Welcome all to my newest project: Yugioh: The Desert Fighters. This will be a combined story of Yugioh, Saints Row (The Rebooted 2022 game) and Cyberpunk 2077.. I'll once again use cards made by me, others and ones only seen in the anime and manga series of all eras of Yugioh (Except for Sevens). This story will follow all of the rules of the OCG/TCG. Cards that were seen all over the eras of Yugioh will be seen (Except Sevens) will be seen, including ones used only the manga and anime as well and cards made be me & other writers. Enjoy this dueling story and everything inside of it. Also, this small story will use the combined and current OCG & TCG banlists (OCG Current: April 2023) - (TCG Current: June 2023) to make it more intresting as well (If new ban lists get released, I'll check them and see what I might have to change). As always, this story is dedicated to my mom who I lost in 2021, my uncle that passed on in 2023 and for Kazuki Takahashi himself, the creator/father of Yugioh. This is for all three of you!

Chapter 1: Heart of the Underdog

The great desert City of Santo Ileso has been through a lot in the years. Back in the early 2020s, a violet gang battles against the gangs called The Saints, Los Panteros, The Idols and a defense group known as Marshall waged war against one another. Thanks to the Saints, each gang and Marshall were defeated and their gangs disbanded from the city and most left to start a new life and then the Saints took over the city. About 30 years after that, the Saints all left with their 4 leaders left the city to start a new life on the east coast. a lady known as The Boss, two guys named Kevin and Eli and a woman named Neemah all left where those four best friends. Their old HQ turned set unused for about 15 to 20 years until 2065. A police group called the World Fighters bought the building and the land around it as well so they can have training areas for their groups and store their vehicles as well and they helped run the city with the SIPD until the current day as well. The once run-down hotels and casinos were rebuilt and have been more better then they ever were. A major rumor is that before the Saints left the city, they buried a huge stash of drugs, money and weapons in a secret hidden bunker somewhere in the city and people have been looking for years now and no one has had any luck at doing so. Our newest tale begins in a small apartment about 5 miles away from the World Fighter HQ that I own with my roommate and best friend for life. My name is Cierra Mitchenson and I'm 21 and my roommate's name is Maria Cubert and we've both been in the same apartment ever since we graduated from high school and we've kep the place since we both graduated from a college here in San Ileso. We've both been friends since we were 8 and we always wanted to be with each other. I was a thin blonde-haired woman and I wore blue jeans and a red shirt that said SAN ILESO HIGH SENIOR POWER! on it. Maria wore a blue shirt and black jean shorts. I wore glasses to cover my beautiful blue eyes (Maria always said they were beautiful looking) I also had long, brown hair. My her right arm was covered in a sleeve of various flower tattoos and I had the words DRAGON LADY on the top of my chest above my girls (My parents let me get the work down for me graduating college. My roommate had no tattoos herself, but she wanted one some day. I was going over my duel monsters deck while she roommate was working on her laptop.
Maria looked at me and replied, "How's your deck, girl?"
I looked at her and replied, "As great as it will ever be, girl. I love the cards I use in and I feel like I can crush any deck that gets in my way."
She nodded and she went back to the laptop and she saved what she was working on and then she looked at me and replied, "You want to head to the Serena Sands Mall for some card hunting and shopping, girl? I just got paid and my gas tank is full as well.
I looked at my deck and then I resumed, "I will if I can bring my duel disk with as well. I never know when I would be challenged to a duel."
She smiled back and nodded and I grabbed my deck and I slid it into my purse I had nearby and I resumed, "Let's get going."
She nodded as we both got up and left the apartment.

The Serena Sands Mall was the main mall inside of the busy district area of the city. It had 3 floors and many places for fun and tasty foods and some of the best places to shop in California. We maded it to the 2nd floor Food Court and I bought 5 packs as the Card Sharkz Card shop and I tore though of all of them already and my roomie got us a couple of drinks.
Maria looked at me and replied, "Any good pulls?"
I looked through the cards and I smiled and replied, "Quite a few actually."
I showed her a couple and one was a Level 4 monster and a Level 6 monster and she saw the cards and she nodded and replied, "Those cards are trully your style and wil be perfect for your duels, girl."
I nodded as I shuffled the cards into my deck and then I smiled and replied, "What a day this was."
"STOP, THIEF!", a female's voiced yelled out and quickly turned around and saw someone wearing a pink shirt and pink shorts running by us while wearing a pink mask and holding a duel disk on his arm and a purse in his hands running pass us with a mall cop and a female woman running after him and people got out of the way as they ran pass us and then Maria replied, "That was odd and that guy looked like those Idol idiots that nearly ruined this city."
I only nodded and then replied, "Want to head back home and order pizza for supper tonight?"
My roomy smiled and we both got up and left the court.

