I know I've been on hiatus for waaay to long and it's because high school started up to quickly for me and they screwed up my schedule to the point where I only have two core classes instead of my usual four, meaning I have to to take those two classes next year. I tried changing them but they said they can't do anything until next semester. So, I've been stressed out about that, my PSAT which I know I failed all of the math, and my honors/pre AP class. I really haven't had any time to write out a chapter or let alone write anything. Slowly but surely, I'm going to get back into the swing of things so bear with me here.

"Cold as ice,
and more bitter than a December
winter night.
That's how I treated you.
And I know that I,
I sometimes tend to lose my temper.
And I cross the line,
yeah that's the truth.
I know it gets hard sometimes,
but I could never,
leave your side,
no matter what I say.
Cause if I wanted to go I would have gone by now,
but I really need you near me to
keep my mind off the edge.
If I wanted to leave I would have left by now,
but you're the only one that knows me,
better than I know myself.
All along,
I tried to pretend it didn't matter,
If I was alone.
But deep down I know,
If you were gone,
for even a day I wouldn't know which way to turn,
'cause I'm lost without you.
I know it gets hard sometimes,
but I could never,
leave your side,
no matter what I say.
Cause if I wanted to go I would have gone by now,
but I really need you near me to
keep my mind off the edge.
If I wanted to leave I would have left by now,
but you're the only one that knows me,
better than I know myself
I get kind of dark,
let it go too far.
I can be obnoxious at times,
but try and see my heart.
Cause I need you now,
so don't let me down.
You're the only thing in this world
I couldn't live without.
Cause if I wanted to go I would have gone by now,
but I really need you near me to
keep my mind off the edge.
If I wanted to leave I would have left by now,
but you're the only one that knows me,
better than I know myself.
Cause if I wanted to go I would have gone by now,
but I really need you near me to
keep my mind off the edge.
If I wanted to leave I would have left by now,
but you're the only one that knows me,
better than I know myself."
"How do you not know which building he's in? He's your brother."
"He's your boyfriend! Didn't you guys do that fancy video chat thingy?"
The dark haired girl averted her eyes as we walked into the large campus. "Sam kinda stood me up-"
My eyebrows knitted in confusion. "Why? He's not cool, he doesn't have any friends here, it's not like he went to a part or anything." she sent me a glare and I raised my hands in defense. "What? I'm his sister! I'm allowed to insult him."
She rolled her eyes. "I think he's on this floor, c'mon."
Following her up the stairs, I motioned her to go into Sam's room first, throwing my thumbs up for encouragement. "Sam?"
I peered into the room to see my brother lip locked with a blond, waaay out of his league with her tongue practically shoved down his throat. I shuddered at the sight, looking away as soon as I could.
"Mikaela!"
"Is that your girlfriend?" the blond questioned.
"Ex." the dark haired girl corrected before leaving the room.
Sam gasped once his eyes met mine. "Bethany!"
I rose my palm up for him to shut up and used the other to cover my mouth. "Ugh, don't say anything you dirty cheater. How could you do that to Mikaela? That's low Sam, really low." I exited the room, calling after my friend, "Mikaela! Wait up!"
"Wait!" I heard Sam yell out. "I can explain everything!"
Just as I reached her, there were strange sounds coming from my twin's dorm room, as if someone was being thrown around, the groans of pain following. I exchanged confused looks with Mikaela before rushing back into his room, opening the door.
"Yo Sam, your bed buddy, Alice-" the boy who I assumed to be Sam's roommate was cut off by the blond who's tongue literally was a metallic whip. Decepticon I thought in my head, the red warning sirens flaring off, telling me to run as fast as possible.
My twin landed on the ground, screaming loudly before Mikaela threw the metal box the tiny Decepticon was in but she dodged it.
"Sam!" I grabbed my brother's arm, pulling him forcefully off the ground and escaped from his room, closing the door behind us. "We send you off to college and this is what you do! Way to waste money, Sam!"
"What the hell was that? What the effing hell was that?" the boy behind us was questioning frantically. "She's coming!"
