A/N At The Bottom
Chapter one
Location Musutafu Japan- Aldera Junior High
"C'mon class you guys are all third years now, it's time for you to start thinking seriously about your futures." said the teacher "I would hand out these future career forms, but I assume you all want to be heroes." as the students activate their quirks showing off their excitement he throws away the forms in the trash.
"God damn will all of you shut up like any of you can be a hero with such crappy quirks," said Bakugo with his legs kicked up on his deck.
"Huh, get over yourself Katsuki" yelled the class "Ah, Bakugou you of course must be aiming for U.A. high school." the teacher responded "That national school the cutoff score this year is 79 right, I heard they barely accept anyone
Jumping on top of his desk he proclaims "All you losers better stop chattering, I already aced the mock exam, I'm the only one here that will surpass All Might and become the strongest number one hero!"
"Oh, but you're also going for U.A aren't you Midoriya?" asked the teacher
As Bakugou begins to grind his teeth in anger the class starts to laugh "Midoriya!? No way!
Good grades alone can't get you into the hero program"
Standing up from his seat "Th-That's not necessarily true, sure there's no precedent but-"
Slam
Bakugou hand slams on the table and Midoriya falls off his chair onto the floor "Come on Deku, forget these crappy quirks over here, what can you do since you're totally quirkless". As he gets closer "Do you think you can stand next to me in a fight!"
"No, Kacchan I wasn't saying I could compete with you, not at all it's, just been my dream I mean there's no harm in trying," he said nervously
"Try? Try the entrance exam" as the class begins to laugh again at the quirkless boy "What can you even do there." Midoriya looks at the ground sadly
Downtown
"Thief! Someone stop him!" yelled the store owner
A dark green mud-like substance starts to run away with the money he has stolen "Catch me if you can!" it spoke
"This guy must have been inspired by chaos this morning," a bystander said "Lots of people out there who just can't control their quirk. I guess there is no end to them, said the civilian."
"Yes, there is, why you ask? Cuz I Am Here" said a mysterious voice
Aldera Junior High
Ding Ding Ding
As all the students start to pack up and leave the room Midoriya is looking at an article on his phone 'The incident this morning is all over the net. I better get home and get my notes in order' he thought as he went to grab his book Bakugo snatches it off of his deck.
"We ain't done here yet Deku" as he looks at his notes realizing the cover says 'Hero Analysis for my Future no.13' as he looks through it to see a very detailed and well-written book. Closing the book he looks at Deku, skinny with no muscle in sight. Putting the book between his hands
Boom
"Why?" a shocked Midoriya seeing that he burned his book
Sighing, he walks to the window and throws the book out the window. "You said that you want to try the entrance exam right? Do you think this is a joke? What can you do, your dumbass doesn't even know how to fight, you have no quirk to use. To be a hero you must be willing to die, are you ready to die Deku." waiting for a response, without getting one answer Bakugo grabs his backpack as he is about to leave "Face reality, you will never become a hero, so just give up" slamming the door shut as he walks out.
Leaving the classroom saddened by what Katsuki said he spotted his book floating in the pond as the fishes started to nibble on the book 'Idiot who cares what you think' he thought. He starts to remember what made him want to be a hero
Flashback
A young Midoriya sitting in front of a computer screen asking his mother to come over and watch a clip of his favorite hero "Again Izuku I think you're responsible for tens of thousands of this video's view." An old clip starts to play showing a massive disaster showing multiple people injured and in pain, as one man starts to care dozens of people out of the wreckage.
"Are you all seeing this, he already saved a Hundred people, and it has only been ten minutes," said the reporter. As the hero emerges, smiles "Fear not why you ask? Cuz I Am Here"
"He is so cool when I get my quirk I wanna be just like him," the energetic boy said
"I'm afraid there is no hope for him" the doctor bluntly told the mother and the young boy
"There has to be a mistake the other kindergartners have all started showing signs of their quirks-"
"Pardon me ma'am but you're a fourth generation correct? By the age of four, a child should manifest either one of his parent's quirks or a composite of the two. It has to do with the presence or absence of the extra joint in the pinky toe. Humans do not need parts they don't use and those without the joint represent the next stage of evolution, your son Izuku here has two joints. It is becoming quite rare nowadays but he possesses no quirk at all."
Back at the Midoriya home, the young boy went back to the computer to watch his favorite hero
"Mom, no matter what kind of trouble you're in he'll come and save you with a smile. That is what I wanna be." Young Midoriya said with tears
Running up to her son and hugging him as tears start to form "I'm so sorry Izuku"
Flashback end
'That was when I decided not to care what anyone has to say, I'll just keep my chin up and keep moving forward'
"A medium-sized body to hide in '' a voice said before Midoriya can turn around dark green Sludge start to wrap around him "Don't worry kid I'm just hijacking your body, just calm down. It will only hurt for about 45 seconds then it will all be over." trying to pull the sludge off of him, his fingers just can't get any grip. "No point in trying that I'm fluid, you see. I never thought he would show up in this town."
