Sun and Moon (a 'Pokemon X/Y' fic)

Disc.: I will never ever own a great series like this one, so for now I'll to settle on writing fics like this one.

A/N: So, to all my readers who have been waiting forever for a chapter, I wanna apologize for the excruciatingly long wait. I got sick, and I lost my will to write another chapter of this story so I tried working on other projects to pass the time until I felt like writing this story again…including a sequel to my Lion King fic. Anyway, I hope you guys can forgive me for keeping you waiting so long…here's the chapter to make up for it.

Ch.15- Danger

The sky above Kalos was dark, the clouds swirling in vicious and chaotic patterns. The forests trembled from the force of the violent gales being whipped up around them, the trees having their leaves stripped off and sucked into the massive black tornado that was glowing magenta in the middle. The many Pokemon living there ran away to find shelter, but unfortunately they were petrified as their life force was sucked out of them.

Xanthia could sense it from where she stood at the forest's edge after touching ground, the raven haired Trainer feeling the harsh winds sting his face as they whipped past him. Ash nodded at Xerneas, the massive stag Pokemon letting the boy down from her back as she ran towards the storm.

The whole forest looked like a deadened wasteland, the trees and many hundreds of Pokemon having been petrified from having their life energy stolen and fed to the monster inside the storm. Ash couldn't stand by and watch this destruction go on anymore, but before he could send out his Pokemon he looked up when he heard a loud roar echo above his head.

Luca, Wallace, and the 8 Kalos Gym Leaders were perched upon Rayquaza's back…all the Trainers jumping down to the ground as Tiānshàng turned to glare at Yveltal before letting out another deafening screech.

The brunette Hoenn Champion stroked Rayquaza's side softly and nodded at him when they locked gazes, the emerald dragon Pokemon flying away the second he got the order to go off into battle. Wallace then turned to all the other Trainers with him, the Kalos Gym Leaders standing by and waiting for what he would say.

"Listen up, everyone- this will be our most important battle yet, for our world is in danger again…this Pokemon intends to wipe out all life, including our own, if we allow him to go on with his rampage! So, I ask all of you, release your Pokemon and ask them to fight with us…believe in them and they will no doubt do their very best to protect this beautiful world of ours. Unova Leaders, Diantha, Luca, and even Ash…show Yveltal that if he wants our world, he'll have to take it from us by force!"

All the Unova Gym Leaders nodded at the Sootopolis Gym Leader, Viola releasing her Pokemon first…the rest of the Leaders following suit as Wallace himself then let loose his own Pokemon, and finally Luca sent his own out and told them to fight to the very end with all their strength.

"Please, let us help!"

Ash, Luca, and Wallace turned when they heard a female voice speak up…all of them surprised to see Diancie hobbling up to them with Hoopa next to her, the two sisters looking confident as they saw the destruction before them. They also saw the Pokemon of the Unova Gym Leaders throwing attack after attack at the massive Dark/Flying Pokemon.

"How can you help?" the brunette Hoenn Champion asked curiously, Hope smirking at him as she removed the rings from her body.

"Like this! Come forth, Legends of our world…aid us in our struggle, and take down Yedidyah with everything you have!" Hoopa said as the rings began pulsating, every Legendary Pokemon from every Region flying or running out of the rings to fight against the threat to their home.

The Lake Spirits soon appeared out of the bushes, Alexander and Riley flying off to also lend their abilities to the showdown taking place. Anna and Riley also joined in soon afterwards, each of them sending their own Pokemon out to fight and help save everyone from a fate worse than death.

The Dark/Flying Pokemon was barely taking any damage, but was starting to get pissed off at so many Pokemon attacking him…including the Legendary Pokemon, who were pelting him with their own attacks. The most annoying of them all, however, was Rayquaza. He'd shifted into his Mega Evolved form and was deadlocked with him, their hands clasped together as they fought for the upper hand even as the emerald Dragon Pokemon started pushing back.

Yedidyah finally managed to unclasp their hands when he was pushed back slightly, Tiānshàng wrapping his body around Yveltal and squeezing him loud enough to make him shriek loudly as he then bit into the back of his neck with sharp fangs…blood running down the Dark/Flying Pokemon's skin as he screeched in agony and rage.

After a few more minutes of being subjected to the other's teeth, Yedidyah used his tail to grab hold of his opponent and pry him off his body…but before he could counterattack, a huge bolt of lightning engulfed Yveltal and he roared in pain. He turned to see who'd hit him with so much raw Electric energy and found Zekrom flying towards him, Raikou running along the ground beneath her and throwing bolts of his own at Yedidyah. Following Raikou was Prilivnyy, the Water/Ground Pokemon knowing that he couldn't let his good hearted Master get hurt…Raikou nodded at Swampert when he managed to catch up to him, the Water/Ground Pokemon jumping onto the Electric Pokemon's back and then crouching down. When he was close enough, Prilivnyy sprang upwards just as Yveltal was readying another Oblivion Wing attack that was gonna hit Tiānshàng when he had his guard down.

