Sun and Moon (a 'Pokemon X/Y' fic)

Disc.: I will never ever own a great series like this one, so for now I'll to settle on writing fics like this one.

A/N: First of all, I wanna apologize to those who have been waiting for a new chapter…I was feeling physically exhausted and got sick so I was in no condition to write this chapter, but now I'm feeling well enough to attempt the chapter you guys have been waiting for. As for how Luca and Wallace knew about the ultimate weapon last chapter, the two of them went to a library to learn more about the Kalos Region and they found a book detailing the creation and function of the ultimate weapon that you encounter in X/Y. now then, with that out of the way, here's what you guys have been waiting for.

Ch.14- Death Unleashed

Ash was standing in the room containing both the white tree and black cocoon, Yedidyah whispering in his mind that it was time to begin the process of placing his soul back into his original body…the dark power that had been controlling the raven haired Trainer growing more influential as he walked closer to the pod that would keep him in a comatose state while the transference of the dark soul was underway.

Before Ash climbed into the pod, he released his current Pokemon party and told them to stand guard until the process was completed. The second the raven haired Trainer settled into the pod, the wires inside attached themselves to his body and the door closed. Ash's eyes drooped down and soon he was asleep and feeling no pain, his mind wrapping around the fact that soon Yveltal would have his body back.

On the outside of the underground lab, the ground beneath Geosenge Town started rumbling and shaking violently as the ultimate weapon began coming up out of the ground…the device looking like a giant flower as it opened up and revealed that it was ready to begin its' function and wipe out all life on Earth.

Wallace and his lover nodded at Riley and his friends, the two lovers staying behind to keep the Flare grunts distracted while the other went into the base and put a stop to the ultimate weapon before it could be used.

(With Riley, Clemont, Anna, and Bonnie)

Thanks to the help of Wallace and Luca, they were able to make it inside the base and found themselves looking at Lysandre…his back turned to them as he began speaking.

"The ultimate weapon's flower has finally bloomed above the soil. Don't you find its' beauty captivating? As we speak, it has begun drawing its' power from the legendary Pokemon and supplying it to the other legend that sleeps beside it. Soon, the world will be cleansed by Yedidyah's power, and only those who are worthy shall be spared the fate of death."

Lysandre sighed before turning to face the group that'd come to stop him, a pair of tribal 'Y's covering his red-orange orbs…they looked like tattoos, but Riley and the others disregarded how strange that looked in favor of trying to stop him for good.

"We won't let you use the weapon to kill everyone, Lysandre!" Anna shouted at the redhead, Riley nodding at her and glaring at Lysandre.

"My niece is right…if you use this weapon, won't that mean you'll be taking the lives of all the Pokemon as well? Don't you care for them at all?"

At hearing that question, the redhead began weeping…he knew full well that Pokemon would be gone from this world forever once the weapon was used, but he also knew that some sacrifices were necessary for achieving one's goal.

"Pokemon…yes, they too will be gone forever…I care for those proud creatures who share their power and abilities with us, as well as their friendship. However, some sacrifices are necessary for the end result to be achieved."

Riley could hardly believe what he'd heard, was this man so lost in his own power that he no longer had a heart?

"How can you say such things? Is power all that you care about?"

"What I care about no longer matters at this point…if you wish to stop me, then you'll have to face me in battle. You want to stop the ultimate weapon, and I refuse to allow that…come, let us decide who's actually worthy of survival!"

The raven haired Aura user steeled himself for battle as Lysandre sent out his first Pokemon, which was Mienshao.

"Lucario…you're up first."

As soon as Lucario was released into battle, the two Fighting types began a series of punches and kicks to each other until Lucario used Aura Sphere to end the fight. Mienshao was recalled from battle and replaced with Gyarados, Lucario barely having the energy to stand up after battling with a high powered opponent.

Riley recalled his partner and sent out his second Pokemon, which was a Zebstrika. The Electric Pokemon let out a snort and allowed the lightning energy to make his mane glitter as Riley made the first move.

"Zebstrika, use Wild Charge!"

Gyarados used Outrage to try and lessen the damage, but it still managed to knock him unconscious due to Type disadvantage. Zebstrika also made quick work of Lysandre's last two Pokemon, which were a Pyroar and a Honchkrow…as he looked away in defeat, Riley ran his hand across Zebstrika's mane affectionately before recalling the Electric Pokemon into its' Ultra Ball.

"It seems that you're pretty skilled, and your Pokemon obviously believe in you…but…it's too late. There's no hope for you now! Go down to the lowest floor and see for yourself, I think you'll find that your efforts will be for nothing in the end."

"If we go down there…will Ash be there? We need to find him, and soon…I'm worried about him." Clemont said, the redhead curious as to how far the friendship between them went. But he didn't really care at this point, so he just motioned to the door nearest him and the group of Trainers went through it after they climbed the stairs.

As they all made their way through the hallways, Luca and Wallace joined with them in order to stop the Team Flare grunts blocking their way…after an hour of running down staircases, the blonde Gym Leader and the other Trainers found themselves standing in front of a door that required a password to open it.

Riley sent out his Zebstrika and had it use Thunderbolt, the Electric Pokemon's energy shorting out the lock and making the door pop open. When they got into the room, they saw that several Team Flare admins were standing in front of the machines.

Luca and Wallace, along with Hope and Diana, had finally made their way downstairs and took on the admins while Riley, Anna, and their Pokemon took on the 6 Pokemon that were guarding the machines.

