Ocean Girls: Just Add Water

Chapter 8

Author's note/Disclaimer: I don't own H20: Just Add Water or Ocean Girl. Set during Season 3 of H20: Just Add Water with Ash and Emma added in. Also Set during the beginning of the Second season Of Ocean Girl.

Bella after a moment's hesitation dove into the water after her friend. She swam quickly to catch up to Neri. Neri pulled herself into the life raft. Bella stayed hidden in the water in case Neri needed her help.

Neri took her canteen of Water off of her neck. She then unscrewed the top and pressed it to the man's lips. He began to drink thirstily. He then opened his eyes and Saw Neri.

He grabbed her by her forearms. "Who are you? Where did you come from?" He demanded.

Bella saw him and then with Charley's help knocked into the bottom of the Boat. Neri jumped back into the water and Swam away back to the Island with Charley and Bella.

"That was too Close Neri." Bella told her.

Neri looked at her confused, "What too close?"

"I mean." Bella began searching for the words that would make Neri understand what she meant. "That man could have hurt, You, or me, or even Charley."

Neri opened her mouth to Reply when Jason and Brett appeared. "Hey Neri!" Brett said. "Hey Bella!"

"Hey guys." Bella responded.

Jason held out what looked to be a necklace to Neri. "Brett and I found this closed up in a flower on the Island. We thought you might like to have it."

"Yeah, With all that was going on With Bella. We forgot to give it to you." Brett informed her.

"Thank you Jason." Neri replied as she out the necklace on. "Thank you Brett."

Bella then proceded to tell them what had happened that day when Neri went to Rescue the man lost at sea.

"Are you crazy Neri?!" Jason demanded. "You could've been caught."

"That's what I told her." Bella responded. "If Charley and I hadn't been there. She might have gotten hurt or worse."

"I am okay." Neri said putting her hand on Jason's arm.

"But what if you weren't?!" Jason asked her.

Bella smiled knowingly at the two. It was obvious that Jason Liked Neri and vice versa.

Bella's smile faded as she thought back to her friends Emma, Rikki, Cleo, Lewis, Ash, and Zane. What were they doing right now? Dis they miss her? Were they worried about her at all? What would they think of her just leaving like that without any warning?

At least they were safe and Will wouldn't find out their secret. She really missed her friends and her parents; but it was for the best. She told herself trying to convince herself.

Later that Night...

It was a full moon that night. Bella and Neri sat together near the waters edge talking. When all of a sudden a tentacle made of water grabbed onto Bella.

Bella shrieked as she was dragged into the Ocean. She then changed into Mermaid form and was Pulled by the Water Tentacle as fast as she could swim as a mermaid towards Mako Island.

"Bella!" Neri shouted after her as she dove into the water trying to find a way to help her mermaid friend.

"Charley Bella in trouble, We have to help!" She called out to him in her mind.

Meanwhile on The Gold Coast of Australia...

It was also a Full Moon and Emma had also been grabbed by the water Tentacle. "AHHH!" Emma screamed.

"Emma!" Cleo and Rikki yelled in unison. The two girls dove into the water and after the tentacle. Trying to do what they could to Free their friend. They got to the Moon Pool and Saw Emma and...

"Bella!?" Rikki and Cleo said surprised to see their friend who had been missing for weeks. They then noticed another girl... a human girl trying to free Bella from the water Tentacle. Rikki and Cleo hurried to try to free their two Mermaid friends.

The Full moon then disappeared from the top of the volcano and the tentacle disappeared releasing the two blonde haired mermaids.
