Can we all take a moment to applaud our beautiful Willow Shields on her amazing performances on DWTS? I'm devastated that she got eliminated, even though she was the best performer at only 14!
(PS. Willow Shields is 14 in real life NOT 16! Willow Shields, born June 1, 2000.)
We love you Willow, keep on shining.
-CATO-
As the train stopped, my blood was absolutely boiling. How dare anyone think they can do anything to hurt my fucking girlfriend? Some of them were shot for acting so violently, but the Peacekeepers would never hurt anyone from the Career districts.
So, who were those people?
They looked poor, run-down and dirty. In One, just like in my district and Four, everyone lived sufficiently... not as much as the Capitol, but much better than what I saw in Twelve. That means that those people couldn't have belonged in One. They might be exiles, people that did something to be kicked out of their district.
I really don't know. What I do know is that my killer instincts are settling in, and all I need is my damn machete.
Rose is oddly calm. She doesn't look startled, or even a little bit afraid.
Effie is going insane, though, walking back and forth, talking to herself about how she was going to give the District leader a piece of her mind for putting Rose through something like that. Rose watches her, blue eyes wide with a blank look. She stood completely still, blocking out the world.
"Baby?"
Her head snaps to look at me and she frowns. "What?" she asks.
I take a step toward her and she takes a step back. "You're okay, right? You know I won't let anyone hurt you, right?"
Rose nods her head slowly, like she was listening, but her mind wasn't there.
I took another step forward and she took another step back. Now she's not letting me touch her... did I do something wrong?
Shit.. I didn't say anything, or do anything. Then what's wrong?
"Did I do something wrong, Kitten?" I ask. My heart was beating quickly... fuck I'm nervous. Why does she have this effect on me? Why is it that I'm so cautious around her, doing nothing that would even remotely anger her?
She looks up at me and shakes her head. Her eyes go to the door and she crosses her arms around herself protectively.
"Then what's wrong?" Now I'm starting to get angry. She has to tell me what's wrong. If she doesn't, I'm going to lose my mind from wondering what it could be.
I move forward and before she has the chance, I capture her, holding onto her arm.
"Nothing, Cato," Rose mumbles. "Just let go."
"No, tell me."
Rose rolls her eyes and keeps her mouth shut, clearly annoyed. She wants to be left alone?
Rose snatches her arm from my grip and turns. "Just leave me alone," she snaps at me, walking away.
What the fuck?
Effie approaches her. "Come, Primrose. Let's get this over with and get out of this unappreciative District. They should be on their knees begging you for your love."
I almost laugh. Damn, Rose wasn't lying with all those stories she's told me about Effie. The woman is fucking nuts. Hell, she's wearing a sunset.
Rose nods silently, and follows Effie out of the train with her prep team. I walk after them, keeping my distance, but not too far that I wouldn't be able to knock a bitch out if they tried something. Rose seemed pissed, and if I upset her any more, she might turn around and punch me in the jaw like her sister did. She keeps her head down, staring at nothing but the cement.
I'm her boyfriend and she's hurting about something. Isn't there something I should do? What do wimpy guys do when this is happening? Better yet, what would Peeta do?
Ha, that fucker got what he deserved.
What would he do, though? I know in the television programs, when a girl was upset, the boyfriend would hug her, hold her, or fuck the shit out of her.
I can't fuck her, so maybe I should hold her...?
Damn, I really don't know what I'm doing in this relationship.
I take a few steps forward and wrap my arms around Rose from behind slowly, tightening them before she has the chance to push away. This is what I'm supposed to do, I think...
Rose tenses for a few seconds, but I slowly start to feel her body relax pushed into mine. She rests her head onto my chest and places her tiny hands on top of mine. Effie keeps walking, completely oblivious, and we follow right behind her, Rose's legs in-between mine, taking small steps while mine are huge.
I tighten my arms around her, just like the guys in the show, and lean down to kiss her forehead.
