Hicca's hand moves quickly and swiftly, grabbing inferno from her side and rapidly activating the blade, leaving a flaming sword on Ray's chin. The gunner stood still, his hands in the air and his weapons on the ground.
"Explain yourself." Hicca demanded, checking around her for the ambush she was expecting, before turning back to Ray. "Now!" "I gave someone our location, he's one island away from us." Ray explained. "He shouldn't know we're here." Hicca retracted her blade, still keeping it aimed at Ray.
"I could trust you." She muttered, tears slowly building up in her eyes, covered by her helmet. "Why did you do it?" "He deserved it." Ray calmly explained, still keeping his hands in the air to make sure she didn't see him as a treat. "He needed to see you, just that." "Who?" She asked looking back up to face Ray. "Who needed to see me?" "The smith." Ray stated. "The Berkian smith."
Hicca had thoughts rush through her head, Gober was here, somewhere on another one of the islands. "I wanted to clear it with you before you met him or he did anything rash." Ray calmly continued. "Even if I'm not your crewmember after this you'll still be my captain." "You should have cleared this with me before this happened." Hicca said. "Before you gave him our location!" "You would have refused." Ray stated calmly. "Well if you knew that then why did you do it?" Hicca asked, on the verge of crying.
"He deserves to see you." Ray stated. "You're like a daughter to him." Hicca looked down at the ground, Gobber was also a father to her. "He doesn't want you back on Berk, he wants what's best for you." Hicca looked up from this. He wouldn't mind if she lived this life? "He just wanted to see you, the hear you speak, to see you laugh." Ray explained. "I couldn't deny him that."
Hicca was silent, she understood the way he thought, and silently was thankful for it. She wanted to see Gobber again, to talk to him, and share a hug. But it was impossible with the hunt on her going on. She stood there, inferno still aimed at Ray, in silence, thinking.
"I can understand that this might not be what you want." Ray began again. "But he deserves it." "And why is that?" Hicca asked. "What makes him deserve it?" "He's like a father to you, he raised you." Ray explained, knowing that a tough part would come now. "You know what happened when I visited my parents after I left." He began. "I still regret not doing it sooner every day of my life. If I would have been there faster, earlier, quicker. I would've been able to see them a last time."
"We live in a dangerous world Hicca, and we live dangerous lives. For all we know we could get trouble and crash, we could burn down, explode, anything could happen." Ray told her. "And the same things can happen to him, so I wanted to give him a chance. You can see him regularly, see him talking, and see him walking and healthy. He can't with you, for all he knows you might be dead, or kidnapped." Hicca lowered Inferno, clicking it back on her leg.
"Where is he?"

Gobber was sitting against a log, almost dozing off again. He had been watching the group for most of the night, never spotting her. His mind lingered with questions, Roamer had promised that she'd be here. And why would he give the real location if she wasn't with them. The way he had talked about her gave him the idea that he knew here very well, so she had been close to him. Was her ship late? Or maybe she was on a different mission or task and would come some other time.
He was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard bushes rustle nearby, he reached for his side, grabbing his revolver and aiming it for the origin of the sound. From the woods emerged the gunner, his hands raised. "Hi." He said.
Gobber lowered his gun, to which the gunner also lowered his hands. He stood up from the tree he was resting on and walked to the gunner. "And, where would she be?" He asked, calmly and politely. "I certainly haven't seen her, and you promised me I would." Ray sighed. "Ultimately, the choice is hers to make." He explained. "I told her about the situation and she said she'd think about it."
"What?!" Gobber exclaimed. "What makes you think she won't go to your captain and alert her?" "Just trust me." Ray said calmly. "But I do think she would like it if you handed over that pistol." Gobber looked at the arm in his hand, shiny and loaded, and handed it to Ray. "Thank you." He said as he emptied the revolver, letting the bullets drop on the ground.
As soon as the last bullet dropped, Gobber heard another sound in the woods, this time the masked captain emerging from it. A revolver aimed at Gobber. The smith looked at Ray, who raised his hands, before raising his own. "Trust me, she won't go to the captain." He muttered, which earned a snicker from the gunner. Gobber turned to the captain.