"She's an alien robot! You gotta move." Sam ordered, grabbing his shoulder and dragging him along.
Mikaela busted through the doors of the library and the rest of us followed in tow. We hid once we got inside, taking a breather as people in the library gave us strange looks.
"Oh, my God! Oh, my God! I can't believe I almost had sex with her in my dream!" the boy exclaimed, before he glanced at me. "Who are you?"
"Bethany Witwicky," I held out my hand, "older, better twin of Sam."
He looked at me in disbelief. "Twins? Older?"
"Why does everyone think he's the older twin?" I question to no one in particular.
The dark haired girl turned to look at Sam with a sharp glare. "I can tell that you really missed me a lot, Sam!"
"Look, it's not my fault, okay?"
"It's not your fault!?"
"Listen! Listen, I'm a victim."
I raised my eyebrow at him. "Of what? A blond Dec- alien girl? Really Sam?"
"A little eighty pound girl?"
My twin defends, "It was like getting humped in the neck by a mountain lion!"
"You didn't have to put your tongue in her mouth!" I shuddered at the memory of what happened moments earlier.
"I didn't catch your name over those two arguing so loud." I made sure to make my statement loud, earning a glare from my brother and Mikaela.
He took my hand, shaking it and smiled politely. "It's Leo and since we're on a first name basis now, can you please explain to me what the effing fricker frack is going on?!"
I took a deep breath. "It's a very, very long story. All I can tell you right now, alien blondie girl is a no-no," he opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off, "no matter how hot she is."
"I hope you had a lot of fun, because this," Mikaela gestured between herself and Sam, "this is over."
"She violated your orifice with her nasty alien probe? She did it? She went in there? All her little embryo alien babies are gestating and hatching inside of you. They're growing right now, probably! You need to vomit it right now." Leo ordered as the vivid picture he created was now in my mind, causing me to want to puke myself. "Yak it! Yak it right now!"
The dark haired girl glanced up at him in revolt. "Who are you?"
"I'm Leonardo Ponce De Leon Spitz." my brother's roommate introduces. "Okay? I'm the key to this. The aliens, they want me 'cause of my site."
"What sight-" my sentence was cut short by an explosion and someone starting to shoot at us. I felt Sam's hand latch around my arm, pulling me away from the range of fire. It was nice to know he didn't forget his manners while at his short time in college.
"Bennie you first." Mikaela pointed to the movable stairs that was below us and I nodded. I slowly made my way down the steps and screamed when I saw my brother fall.
"Sam!" I rushed towards him as he groaned, struggling to get off the ground.
"I'm fine, I'm fine but we have to run." I helped him to his feet just as the Decepticon dropped from the floor above us. Sam pushed me underneath one of the tables while Leo and Mikaela were underneath another one.
"Mikaela!" my twin yelled out just as the Decepticon started firing at the bookshelves, causing people to scream and rush out of the library.
We managed to crawl over to them, pushing books out of the way in the process. The bot kept firing at the tables behind us as we were able to rest ourselves on a wall. However, our temporary relaxation came to halt when it fired a the wall next to us. Sam grabbed both mine and Mikaela's, dragging us out of the library with Leo right behind us.
Running away from the Decepticon, we made our way towards the cars were Mikaela ordered my twin to grab the metal box that she had thrown out the window. As the dark haired girl started hot wiring the car, Leo and I sat in the back seat, Sam sitting in the front.
"Oh my god, you know how to hot wire a car? So hot," Leo commented, making me roll my eyes.
Sam pointed in front of us where Alice was stalking towards us. "Drive, drive, drive! She's right there! She's right there!"
Mikaela continued trying to get the plugs to work before the Decepticon shoved the metallic whip - with her creepy human tongue still at the top - into the windshield, breaking the windows and started attacking Sam.
Once she finally got it to work, she backed the car out, swerving the car around as my twin tried fighting off the bot.
"Kiss this, bitch." the dark haired girl said before ramming it into a lamp post, hopefully killing it. Just for good measure, as she pulled away from it, she ran it over.