"You don't have to tell me anything. Just know I'm here for you."
She nods her head, and the pounding in my chest goes away. She must still be upset about whatever it is, but at least I took some of it away.
"I love you," she says quietly.
I bite my lip. The way she said it... it was confident but unsure all at once. There was innocence and edge in her voice. Shit, it turns me on. Fuck, I feel the boner coming.
I rest my head on hers as we continue this unnecessarily long walk. My hands were on her stomach, but I slowly inched them lower, giving her an idea of what I was thinking. I need her shivering, shaking at my touch. I'm sure she can feel my hard-on by now, especially with how close she was to me. She responds by squeezing my hands tighter and pushing her hips into mine more.
Fuck.
Rose giggles, and that's when I know that she's teasing me.
Oh, I'll show her teasing..
We make it to the District's Constitutional hall, where Rose will be giving her Victor's speech. Once we walk into the building, Rose tries to get away from me, but I hold her tighter. I have on track pants, and I don't want people seeing my boner. She has to stay here until it goes down.
We're greeted by the mayor, Mayor Seeder, and Effie shakes his hand lightly. She's clearly pissed off.
"Hello," the Mayor says to Effie, his mouth pulled into a fake smile. "It's nice to see you again, Effie."
Effie scoffs. "It doesn't seem like that. Did you see those rascals outside of the train, throwing things at my precious star?" she snaps at the Mayor, not caring what role he has.
The mayor frowns and shakes his head. "I assure you that those people have been taken care of. They are a group of rebels that were exiled for acts that do not go unpunished here in our District."
Effie puts her hand on her heart like she was genuinely surprised. Fucking bitch.
"Oh my..." she almost yells.
The mayor nods. "There will be none of that here, I can promise you."
Effie agrees and smiles, finally happy with the world again.
The mayor turns to Rose, and then I see a real smile. He steps closer to her, towering over her at six feet tall, and opens his arms.
"And here you are, Panem's sweetheart and our Victor," he says softly, a little twinkle in his eyes at the sight of her. Shit, he wants her. He has to want her. What guy wouldn't? At the sight of her hips... Damn.
The mayor pulls Rose away from me and brings her into a hug, holding her too tightly and for much too long for my liking.
I reach forward and pull her away before he starts taking her clothes off. She's mine.
I give him a look that lets him know who she belongs to and he regards me silently.
"And you must be Cato," he mutters.
"Her boyfriend."
The Mayor hums and ignores me once again. I wrap an arm around Rose's side so that he can't take her away again.
The Mayor reaches forward and takes her hand, patting it gently.
Where the fuck is my machete?
"Well, we've got everything set up, hopefully to your liking. It's only the best for the most desired person in all the nation."
He lets go of her hand and leads us to where Rose is going to be prepped. There are two Peacekeepers following behind us.
I lean down to Rose's ear while no one is looking.
"You fucking wait until tonight. I'm going to prove to you who you belong to," I whisper angrily. Every man wants her, but I'm going to show her who has her.
Her eyes widen and then she's blushing.
We make it to a huge room, equipped with everything the prep team would need to get her ready for her speech.
I finally let go of her, giving her space to roam, but I keep a close eye on the Mayor. He was young, maybe in his mid-thirties, and he was somewhat attractive for his age. He could easily lure her into his trap.
The man turns to Rose. "I hope this is everything you need. I'll see you in about ninety minutes."
Rose nods and Effie thanks the Mayor. He gives me a sneaky look and walks out, finally leaving us alone.
"Alright, Primrose darling. Why don't you remove your clothing so that the prep team can get to work?"
The prep team starts to set up the bed just like the one from the Games, the bed where they plucked every flaw off of us. I don't see why they need one for Rose, though. She doesn't have any flaws.
Prim starts removing her shoes and Effie starts walking out so the team can get to work.
She stops when she notices me taking a seat, picking up a remote to hopefully turn on a TV.
"Excuse me, Cato, but you need to give them their privacy."