We got outside and were heading to her car.
Maria then replied, "I wonder if that caught that creep that got away."
I was about to sat something and the mall guard, the woman and the wierdo were trapped in inside of a ugly pink car with red stripes all over and it said GLORY TO THE SMASHER on both sides of it in white letters was inside and they were blocking the guy from leaving and the guard had his key and Maria smiled and replied, "What a grab."
The masked guy then replied, "Give me back my keys, mall pig!"
The guard then replied, "Give back the purse and phone you stole from her and we'll talk about it after the backup get here, dude."
He only sighed and the woman then replied, "You are really getting on my last nerve, buddy! Give me back my stuff!"
He smiled as he went into his pocket and he got a small pink gun out and pointed at her and then replied, "How about this, lady!"
The cop looked at him and replied, "Don't you dare!"
He smiled fired a shot and it slammed into her right shoulder and she moaned as she collapsed to the ground and she was bleeding and she replied, "You son of a bitch!"
The cop looked at her and replied, "You'll be okay."
The masked guy dropped the gun in his car and we quickly ran over and the cops saw us and replied, "Leave, please. I have to help her."
She took out a cellphone and he dialed a number and resumed, "Greg here. Please call them and tell them to meet us in the southern Ramp area on the first floor. We have a wounded woman here."
He quickly hung up and he grabbed a small rag from his pocket and placed it on her shoulder and she moaned and then I looked at the masked duelist and replied, "You duel, dude?"
He nodded and replied, "Of course I do, lady. What's it to you?"
I nodded and resumed, "We have a duel right here and now and if I win, you give up without a fight."
He nodded and resumed, "if I win and I will do so, I get to get away clean and i'll give back her stuff to be nice."
I looked at the cop and he sighed and replied, "Do what you have to, kid. I have to tend to her before someone from the mall heads here."
I nodded to him and then I looked at the stranger and replied, "I won't duel you until you give me your name and task off that hideous mask."
He sighed and took tue mask off and it revealed a well-shavened face with a bald head and he had tattoos on both sides of his neck that said ADAM on one side and SMASHER on the other side and he replied, "I'm Marky D and I'm a scout for the Neon Smashers! We're looking for the Saints abandoned treasure hull and hopefully find the wrecked remains of Adam Smasher! We will bring him to normal some day!"
I looked back at Maria and she replied, "I can tell you more about that thing later on at home, Cierra. Crush this asshole."
I nodded and turned to him and we both activated our duel disks and as he drew 5 cards, My eyes began to glow white and then I held my head as the light died down and Maria then replied, "You okay, girl?"
I nodded and I drew 5 cards of my own.
"Game on!", the wierdo yelled out.

I looked at my hand and I nodded and resumed, "I'll set a monster and a card facedown and that's my turn."
The thief drew a card and resumed, "I'll show the true power of my deck, lady. I summon Cyber Soldier of Darkworld."
A dark android soldier appeared with a lone glowing red eye (ATK: 1,400). I kinda figured this would be a Machine deck I'd be facing. I really saw it coming from a mile away.
"Destroy her facedown monster!"
The eye of the android glowed as two beams of pure red light shot out and my monster, a Witch of the Black Forest appeared on the card (DEF: 1,200) and the lasers pierced through her and she let out a cackling laugh before shattering and then I took a card from my deck and added it to my hand.
"Your move, lady."
I drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Anarchist Monk Ranshin."
I played the card and a robed bearded monk with a wooden staff for a weapon appeared (ATK: 1,800) and I pointed and he aimed his weapon at the machine as a bolt of magic energy shot out and struck the dark android in the chest and sparks flew from it before exploded into hot pieces of metal.

