Chapter 19: Under the beach umbrella
"NATSU DRAGNEEL! YOU WAKE UP THIS SECOND!"
The two sleeping friends suddenly woke up really surprised thinking there is some emergency after hearing that call.
"What fire?! Where!? Lucy!" Natsu shouted as he tried to scram from the blanket surrounding him.
Lucy started to brush off her sleep as she stared at the person standing to Natsu's side. She then taps her best friend to calm him down, "Natsu, its just Erza...Erza!"
Lucy's eyes grew big as she suddenly sat up straight and stared scared at the red haired teen. Natsu didn't get what the blonde said so he stared at her with inquisitive look.
"What did you say?...OWWWW!" Natsu suddenly shouted in pain as a stinging feeling he felt in his ears.
"SHE SAID ERZA! BAKA!" Erza leaned down shouting at Natsu's ear as she tweaked his ear.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!le-le-let go!" Natsu protested before being dragged out of bed, "ouch!"
"Erza! Stop!" Lucy claimed as she tried reaching for her friend to stop her but then she's too late for the two was already standing next to the bed.
"YOU BASTARD! WHY ARE YOU SLEEPING NEXT TO LUCY?!" Erza shouted as still held tightly Natsu's ear
"Quite shouting! I really have a sensitive ear you know!ow!ow!owwwwww!"
Erza pulled his ear really hard before releasing his ear and once she did she pushed him a bit and turned herself.
"Alright, sorry...BUT SERIOUSLY?! WHY?!"
"E-Erza...uh t-t-tone down your voice.." Lucy finally stood next to Erza as she handed some cold water to her. After that she walked towards the pinkette and smiled at him, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, thanks...did..did I do some..." Natsu suddenly asked quizzically as he stepped closer to the blondes ear
"No, you didn't do any stupid stuff" Lucy then smiled at him wide but then shivered when Erza suddenly called him, "Dragneel, I'm still talking to you."
"Uh right!" Natsu then turns while shivering in fear
"Lucy, can you leave us two first. Why don't you take a bath..." Erza then hands a towel to Lucy before slightly pushing her in, "but-but-"
Erza then closed the door as she pushed Lucy inside the bathroom. Once done, she turned herself and walked towards Natsu with her arms crossed under her chest.
"Look I didn't do anything to Lucy. I swear!" Natsu reasoned out as he stared the red haired beauty
"I know, I just wanted to talk to you about yourself." Erza then stood up straight before him
"Me? Wh-"
"And Lucy...Natsu I am serious about killing you if you ever hurt my friend"
"And I'm serious too about asking Lucy out. I know I maybe foolish at times-"
Erza then corrects him, "no, always."
"Fine, always. But I have no plans of hurting her. If I have to beat up myself for making her cry, I'll do so." Natsu then stood up straight with a serious face
"It will be an honor to beat you up until pulp." Erza then smiled warmly as she taps his shoulder making him quiver at the touch.
"Uh..no, I won't make it to that point. But wait, do you mean of making her cry...as in..."
"Of course baka! I meant making her heartbroken!" Erza bursts out as she puts her hands to her hips.
"Okay. Uh, that's it?" Natsu asked
"Yeah and you may leave now." Erza then points the door indicating to him to leave
"But-!"
"NOW!"
And with that Natsu ran out of the room screaming, "Ahhhhh! Ah wait Luce!" Natsu then shouted to Lucy, hoping she'd hear him, "Bye Luce! See ya later!"
That morning, the group decided to play on the beach. Everyone was on the water except for Natsu and Lucy. The two told them they'd follow after they have done putting sunblock on their skin.
So as the two helped each other put on some lotion, the two suddenly talked about the morning incident.
"So Natsu, what did you and Erza talked about?" Lucy asked as she rubbed some lotion on her arms
Natsu then looked at the blonde rubbing her arm then shook his head to focus on the question, "uh..nothing important."
"Nothing important? But why did Erza have to push me to the bathroom to leave you both?" Lucy continued to rub lotion on her legs as they conversed which made Natsu stare at her action but because of that, the pinkette didn't answer back.
"Natsu~, hey!" Lucy then snapped at Natsu which made him look at her in the eyes with a slight blush on his cheek.
"Huh what?"
"I said~ why did I have to be away if it was not that important?" Lucy then smiled at him before she began rubbing her legs again.
"I-I-I don't know." Natsu then looked away from her and her action because it just made him feel something weird as in inappropriate feeling.
"Oh-kay...Natsu?" Lucy then glanced at him and when she saw him look at her she began pulling off her sheer top and watched him turn tomato red.