"Ma'am, I'm terribly sorry for trespassing on these islands, but I wished to see a young girl." He explained. "And I don't plan on leaving before I do." The captain looked at him, slightly tilting her head, before rushing to him and hugging him. Gobber stood there, his hands still raised, not knowing what to do. Ray slowly removed the revolver from her hand. Gobber could hear the girl sobbing behind the helmet, and slowly hugged her back. "It's alright, it's alright." He said as he looked at Ray, who had a huge smirk on his face. He mouthed the words 'Who is this?' to him. He simply replied by lifting an invisible helmet from his head, indicating that he should do the same with the captain.
They took a step apart from each other, and Gobber slowly moved his hands to the head of the leader, hoping to remove the helmet. She recoiled at first, causing him to stop before continuing slowly again. He lifted the helmet, revealing a messy mob of brown hair, braided over a shoulder. Revealing green eyes, staring into him, and a face with a small scar on the chin of it. She stood there like a young, shy girl, her shoulders raised and playing with her hands, looking down at the ground.
She looked up at him, making him see how her face had matured throughout the years. She had grown in length, and actually looked like she towered over her cousin. She had grown to be a beautiful woman, with small stains of oil and mud on her face. "Hi Gobber." She said.
His mind went out, all he could do was step forwards and hug her tightly, placing a kiss on her forehead. "Hey there, little one." He said, the same way he would address here when she would enter his workshop on the average day. They stayed like that for a few seconds, before Gobber broke off and looked at her again. "Look at you, grown-up and all." He said, fighting back tears in his eyes, he rustled her hair with his good hand, before settling it at her chin, she nuzzled her head into his touch. Resting on his hand with her head.
"I missed you." She said softly, enjoying his company. "I missed you a lot." "So have I my girl, so have I." Gobber said. "And I'm not the only one." They sat down together, talking about the past years. Hicca explained how she fled, how she lost her leg, and how she found her crew. Gobber explained how life on Berk hadn't changed much, still heavily dominated by the dragon raids and the average human raiders. They didn't talk about dragons much, only briefly when Gobber expressed his worries about her keeping the beasts around, which Hicca quickly reassured him of that it was perfectly safe.
Ray had been sitting quietly against a tree while the two talked, he felt that he made a good choice, reuniting the two. They talked as he had imagines, long stories about the past years and old memories about their lives. They laughed and cried, sometimes both at the same time, and both together. His only worries now lay with Hicca, and what she would decide to do with him. He had committed treason, and of quite a high level. Not only endangering himself and his fellow crew, but their entire group of followers. All he could do now was hope she would be lenient with him.
After hours of talking the sun began to shine through the openings in the rocky roof and Hicca decided that if she would still be absent there would be search parties. "I need to go again." Hicca said sadly to Gobber, who nodded in understanding. "Aye, go back to your crew." He responded. "I'll be here for a few days anyway." Hicca hugged the big man again. "I'll be back tomorrow."
They bode their farewells and headed back towards the camp, on their way they walked in silence. "So, what happens now?" Ray broke the silence with a question. "Are you mad?" Hicca looked at him with a shy smile. "I'm not mad," She started. "I'm furious." Ray grew fearsome at this statement. "But I'm not going to do anything." She then added. "I am also thankful for it." She turned to her crewmember before walking any further. "But if you ever think about something like this again. You. Come. To. Me." She stated clearly. "Got it?"
"Yes, capt'n." Her gunner spoke. "Will that be all?" "Probably." Hicca responded. "I might inform Brynn about this." She could hear and feel her crewmember gulp behind her. Brynn was very defensive about Hicca, almost to the point where she didn't allow her to go anywhere alone. She would also take any excuse to annoy or irritate her boyfriend. So it wasn't looking sunny for Ray.

The camp was a mess, anybody walking around here would have to be careful to not step on the last burning embers of the fires. Some crew slept on logs, still in a rather drunk state, other crewmembers successfully found hammocks or tents and rested there. There were a few who were already awake, Hicca's crew was one of those. Sithera didn't drink, which lead her to being awake early. Brynn had stopped drinking alcoholic beverages when she noticed Hicca's absence, and was now somewhere chasing, or already beating the crap out of, her boyfriend.
Hicca slowly walked through the camp, helping some people from their sleep and up again. It was quite a mess already, but she would have to inform every one of the plans they had for this place.
AN:
Well, isn't that a happy reunion? I hope I managed to do everything right and well for the chapter. I also hope everyone is still enjoying the story. I am going to start another story later today, being about Hiccup becoming an assassin, woot woot. So keep an eye out for that. It'll be called 'Nothing is true, everything is permitted'. Cliché, not?
Anyway, take care.