"Your move now, sir."
The punk drew a new card and resumed, "I'll set a monster and a card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
I drew a new card and resumed, "I summon my Magician's Valkyria."
I played and a young spellcaster with a fancier rod appeared (ATK: 1,600). She looked like she would be the younger sister for Dark Magician Girl, but she was was a light monster and the more well known monster was a monster of darkness.
"I attack your facedown monster with my Valkyria. Attack with Mystic Scepter Blast."
She aimed her scepter as a burst of burning light shot out and a squared-shaped machine with small blades surrounding it appeared on the card (DEF: 1,300) and the attack plowed into it and smashed it into shards and then he pointed at his facedown card and resumed, "I use my Broken Blocker and Special Summon 2 more Yaiba Robos from my deck."
The trap appeared and two more of the sqaure-shaped machines appeared (DEF: 1,300 x2) and I nodded and pointed as my monk chanted and a burst of magic energy from his scepter smashed another of the machines into scrap metal.
"Your turn now, sir."
He drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Cyber Valley."
He played the card and a machine that looked a smaller Cyber Dragon appeared (ATK: 0).
"I banish it and my Robo to draw two cards."
Both machines faded away into pixels and he drew two cards and resumed, "I activate my Ancient Rules to Special Summon my Space Megatron."
He played the card and a huge space weapon with a huge laser cannon appeared (ATK: 2,000).
"I equip my machine with Gravity Blaster."
A smaller cannon appeared on the side of the space weapon and he smiled and poikted at it and it glowed with energy (ATK: 2,000 - 2,400).
"Blast her Valkyria away!"
It aimed its cannon a a laser of pure, fiery energy rained down onto my monster and blew her to little triangles that flew around the field and I took a card and discarded it and resumed, "I discarded a Kuriboh to prvent the damage from hitting me."
A wall of the cute furry monsters appeared and the lasers blasted through them all.
"Clever, lady. I end my turn now."
I drew a new card and I resumed, "I'll switch my Ranshin to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and I'll activate my Jar of Greed."
My trap appeared and I drew a card and I placed that card on the field and I resumed, "Your move now, sir."
He drew a card and then I pointed at my facedown card and a Dust Tornado lifted and a burst of wind smashed the equipped spell to shards and the thief smiled and replied, "Whatever you say, lady. The boosts that card gives are permanent! I summon my Patrol Robo for Combat!"
She played the card and a rickety robot of light rolled on the field (ATK: 1,600).
"Robo, attack."
It slowly went and slammed its hammer-like armed own, blowing my Ranshin to pieces and I nodded and resumed, "Banish your Cyber Soldier."
He nodded and banished it and resumed, "No big deal of getting rid of that crap of a card and since my Robo destroyed a monster, I Can draw a card and then I have to place 1 at the bottom of my deck."
He drew a card and then took a card and placed at the bottom and he resumed, "Space Megatron, attack!"
The machine powered up as a beam of pure, fiery energy shot down and my monster, a obese armored knight, appeared briefly (DEF: 1,600) as the laser attacks shot him down and blasted him to bits.
"You'll never beat me, lady! I end my turn now."
I drew a card and resumed, "I activate my Overlay Network."
The spell appeared.
"I now summon my Zubababancho Gagagacoat."
he played the card and a tall muscular warrior with a sword appeared and I thought this was the strangest named monster I have in my deck so far (ATK: 1,800).
"I use my Network's effect now. I Can now Special Summon a monster from my hand or graveyard with the same level, but without it's effect and I choose my Ranshin."
My spell glowed as my monk reappeared (ATK: 1,800)
"I overlay my 2 Level 4 monsters."
They both glowed as they turned into white orbs and a portal opened up, which they flew into.
"I use these monsters to build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon. I bring forth a mighty and strong dragon. I Xyz Summon my Kachi Kochi Dragon."
I played the card and a beautiful dragon made of white stones appeared with a roar (ATK: 2,100) and then I resumed, "I attack your Megatron and I'll chain it with Shrink."
The dragon roared as my Spell appeared (ATK: 2,400 -1,200) as a huge burst of pure white energy shot out and slammed into the huge space laser and sparks flew from before it exploded into a shower of hot metal that rained down on him and I resumed, "I'll remove a Xyz Material monster to allow him to attack again."
"I discarded my oddly named monster as another blast of energy shot out and blew his final monster to little pieces.