"I'm not goin' anywhere," I respond, turning on the television. I'm not leaving Rose anywhere on her own.
Rose was in the middle of taking her shirt off when I turned to look at her. Her back was turned and she effortlessly swipes the cotton material over her head, giving me sight to those fucking hips. The deep curve from her tiny waist to her wide hips make me think dirty things.
Effie tutts at me but doesn't say anything more. She knows that she can't argue with me on this. I'm not moving. I've seen every inch of Rose's naked body. It's nothing new to my eyes.
"Whatever. I'll be back in about an hour with your speech prepared."
Rose turns to Effie with a frown. "Wait, I don't do my own speech?" she asks.
Effie shakes her head no. "Oh goodness no. I cannot let you ruin my reputation."
Effie waves her hand and walks out, closing the door behind her.
I watch Rose as she undresses. As soon as she's in her underwear, I can feel her uncomfort and uncertainty radiating off of her body. I know she's blushing, even though everyone in this room has seen what God so graciously gave her.
Rose slowly unhooks her bra and lets her God-sent chest free. I can very slightly see the sides of her chest and I cross my legs. She moves her hands to the tops of her underwear and pushes them off, looking down to step out of them. Her ass... fuuuccck.
She quickly jumps onto the bed, covering herself with the thin papery sheet.
I watch the TV, trying to distract myself from the fantasies in my mind while I the prep team gets her ready.
I couldn't get it out of my mind. Her on top, hips rolling into mine quickly. A thin sheam of sweat glistening on her perfect, soft skin. The way her hands would press into my chest, steadying herself while I held onto her hips, making her thrusts harder. Her blond hair falling over her chest softly.
I need to take my mind off of that. There's time for that later.
I watched TV, occasionally taking glances to make sure that Rose was okay. It was taking them way too damn long to get her ready. She could have went out there in her pajamas and still looked better than anyone here.
I wonder what Effie is going to prepare for her to say about Marvel and Glimmer.
Oh, now I know why Rose was so silent earlier. There could only be one reason, and that's because she killed Marvel. I remember that day. It was the first time I had spoken to her in the arena. She had shot an arrow into his head.
Shit, she must be so afraid to speak.
I was just about to get up and talk to her when Effie walked back in, notecards in her hand. Rose was getting her makeup done, sitting in her chair while silently staring at the mirror.
I bet she's thinking about Cinna as well. I know she misses him. She looked up to him like a father-figure, same with Haymitch, and now they were both gone. And now it's up to me to fill those heart vacancies.
This trip must be bringing up so many bad memories.
My dad, I miss him already. I know I never talked to him, but it calmed me to know that he was still in this world and he was being taken care of. It hurt so much seeing him shot right in front of my eyes. He died for me.
When I snap out of my thoughts, Rose is reading through her cards while the prep team dresses her in a white dress with a black jacket on top.
"Everything that you're expected to say about the Games and the tributes are already there," Effie tells Rose.
Rose nods. "Okay," she mumbles.
"Make sure you smile, and do not slouch!" Effie scolds Rose, who stands up straighter and sends Effie a sarcastic smile. "Better."
Effie starts pulling Rose out of the room, and back to the entrance where she would be giving her speech.
Rose stands back, waiting for them to call her onto the stage. Her legs were shaking and her face had gone pale. She must be so scared.
"Rose."
"Hm?"
"I'm right here, okay? I'm gonna be right here. I'll catch you if you fall."
She nods and takes a deep breath.
"No one is going to hurt you."
She was going to respond when Effie pulled Rose by her arm, straightened her clothes, and literally pushed her out onto the stage, exposing her to the cheering crowd. There were wolf-whistles, screams, and anything else you could possibly imagine. They were truly happy to see her.
Rose smiled just like Effie told her to, and stood in front of the microphone, clearing her throat.
After the cheering died down, she began to speak.
"Thank you."
"We love you!" someone yells from the crowd. Rose blushes and bites her lip.