"Okay, so what else don't I know, all right?" Leo asked in a panicked voice. "Since you guys forgot to mention some minor details."
I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. Sam answered, "That thing you saw back there, that was the little baby-"
"Mikaela watch out!" I screamed as a helicopter appeared out of nowhere, flying a little too close to the road, almost turning us and the car into a smoothie. The memory of Sam, Mikaela and I hanging over the aircraft by Optimus popped into my head except Bumblebee was there to save us. I couldn't see him anywhere.
Suddenly, something thick, sharp and silver stabbed through the roof of the car and started to lift us off into the air, causing Leo to screech next to me. "Oh, my God! Oh, my God!" Then a car ran into ours, causing us to spin, my twin falling out of his seat.
"SAM!" Mikaela and I yelled as I practically jumped over to the front seat, reaching for my brother's hand. I held onto his arm tightly, pulling him back into the car, the dark haired girl helping.
He nodded at me, smiling gratefully. "Thanks sis-"
"I don't want to die! We're doing to die!" I covered my ears as my twin's roommate continued to screech in my ear. The helicopter lifted us high into the air before dropping us.
A scream ripped through my throat, my heart frantically beating out of control as the car collided with the ground, the airbags attempting to cushion our fall. I felt my head bang against the back of the passenger's seat, causing me to wince.
Before we could even recover from the blow, a saw sliced the car in half, making us all yell in fright. The two sides of the car tipped over and just as I was about to get out, my eyes were met with Starscream's and then when I glanced over, I gasped. Those red eyes that I thought would never glow again were bright and they were vibrant, full of blood lust. Megatron.
Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, my thoughts were distressed and full of anxiety because I knew that if we were in the hands of Megatron, we weren't going to survive.
Sam picked me up out of the car then his eyes widened. "Bennie, your head." I felt the area and looked at my hands that were now red and sticky.
"I'm okay," I assured him, waving off his worry.
"Come here boy." Megatron growled and my twin followed his orders, raising his hands in defense. "Closer."
"You remember me, don't you?" the Decepticon questioned as I watched my younger brother cautiously walk down the stairs.
Sam nods. "I did what you said, okay? Just don't hurt us." he glanced over at me, eyeing my injury.
"Shut up!" Megatron snarled, swiping my brother and sending him flying over the railing onto a stone slab.
"Sam!" Mikaela shrieked as the two held me back from jumping over to save my brother.
Bee where are you? Falling asleep wasn't really an option, especially since we could be two seconds away from being pulverized by Megatron.
The Decepticon pinned Sam to the stone slab with metal pinchers. "It feels good to grab your flesh! I am going to kill you slowly, painfully, but first, we have some delicate work to do."
"Over my dead body." I growled, struggling against their grip, my elderly sister instincts kicking in.
My twin yelped and cried in pain as Megatron continued to peer over him as if he was some type of patient. "How I could snap your limbs off! Doctor, examine this alien specimen." I looked at the dark haired girl in bewilderment. Doctor? If anything, Megatron was no where near being a doctor, let alone having a PhD.
I gasped in shock, watching as a tiny Deception transformed and jumped onto my twin's stomach, examining him. Two more flew down before a worm like bot perched itself on his middle. I squinted at the Decepticon as another pried open Sam's mouth, having the worm bot slide into his mouth, slightly poke out of his nose and then escape back out the way it came.
Out of all the disgusting things today, this had to go on the number one list.
"Bethany...?" I held my stomach to keep in the food I had on the plane, covering my mouth with my other hand.
The 'doctor' bot used one of it's optics to show flashing images of Sam's memories with strange symbols that looked vaguely familiar.
"That's what I'm seeing in my head." Sam stated.
"These symbols can lead us to the Energon source." the Decepticon said as the tiny 'doctor' bot exclaimed, "We must have the brain on the table! Chop chop!"
My twin's face paled. "B-brain?" I felt my blood run cold at the sight of watching my brother die right in front of me and his brain getting cut out. "What does he mean by my brain?"
