Chapter 9: The List

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday…the three day examination is about to end in about two hours. All students are now taking their last and final exam for the school year. And once the two hours has ended, it is definite that all students would be running out excited and cheering, for finally summer is ON.

AFTER TWO HOURS

YEAHHHH!

YAHOOOOO!

AHHHHHH! SUMMER!

Levy's POV

Yeah hey! Finally! Examinations are done! Even if I love reading and studying, I still love relaxing myself in the beach!

"Levy-Chan let's go! I'm excited to start summer!" A blunette called out to me that made me step out of my thoughts, "Yes! Yes, I'm coming!"

"What were you thinking back there in your seat?" Juvia asked me as we walked down the hall. "Well, I was just thinking how excited I am for this summer vacation…I really can't wait what will happen this year!"

"Me either! I have been planning what I and Gray will be doing together in their resort…" Juvia said to me as she cuddled herself imagining the scene. And as for me, I imagined our plan too…

Me and Gajeel will be hanging out in the bon fire and cuddle and-

"Levy!"

"Wha-what?" I said as I suddenly noticed Juvia's hands were in front of me waving. "You're spacing out again…"

"Me? No…"

"Oh forget it! I know you! You're dreaming about your boyfriend again" Juvia stated before she speeded up her pace away from me. And for me, I finally realized what she meant. Soon enough I was trying to chase my friend.

DRAGNEEL'S HOUSEHOLD

"Musuko (Son), how many will be coming tonight?" Grandine asked as she looked at his son passing by. And with that question, Natsu stopped and looked at his mother. "Um…Not quite sure."

"Well then be sure…Count them if you have too." As his mother suggested counting, the pinkette instantly counted how many people will be going in this summer get away. Natsu was definitely having a hard time counting since he can't remember whom he has counted already.

As the mother and son stayed in the living room trying to know the number of people coming, the door bell suddenly rang. "I'll get it!" Wendy called out as she walked towards the door. As she stood there and opened the big door, a certain blonde stood there with plenty baggage in the floor. "Lucy-nee! You're here! Let me help you!"

"Thanks Wendy…Where's your brother? He should be the one helping me…" Lucy said as she picked up the bigger bag on the floor. Wendy did not bother to reply to the blonde but instead called out for her brother, "Oni-san! Lucy-nee is here already!"

And before Wendy could call out again, Natsu was now grabbing the bag Lucy was holding which surprised the blonde. "Whoa, I can handle that, why don't you help your sister." Lucy said as she tried grabbing the bag again from Natsu. But no avail, he was too strong to give it back to her, "No…Why don't you grab it from her and I carry your heavy bag. And what's inside this? Full of bra?"

Lucy then slapped the pink haired teen in the head while blushing with his statement, "Not just those! My daily clothes are there too, you know!"

"Okay…I was just kidding!" Natsu said as he walked pass his mother. But for Lucy, she stopped to Grandine and gave a greeting kiss to her cheek. Soon enough, they were in Lucy's room, fixing it for it will be used as the bedroom for some of the other girls.

"Hey Luce, can you help me count who will be coming in the vacation?" Natsu asked as he lay down in Lucy's bed staring at the ceiling. A minute later, Lucy bounced herself in the bed, half her body on top of Natsu, "Sure…you got paper and pen?"

"What for?"

"We'll jot them down so that we won't miss anyone…" Soon enough, Natsu grinned to the lady on top of him and rolled himself on top of her. Lucy who got surprised with her best friend's action just lay under blushing, "N-Na-Natsu…W-wha-what are you doing? W-Wendy might see us again…"

"I'm not doing anything…And why are you stuttering?" Natsu teased as he stared at the tomato face under him, "A-am I? Well, maybe because-"

"I was just go get the paper and pen, you weirdo…" And with that Natsu stepped down from bed and grabbed some paper and pen in the desk that was across the bed. Lucy on the other hand suddenly released all the air that she was unconsciously holding.

Soon enough, Natsu sat down again in the bed as he handed the paper and pen to the blonde. Lucy accepting the objects, sat herself in bed and started writing in the paper. "Ohhhkay…So first things first, We write down…Gray"

"Why?!"

"Um…because it's their resort where we will be staying?" Lucy said as she looked at Natsu with a snooping look. With the look she gave to him, Natsu just looked away pouting. Lucy then continued herself writing down names, "Of course, Juvia is along with him…Next is Levy with…Gajeel. Then Jellal with Erza…Who else?"

"Loke and Aries…"

"Okay…How about Lissana?" Lucy asked as she looked up to her friend, "She is going with Sting" Lucy then nodded as she started writing it down. Without taking her eyes away from the paper she asked, "Hey Natsu…Don't you get jealous when Lissana is with another guy?"

"Nope…I knew she liked me and she was our childhood friend, but…I never had any romantic feelings for her."

"Really? But you find her pretty, right? Didn't you ever like her?" Lucy asked again for she didn't believe in any of his words, "Yeah she is pretty…But I didn't like her more than a friend. Why are you asking this?"

"Nothing…Anyways, who else?"

"I think that's it…" Lucy then hands the paper to him and waited for him to just talk. "Alright! We are done! All we have to do is wait for them…So what do you want to do?"

Before Lucy could reply, someone knocked on the door. Natsu called out to open the door and a maid stood and bowed before the door. "Some other guests have arrived. They are now at the living room with Madame."

"Alright, Thanks Maria…" And with that the maid bowed once again before she closes the door. Lucy and Natsu just then stared at each other before Lucy broke the silence, "Well they are here…I guess we can't do things just the both of us…"

Without waiting for her best friend's reply, she stood up and headed out of the room. Natsu didn't move an inch even if the blonde has already stepped out of the room. He then just thought before standing up, just wait for my surprise Luce…We can do things together even if other people are around us.

I know that there is nothing much yet in this chapter but it's just the beginning. In the upcoming ones, well they could be either already there or in the road…Do you want a chapter about their road trip going to the resort? After all they are a lot and most of them are "couples"… (AWKWARD MOMENTS FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT! ;))
