The Call for Revenge

While waiting for news of the group that was sent to capture the Vongola children, Abramo Furfante situated himself in the study neighboring the room the Vongola were being held. Furfante skimmed the book shelves that housed books of previous generations of the Vongola. It didn't particularly interest him, but he needed something to do while waiting for someone to deliver the news of the excursion. The entire time, he could not stop thinking about gathering the rings for his plan. He was about to grab a book to entertain himself for a while longer until he heard a short knock on the door, grabbing his attention away from the book shelves.

"Enter," Furfante commanded. The door opened to reveal a man in a suit that Furfante identified as a simple grunt. He carried a thin folder in his hands. "Yes? What is it?"

"Sir, I have news of the attempt to capture the Vongola children."

"Yes? What were the results?" The man began shuffling his feet, his hands trembling as he opened the folder.

"Unfortunately," he began, stuttering slightly, "the children escaped." Furfante was furious to say the least.

"Didn't I say I expected SUCCESS?!" he shouted, his voice escalating as his anger boiled. "What happened?"

"Sir, apo-pologies. Contacts within the police force reported that the children came into contact with our men and the children were able to defeat them. They escaped before anyone could witness where they went."

"You're telling me the public didn't see them at all?"

"Uh, yes sir. The university entered a lock down state where everyone was locked inside rooms away from windows. The staff only informed the police and waited for them to arrive."
"So…" Furfante began, his anger tensing his voice, "you mean to tell me that the children escaped with no one witnessing where they went. Is that correct?"

"Yes-yes sir." The man began tensing up, his hands tightly gripped around the folder and papers.

"Damn it!" Furfante slammed the palm of his hand against the book shelf to his left, the shelf shaking and causing the man to fumble around with the papers in hand. "Tell every available personnel to search for the children! Search every corner of Italy and make sure that they are found! If anyone finds them, inform me with their location and make sure that they are securely captured! Is that understood?"

"Yes sir!" the grunt responded, straightening himself to try and become sturdy against Furfante's anger.

"Good. Oh…"

"Sir?"

"I was you to gather the Siga Shi" The grunt grew wide eyed, his entire mind clouded with thoughts of the Sagi Shi gathering within his vicinity.

"Sir, are you positive?"

"Yes, I am. I won't have my time wasted on imbeciles who can't capture a group of seven teenagers." Furfante, still fuming, gathered himself slightly, straightening his tie and the collar of his suit before walking toward the door of the study.

"Sir, where are you going?"

"I'm going to converse with the Vongola Boss. I feel like knowing about the situation about their children will make him loosen his lips."

In the makeshift holding area, Tsuna was the sole person awake of the Vongolas, save for Hibari who was technically inhibited by anesthetics. The other guardians were asleep after many hours of worry and frustration. They were still dumbfounded by the sudden attack on the Vongola and how helpless they were under the power of Furfante's men. The events ran through Tsuna's mind several times, but at least he knew the children were safe.

I can't do anything but hope that they're still safe. Seated in Indian position, Tsuna laid his back against the wall of the room as Kyoko laid her head on his lap, sleeping through her worries. So long as Tsuna was by her side, she felt content and secure, no matter who came to threaten the family. Tsuna glanced down and smiled at Kyoko, brushing her hair with his hand, one hand elevated to keep the chain from brushing against her head. He wanted to return to the normal days of spending time with the family, but those days weren't in sight for a while.

As he sat in thought, the door creaked as it swung to allow Furfante inside. Tsuna moved his glance upward and, at the sight of Furfante, glared at him. Furfante took notice of the glare but did nothing in response, other than turn to one of the guards in the room and taking a gun from the holster. Furfante, gun in hand, walked over to the Vongola and stood in front of Tsuna, Furfante looking down on the Vongola Boss and Kyoko. At that time, Kyoko began to awaken from her sleep, her eyes slowly opening as the light of the room tempted her to return to sleep. It took a few seconds before her eyes opened fully. She wanted to turn her head and feel safe with Tsuna's gaze, but instead she was greeted by a dark man standing over her, a gun in his hand. It took a moment to realize that the man standing before her was Furfante, tensing her limbs and paralyzing her with fear.

What is he doing here?

"I see you're quite comfortable." Tsuna didn't respond. Furfante, uncaring, crouched down and held his glance eye level with Tsuna. "Well Vongola, I was wondering how your children were doing, but I see that my men are as idiotic as I held them to be." At the mention of the children, Tsuna's eyes shifted from anger to curiosity, glad to hear that they escaped from his men again. "I can't stand the idiots that believe they are of some worth, but I can't do everything by myself now can I?"

"Anyways," Furfante continue, pulling the gag down from Tsuna, "I want you to tell me where I might be able to find your children. After all, I find it hard to believe that you don't have any safe houses when you're in the mafia business."

"I have nothing to tell you," Tsuna responded, glaring down Furfante. Furfante didn't like the answer.

"I see. I wonder if you'll change your mind with some 'persuasion'." As he said that, his arm swung slightly and the gun in his hand was now pointed at Kyoko. Kyoko's eyes grew wide and her body froze under the sight of the barrel. Tsuna, on the other hand, was furious.

"Don't you threaten her! She has nothing to do with this!"

"Ahh, but sadly she does. After all, she is a member of your family. Now," he said, pushing the barrel closer to her head, "tell me what I want to know!" Instead of responding to his demand, Tsuna pulled his head back and then forward rapidly, head butting Furfante square in the forehead. Furfante grunted and stood up, the gun in hand as he stumbled backwards, pain swelling in his head. Tsuna ignored the pain he felt.

"I said don't threaten her!" he shouted through bared teeth. Furfante gritted his teeth and glared at Tsuna furiously. Kyoko sat up in a panic and moved closer to Tsuna. In a moment of anger, Furfante pulled the gun up and aimed at Tsuna's leg, firing a metal bullet. The loud bang of the shot startled the sleeping Vongolas awake, Tsuna yelling in pain as the bullet entered his leg, blood pouring from the wound. Kyoko stared in horror at the wound. Furfante rubbed his hand against his forehead as he watched Tsuna's suffering.

"Be fortunate it wasn't your life!" Furfante exclaimed, returning the gun to the guard he took it from and taking his leave of the room, the screams of the Vongola Boss echoing as the door closed.

Author's Note: I feel as though I copped out with this chapter x.x Anyways, I did a small chapter with Tsuna and Furfante. I'm gonna try and get the next one up early because I feel bad for giving out a bad chapter.