'I can't breathe my body is getting weaker I'm going to die Someone help I'm dying'
"Fear not kid!" At that moment the number one hero gets out sewers "I am here. Texas Smash!" As a shock wave hits the green sludge making it release the green-haired boy. The last thing Midoriya did was see his idol before passing out.
Feeling a light tap on his face Midoirya slowly wakes up and sees the number one hero in front of him.
"Your okay, that is excellent, apologies for getting you caught up in my villain hunt, mistakes like that aren't my style but this is a strange land to me, and besides I'm off camera!" said the pro hero "But my success here is all thanks to you, I was able to contain the villain!" showing him the bottle
'All Might, He's here up close' he thought. "Oh a-an autograph where is my notebook? He already signed it! Wow! Thank you so much, this will be my family heirloom!" He shouted
"Now I must bring this fellow to the authorities! You can catch me again on TV! A pro battle not only against enemies but also time. Until next time"
As he get ready to jump away Midoriya realize he had to ask him "Hold on I still need to ask you-"
"Thanks for your support!" as All Might flew away feeling a tug on his leg he turned back registered and the young boy latched on "Hey now. Release me! such enthusiasm is a bit much"
"If I let go now I'll die!"
"That is very true!"
"I just need to ask you a question, maybe two!" as the wind blast his face
"Okay okay just do me a favor and close your eyes and mouth" At that moment All might start to cough and blood slowly drips out of the corner of his mouth 'Damn!'
Downtown
Down on the street you see Bakugo walking on the sidewalk and see him talking on the phone "The hell you mean your not coming" growled Bakugo "I have a year before I go to U.A, I need to get stronger so I can-" as the other person on the phone says something that made him silent, his face turns a little green "Whatever I'm going to our training spot. Tell bunny ears and those brats I say hello. I'll see you later." The moment his phone went into his pocket his instinct immediately started screaming at him, turning around and he spots nothing out of the ordinary. 'I must have imagined it' he thought, seeing an empty bottle spinning on the ground.
"Good a new body," said the Sludge villain who was behind him. He instantly swallowed Bakugo.
On top of a building All Might lands a frazzled Midoriya tries to regain his breath "Of all the- hopefully the people downstairs will help us get down. I have no time, I must leave."
"Please Wait."
"No! I will not wait."
"Even without a Quirk can I still be a hero? Can someone without a quirk become a hero like you?"
"Quirks are-" 'Oh no' steam starts to come out of All Might's body
Not realizing what is going on Midoriya continues "Because I don't have a quirk, well maybe that is not the only reason, but I have always been picked on. I think that saving people is just the coolest thing someone can do. The way you save people with that fearless smile I want to be the strongest hero just like you- Whaaaat?!" finally looking up instead of all might he saw a shriveled man " Fake imposter?!"
"I am All Might," said the skinny man
"How!?"
"You know how people hold in their gut at the pool? Just like that." Seeing the boy in disbelief he sits down "You have seen the real me kid, so don't write this about it on the internet. A fearless smile huh" as he lifts his shirt to reveal a massive injury scaring the student "Five years ago an enemy did this to me, my respiratory system was nearly destroyed and my stomach was removed. I have wasted away because of the aftereffects of countless surgeries. I can only do my hero work for about three hours a day now."
"Five years ago that was when you fought against Toxic Chainsaw?" remembering hearing of the fight.
"That lowlife, no he can never do something like this to me. This was never made public. That is, I asked that it not be made public. A symbol of peace who saves people with a smile must never be daunted by evil. The reason I smile is to stave off the overwhelming pressure and fear
I feel. A pro should always be ready to risk his life without power. Can one become a hero? No, I should not think so."
Standing back up All Might get ready to leave "If you desire to help people becoming a police officer is always an option. Those villain custody officers are often mocked, but that too is admirable work. It is not wrong to dream however you need to be a realistic kid" As he is going down the steps 'I have to get this guy to the authorities he thought as he when to grab the bottle he just hit his leg doing it over and over he starts to grasp that the bottle is no longer with him
Boom
"Oh no" coming to the realization of what has happen
Downtown
"Aaaargh" 'As I'd let this mudman take my body for himself' Bakugo continues to struggle to get the sludge off of him.
'What strength! I hit the jackpot. With this quirk and this much power, I'll have my revenge on him.'
"Wow, some sort of hardcore villain?" a bystander looked over the battle "Go get him, heroes"
"A single-lane street, I can't get there!" Yelled MT. Lady
"Explosive fire is my weakness," said Kamui Woods "Someone else has to take this one!"
"I already got my hands full here with all this fire where are the firefighters" yelled Backdraft
"How's it looking over there"
"He's too slippery to get hold of but his hostage with the explosive quirk is resisting". Responded Death Arms
"Damn it it's like a minefield out here we can't do anything against him" yelled Slugger
As the hero tries to run and get Bakugo out of the villain grasps the sludge using his new body and blasts the hero back "It no good there no one here who can stop him we just gotta wait for someone with the right quirk to show up!"
"Until then keep the damage to a minimum someone will come we just need that kid to hold on a bit longer," said Backdraft
'Shoot if only I had the power to blow him away' ponder Death Arms.
