Sun and Moon (a 'Pokemon X/Y' fic)
Disc.: I will never ever own a great series like this one, so for now I'll to settle on writing fics like this one.
A/N: I'm so relieved that people still like this story, and I'm also glad to know that people still want me to keep writing the chapters…so, for you, I will continue to pump out chapters of this story. For now, enjoy this chapter.
Ch.13- Finding Hope Anew
The first thing that greeted Clemont when he woke up was the emptiness of the bed he'd been hoping to share with Ash, and it was then that he remembered everything that'd happened over the last couple months…a wave of sadness falling over him and causing the blonde Gym Leader to start crying quietly, tears streaming down his face as he felt his heart constrict painfully from loneliness and misery.
After making sure that his sister was still asleep, the blonde Gym Leader slipped into the bathroom and started getting ready for the rest of his day…his mind half wishing that Serena was still with them to offer up some kind consolance for their situation; but the blonde Trainer had said that as long as he was dating Ash, then she could never travel with them…it would be too painful to see the one she loved dating someone else.
After 45 minutes in the shower, most of which was spent moping and crying, Clemont finally stepped out and dried himself off. He then donned his usual blue-grey jumpsuit and found that his sister was still sleeping away the morning, Dedenne snoozing peacefully next to her on the bed. The blonde Gym Leader would've let her sleep a little more, but it was getting close to 9:00 in the morning…and they needed to get to Geosenge Town before it was too late to save their raven haired friend, so Clemont started gently shaking Bonnie's shoulder while speaking softly to her.
"Bonnie…time to get up, little sister. We have to get going, and we can't until you wake up."
The blonde Gym Leader kept shaking his sister gently, but soon enough Dedenne woke up and started nuzzling her face…which seemed to do the trick, because she was giggling and moving her hand up to rub her slightly tingly cheek.
"(yawns) Dedenne, stop that…it tickles; oh, good morning, big brother…did you sleep good?"
"Yeah, I slept alright…anyway, we need to get something to eat before we head to Geosenge Town."
"Ok…aren't Riley and Anna gonna give us a lift there?"
"Yeah, they are. They're probably waiting on us, so let's get going."
The blonde siblings grabbed their bags and clothes before heading out of the room, Bonnie choosing to wear a white sun dress that stopped at her knees with a purple ribbon tied around her stomach loosely. She also slipped on a pair of white dress shoes that had a small lavender flower on the clasp that fastened onto the other side of the shoes.
When they both got down there, Riley and Anna were already having breakfast but the ravenette Trainer motioned for them to join her and the raven haired man.
"So, did both of you get plenty of sleep?" the raven haired man asked, his facial expression showing genuine concern for the ones his nephew was traveling with.
"Yeah, we slept alright…we just miss Ash a whole lot. He's our friend, and we're worried about him." Bonnie said almost forlornly, Dedenne nuzzling her hand in his own effort to make her feel better.
The rest of the morning was spent in silence, all four Trainers eating quietly along with their Pokemon. Lucario could feel the depressed auras filling up the area they were sitting in and let out a sigh, Shieldon looking at his friend before looking back at Lucario and chirping sadly.
"[Lucario, what's wrong with our masters and friends? They seem really sad.]"
"[They are sad, Shieldon. Someone very precious to them has been taken away, and they're miserable without him around. Which is why we're going to a place called Geosenge Town to get their precious friend back.]"
Before the conversation could go any further between the two Pokemon, Clemont let out a sound that was torn between a gasp and a tearful sob.
"Have you guys seen Hope and Diana anywhere? I only just now noticed they're not here."
(Elsewhere with Hope and Diana)
The two sisters felt bad about leaving Clemont and the others behind, but they had something important to do…something that could very well get them in over their heads as they found themselves inside a familiar location in the Hoenn Region.
The two sisters were standing inside Fabled Cave, Diana praying that she would listen to them long enough to explain why they were in her cave.
"*Munja? Are you here? It's Diana and Hope, we have some alarming information for you…if you're here, Munja, please give us a sign." Diana said, hoping to get her attention but with no luck at all.