The large Decepticon neared closer to his face. "Well, you have something on your mind, something I need."
"Woah, woah, okay, I know you're you're pissed. I know you're pissed because I tried to kill you and it's completely understandable. If somebody tried to kill me, I'd be upset, too." as Sam was trying to save his life, the doctor bot started peeking into his nose and into his mouth, pulling his lips to the sides. "I think that we have an opportunity here to start anew and develop our relationship and see where it leads us, okay? So, you just call Doctor Inspector off," the bot's hand turned into a saw, causing his voice to turn louder and scared, "and let's just talk for five seconds!"
Just as I was going to jump down and save my brother despite my stomach and head pain, something busted through the ceiling and once I saw who it was, a sigh of relief escaped my lips. It was Optimus.
Another burst through the windows caused me to wip my head around and I saw the familiar yellow Autobot. "Bee," a smile automatically appeared on my face.
"Go, go, go!" Leo grabbed mine and Mikaela's hand as the Autobots began firing at Megatron, leading us away from the battle.
"Bethany!" at the sound of his voice, I stopped running to look over my shoulder where the blond was rushing towards me. His bright blue eyes looked over my forehead and he was going to question what happened but the sounds of metal swiping against metal brought him out of it.
He clutched my hand tightly, trying to pull me with him but my feet were glued to the ground. "We've got to go-"
"No," I shoke my head, "not without my brother."
"Wait! Bethany, wait!" despite his contains yells for me to come back, I didn't listen to him and jumped down from the stairs. I found Sam who gave me a look as if to say I was crazy.
I threw my arms around his neck. "I'm not going anywhere without you little bro."
He grinned at me as we rushed to Optimus who already transformed. He drove as fast as possible and ended turning a dirt driveway. Sam was looking out the window and right as the Decepticon approached us, he called out, "Here he comes!"
I opened the door just before he transformed, Sam and I rolling out of the truck. "Hide children!" the Autobot ordered, my feet pounding against the ground, running away from the fight between the two brothers.
"Where can we hide?!" I asked Sam who pulled against a cluster of trees, with an opening for us to watch the two bots attacked each other, dirt flying everywhere. From our spot, it looked like Optimus was winning, until the Decepticon cheated, calling for his minions.
"Decepticons!" he ordered and the helicopter that was cirling around in the air, transformed and Starscream landed on the ground, his fist morphed into a cannon.
At the sight of the Decepticon speeding towards us, Sam and I took off, rushing past the trees and almost tripping in the process. Optimus managed to keep them off our tail but it was an unfair battle with two against one.
I had faith in the leader, knowing he would do anything to protect us. A blast that exploded at our feet caused Sam and I to flip over a fallen tree, which provided the perfect cover.
"There is another source of Energon hidden on this planet." Megatron informed the Autobot. "The boy could lead us to it."
Gulping in shock, I watched as Optimus was pushed onto the ground and then the two hit his chin.
"OPTIMUS!" my twin and I screamed, scared for his life. Megatron shot a huge blast at him, sending the Autobto flying back towards us, leading Sam and I to run from the impact.
"Is the future of our race not worth a single human life?" the Decepticon asks, his arm transforming into a large blade.
I cupped my hands over my mouth. "Optimus, you've got to get up!"
"Up! Get up!" Sam yelled.
"You'll never stop at one!" the leader replied confidently, standing up, his fists also morphing into two large blades. "I'll take you all on!"
He proceeded to attack the two Decepticons while Sam tried to shield the dirt and debris flying towards us.
Another bot was sneaking up into the battle and I thought it was going to take Optimus by surprise but he jumped onto him with ease, ripping his head apart easily. "Piece of tin! Sam, Bethany," he called out looking for us, "where are you?"
I was going to respond and flail my hands in the air, wanting to go home until Megatron's blade stabbed through his chest.
My eyes widened and my entire body froze. "NO!" Sam screamed from beside me as I watched the Autobot fall to ground.