An exhausted All Might runs to where the commotion is seeing it is the Sludge villain from before, realizing what had happened 'That's when it happened! I lost track of time dealing with that fan that led to this.' Grabbing his wound as he tries to transform 'pathetic I'm so pathetic.'
Walking down the road disheartened Izuku starts to remember what the teacher and students told him-
"You need to be realistic.
Even as a third year, he can't face reality.
It's time to start thinking seriously about your future
-rubbing the tears out of his eyes 'Even the best of the best said it. Don't cry, you already knew right? This is reality. It's because I knew that I tried so damned hard, to ignore reality.' Looking to his left he notices a crowd of people forming across the street. Walking over to get a glimpse of what is going on. Confused why the villain looks familiar 'Wait Is that him? How! All Might let him go?! Did he drop him? Then that means "This is my fault!"
"Why are the heroes just standing there?" Ask one of the bystanders "Seems the villain grabbed a middle schooler."
'Grabbing' as he recalls what the villain did to him 'so he's enduring that same pain'
"Hey that villain isn't it the one All Might was chasing? All Might, no way he's really here. Yeah, I saw him earlier. Then what is All Might doing now?" Asked the crowd
'It's my fault All Might can't do anything this guy can't be caught. We have to wait for someone with the right quirk to show up. Hang in there, I'm sorry so sorry someone will come to save you soon. A hero is bound to come soon.'
Seeing who was captured by the villain gasping for air
"Get back here you fool stop" yelled the shocked heroes
"Oh it's you kid, I got a better body now, there's no need for you," said the sludge
'Why am I running? What am I doing? What should I do? At a time like this's throwing his
backpack to blind him "Kacchan" as he desperately tries to get him out
"Idiot why? Get out-" Sludge forces its way into Bakugo throat trying to suffocate him.
"My legs just started moving dunno" 'There were many reasons but at that moment "You looked like you needed saving." Bakugo eyes start to roll back
"Just a bit longer and this body is mine! So don't get in my way brat" raising his arm to crush the frightened boy.
"Does that kid have a death wish? He'll die for nothing!" yelled Death Arms rushing in with the rest of the Heros to get him the boy out.
A large fist grabs both Midoriya and Bakugo arms "The lessons I left you with, I should practice what I preach! A pro should always be ready to risk his life! Detroit Smash!" slamming the ground with such forcing the sludge separate from his captive
"Rain?" Everyone looks up "No way was that air pressure. He changed the weather with a single punch! Amazing that All Might" cheering him on.
Later that night - Park
In a handstand, Bakugo is dripping in sweat, as he is tiring to go finish his set of handstand pushups he collapses onto the ground.
"You know if you keep pushing yourself like this you'll injure yourself," said a tired voice
Blasting himself back up Bakugo went straight for a right hook and instantly fell right on his back. Looking up he sees a familiar spiky red-haired man "What are you doing here, I thought you would still be with the bunny ears and the brats."
"You know if Rumi hears you saying that she'll kick your ass, and don't call my kids brats." The man teased "Anyway I came because the Princess called me, say Izuku and you didn't pick up your phones?"
Confused, he goes and grabs his phone from his backpack, seeing 5 missed calls from Ponytail
"Damn it." giving a quick text to Ponytail
"Let's get you home, the sun is starting to set." as he starts leaving the park. " You had a long day already. I saw what happened on the news. How the hell did you get captured, we have
been working on your spatial awareness hell your instinct is on par with Rumi" the man said
Grabbing his backpack "I Ignored it, that's all" as Bakugo starts to follow him home.
"Well, lesson learned, once you become a hero you can never second guess yourself you know."
"Whatever, as their big brother, it is my duty to never lose. I still haven't lost yet."
Chuckling he ruffles Bakugo hair which angers the boy "Good, for the next two days we will take a day off of training and don't argue with me Katsuki" as he sees Bakugo ready to complain "We have a year before U.A. and I have been training you for years now there no need to rush. Plus my wife will be home so I gotta make sure she doesn't poison us with her cooking" said with a exhausted face
"Whatever big bro" as they both couldn't wait to go home to end their hectic day.
Somewhere else, someone journey to be a hero is just beginning.
Short-Side story
First meeting
"You look like shit?" said a short spiky blond hair boy
Looking next to him, an exhausted spiky red-haired boy is confused. "Are you talking to me shorty?"
"The name is not shorty, it's Katsuki Bakugo tomato head, the future number one hero," the blond boy said angrily
"Whatever kid, and don't call me tomato head the name is Naruto Todoroki," the red hair said
"So what the hell with all those bite mark" Bakugo asked
"When you're older kid," said a blushing Naruto, having multiple bite marks on his neck.
A/N
Hi, this is my first story I ever wrote. I got bored while waiting for an interview for the jobs I applied for. So I made this story to help pass the time. I hope you enjoy it since I'm not that good of a writer. If I get three reviews I'll make a second chapter though it might take a while. Also how you like the short side story just shows how Naruto and Katsuki met. As you can tell this will be taking place in MHA and following the story with other characters pop in as well. If the ending feels like it was cut short, that's because I couldn't figure out how to end the chapter.