"Your move now."
He drew a new card and resumed, "Damn your good. I'll set a monster facedown and a card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
I drew a new card and resumed, "I'm going to use my Overlay Network's other effect. I Can add the other Xyz Material it has to my hand."
I got my Ranshin back and I played and the aged monk appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"Lets do this. Attack his facedown monster, Ranshin."
He aimed his scepter as a bolt of energy shot out and a Dark Mimic LV1 appeared on the card (DEF: 1,000) and the magic blew it to pieces and he drew a new card and then he quickly replied, "I activate my Soul Resurrection."
The trap appeared and the Yaiba Robo reappeared (DEF: 1,300) and another burst of pure energy shot and slammed into the machine and smashed it into shards.
"Lucky move. I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."
"I end my turn now."
Marky D drew a card and replied, "I activate Spellbook Inside of the Pot so we can both drew 3 cards."
Both drew 3 cards and he resumed, "I activate Frontline Base and a second Machine Assembly Line!"
The spells appeared.
"I now summon my Beetron-1 Beetletop."
He played a card and a beetle-shaped machine with tires and a large metal horn appeared (ATK: 1,700 - 1,900).
"I now use my Base's effect and Special Summon my Beetron-3 Spider Base!"
The spell appeared and a large battle-shaped machine appeared (ATK: 1,000 - 1,200).
"I now equip my Spider Base to my first one."
The large beetle flew onto the field and landed on top of the spider machine and it connected to it as well (ATK: 1,900 - 2,500).
"Destroy her Dragon!"
The horn of the machine glowed as a burst of small white shards shot out and struck the huge dragon down and cracks formed all over my poor dragon before it exploded into sparkling white shards that rained down on me.

"Take that, Lady! I end my turn now."
I drew a card and I looked at my hand and resumed, "I'll switch Ranshin to defense and then I"ll set a new monster facedown and a card facedown and that's my turn now."
The thief drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Cyber Phoenix!"
He played the and the fiery phoenix machine appeared (ATK: 1,200 -1,400).
"Lets do this. Phoenix, attack!"
The machine let out a burst of red-hot flames and they struck my monk down and he moaned before he burst in a cloud of soot & ashes and I nodded and resumed, "Banish your Space Megatron."
He did so and resumed, "No loss. Beetron, attack!"
The machine glowed as a burst of small white shards shot out and my monster, a Crystal Seer appeared on the card (DEF: 2,000) and the shards struck her and blew her to little pieces and I drew two cards and I looked at my hand and quickly slid a new card underneath my deck.
"You'll never beat me, lady! I end my turn now."
I drew a new card and I smiled at my new card and resumed, "I activate a card that my roomate gave for me for my birthday this year. I activate my Harpie's Feather Duster."
He moaned as the huge feather appeared and it began to glow as a burst of wind shot out and smashed his Frontline Base and Machine Assembly Cards to pieces and then his first machine quickly flew from Union monster as it shattered apart as well (ATK: 2,500 - 1,700) -(ATK: 1,400 - 1,200) and he groaned and resumed, "You'll pay for that move!"
"I activate Call of the Haunted."
The trap appeared and my Witch appeared (ATK: 1,100) and I resumed, "I activate Polymerization to fuse my Witch of the Black Forest with the Sangan I kept with Seer's effect."
The cute 3-eyed Fiend appeared and merged with my Witch and it glowed and a cute Spellcaster with Sangan's eyes and a robe and a staff appeared (ATK: 2,100).
"Meet the mighty Sanwitch."
Maria smiled and resumed, "What a move."
Before I had a chance to continue my move, I saw 2 paramedics (A male and a female) walk out of the entrance to the car area and they ran over to our duel and the taller female one was there and Aaron saw the female and replied, "Good timing, Renee."
"We do what we have to do, buddy. Where's our wounded one?"
He pointed at the woman and she was still bleeding and the other worker sighed and replied, "We got this, Aaron."
He nodded as they went in and wrapped her arm up in with a tight bandage to stop the bleeding then helped her on her feet and she replied, "Chris, we need to get her out of here."
Her partner nodded as they both walked away while holding her arms tight and Maria nodded and replied, "Your a great guy, sir."
"Your and your friend are all right in my eyes. Smash this creep up, girl."
"Will do, sir. Thanks to my Witch and Sangan, I get two cards from my deck."
I took two of them and I resumed, "I Now summon my Chow Sai the Ghost Destroyer I got with my witch's effect."
I played a card and another beared monk with a string of glowing beads appeared (ATK: 1,900) and Maria nodded and resumed, "One of her favorite monsters."
"I now activate my Banner of Courage."
The spell appeared.
"Time to fight. Chow Sai will attack your Beetron."
The beads began to glow (ATK: 1,900 - 2,100) as small red shards shot out and stabbed into the air machine and it shattered into broken pieces of metal.
"Sanwitch, your turn."
The wizard aimed his staff (ATK: 2,100 - 2,300) as two bolts of pure magical energy shot out and struck, smashing the Cyber Phoenix into broken metal and he moaned as he drew a card.