As chaos erupted throughout the room, Clemont walked up to the machines and saw that Lysandre really did have both Yveltal and Xerneas hooked up to the machines. His eyes then landed on his boyfriend sleeping inside a pod in the middle of both Legendary Pokemon with tubes hooked up to his body.

Thinking that he was in danger, the blonde Gym Leader had his Luxio use Thunder Fang to short out the machine…the pod opening up and Ash falling out, but Clemont caught him before he hit the ground. The tribal 'Y' that was present on Ash's neck beforehand had disappeared, proof that Yveltal wasn't in his body anymore. The raven haired Trainer was still comatose and wasn't opening his eyes, but his deep and even breathing reassured Clemont that Ash was still alive.

Before any of them could breathe a sigh of relief, the ground started rumbling and shaking loudly, the black cocoon glowing magenta-purple as the blonde Gym Leader helped move his raven haired lover away from the machines…the cocoon bursting open to reveal Yveltal, in all his destructive glory and power. Something seemed off about him, though, as he unleashed a loud roar that made the ceiling and room start falling to pieces around them.

A steel beam came falling down towards Ash and Clemont, everyone except them, Riley, Anna, and Bonnie having fled the room. The blonde Gym Leader had little time to react as he forcibly pushed Ash's unmoving body away from himself and was soon trapped beneath a massive steel beam that was so heavy he couldn't move, blood pouring from a cut on Clemont's forehead and dripping from the corners of his mouth.

Bonnie screamed in fear as she watched her brother get pinned beneath the metal beam, Yveltal having flown away through a hole in the roof that he'd created with his signature move Oblivion Wing. The blonde girl ran over to her brother and tried to push the metal beam off of him, but it was far too heavy for her to even move.

Riley and his Pokemon also tried to help remove the steel beam from the blonde Gym Leader's body, but it was too heavy for any of them. Anna had somehow managed to get Ash to wake up, though he was in pain from being stiff for so long as he let his eyes take in the room around him.

When he heard grunts of pain and effort, Ash saw that Clemont was trapped beneath a steel beam that was easily the size of a Steelix…panic quickly settling onto his face as he tried to run over and help his boyfriend but was physically drained from all the energy he'd lost because of Yedidyah's need to get his body back.

Anna was saddened at seeing her brother so distraught over one of his best friends' situation. As she tried her best to help him up, the raven haired Trainer let his eyes fall upon Xerneas as it slept inside the tree.

Ash vaguely remembered that Xerneas was known as the 'Life Pokemon', which meant that it shared its' life energy with others who need it. He believed that if he asked for help, Xerneas might listen to him.

"Anna, can you do me a huge favor?"

"Sure, brother…what is it?"

"(grunts) Take me to Xerneas…I need to talk to her."

"Are you sure? You look like you're about to collapse, and you wanna talk to the other Legendary Pokemon? How can you? How do you know it's a girl, and-" Anna began asking as worry overtook her tone but her brother silenced her by placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Anna, sister…I know how much you worry about me, and I can't really explain everything right now. All I know is, every second we sit here hesitating, Clemont's getting one step closer to being crushed to death. I have to do something, or he'll die."

Anna was trying her hardest not to show how scared she was, but she helped her brother over towards the tree and he knelt down before the machine and started talking to the white tree.

"Xarina…I know that you've already done so much, that your power has been taken from you by Yedidyah…but Clemont, the one I love so much, is dying. I need help, or he won't make it…please, Xarina, I'll do anything to save him. Please…help him. I can't lose him, he's my other half…my soulmate, and I can't do anything to help him on my own."

As the raven haired Trainer stared at the ground, tears began running down his face as he realized that he had to do something so he made his way over to Clemont…the blonde Gym Leader still struggling to get out from under the beam but wasn't having much luck. Anna sent out her Shieldon and told it to help move the beam off of Clemont, which it did with some effort and the group of Trainers pulled the blonde Gym Leader away from the steel beam.

His body looked like it'd been crushed beneath an Aggron's tail, Clemont struggling to breathe as Ash pulled him close and held him in his arms…tears falling from his eyes again and onto his lover's face as they just stayed in each other's arms, none of them noticing that the white tree began glowing in a bright blue light.

The ground once again began shaking and rumbling, Riley, Bonnie, and Anna turning towards the machines and watching as Xerneas had burst out the tree…the massive Fairy Pokemon jumping to the ground and walking over towards the raven haired Trainer holding his blonde lover. Her eyes could see that the boy had been through so much, so she chirped at him before using the energy within her to heal Clemont's injuries…the blonde Gym Leader closing his cornflower blue irises and falling into a deep sleep, the raven haired Trainer smiling in relief before Xerneas gestured at Ash to jump on her back.

The raven haired Trainer assured his lover that he'd be back soon as he jumped onto Xarina's back, the two of them taking off through the hole in the roof that Yveltal had used and went after him…intent to save Kalos from his destructive power being the only thing on their minds as Hope and Diana, along with Zekrom and the Pokemon Ash had used earlier, followed after the raven haired Trainer. Pikachu soon joined them as well, he wanted to save his best friend no matter what it took.

The only thing that remained was to stop Yveltal before all life on Earth was gone forever.

T.B.C.- So, that was one hell of a chapter to write…as for where Pikachu has been for the last few chapters, he actually managed to track down Zekrom and tell her what happened with the ultimate weapon so she will be helping Ash stop Yveltal in the next chapter or two. Until then, please don't hate me or this chapter because I was sick and couldn't write it out until today.
