The crew sat calmly on the deck of the ship, playing cards. Hicca stood at the helm of the ship, still steering. The winds had been bad, so she had to keep her wits up to make sure they wouldn't lose track of their route. "What game are you guys playing?" She asked as she saw the three sitting in a circle. Using heavy objects to keep their carts from being carried away by the wind. "Mau Mau." Brynn replied as she put a 2 of spades on the stack, making Ray groan as he pulled two new cards from the other stack. "I feel like their plotting against me." Ray said to Hicca as he rearranged his cards. Brynn then put her card down, before knocking on the wooden boards, indicating that she only had one card left.
"I swear to god that you two are cheating." Ray muttered as he put another card on the stack, using his revolver to keep the stack from being taken by the wind. Hicca focussed on sailing, gently steering the ship at the right angle. They were already halfway towards Stadt, and with this speed they would reach the linkup right in time. It was perfect, no one stood in their way. Militairy operations had ceased for a month. They deemed the skies 'too hostile' and now only transported their good in large, naval based, convoys.
It wasn't all that bad really, most of their supplies they bought, and they only raided for food and water on rare occasions, knowing that the target's crew would also need it. They were pirates, not villains.

Gobber let his wooden leg set foot on Berkian soil again, they had just docked and he was quickly ordering everyone around. "Fish' get the crates with Snotloud. Twin, I want you to make a list of repairs. Aster, you inform Stoick. We're staying for one to two weeks this time lads, so make the most of it." He barked out. "I'm treating myself with a nice little vacation." "Where are you going?" Fishlegs asked as he lifted an empty crate. "None of your business, I don't want any of you following me there." He said with a chuckle. "I'm hoping to find some rest."
He cleared his absence with Stoick, who was sad that his friend would leave now that he had just returned, but also understood his need for vacation. He told him that a repaired and restocked ship would be awaiting him upon his return, and that he could take one of the smaller vessels in the meanwhile. They hadn't been on port for an hour or he had already left again.
Gobber loved sailing, the wind in his hair, or at least in his moustache. The gentle roar of the engine, with the occasional sputter. The squeaking of the hot air pump. It all added to the ambiance of the air. He took a glance at his map, locking the wheel in place when he had confirmed his course. If his information was correct he would arrive there a day before the rest.
He sat down on a set of stairs on the small ship, closed his eyes and let thoughts carry him through the journey. He thought about Berk, the quiet little village that was pestered by dragons. He thought about how he had lived there, his parents worked in steel factories, but he had a thing for mechanics. He remembered the disappointed scowl that he would get when he got home with something new about airships. They were quite new those days, and his parents wanted nothing to do. He had been such a small boy, and he had been so broken by the disappointment of his parents.
That all changed when he had seen Hicca look at the airships, he had seen her grow since she was a child. Stoick, being a single father and having to run a village, often didn't have time for her, so Gobber was the number one babysitter. He remembered how those small and sad green eyes lit up when she saw airships, how she would shine and jump with energy. With anything else she had the attention span of a sparrow, but when it came to aircraft she was all ears. He could tell her everything he knew thrice a day and she would still find it interesting. He had adored her so much.
Then she grew, and grew and grew, she slowly turned out to be differend from the group. When everyone was fighting the dragons, manning guns or operating pumps. She would be working in the shop. She would be working on engines like there was nothing going on, much to the dismay of the village. When the battle was over she would be helping everywhere, replacing worn barrels on guns and turrets. Fixing weaponry and rebuilding constructions, usually improving them while she did, but did anyone notice? No.
Dragon training came, and the little girl was terrified. Gobber wanted to scream his lungs out when he first let a dragon out of its cage. It headed straight for Hicca, pinning her against the wall as it tried attempted to kill her. He had been there just in time. But then she trained or something, because she suddenly grew very talented. The large beasts would just drop in front of her, sometimes unconscious and other times just sleeping or in a state of bliss. Something was off, but he didn't question it.
She was chosen to kill the Nightmare, the most dangerous dragon in their captivity. But when the battle was to begin, she was nowhere to be found. She had left, packed her goods and taken one of the small airships that Gobber was currently on. They had send out search parties and letters to nearby cities. All stating that they could've seen the girl, but weren't sure.

Hicca remembered it very well, the night she left. She finally did it. After years of being ridiculed and tormented she packed up and left. And that all because of a useless reptile. The years had been fair to her, not kind but also not unforgiving. Sure she had lost her leg in an accident. After problems with her engine caused it to explode one of the glowing-hot propellers had broken loosed and has severed her leg. Luckily Brynn had found her, and the two grew to become big friends. Then there was the incident with Ray at the bar, which was quite funny to think back at, now that the two were in a relationship. Sith had joined shortly after, when they heard rumours of a girl riding a tidal dragon. They had quickly grown together as a close and fun family, taking care for each other.
She was very content with her life. She had disappointed her father many times, but leaving was the best choice yet. She had quickly adapted to her new life of piracy. Raiding her first military vessel together with Brynn. The two girls had grown to be best friends, and together with Sithera they formed a sisterhood. Ray would be found chatting with Toothless, cracking jokes and laughing together since they were the only guys on the ship.
It had been kind times indeed, the loss of her leg had given her new insights. It had helped her bond with Toothless and it had definitely made her look badass. She had grown, in length and in skills. Now able to defeat groups of capable fighters. She was fierce and deadly, a combination that had proven to be excellent for her.
She looked at her map, now steering the ship a hard left. They were now heading straight towards their destination. Hoping to finally meet up with the rest and also adapt their radios to each other. Which would give them access to easy communication.

Gobber had returned behind his wheel, now also steering the airship to the proper location. He couldn't wait to arrive. He had to work quickly. Deflating the airship and camouflaging it, just to be sure. He hadn't felt this excited since Stoick had given him permission to take Hicca as his apprentice. Maybe it wasn't about the task, maybe it was about Hicca. He wanted to see her again so badly, wanted to hold her, hold her and never let go. She was like a daughter to her, a daughter that he had lost by his own stubbornness. If only he had seen the signs. The deflated way she walked after being chosen. The utter chaos in her eyes, the look of fear. He had guessed that it was about having to face the Nightmare, but it had nothing to do with that dragon. It had to do with the village, with her father, with him.
The thought haunted his mind, not letting go of his brain as it slowly corrupted his thinking. He didn't want to think like that, but he guessed the truth just hurt.
He took a last glance at his map, rereading the words to be sure of the location. He seriously hoped that he had done nothing to put the deal in danger. He would only have to lay low and observe, that was all that was permitted.
He looked at the map again, his hands sweaty on the wheel. The map had a crude drawing of several rocks, with a clouded inside, hinting that it was unknown. The map he used was old, and no one had ever taken the time to explore the inside of those formations. It was too dangerous.
Above the drawn formations stood a text, drawn with a feather and ink. It read 'Fenrir's Teeth'. And was circled with grey pencil. He hoped everything went according to plan, that would be something.