As Yedidyah got ready to launch his attack, he was caught off guard himself when a Swampert was thrown at him by Zekrom…the Water/Ground Pokemon grabbing onto his neck and trying to hold him off while Xanthia got into position, but he just couldn't prevent himself from taking the attack at point blank range. As the two attacked each other, Yedidyah with Oblivion Wing and Swampert with Hydro Cannon, the two extremely powerful moves collided and the two Pokemon ended up falling to the ground.

The force of impact left a huge crater that kicked up a huge cloud of dust. When it cleared, the Dark/Flying Pokemon shook off the damage but was severely weakened by all the Pokemon attacking him and managed to stand up on his two legs. Prilivnyy, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky. He'd been petrified by the close up Oblivion Wing attack, but this was by far the worst case of it…his skin had turned a very dark grey that had lost all warmth and energy, his eyes wide open and mouth agape.

Before Yedidyah could celebrate his victory, he was pinned to the ground by Virizion's Frenzy Plant attack and couldn't move. Terrakion's Stone Edge attack formed a barrier around him while Victini's Psychic energy made the floating stones thrum with energy, Xerneas appearing a moment later and releasing all her life giving energy towards Yveltal. The energy engulfed him and purged the Dark energy corrupting his soul and returned him to his original state as all the Kalos Gym Leaders and Trainers came running towards the bright pink light, their eyes going wide at what they saw.

Yedidyah looked the same physically, but his coat had been turned back to its' original color: dark magenta with white bordering and a dark grey/lavender feather collar around his neck, dark grey/lavender diamond shapes dotting his wings and tail, his eyes now a gentle aquamarine that could match Wallace's hair in tone. The ground beneath Yedidyah shook as a black crystal fell from his chest, the gem shattering on impact and turning into dust that blew away in a small breeze. After making sure it was safe to let him loose again, Terrakion and Victini removed the Psychic energy imbued stones surrounding him and Virizion let her vines recede.

Yveltal looked around at all the destruction he'd caused and let out a mournful roar, Xanthia gathering her energy and using it to revive everything that was once dead or still petrified…the Pokemon in the forest returning to life and celebrating the fact that the battle was over.

As Ash walked forward, his boyfriend Clemont next to him, Munja turned to the raven haired Trainer and looked at him with sadness in her eyes…Pikachu joining Ash a minute later and perching himself on his shoulder. Zekrom then looked at Ash and rumbled out an apology, at least that's what it sounded like to everyone else that wasn't a Pokemon.

"[Ash, I am so very sorry about what I did to you and Pikachu in Unova…I was angry, and I took it out on someone who didn't deserve it. Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?]"

The raven haired Trainer looked at the massive Electric/Dragon Pokemon and saw tears pooling in her eyes, Munja's rumbling voice laced with sadness as she whined slightly. Ash walked up to her and patted her leg softly, the action surprising her and his boyfriend as he smiled at the black Electric/Dragon Pokemon.

"It's ok, Zekrom…you fought for us and our world, so I forgive you for what happened in the past. That aside, I've been looking to add another partner to my team…how'd ya like to fill that spot, and come with us on our journey?"

The black Electric/Dragon Pokemon nodded with a smile on her face as the raven haired Trainer threw an Ultra Ball at the Legendary Pokemon, the ball twitching three times before it stopped and Ash picked it up…the blonde Gym Leader also smiling at his lover's newest addition to his team.

Luca walked up to his Swampert and saw the state he was in, the brunette Hoenn Champion falling to his knees and shaking his Pokemon in an effort to get him to move again…but nothing happened. Xanthia poured her energy into the petrified Pokemon and changed his body back to normal, but he still wouldn't move or wake up. The only thing that happened was that Prilivnyy's eyes closed and his mouth followed suit.

As Luca shook his Pokemon to get him to wake up, tears began pouring down his face as he just kept trying to get his Swampert to open his eyes…but after trying for nearly 10 minutes, the brunette Hoenn Champion had to accept the fact that his beloved Prilivnyy, the Swampert he'd raised since it was a tiny, hyperactive Mudkip…had died in battle.

The silence around everyone was only broken by Luca's pained sobbing, the brunette Hoenn Champion weeping while clinging to one of his family members as the tears kept falling. Wallace moved to hold his lover and let him grieve, the rest of the Kalos Gym Leaders, Trainers, and Pokemon living in the forest also grieving for the brave Pokemon who'd given his life to help save the world from a terrible fate.

For the rest of the day, the only sounds to be heard were wailing sobs and tears falling to the earth.

T.B.C.- Wow, I can't believe I finally finished this chapter! I must apologize to all who have been waiting for the next chapter: I am so very sorry, please don't kill me! Anyway, thought I'd thrown in some actual death, though it tore me up to have to kill one of Luca's Pokemon. That being said, the next chapter will be finished sooner this time. The songs that inspired the sad death/grieving scene were 'Death and Mourning' from 'The Legend of Dragoon' soundtrack/game, and 'Whiskey Lullaby' by Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss. I suggest you listen to both while reading the sad scene with Swampert, it really amps up the sadness factor…at least for me, it does.