As the sisters kept moving around the cave, the air became electrified with crackling bursts of lightning energy…the very air itself became replaced with electricity, so much so that it was nearly impossible for a human to breathe in the heavy oxygen swirling around the cave. Hope and her sister were having trouble breathing as it was, but they somehow managed not to pass out as rumbling shook the ground beneath them…a loud roar filling the cave and echoing off the walls as a huge black Dragon Pokemon stood before them, her red eyes narrowed in annoyance at being disturbed from her slumber.
"Yes? What do you want, Hope and Diana? I was taking a nap when your shouting woke me up…so, what could you possibly want from me?"
"Munja, please listen to us…you remember Ash Ketchum, don't you?"
"Hmm…you mean the child who came to Unova and had his Pikachu get struck by my lightning? Yes, I remember him…did something happen to him?"
"Yeah, ya could say that Munja…he's been possessed by Yedidyah, and Diana thought we should come to you for help." Hope said, the black Dragon Pokemon allowing worry to slip into her eyes.
"He's been possessed? That is very alarming…I'd been hoping to apologize to him for what I'd done, but I was so angry at *Págo̱ma for killing my best friend that I took my anger out on him. I never meant to hurt him, he was just an innocent bystander that got caught up in my personal problems…I will help him, so that I can at least apologize to him for all the trouble I caused him in Unova."
The two sisters could sense that she was truly regretful of her actions committed in a blind rage, so Hope threw one of her rings up and transported them all to the Kalos Region.
(Geosenge Town)
Ash was currently overseeing the Flare grunts that were attaching Yveltal's cocoon-esque body to a second machine that'd been built next to the one housing Xerneas, both the white tree and black cocoon pulsing brightly with energy that was being given and taken…the white tree shuddering as the life giving power was transferred to the ultimate weapon, and the black cocoon taking the power from the many Pokemon graves situated outside the base.
At the edge of Geosenge Town, Riley, Anna, Clemont, and Bonnie had arrived in the raven haired man's jeep…all of them surprised to find Team Flare grunts standing guard at the entrance to the town, their faces holding scowls and glares aimed at them.
Riley shot his own glare at them before releasing Lucario to do battle, all of the Flare grunts getting the message and releasing their own Pokemon…which were Houndoom and Mightyena, all of them growling and snapping angrily at them.
"Lucario, stand firm…use Aura Sphere!"
The Steel and Fighting Pokemon nodded before gathering energy into his palms and shooting it at a couple Houndoom, the remaining Pokemon using combinations of Foul Play and Beat Up to wear him down. Before Lucario could be taken down for the count, a blast of water came flying at a couple Houndoom and knocked them out.
"Looks like you guys could use some help. Priscilla, use Hydro Pump again!"
"Don't forget me, Wallace…Prilivnyy, use Ancient Power on Mightyena."
Both Water Pokemon nodded before unleashing all their power on the Flare grunts, Riley and the others grateful that Luca and Wallace had shown up to help them.
"We'll help you guys get into the Team Flare base, so let's hurry...we don't have much time before the ultimate weapon is revived." The brunette Hoenn Champion said as Wallace grabbed his hand and they all headed into the base to stop Team Flare.
(Lysandre Labs, Level B2)
The halls were a very dark grey stone and metal, a set of electrified bars brimming with energy housing a man who was easily 7 to 8 feet tall sighing miserably…he wore a dark brown jacket and dark grey-blue jeans with an orange hat on his head. Covering his hands were brick red fingerless gloves, a dark moss green shirt beneath his jacket and brown flats on his feet. His hair was long and bone white, sadness and depression in his eyes as he looked out at the wall in front of him.
He thought he would be here forever, when the energy shorted out and the bars were now just little more than metal sticks. When the man touched them, he felt no pain and ripped them apart with his hands…his resolve renewed as he set out to escape the lab and find the one he was searching for, his best friend whom he'd left behind nearly 3,000 years ago.
For AZ, this was his last mission…and he wouldn't stop until his best friend was found and hopefully accepted his apology.

T.B.C.- I wanna apologize to all those who were waiting for this chapter, but I was stuck with my family celebrating Memorial Day yesterday and I didn't get to finish it until today. Anyway, time for more translations:

* Págo̱ma- Greek for 'Freezing'.
Hope that helps, and as for the identity of Zekrom's dead best friend…I'll reveal that at a later time. For now, though, please read and review.
