Chapter 14: Hoping

LUCY'S POV

"Good morning sunshine~" a female voice cooed to me as I shifted from my bed. But for the record, I knew it was morning already because I felt the sun in my face but I'm still too tired to wake up.

Then another voiced called out as I felt my bed moving as if someone sat next to my legs. "Hey Blondie wake up!" Then someone pulled my blanket away which really surprised so I had to wake up.

"Alright I up…" I said as I opened my eyes still lying in bed. I scanned the room and saw all my girlfriends are awake besides me and all of them are in their bikini "Good morning guys"

"Good morning!...So how was your night with him?" Levy suddenly asked as she walked towards me carrying a mug.

I then took the mug as I sat down in my bed and stared back at her, "Who him? I wasn't drunk last night…"

"Yeah you weren't…But he was with you." Lissana answered me back as she smiled at me really wide. I then wondered what they were talking about. "Who are you talking about?"

"Natsu you silly girl! He brought you here in your room." Juvia suddenly said as she stood next to Erza who was just smiling at me. And for me, I was trying to recall last night. And all I could remember was I leaned down to Natsu's shoulder and said something then boom. I'm asleep.

"Nothing happened, I just fell asleep. Anyways…So what's our agenda today? You're all dressed up for the beach…" I started a new conversation 'cause I know we will get nowhere if we kept on talking about 'my last night'.

"Well, the boys had their own plan which we don't know…But who cares" Erza answered my question before she turned her back at me and went towards my closet. "Yeah…So we were planning to 'boy hunt' for you!" Juvia then continued for our red haired friend

"Boy hunt? What for?" I asked again as I got curious of their weird plan

"Yep boy hunt…because as you said you didn't have other option besides Natsu…so we'll look for one." Levy said back to me as she gave me a grin.

"And as I looked around Lucy-san, there are a lot of handsome guys…" Aries added as she nodded her head to me which made me think she was weird.

"Oh-kay…fine. I'm ready to mingle."I affirmed to them I was ready to do this and with that statement of mine, my friends cheered and I started to change.

NORMAL POV

As the girls walked around the shore, they have encountered countless handsome college guys. From time to time, they would chat to those boys and for some, they would flirt to them (for Lucy). Aries, Lissana and Lucy would be in one group chatting to the two handsome guys while Juvia, Levy and Erza would be sitting quite away from them.

As Levy stared at the other group, she suddenly asked a question to no one in particular, "Won't Natsu get mad if he sees this?"

"I guess this is the point of doing this…right?" Juvia said back without looking at the other blue haired girl

Erza then affirmed the two blue haired girls, "Yep…We have to trigger something to Natsu so that he would start doing something about Lucy."

"Alright…is this an only girl's plan?" Levy then looked at the red haired teen which made Erza look back

"No…it's a friends' plan. The boys are doing the same except that they are trying to help Natsu work on courting or pushing him to court Lucy."

"Really? So that means, we all came here for the two?" Juvia asked

"Exactly…But at the same time we are here to enjoy." Erza then smiled at the two before they all returned their attention to the three girls.

"So Kevin…Where are you going to study for college?" Lucy asked as she drank her strawberry smoothie while gazing at Kevin's awesome face.

"Well…I was planning to go to Magnolia's University. About you?" Kevin then leaned forward to somehow close the distance between him and Lucy

"Uh…Well I was planning to go to Fiore University with-"

"Me! Uh…Me and Lucy was planning to go to Fiore University. Right?" Lissana then looked at Lucy as if telling her to just agree

"Yeah…So are you like alone? Or with friends?" Lucy then changed topic as she leaned back to her chair

"Well I'm with friends like Jake here. So you girls available today? We can go to our room…"

"Uh…" Lucy then glanced at Lissana and Aries just looked at the two guys. So she looked back at the two male and suddenly felt a hand grabbing her hand.

"You know what Kevin…We gotta go. Right Lucy?" Lissana then stood up and looked at the blonde but found Kevin's hand to be holding Lucy.

Aries then stood up and tried to take Lucy's hand but the Jake stood up and said, "Why are you girls like in a hurry? It's not like we're going to do something bad to you. Unless-"

"We really have to go…" Lucy then stood up and tried to take her hand away but Kevin had a tight grip in her wrist.

As the other girls saw what was happening, Erza stepped in and began, "What's happening here?"

"Nothing miss…Are you friends with them?" Kevin then let goes Lucy and faced Erza fully and stepped closer. But Erza didn't back down and stared at him at the eye. As the girls started to crowd the area, a man suddenly broke in between Erza and Kevin.

"Excuse me. I think you're too close for my girlfriend's personal space." Erza then looked at the man in front of her. She didn't see the face but the tall blue haired man gave off who he was.

"Jellal." Erza whispered but the said man didn't look. Jellal just then continued his conversation with the other guy, "Leave before I do something violently to your pretty boy face."

And with that threat, the two guys left and started sprinting away from them. Jellal then faced Erza and smiled shyly, "You okay?'

"Yeah. Thanks." Erza then looked down to his bare chest and smiled by herself. But before she knows it, Jellal hugged her and walked away from the group.

"Okay…That was a fail. But that was heroic of Jellal. Right?" Lissana said as she looked at everyone but ended her gaze to Lucy. As she saw her, she was just staring at the retreating figure of the couple, "Lucy, you okay? I'm sorry if I made you feel afraid with what happened."

"No…Um, I just felt like…I wanted a relationship like Erza and Jellal have." Lucy glances from time to time the couple and Lissana. But when the couple was gone she looked straight to the white haired teen.

"I think I have an ideal guy." Lucy said as she looked at Lissana smiling and in return Lissana smiled, "Really? Like what?"

"A guy who would protect me, be…awesomely furious when someone is being a threat to me. Be a loving guy through actions and simple words."

"Am I hearing a guy's name?"

Lucy chuckled at her statement first before she cleared her throat and said back, "I don't know…But somehow I'm hoping, it would be him."
