A/N: Hey guys! I'm back...I'm sorry for not being on for a very long time, but I'm back now and here's a chapter. The reason I haven't been on for so long is because I've been busy and my computer didn't allow me to go onto this website, but I have a new computer now (yay). Thank you all for being so patient. :)

Chapter 17

"Natsu? What's wrong?" Lucy asked, waving a hand in front of Natsu's face, with a worried look. He gazed blankly at the door before blinking and looking at her. She shivered as she felt a cold chill.

"Natsu?" Natsu asked, tilting his head to the side. "Oh right. This body..." Natsu looked down at his body and shrugged.

"...What have you done to Natsu?" Lucy asked, hearing the anger in her voice. She felt herself shake before she let out a breath and tried to calm down.

"Hmm...He's inside here somewhere...Ah! I've gotta go," the person said, running towards the door. Lucy glared at Natsu's back before running up to him and kicking the pink haired boy into the wall. "Ouch!"

"Don't move," Lucy commanded. The boy nodded slowly. "Okay now answer my questions. Who are you?"

"I don't have time for this!" The boy exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air. Lucy glared and the boy sighed. "Lucky. I'm a ghost. I used to be a mage."

"A g-ghost?" Lucy asked, her eyes widening. The boy nodded. "What...What happened?"

"Hmm...I think I died at least five years ago in...an explosion...I think," the ghost hummed. "I really don't have time for this though. I have to meet up with my boyfriend."

"Boyfriend?" Lucy questioned.

"Yeah boyfriend. What? A ghost can't have a boyfriend?" The ghost glared at her. "By the way, I'm a girl. I was just unfortunate to get this guy's body. I was aiming for yours. I guess you got lucky." The ghost laughed at her own pun.

Lucy rolled her eyes, "This boyfriend of yours?"

The ghost sighed before replying, "His name is Eric. He died a few days after my death. My fiancé killed him out of anger. Oh, the my fiancé was arranged by my parents. I despised the guy. Just thinking about him makes me angry."

"Uh...Okay...," Lucy nodded.

"Well, we met up again as ghosts and decided to haunt my fiancé for a while. He left the house about a week ago. You should've seen him," the ghost chuckled.

"Then if you've accomplished what you stayed for, why are you still here?"

"I still have to find the person who killed me. It wasn't my fiancé, he really was in love with me."

"Why do you need a body though? Don't tell me..."

"Yeah. I can't leave this house. My boyfriend couldn't either, but three days ago he was sent to another place and was roaming around there waiting for a body to possess."

"Doesn't it feel wrong to take someone's body?" Lucy asked.

"I give them back," the ghost shrugged. "Can I go now?"

"Not with Natsu's body!" Lucy yelled. The ghost scurried back against the wall.

"But I just told you! I can't leave this place without a body."

"Just let Natsu go. I'll let you use mine."

"Really?" The ghost looked at her with excited eyes that made Lucy regret what she just offered. "...I can't. He won't let me leave now."

"Who?"

"Natsu. He doesn't want me to take your body. Hmphh," the ghost pouted. Lucy looked surprised and opened her mouth to say something when a shout was heard.

"Natsuuuu! Luuuuucy!" Happy yelled. The ghost looked at Lucy and both walked to the door. The ghost opened it and Happy flew in. While Lucy was distracted by Happy, the ghost dashed out of the house.

"Shoot! Happy, go after Natsu! He's possessed," Lucy ordered. The blue cat nodded before flying off. Lucy decided to take a quick look around the house to find anything that could help. She found a journal in one of the rooms. The journal looked worn out. She opened it and glanced at a few pages. Her eyes widened as she read three words on one of the last pages in the book.

I'll kill her.

The ghost ran in her new body, becoming more used to it. So weird to be in a boy's body..., she thought to herself as she glanced back to see a blue blur. She ran faster and into an alley. She slowed down as she didn't notice the cat anymore. Letting out a sigh, she relaxed a bit.

"Now...Where is he?" The ghost muttered to herself, looking for her boyfriend. She walked into the forest and sat in the shade of one of the trees. After waiting for half an hour, she started to worry. Did he move on? Where is he? Did someone hurt him? He's a ghost...But...Where is he?

"Lucky?" She heard a man's voice call out. She turned and saw a man standing with a smile on his face. He reached out for her and she leapt into his arms. The man chuckled.

"Why are you in a boy's body?" Her boyfriend asked and she blushed.

"I...I was trying to get the girl's but ended up in this boy's body instead," she replied.

"That won't do," the man muttered to himself. "Let's find you a different body."

"O-Okay," the ghost replied.

"You lost sight of her? Happy!" Lucy yelled, shaking her head at the cat who looked down.

"I'm sorry Lucy," he said. "I'll search for Natsu from the sky."

Without waiting for a reply, the cat flew into the sky and began his search. Lucy sighed and felt bad for yelling at Happy. She knew the he was worried about Natsu too. She was worried about Natsu more so than the ghost at the moment since there was no way the ghost was going to die. She looked up in time to catch sight of pink hair.

"Natsu!" She exclaimed. She noticed the ghost was with a man. Must be the boyfriend. Lucy looked at them in worry. She started after them when they walked towards the house that the ghost possessed Natsu. She entered after waiting a few minutes after they entered. She watched the two interact and saw the man holding a knife behind his back. She was about to go confront them when the ghost in Natsu's body left the room. The man stayed silent as he stood in the same spot without moving. Lucy wanted to go after the girl, but there was no way she could do that with the man in the way. There was a loud crash outside the house and the man ran towards her direction. Lucy hid quickly and held her breath as the man passed her by without noticing her. She waited a couple of seconds before rushing in the direction Natsu had went. She found the ghost in the kitchen getting a glass of water.

"Lucky," Lucy called out quietly. The ghost jumped, startled, before turning towards her. "I have something I need to tell you..."

Lucy paused when she noticed tears in Natsu's eyes. The ghost was crying.

"He...I k-know. I..I didn't," the ghost sobbed. Lucy felt awkward watching Natsu cry, but knew it wasn't him, but the ghost.

"You read the journal?" Lucy asked.

"What else can I do in such an empty house?" The ghost cried. "I never knew...I didn't want to believe it. He can't. He can't hate me!"

Lucy stayed silent as she watched the ghost cry.

"I thought...Maybe...Maybe it wasn't his journal. I knew his handwriting. I knew it was his. I didn't want to believe it. I can't. He said he loved me. How could he do such a thing?"

"I'm sorry," Lucy whispered.

"No you're not! You just want me to leave this boy's body and get rid of me quickly! You don't care!" The ghost shouted angrily.

Lucy tried to speak, but the ghost interrupted her, "Well guess what? I won't leave this body."

"What? Look, I know you're upset, but this has nothing to do with Natsu!" Lucy exclaimed.

"Lucky?" A voice called out.

"Don't!" Lucy glared at the ghost who was about to reply. "You know he hates you. He'll try to kill you and since he can't kill you, he'll kill Natsu! I won't let that happen."

"Don't say that. Don't lie to her," the man said, appearing at the entrance of the kitchen. "Lucky, come to me, sweetie."

"Don't go," Lucy warned. "I won't let you."

"She's trying to ruin our relationship, Lucky. Just like your fiancé," the man tried to convince the girl. "Don't listen to her."

There was a moment of silence before the ghost possessing Natsu stated, "I read your journal."
