Yallo me chums, I know I'm quick with the updates at the mo but that's cause I'm taking brakes between my revision! Anyway thought I'd type up some more so HERE I IS! Glad to know people are wondering what's happened to Lark! (DIDN'T KNOW YOU ALL CARED THAT MUCH) Oh and I apologise for my heinous typing in the last chapter...it was my phones fault...damn autocorrect! And I might just cry as I've got over 100 followers and nearly 90 favourites and over 80 reviews! *cries with happiness and feels loved* YOU GUYS ARE FAB! Shall we romp on then? I think we shall!
She tugged and pulled at the chain but it would not move. For the second time in her life the Greenwood felt harsh and cold...a prison that left a heavy weight hanging over her. Lark pulled at her chained wrists and tears rolled excessively down her cheeks. How could she have been so stupid? She should've realised it was a trap! Giving up, she slumped on the floor and hugged her knees, choking on the harsh sobs that escaped her.
"I wish Kili was here...I wish none of this ever happened."
Lying her head on her knees she allowed all of her emotions to come loose as she let out an anguished cry. It was faint laughter that pulled her head from her knees. Lark looked up to look at the clearing before her. A brunette man sat with his back to her, his arm lying on the stomach of a blonde woman, whose head was in his lap. The woman also had her hands on her stomach and she rubbed her large, swollen belly gently. The man smiled and leaned down to kiss the woman sweetly. Lark couldn't see their face, but it all felt familiar. The couple faded and a new image appeared.
"Papa!"
A small ebony haired girl ran up to a man. It was the same one from her first vision. The girl had fierce but warm orange eyes and her hair was as a black as the midnight sky. The man bent down and scooped up the lass tossing her into the air. The girl giggled and nuzzled her face into her father's neck.
"Careful now Varaelia...Kili please you might drop her!"
Lark felt her breath hitch...that was her voice...the man turned and looked straight at her; not seeing her. It was Kili...a slightly older Kili. His beard had filled out slightly but his looks were still there. Lark called out to him but he couldn't hear her. A woman walked towards Kili and the girl...blonde hair flowing as she did. She turned and looked at Lark. Lark gasped...it was her...the older version of herself nodded slowly and laid a hand on her stomach before the whole scene vanished. Lark shot up and cried out.
"NO PLEASE...COME BACK!"
She searched but to little use. The vision had gone and she was alone. Looking down at her stomach lark swallowed nervously...was she? No she couldn't be...could she? Lying a hand gently on her stomach, she closed her eyes, ignoring the sound of the chains rattling, a warmth coursed up her fingers and it felt as if something had just blossomed inside of her...a child...her child...Kili's child...their daughter! Clapping a hand to her mouth, she felt fresh tears form...she was with child...and it was in danger...terrible danger...if this thing that now ruled her mind found out then...she shuddered at the thought of her unborn baby being hurt. With a new determination he pulled at the chains. Clenching her eyes shut she pulled...and pulled...a new strength dwelled within her...and pulled...a promise of a life with Kili...and pulled...with their baby...the chains broke free and she hit the ground.
"YES!"
Pushing herself up she ran into the clearing...now what? How did she get herself back...turning to look at the forest she saw the shadows of darkness loom dangerously...she ran into the forest and into the labyrinth of her own mind...
ANG ON A MO!
