"This is a bad idea." I sigh when I hear Matt say that for the tenth time in the last twenty minutes.

I roll my eyes and Quinn sighs. "Why is he here again?" She hands me a hammer.

"Besides being my best friend," I pause to take a swing at the nail. "I thought he would be some help. Clearly I was mistaken."

"Hey!" Matt throws his hands up defense. "I put that slide up!"

"Barely." Quinn and I share a laugh at her joke.

"Haha." He pouts. "Rachel is going to kill you two."

"You too. You put up the slide, remember?" Another round of laughter.

Matt rolls his eyes and focus on Quinn. "Aren't you pose to be Rachel's best friend? You know she's going to shit bricks when she sees this."

"That's very true." Quinn shrugs. "But Ava is going to love this and I'm not married to her so I will not be sleeping on the couch." Quinn explains her logic for helping me with this project.

"Guys shut up and help me finish this part before my princess gets home." I demand before taking another swing at the nail.

It's another hour before Rachel and Ava gets home. We are sitting around eating sandwiches in the living room.

"Matty!" I hear Ava scream from the doorway before she comes running into the room, throwing herself onto Matt. "Ant Q!" Her eyes go wide when she sees Quinn sitting on the other side of me. I'm only slights offended that she greets and hugs everyone in the room before climbing into my lap. "Hi mama!" She places a wet kiss onto my nose.

"Hey baby." I hug Ava tight. Rachel walks into the room. "Hey baby!" I grin up at her.

Rachel says hi to everyone before narrowing her eyes. "So what are you guys up to?"

Matt pushes his self further into the couch as if to hide. Coward.

"Just hanging out." I shrug. "They helped me with a project."

"What project?" Rachel looks around confused.

I stand with Ava in my arms. "Well if you would just follow me…" We all get up and walk through the house to the back door.

"OOOOOH PLAY!" Ava screams after I open the back door. She tries to break free from me so I kiss her forehead and sit the excited kid down.

"Are you freaking serious?!" Rachel's eyes are wide and it's not because she's excited. "Is she freaking serious?" Rachel addresses the question to Matt this time.

"I told her." He steps passed us and grabs Ava's hand. "Come on Q. Let's go play."

The three of them quickly disappear outside.

Rachel watches an excited Ava climb the little ladder before she turns and walks over to the fridge.

"A playset?" She mumbles to herself while yanking the fridge door open. "I thought we talked about this, Santana." I just remain quiet while she pours herself some water.

Rachel only takes a few sips before letting out a frustrated noise and putting the glass down.
"You're being a dick." Rachel says calmly.

"How? She's an only child, Rach. I just wanted her to have some fun." Rachel rolls her eyes. "I'm not spoiling her. She still listens to us and all that junk."

"I have a headache." She picks back up her glass of water. "Don't let her stay out there too long. And you're making dinner." She dismisses the conversation and leaves the kitchen. What the hell. Rachel never just lets an argument drop. She must be really pissed.

I think about going after her but decide against it. We can argue about this later.

"Let's play tag!" I yell as I join my daughter and friends in the backward.

#$%^&*(

I'm headed back from checking on a patient when I round the corner to see Rachel standing at the nurses' station.

"What's wrong? Ava okay? What's wrong?" I rush out because I have no idea why my wife is here.

Rachel doesn't usually just pop up at the hospital unannounced. So it's only right that I go right into panic mode.

"Hey, calm down." Rachel chuckles. "Everything is fine. I just wanted to see you." Rachel runs her hands up and down my arms in a calming way.

"What?" I give her a funny look.

Rachel rolls her eyes. "You take lunch around this time right?" I nod. "Okay so take it."

I just stare at her for a few more minutes before she lightly pushes me and tell me to get a move on it.

After checking up on one more patient and informing the right people, I let Rachel lead me away from the nurses' station.

"Why aren't we going to the cafeteria?" I wonder when Rachel leads us off the elevator and into the parking garage.

"I wanted us to be alone." She says once we get to her car and she unlocks the doors.

Okay this is getting weird. I don't know what to think. Rachel hasn't brought up anything about the play set all week. In fact, she and Jessica had the kids a play date just a few days ago. Rachel invited Jessica, Matt's sister, and her kids over and the kids played in the backyard.

"What did I do?" I ask once my ass hits the seat.

"Nothing." Rachel smiles and passes me a brown paper bag. I peak inside to see a cup of apple sauce and a sandwich and a juice box. Rachel packed me a lunch.

"Are you okay?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Shut up and eat." Rachel demands.

I do as told. We spend a few minutes in silence before Rachel starts to fidget.

"I had a really shitty day at work." Is her opening line. I stay quiet because I'm sure there is more to come.

"But I love my job. I really do." I can see the emotions playing across her face. I just know she's going to start crying at some point. I stuff the rest of my sandwich into my mouth and reach over to hold her hand. Rachel smiles over at me and moves our hands to rest in her lap.

"And I love you and Ava. I love everything about you two and our little family." I squeeze her hand in agreement and encouragement. "I'm sorry I'm being all dramatic." She lets out a little laugh and wipes at her wet face.

"It's okay, babe." I smile at her. I just wait patiently for her to continue.

"What I'm trying to say is I love my job but I would like to go part time soon." I raise an eyebrow. "I love our family and would like for us to add to it."

My eyes get wide with excitement. "What?!"

"Let's have another baby." Rachel beams over at me.

"Seriously? No shit?"

"No shit." Rachel nods.

"This isn't because of the playset thing right?" I ask seriously. "I wasn't trying to pressure you. I can wait until we are both ready."

Rachel pulls our hands up to her face and kisses the back of my hand. "No. This is because I love you and you're a great mom and I want to have another little perfect baby with you."

I grin and lean over to kiss her. "No shit?" I mumble against her lips. Rachel smiles into the kiss. "Can we start making that baby now?"I bite her lip.

Rachel playfully shoves me away. "No. Eat your damn apple sauces and get back to work." She kisses my cheek. "You have a family to support."