"It brings me a great honor to be in your District today, standing before you as your Victor of the 74th Hunger Games. It was a struggle, but I would not have been able to make it out without knowing of the support I had from all of you."
The crowd breaks into a cheer again. Rose continues to read from the cards, her voice still a little shaky.
"My victory has brought me so much, things that I would never imagine to have happened to me. But I knew what I had to do in order to bring honor to my family, my District and my nation."
She pauses for a little while, and I almost think she's going to pass out for a second. After a bit, she continues.
"I had such huge competition, two of my biggest being Marvel and Glimmer." Rose looks up to Glimmer's and Marvel's families, watching as they wept silently from the loss of their children. "I know it's hard to believe, but I enjoyed having the two as competition. They taught me how to be strong, how to defend myself and never give up, especially when fighting against such extraordinarily tough opponents."
"What on earth is she doing?" Effie asks.
It takes me two seconds to realize that she's no longer reading from the cards.
"I send my deepest apologies to Marvel's family. I know that it was tough to watch what I did to your son, and from the bottom of my heart, if I did not have to do so, I would have never done anything to hurt him. I am grateful for him, and Glimmer, teaching me lessons in life that I will never let go."
Rose's voice shakes and I think she is about to cry.
"Thank you all for giving me this opportunity and I hope that I meet all of the expectations for a great Victor."
There is silence before the crowd erupts into a loud applause, cheering and whistling for my baby girl.
Once they die down, the Mayor comes back out. There's a chair put in place for Rose to sit down and they're giving her water.
"We have enough time, how about some questions from you all? I know you're dying to know what Panem's sweetheart has been up to."
People start jumping up and down in the hopes that she would pick them to ask her a question.
The major points to someone and the person steps forward.
"How are your mother and sister dealing with the fact that you are away from home, especially being so young?"
Rose frowns. "Well, unfortunately, my sister Katniss is no longer in this world with me." She pauses to take a breath. I swear, if she cries, I'm running out there. "But I think my Mother is learning to live with it. Of course, now she's alone, so hopefully we can find a way to let her come to the Capitol with me."
Rose points to someone else in the crowd, a girl of maybe 13 years old. "Can we please see Cato?" she asks with a smirk and a little giggle. "We're all dying to meet him." The girl places a hand over her heart.
Shit, I have that effect on younger chicks, too?
Rose turns to Effie and raises an eyebrow, and then I'm being shoved onto the stage by Effie.
I hear the squeals of every pre-pubescent girl in the nation. I wave, smile, and stand next to Rose in her seat. Some girls tries to throw herself onto the stage to get to me, but gets pulled away by a Peacekeeper. She's a crying mess. Fuck, I'm a celebrity.
Rose leans forward and closes her hand around mine, giving me a tight squeeze. She finally starts to relax. The crowd 'awws' and I roll my eyes.
Another person raises her hand for a question. "Is there a marriage and kids in the future for the two of you?" she asks excitedly. The crowd cheers in agreement.
Rose looks at me with wide eyes and I feel my cheeks burn.
"Um, I think it's a little too early to be thinking about that right now," Rose answers.
I haven't even properly fucked her yet and marriage is already in question? That's a little too fast for my taste.
Another girl raises her hand. "Is the sex good? I'm sure Cato knows how to give it to you good," she says while twirling her hair.
Oh, fuck.
Effie scurries out onto the stage. "It's been great here, but we really must go. Our little star has a busy schedule, and we cannot be late."
Everyone screams as we hurriedly walk off of the stage and run to the train before the crowd can reach us and surround Rose.
Once we're inside and on our way, Rose starts to laugh.
This is what the tour is going to be, huh? A bunch of horny little girls and unsatisfied hard-ons.

To celebrate that and the upcoming 100K, I'm writing and publishing this early. I honestly don't really like it, but it's the best I could do on short notice, so I hope you like it.
Are any of you any good at edits? If so, please send me some. I would love to see them.