"There you go. I End my turn now."
The thief drew a card and resumed, "I activate my Ancient Rules!"
The spell appeared and a Launcher Spider appeared (ATK: 2,200).
"I now summon my Machine King Prototype."
He played the card and the machine soldier appeared (ATK: 1,600 - 1,700).
"I now activate my favorite card and I activate Clockwork Night!"
The spell appeared and both of my monsters became metallic and weakened down as well (ATK: 2,100 -1,600) - (ATK: 1,900 - 1,400) and his machines glowed with power as well (ATK: 2,200 -2,700) - (ATK: 1,700 - 2,400).
"Lets do this. Launcher Spider, attack his Chow Sai!"
The hatches of the machine glowed as a huge barrage of missiles shot and they exploded around my monk, consuming him in a fiery explosion (ATK: 2,400 - 2,300) and I resumed, "When Chow Sai goes down in battle, I Can banish a Spell or Trap Card from your graveyard and I'm choosing your Gravity Blaster."
He banished it as well and resumed, "You'll never win this duel. Prototype, attack!"
The machine fired its lasers and they shot out and pierced through my monster and blew him into little shards of metal.

"There you go! I end my turn now."
I drew a new card and I smiled and resumed, "I activate my Gagaga Academy Emergency Network and Special Summon my Gagaga Druid from my deck."
She played the card and a hooded druid with a wooden shillelagh for a weapon (ATK: 2,200).
"I now summon my Gagaga Magician."
She played the card and the Xyz mage appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"Since I Control a Gagaga monster, I Can activate my Gagagabolt to blast away your Night card."
The spell appeared and Gagaga Magician glowed as a bolt of pure energy shot out and smashed the Clockwork Night card to bits (ATK: 2,700 - 2,200) - (ATK: 2,200 -1,700).
"I now activate Monster Reborn."
The spell appeared and Sanwitch appeared (ATK: 2,100).
"I'll now make Gagaga Magician's Level 6."
Two more stars lit up on his belt (Level: 4 - 6).
"I overlay my Druid and my Gagaga Magician."
Both Spellcasters glowed as they turned into black orbs and a portal opened up, which they flew into.
"I use these monsters to build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon. I bring forth a mage of dark magical energy and great power. I Xyz Summon my Magi Magi Magician Gal."
She played the card and a mage that looked Dark Magician Girl appeared (ATK: 2,400).
"I activate her first effect. I'll banish a card from my hand and remove a Xyz Material monster to take control of a monster you control."
I discarded Druid's card and took a Skelegel and banished it and she glowed as the large robotic Spider appeared on my side of the field and he looked at my monster and he groaned and replied, "I'm so fucked right now."
"This is over. Sanwitch, attack."
She aimed her staff and it glowed as two bolts of magic energy shot out and struck, blowing the machine to scrap metal.
"Launcher Spider and Magician Gal, finish this guy off."
She aimed as a huge burst of dark magical energy shot out and slammed into him and then the machine launched another barrage of missiles and they shot out and exploded around him, knocking him to the ground near his car.

Aaron smiled and replied, "That was one amazing combo!"
All the monsters vanished from the field as the crook got up and he was about to leave and then Aaron looked at him and replied, "Not going to happen!"
He went in and and punched him and knocking back towards the nearby wall and he dragged him onto his feet and he took a pair of handcuffs and cuffed him and he replied, "I'll take care him, ladies. Thanks for the extra help."
We both nodded and we walked away towards Maria's car and the mall cop nodded and replied, "She might be a great duelist and maybe a group member for that police group."

Space Megatron
Machine/Normal/Dark/ATK: 2,000/DEF: 2,000/5 Stars
A large space machine with a large cannon that vaporize enemies in meer seconds.
Note: This is a card that was seen in the original Yugioh Manga and Used by Bandit Keith with these stats and in the video games, it had 1,400 ATK and 2,000 DEF and I'm using these stats when I use this card.
Beetron-1 Beetletop
Machine/Normal/Earth/ATK: 1,700/DEF: 1,400/4 Stars
A large mechanical beetle-like fighting droid. It can intergate with other machines to make even better in battle.
Beetron-3 Spider Base
Machine/Union/Effect/Earth/ATK: 1,000/DEF: 2,000/4 Stars
Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 "Beetron-1 Beetletop" you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. A monster equipped with this card gains 600 ATK/DEF, also if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.
Note: These two cards were used by Chazz in the Yugioh GX episode "Magnetic Personality".

If your opponent controls 2 or monsters then you do, you can Normal Summon this card without a Tribute.
