"Like a chest of hidden gold,
shimmers in the depths below.
We are, we are, the treasures that
they hide.
Like the sun that saves the night,
bursting through a darkened sky.
We are, we are, soldiers of the light.
And we will glow.
Oh, oh, oh.
So let them build their righteous tower,
our blazing hearts will burn it down.
We are, we are, soldiers of the light.
And we will glow.
Oh, oh, oh.
We are fire, we are fire.
And our love will burn,
the flame will never die.
We are brighter, we are brighter.
Let's show 'em how we light up tonight.
We will glow.
Oh, oh, oh.
Like a chest of hidden gold,
shimmers in the depths below.
We are, we are, the treasures that they hide.
Like the sun that saves the night,
bursting through a darkened sky.
We are, we are, soldiers of the light.

We are brighter, we are brighter.
Let's show 'em how we light up tonight.
We will glow.
Oh, oh, oh.
We will glow.
Oh, oh, oh.
We are fire, we shoot our flame up high.
They see us burn across a thousand miles.
We are brighter, the flame will never die.
Let's show 'em how we light up tonight.
Oh, you and I we're soldiers of light.
We will glow.
Oh, oh, oh.
We will glow.
Oh, oh, oh
We will glow."
BETHANY WITWICKY'S POINT OF VIEW
Sometimes seniors say that twelve is a breeze and all you do is tease freshmen and rule the school. Some also say that it's the hardest, considering the last credits you earn to graduate are crucial for you entering college.
I followed both - I slacked off at some points and then worked my ass off when it came to finals.
In the end, it all came down to a certain envelope that came into the mail, saying it was from your favorite college that you applied to.
"Bennie!" Sam came bursting into the kitchen, waving around the mail. "It's here! It's here!"
My parents, along with Bee were in the room and gasped. My eyes widened as I raced towards my brother and snatched the envelope from his hand.
Academy of Art University, founded in San Francisco 1929 was on the front of it. Bee came up behind me, resting his chin on my shoulder, wrapping his arms around my middle.
Using my index finger, I opened it and pulled out the important document. My eyes scanned over the page until the found the words that I've been waiting to look over since school ended.
You've been accepted.
"I got in," I breathed out, dropping the papers onto the counter. I turned around in my boyfriend's arms before squealing and jumping up to hug him. "I got in! I did it!"
Bee spun me around, yelling with just as much excitement as I had. "I'm so proud of you!" he set me down to peck my lips. "My smart girlfriend."
I grinned cheekily as my parents picked up the letter. "Our daughter just got in to one of the most famous and hard art colleges." my dad said. "I hope you know, I'm not paying for it-"
Shaking my head, I respond, "No, no, no... well, maybe a little bit but with the money I earned during the year, I can pay off little by little. 'Sides," I patted his shoulder, "you're going to need all the money to pay for Sam's."
That was about a month ago when I got accepted into the Academy of Art University. Sam got accepted into college as well. His was Princeton University. Princeton. Needless to say, I was pretty proud of my younger twin.
But, I wasn't going to college the same time Sam was. I asked them if I could wait a year or so until I went in for the rest of my schooling. The lady I gave my portfolio to said of course and that if I didn't want to leave home - which wasn't why I wanted to take a one year hiatus from school - I could do their online program. I gave the excuse of making a little bit more money to pay off the school fees.
The only reason I wanted a year until I went to college, was because of Bee. I just couldn't just leave him like that for a year or do a long distance relationship. Speaking of our relationship...
"Bee," I giggled as I watched as his fingers drifted off the easel, painting a squiggly line, forgetting about the lines that I drew for him, "You have to paint inside the lines."
The blond huffed like a little child, dropping the brush. "So?" he crossed his arms. "Aren't you supposed to think outside the lines?"
He did have a point. "True, but you told me that you wanted me to teach you how to paint." I point out. "This is how I taught myself. I stayed inside the lines and colored the background once everything was dry."
"Oh," his mouth made an 'o' as he turned his head at the drawing. "Well, I mean, it kinda looks like a bear when you do this."
"It was supposed to be Pikachu. You turned Pikachu into a bear. I didn't even think that was possible."
He tapped the side of his head. "That's thinking outside the lines, beautiful." Bee leaned over to kiss my forehead and I smiled.
"Okay, I'll try and draw something... easier for you to paint in." I grabbed the sketchbook, turning to a clean page and started to drag the pencil across the page. About a few moments later I had drawn a simple penguin with a Christmas hat. "This is hopefully easier."
