing what was happening.
Luca and Wallace had just gotten done with breakfast, the two lovers wondering what Ash and his friends were up to as the teal haired Gym Leader fished around in his white jacket pocket for the blue velvet box sitting inside…his hand found it and he grabbed it as he looked at the one he loved with all his heart, the brunette Hoenn Champion's slate grey eyes registering confusion at his lover's actions.
"Wallace, what are you up to now?"
"Oh, nothing much I promise…Luca Arclight, have I told you just how much I love you?"
"Of course you have, Wallace…you tell me every day. Why ask me something silly like that?"
"Because, I have another question to ask you…"the teal haired Gym Leader said as he got down on one knee and pulled out the blue velvet box from his jacket pocket, the brunette Hoenn Champion gasping softly as he saw what was sitting in the box when his lover opened it.
"Luca Brendan Arclight, will you do me the greatest honor on this good green Earth…and marry me?"
The ring itself that Luca was being presented was the most beautiful he'd ever seen in his life…the band was pure silver with rose gold and platinum vines intricately wrapping around the silver metal and stopping at the middle, said vines creating an opening that housed a blue Labradorite cut into the shape of a pearl…the inside looked as if it held water that was shimmering and glistening, making the stone radiate at least seven different shades of blue in the bright hotel chandelier light.
Luca was speechless, he had lost his voice as tears fell from his eyes but had regained it when Wallace smiled up at him reassuringly that this was indeed real and not some kind of twisted illusion or nightmare as he finally answered his lover's question.
"Yes, Wallace…a thousand times yes!" the brunette Hoenn Champion said ecstatically as Wallace slid the ring onto his finger and kissed him passionately, everyone in the lobby applauding the newly engaged couple…the only thing left for them was to set the actual wedding date.
But that wouldn't happen until after their vacation was over.
(with Diana and Hope)
The sisters had heard the deafening roar that could only belong to one Pokemon, Diana shuddering in fear as she knew what this meant…Yveltal was awake, and ready to reclaim his powers of destruction and death. Hope could feel her sister's distress, the rings on her body vibrating with the fear she was feeling at the moment but she decided to hide it so her sister wouldn't feel even more ill at ease than she already was.
"Diana…we need to find Ash's friends and tell them what's happened. They won't like hearing it, but they deserve to know either way…can you pinpoint their location?"
"Sure, Hope…just give me a minute…found them; they're near Anistar City, traveling down Route 15."
"Great, then let's beat them to it!" Hope said as she threw one of her rings up and the sisters used it to teleport to where Route 15 lay, the two Pokemon seeing Clemont and Bonnie traveling alone…both siblings looking really sad and upset.
"Hope, are those Ash's friends?"
"Yup, I can sense their connection to him through their friendship…let's catch them before they reach Anistar City."
Diana nodded at Hope and watched as she threw up a barrier that the blonde siblings didn't notice until they ran right into it. The sisters nodded and began making their way over to Clemont and Bonnie, Hope and Diana praying to Arceus that they'd believe them when they told them of what happened to their raven haired friend.
(with Bonnie and Clemont)
Clemont wasn't having a good day, in fact he was having the worst day of his life; his lover had disappeared without telling him, and he'd been searching for him for almost 2 days with his sister's help…but neither of them had found him. They were heading to Anistar City, the air getting colder as they kept walking down Route 15. As they got to the bridge that would let them into the coldened city, something stopped them but they couldn't see any physical obstacles blocking their path.
"Clemont, why can't we go down the bridge?"
"I don't know, Bonnie…let me use my Lumiose Specs to see if I can't find out what's blocking our path." The blonde Gym Leader said as he pulled out a pair of glasses, Clemont slipping them over his eyes and activating them…the blonde Gym Leader gasping as he saw what had stopped them.
"What's wrong, brother? Did you find out what's wrong?"
"Hmm…it would seem that we're being blocked off by a psychic barrier, but I have no idea who or what's making it."
Before the siblings could try to get past it, they were caught in a smaller barrier made up of golden rings…Clemont looking down as they were lifted up into the air to find two Legendary Pokemon looking up at them from outside the barrier.
"Diancie…and Hoopa? What are they both doing here?!"
"Please, you must listen to us…we have alarming news concerning your friend Ash!" Diana said, Clemont immediately getting even more worried since his lover had turned up missing barely even 2 days ago as he started pounding on the barrier with his hands.
"Wait, you know where he is?! Where's my Ash? Tell me right now!"
The sisters could tell that the raven haired Trainer was important to the blonde male so they just started bringing them along behind them, the barrier never giving out the whole time they were traveling back down the road away from Anistar City.
Hope watched them both very carefully, Clemont trying his hardest to get the barrier down but it wouldn't give no matter how much he whacked on it with his fists…eventually, the blonde Gym Leader gave up and felt like he would never find his precious lover again. Bonnie knew how much her brother loved their friend so she hugged him to try and make him forget about the pain he was feeling right now.
Diana could sense that the blonde male had some sort of romantic relationship with Ash, if his earlier behavior was anything to go by…the Rock and Fairy Pokemon sighed as she began telling them what happened.
"Look, we wouldn't be taking you away from Anistar if we could discuss this openly…but we can't, especially since it concerns Ash. We found out that he was aiding Team Flare, and they're building some kind of ultimate weapon."
"Ok…but why would Ash help those criminals? That's not like him at all."
Hope decided to answer Clemont's question, though it may have made the emotional situation for the blonde Gym Leader a whole lot worse.
"We suspect that he may have been possessed by Yveltal, and that he's using your boyfriend's body as a temporary solution…so that he can resurrect himself and get his body back."

T.B.C.- Wow, that was a hell of a long chapter to write…but totally worth it! I threw in some WallacexLuca there for a short moment, just so it wouldn't seem like I've forgotten them. Up next…well, you'll just have to wait for that (rubs hands together and chuckles evilly).
