I'm so sorry I took so long to update! I just got busy with school, I got a new boyfriend, and I completely lost my muse until I met him! Anyways, here's the first piece of the next installment!

I still don't own LoK or Anastasia!

"Omashu!" Korra yelled with a jolt, and the other three jolted awake in confusion. "Iroh's at Omashu!"

"What? How do you know?" Lin asked going to her.

"Aang told me! He said that he healed Iroh's bending as a favor that he owed to Zuko, and that he told Iroh to go to Omashu!" Korra said excitedly, and Mako huffed.

"And how exactly did Aang heal General Iroh's bending?" he asked grouchily.

"I went into Avatar State in my sleep. It was something that Kyoshi wanted me to watch," Korra said quickly, "While she showed me what she wanted to, Aang went off to heal Iroh while he was asleep! It doesn't make any sense to me, but apparently the Avatar State can project itself?"

"You sound unsure," Lin said narrowing her eyes, "What's wrong?"

"Aang said he showed Iroh the fight between Fire Lord Zuko and Azula," Korra said putting a finger on her chin. "He said that Iroh wasn't the only one afflicted in that manner. I just wish I knew what he meant!"

"We'll figure it out when we get to Omashu in three days' time," Lin said nodding. "Right now, we need to get going."

"Iroh? What's wrong?" Kailee asked worried as she jerked awake at Iroh's astonished yell.

He practically leapt off the makeshift bed and took a deep breath before firebending into the center of the empty dance floor. Kailee stared at him in shock, and he sent up a mass of flames as though he were releasing pent up frustrations and chi. The look in his eyes was full of relief, and there was so much fire within them that it astonished Kailee just how much there was. He turned to her and pulled her close to him, kissing her lips and holding them captive for a long while.

"Iroh!" she gasped as he finally pulled back to let her breath. "What happened? How did you get your bending back? This is wonderful!"

"Avatar Aang," he breathed, "Through the dream. I'm not sure how, but I do know that I'm supposed to meet Avatar Korra in Omashu. Come, we need to get going to make it in time. I get the feeling they'll be borrowing Appa to get there quickly."

"Iroh, wait!" Kailee yelled as he ran to get dressed so they could be on their way. "Blast it, you bloody firebender! Get back here!"

But he wasn't listening for a second as he quickly got dressed and ran towards the Ostrich horses that he'd acquired. He held out a hand to help her mount, and she scowled before mounting her steed. He mounted his own ostrich horse and urged it forwards, steering it towards Omashu. Kailee followed confused, but remained silent since everyone thought that she was a mute in this town.

They looked back over their home of six months as they reached its edge at sunrise. It had come to feel like home for her, and it almost was her home. But she knew in her heart that anywhere Iroh went would be her home, not just one place that she'd stayed in for six months. She held her pinky finger and thumb down and the other fingers up as she held her hand out towards the city.

"What was that?" Iroh asked as he turned his steed away from the city again.

"I'm not sure, but it felt like something I needed to do," Kailee replied softly, "Let's go. I'd like to get there quickly if at all possible."

"So, where are the ones who were hurt?" Korra asked worriedly, and Iroh's former boss went and led the Avatar to those who had been hurt – a massive two thousand people whose bending had been taken away before Iroh had intervened for the firebender assistant of Tarala.

"Tarala, I think her name was," he said gravely, "She was yelling at one of my workers, as though she had taken his bending away as well. She kept calling him something, and kept yelling that even though she was tempted to kill him, he should cling to life in terror at her abilities. She-she bloodbent him… he was barely alive when I had a couple of my other workers take him back to his home."

"We'll find that one, you heal them," Lin said before she went towards the exit.

"Which way does he live?" Mako asked, and the prison warden blinked.

"I think he made his home in the old abandoned mansion, but I'm not sure exactly. Nobody really goes in that part of town anymore," he replied, and Mako sped off towards the abandoned mansion.

When they got there, the only signs that Iroh and Kailee had been living there were the lack of dust in some locations, and a few burn marks on the outside from the firebender felon's rage. Mako was about to go in when Lin held up a hand.

"We'll need to stay in the outer halls while I use seismic waves to find out just who is where," she said firmly, and Mako nodded.

They went in, and she stomped on the ground firmly and held that position for a few minutes as she absorbed her surroundings.

"They're gone," she said gravely, "but they left something behind. A few something's actually."

She walked calmly to her left and removed what Mako would never have noticed from under a location at a table. She opened the box to reveal the royal heirloom of the crown princes and princesses of the Fire Nation, something that Mako had no idea what it was. It was then that she led him to a dance floor and ran towards the center of it to investigate something.

"What is that?" Mako asked as the stench of decomposing messenger hawk hit his nose.

"A dead messenger hawk and a bomb," she said gravely. "Clearly someone wanted Iroh dead before he left here. He must have left because he felt threatened by the bomb, firebender, and bloodbender combined. At this point, our best bet is to go to Omashu in a month's time. There's no way he'll be able to reach there in a week, let alone three days."

"And the gold thing?"

"The royal heirloom of the Fire Nation," she said gravely. "He must have amnesia, he wouldn't have left it here otherwise."

"Great," Mako sighed, "Just what we need, one mute nonbender with amnesia and a famous firebender crown prince General with amnesia."

Wow, there's spell-checker on here now! But now it's pulling out red lines for all the names and styles of bending... Oh well.

I'm stuck on later chapters, so ideas are gladly accepted!