My boyfriend picked up the picture. "It's so cute!" he cooed. "I don't want to paint this because it might ruin it."
"Go ahead-"
"No! It's cuteness must be protected! I can't paint this."
I rolled my eyes, pecking his lips. "Your cuteness must be protected."
He grinned. "Wow, is that your Witwicky charm I'm hearing?"
"Of course," I nod as he pulled me into his lap, nuzzling his face into the back of my shoulder. "I have all of the Witwicky charm."
Let's just say over the time Bee and I have been dating, it's been amazing. Considering we're both un-experienced, it's been fun trying out different things, but nothing has gone as far as... well, as far as Mikaela and Sam have gotten.
Oh yeah, my twin didn't take his girlfriend to a nice place or hotel where the deed would be done - they were in the house, where my mother heard the entire thing.
I've talked to Bee about it and even overheard him and my brother talking about it. He knows me well by now that I don't do rose petals to my bed or nicely scented candles. As long as its with him, I really don't care - just as long as it's not in the house with my parents still in it.
Turning around in his arms, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him, my eyes fluttering closed. I felt his arms snake up my back to tangle into my hair, pulling out the hair tie that was holding up my pony tail.
I deepened the kiss, running my fingers through his blond locks. Pulling away for air, I started to kiss all over his face, then dragged my lips down his neck. Just as I went back to kiss him again, I accidentally shifted my body weight onto his, sending us, along with the chair, onto the floor.
We both laughed, my face turning red in embarrassment. Bee brushed a few strands of hair away from my face before pressing his lips against mine. "Definitely all of the Witwicky charm." he murmured against my lips.
"Bethany!" it was my father's voice that pulled us both away with wide eyes. "C'mon, we gotta get Sam to college ASAP!"
"Go, go! Hide in my closet!" I ordered in a hushed tone to my boyfriend as I helped him off the floor.
"What about the broken chair?" he questions. I looked down at the said object and handed it to him, pushing him into the closest as fast as possible.
"Bethany?" he calls again as push whatever remains of the chair under my bed. "Did you hear me?"
I ran to the door before he opened it and saw him standing in the doorway. "Y-yeah," my voice was a view pitches higher so I cleared my throat, "I heard you. I was just looking... uh, just looking through my stuff! Yeah! Y'know, to check if Sam left anything in my room."
Dad peered into my room then back at me. "Are you sure you're okay? Your hair is all messed up and I heard a thump from downstairs."
That's all Bee's fault, I thought as I ran my fingers through my brown strands. I nodded. "I'm perfectly fine dad. I'll be down there in a few minutes, okay?"
"Alright." I watch him walk down the hallway and back downstairs and I close my door, leaning against it.
"Are we clear?" I hear Bee question.
I walked back over to my closet and opened the door. "Yup," I nodded. "Third time we've almost been caught though."
Bumblebee chuckled, placing the broken chair on the floor. "I don't think your parents suspect a thing."
"Good, I wouldn't want them to walk in on us." I leaned up on my tippy toes to peck his lips. "You should go, so I won't get distracted."
"Oh?" he raised his eyebrow. "I'm a distraction to you miss Witwicky?"
I rolled my eyes pushing him towards my window. "Go Bee."
"Fine," he cupped my face, giving me a soft kiss. "Just yell if you need me."
"Will do, Bee. Will do." I watched as he cautiously escaped my window, racing across the lawn and back into the garage. I closed my window before walking downstairs into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water.
Just as I opened the fridge, a sound of something dropping onto the table caught my attention. I looked over my shoulder just as all the cabinets popped open, causing me jump back. Suddenly all of the electronics that were in the kitchen - the blender, toaster, all of it - transformed into mini mechs.
Once they noticed I was there, they started firing their tiny bullets at me. I grabbed a frying pan from one of the open cabinets and used it as a shield, pushing myself into a corner. Peeking over the kitchen utensil, I saw one of them jump off the counter and rush towards me.
I yelled, banging the small robot over and over until it was it pieces. I scrambled out of the room, taking the pan with me and ran outside where I noticed my brother and father hiding behind our fountain.
Running over to them, Sam grabbed me, pulling me to his side just as the small mechs started firing at us.
"Bumblebee!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. The Autobot drove through the garage and transformed, using his sonic cannon and shot at them. He blasted up pieces of the concrete and our house, but as long as he saved our lives, I didn't care.
I heard my mom screaming and I looked over to see her running outside, until she banged her head onto one of the hanging flower pots, causing her to fall.
