I still don't own Legend of Korra nor any characters therein!

A big huge thank you to all my reviewers in this story!

"Iroh!" Kailee screamed, and Tarala freely used bloodbending upon her cousin with a mad cackle.

Kailee was dodging as quickly as she possibly could, even though she was a little stockier than she would have liked for this battle. She thought back to the fight between Zuko and Azula. Katara had been there, Iroh had said, and it had been Katara who had defeated Azula. But how was she supposed to win against a bloodbender if she was a nonbender?

She rushed forwards to Iroh, not caring anymore, but was stopped by her cousin bloodbending her ankle into such a wrong angle that Kailee screamed and tripped in pain. She forced herself to her feet and began trying to dodge, weave, or to do anything to get Iroh away from Tarala. She rushed forwards again, feeling a few bones and muscles break and tear within her, and she dodged backwards. But it was of no use, as Tarala threw her onto Iroh's unmoving frame roughly, and then pushed her just out of arm's reach.

Right as Tarala was about to remove Kailee's memories as well, something long and pink rammed the bloodbender around her waist and she was thrust upon the ground in a heap.

"Oh no you don't!" Korra yelled as she rushed forwards to take Tarala's bending away.

"Korra! Iroh! He's hurt!" Kailee screamed desperately, "Please! He'll die!"

Korra stopped mid-step and used airbending to twist herself around and then firebending to speed herself towards the fallen General. She used waterbending to encase Tarala in ice, and then earthbending to make sure that she didn't escape from her prisons.

"Where?" Korra asked gravely, and Kailee struggled to move. "Where?"

"Blood… head," Kailee wheezed before collapsing into hysterical sobbing, with the only word coming out through it all being Iroh's name.

Korra moved to Iroh and put her ear to his forehead to hear his blood. But what she heard was an astonishing flood of it on his brain, and she quickly went into Avatar State to heal him. Giving him back his bending was the easy part, but bending the blood back through to the rest of his body was extremely difficult, and she had to work for a very long time to accomplish her goals.

"Oh, no," Lin breathed as they arrived thirty minutes after Korra had broken up the Agni Kai fiasco.

"What?" Mako asked confused until he saw the two motionless bodies on the ground. "No!"

"Iroh!" Ikki yelled as she rushed forwards.

"This must be the infamous Tarala," Lin scowled as she used earthbending to restrain the bloodbender even tighter within the ground. "I'm tempted to just bury her six feet under."

"No," Korra said through grit teeth, the voices of all the avatars coming through as well. "Come on, come on…"

Iroh's head moved to the side like a wayward beach ball, and she left Avatar state with a huff. She wiped her brow, which had started sweating badly, and sat back to take a breather. But the breather was short lived since she needed to go back to heal Iroh's injury, and she continued without another interruption for a long while.

Kailee hated this feeling. Everything felt cold, distant, foreign to her now. She could feel that she was alive still, as well as one of the two things stringing her to life. But the other thing wasn't a part of her, at least not physically. But she could hear Korra's voice coaxing him to cry, grunt, yell in pain, anything to let her know that he was alive.

The cold seemed to thicken until at long last, just when she thought it could get no colder, they were brought into a warm area. She could hear people scurrying around and trying to fix things, and then she felt a piercing pain in her ankle alongside what had been twisted so crudely.

"Tarala, daughter of Amon, as Avatar I take away your bending as punishment for the crimes that you have committed," Kailee heard Korra say in the distance, and then a scream of rage was heard.

"I'll get you for this, Avatar!" she heard Tarala scream angrily, "I'll get you like my father got Aang because of Yakone!"

"Your father and Yakone were criminals," she heard a male say darkly. "Firebenders, take her to the Fire Nation Prison for treason against the royal family."

"Fire Lord, I'm afraid that I have both good and very disturbing news," she heard an elderly female say, and her head erupted in pain.

"Be careful, Kailee" the elderly voice said, and Kailee saw that she was young again, and that there was an old woman in front of her.

But Kailee accidentally spilt the medicine anyways, and the waterbender sighed before picking up the remnants of what had been in the bottle. After that, Kailee recalled the room smelling like that medicine for as long as she could remember every time she went into that room afterwards.

"Gran Gran," Kailee tried to say, and heard a few sets of feet shuffling.

"What?" she heard the elder ask in astonishment.

"Necklace," Kailee tried to say, but she couldn't hear what was coming out.

But she could feel the rustling of her clothes slightly as the elderly waterbender found the necklace in question. She heard a gasp and then a scream of alarm. Kailee remained motionless after that, and let the medics do their job.

"Master Katara? The news?" she heard a woman ask worriedly.

"Kailee," the elder rasped. "My Kailee… oh my Kailee!"

"This woman is Kailee?" a myriad of voices asked astonished.

"Yes," Katara reported with tears dripping onto Kailee's chest. "and she is with child."

"What?!"

"Whose?!"

"Master Katara," a male said entering gravely, "General Iroh will only say one word when we ask for a response."

"Kailee?" Katara asked, and Kailee heard a step.

"Y-yes," he stammered, "But she's dead."

"Come, help me bring this one to him," Katara said, and Kailee felt herself being lifted up in a blanket.