"Children..." Optimus used every bit of strength he had left to glance over at his, his optics fadding, "run..."
"Optimus, no, no, no, Optimus! OPTIMUS!" tears raced down my checks. Sam's hand latched around mine as he dragged me away from the scene despite my screaming protests. We couldn't just leave him there! There has to be something, anything we could've done!
I noticed the familiar Autobots pear into view, transforming and avenging their fallen leader. The door to the Camaro popped open and Sam put me into the driver's seat before sitting on the passenger's side.
The tears wouldn't stop spilling from my eyes, as the scene of Optimus dropping to the ground replayed in my mind over and over. I sobbed into my hands, using my sleeves to wipe away whatever I could, which was more tears and dirt.
Bee and two other Autobots who I assumed were twins pulled into an abandoned manor of some sorts. I was the first to jump out of the car, walking away from everyone. I knew I couldn't go very far without someone coming after me, but I needed space.
After the countless times Sam and I were in danger, if it wasn't for Optimus, we'd be dead. I really thought he would've had a chance against the two... but I guess when Megatron came back, he came back stronger.
"Listen, Sam, I know what I'm gonna do, man. Look, I'm just going to go to the authorities and tell them the truth." I turned my head at the sound of Leo's voice as my brother frustratingly ran his fingers through his hair. "Like, I had nothing to do with this. So, I'm not an accomplice."
My twin looked at him, annoyed with his attitude. "You wanted the real deal? Well, that's what this is. Wake up! You're in the middle of it! You want to run? Go ahead! No one's stopping you." It was weird to see him snap at someone so harshly but I knew why he was so angry. I watched him storm off away from Leo and the two twin Autobots, Skids and Mudflap.
For a moment, I wanted to go after my brother and try and comfort him but I knew he needed his space as well.
I made my way into the underground part of the manor where I saw Sam and Leo go into earlier. I found a desk and chair underneath the bridge but I decided to lean against the railing. Sitting on the ground, I slipped my feet through the railings, swinging my feet back and forth as I leaned me head against my arms.
I was so exhausted that it made me tired to cry or even move my fingers. Everything hurt. My head. My legs. My arms. If I could have, I would've suffered more to save Optimus. I can't believe I just stood there, watching him get taken down while I could've at least distracted the Decepticons or at least do something.
I heard footsteps approaching the bridge and they stopped next to me. The person slipped beside me and I knew who it was when they took my hand, slipping it into theirs and intertwining our fingers together.
Suddenly, a sob escaped my mouth, the tears streaming down my face. Bee wrapped his arms around me, letting me bury my face into his shoulder and cry. The blond rested his face in the side of my neck, not saying anything.
It wasn't until I felt something wet on my neck that I realized Sam and I weren't the only ones mourning the loss of Optimus. He was practically a father figure to Bumblebee and they've been with each other for as long as they've been on Earth.
As soon as I felt Bee start weeping, I ran my fingers through his hair, trying to comfort him as best as I could. "I'm so sorry Bee." I squeezed him tightly.
He took a deep breath before pulling away from my neck. His eyes were bloodshot and his face was red, his messy blond locks stuck to his face.
Trying to be strong for both of us, I cupped his face, brushing the tears away from his checks. He leaned his forehead against mine, sniffling.
"I couldn't imagine if I lost you today, too." he said. "I wouldn't last any longer."
I shoke my head. "Don't say that Bee. I'm not going anywhere... and... and about the fight-"
"No, it's my fault. I knew that there was something between us, how I could see you in your dreams and how I felt... gravitated towards you. I should've known that you and I bonded but you were right, I was too blind to see it."
I softly kissed him, tenderly stroking his check. "It's alright Bee."
"Did you really mean what you said? I make you happy?"
"Of course you do." I managed a smile. "You always will."
Wrapping my arms around him, I nuzzled my face into his neck, allowing him to hold me in his lap. He rested his head on top of mine, playing around with my hair that was kind of soothing in a way. Bee kissed the top of my head as we sat there holding each other, wishing that this day never happened.