My father and I winced. "Call 911!" my dad orders as he rushes into the house.
"Bumblebee!" Sam yells, looking up at the said mech. "Get in the garage. I'm about to have a nervous breakdown, just go in the garage, quietly please."
"Holy mother!" my mother exclaimed and Bee made a noise that sound similar to what she said.
The yellow and black robot made a gesture to him and the house as to say, 'I just saved your life man, what the hell? Cut me slack!'
"Get in the garage, now!" my younger twin orders and I push him. "What-"
"Don't give me 'what'. He just saved our lives. Your," I jabbed my finger in his face, "life. You should be grateful that Bee was even here."
He crossed his arms. "Look just because he's your boyfriend, doesn't mean you have to take his side all the time. I mean, look around us, he pratically blew up the yard!"
"And saved your life." I pointed out with a roll of my eyes. "Don't get all mad at him because you want to live a normal life Sam. He's our car. An Autobot. Nothing can change that."
Before my brother could respond, probably with a smart comment, I went into the garage where Bee was hitting his head.
"It's okay Bee," I reassured, smiling up at him. "Sam's probably pissed but I'm not."
Sam and Mikaela entered a few moments later. "Yeah, you know you're in trouble."
"Still have voice problems?" my twin's girlfriend questions and Bee nods.
"Bee, I wanna talk to you about the college thing."
"I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it!"
Sam shoke his head. "I'm not taking you with me." the song stopped and Bee frowned, his plates falling in sadness. Mikaela said something about leaving outside and stepped out of the garage. "For one thing, freshmen aren't allowed to have cars. Two, I don't think my sister would like living away from you for that long. And three," he pointed at me, "my sister's boyfriend or not, you're an Autobot. You shouldn't be living in our father's garage, I mean you're suffocating in here. You deserve better than this."
Now that Sam said something about it, Bee probably would do better alongside Optimus and the rest of the Autobots helping out with N.E.S.T. They could use the extra muscle, but since Sam and I - mostly myself - have hogged the mech all to ourselves he hasn't had time to be with his friends.
Despite just wanting the mech all to myself, I nod, causing Bee's optics to widen. "He does have a point."
He turned his head away in sadness, causing Sam to frown. "This is hard enough, don't make it harder. Can you look at me please?" he turned Bee's gaze towards him. "C'mon big guy, look, the guardian thing is done, okay. You did your job. Look I'm safe now. You should go be with Optimus Prime and the others. I just want to be normal Bee, that's why I'm going to college." my twin looked over at me. "We're both going to college. You don't have to protect us anymore."
Bee held up his finger, gesturing for us to give him a minute as he turned away. He started to cry, making my heart break.
"You're killing me here Bee. But you'll always be our first car. Love you Bee," Sam patted my shoulder, before exiting the garage.
"Are you going- to leave- me too?" he questions through the radio as I continued to look at the ground. There was a flash of blue light before he transformed, his holoform stepping out of the car.
He grabbed my hands and made my eyes met his bright blue ones. "Tell me Bennie. Are you going to leave me too?"
"Yes... and no." I answered. "I'm taking a year off before I go to college so that way I can spend it with you and-"
"And then you're going to college."
I took a deep breath. "Bee, I'm going to make this work." his eyebrows knit in confusion. "Y'know why? I'm not going to San Francisco, better yet, I won't go to college."
He gasped, his eyes widening. "What?! You've been talking about going to that university since you started your last year of school! You just can't give that up-"
I covered his mouth with my hand and smiled. "Shush. I've made my decision. I just got you Bee, I'm not letting you go over school. It's not that important."
"Then what are you supposed to do?" he asked after I removed my hand.
I shrugged. "I'll figure it out in a year. For now, let's not worry about it."
"But-" rolling my eyes, I pressed my mouth against his shutting him up.
"Don't worry about it Bee. Right school doesn't matter." I intertwined our fingers together. "Let's go say bye to Sam."
We walked outside where the fire and police department were leaving our house. Sam had kissed Mikaela goodbye and got into my parents tightly compacted car.
I waved to them. "See you guys later! Have fun in Paris!"
My dad wasn't too fond of leaving me home alone with Bee for their vacation but I reassured him that nothing would happen, but no promises.
I then said goodbye to my brother's girlfriend as she speed off on her motorcycle. I turned around and wrapped my arms around Bee.
He rested his head on top of mine. "You promise not to leave me?"
I nodded. "As long as you promise not to leave me."
"Never," he promises, kissing the top of my head.