"Lu-lu-lucy...what are..." Natsu stuttered trying to complete the sentence but then words were just lost all of a sudden when Lucy faced him fully
One hot sexy chick Lucy is right now...damn she makes me feel hot...what?!
"Natsu? Natsu? Snap it out!" Lucy began snapping at his face to get his attention again and when she did receiving a dazed look she showed the bottle of sunblock to his face.
"Please put some on my back!" The blonde then smiled cheerfully as he grabbed the bottle shaking.
As Natsu took the bottle, he suddenly realized his hands were shaking so he shook his head before opening the cap of the bottle. He squeezed some lotion out then stared at his hand with lotion and then to Lucy's flawless back.
"L-like this?" Natsu asked nervously as he began rubbing his hands to her smooth skin. Lucy then nodded as she smiled away from him.
"You know what, I find it weird that even if I know you're courting me, I don't find it weird that I ask you to do these things for me." Lucy then pulled her legs to her chest to hug it
"Maybe because you are familiar to me?" Natsu answered as he kept spreading the lotion to Lucy's back.
"Yeah maybe...do you think anything will change if we become official?"
"Are you saying were dating already?!" Natsu then leaned forward to look at Lucy but then he saw a glare from her saying 'no' so he sat back and continued.
"Sorry, misunderstood. Hmm..well something sure will change."
"Huh?like what?!" Lucy suddenly turned making Natsu's hand leave hanging close to her chest. Seeing his hand, Lucy then slapped his hand away then looked back
"Uh...we're going to begin to kiss, cuddle, make out..-"
"SHUT UP!" Lucy turned around and began hiding her head to her knees as Natsu began rubbing some more lotion to her back, "You know what that's what couples do..they even-"
"Don't you dare say the 'S' word!" Lucy then gawked at him which he gave a surrender hands
"Alright, alright. But honest to goodness, that's what's going to change."
"Well besides that...what else?"
"Nothing. I assure you that." Natsu then hands Lucy the bottle back and sat in front of her, " well if I ever say yes to you. But i think I don't want to see myself making out with you or doing the 'S' word."
"What?! Why?!"Natsu then moved closer to the blonde which made her chuckle
Lucy then grabbed his face and held it in place and simpered warmly for a second, "I'm kidding. But I'll think about it. Just promise me-"
"Hi!"
A voice suddenly greeted the two in the middle of the seriousness of the conversation. So the two looked at the person and saw a little girl holding her bucket and shovel standing and grinning at them.
"Um, hi?" Natsu replied as he and Lucy stared at the kid
"Hello! My name is Asuka Connell!"
"Hello Asuka! My name is Lucy! What are you doing here alone?" Lucy then faced the kid fully and smiled at her genuinely.
"Well mama and papa is inside the hotel. But they said onii-chan would be here somewhere. So did you see onii-chan?" Asuka then sat down on Lucy's lap which Lucy gladly allowed
"Well what's onii-chan's name?" Lucy inquired but then was tapped by the pink head who whispered in her ear, "weren't we talking awhile ago?"
Lucy then shrugged him off and looked back at the kid's thinking face. Natsu then heaved as he jealously looked at the kid.
"Well, I don't know onii-chan's name! Yehay!" Asuka began clapping in excitement as she bounced up and down on Lucy's lap.
"Eh? Then how will we know if onii-chan is even here?"
"Hmm...mama said he had..." Asuka began her thinking face again with her finger tapping her chin, "Ah! Pink! Pink head!"
"As in him?" Lucy then points at Natsu who only gave her a curious look
"Yes! Yes! Mama said onii-chan will watch me for the mean time!" Asuka then stood up and handed the bucket and shovel to Natsu who got surprised fully, "what?! Me?! I don't even know you!"
"Me too!" Asuka began clapping again as she began swaying her hips in joy
"Haha, Asuka this is your Natsu-nii. I think you both will get along well!" Lucy said enthusiastically as looked at the two.
Natsu began hiding behind Lucy as he peeked to look at the kid, "but Luce! We were suppose to spend the day just the two of us!"
"There's always next time! But for now, be a real onii-chan to Asuka!" Lucy then stood up as she grabbed the little girls hand
"But I don't even know her parents! People might say-"
"Just shut it! It's Mrs. Bisca's little girl and Mr. Alzack's!"
"What?! But why me?!"
"Because its you..." Lucy and Asuka then began walking towards a larger space in the beach and began working on a sand tower.
"Uhhh! This is so not my day..." Natsu exclaimed tiredly as he sat down next to the two girls.
