Oliver was going over a file he had brought back from Melbourne when movement at his assistant's desk drew his eye. It was the head of IT, Charlie. He put the file down and walked to the door. "Were you looking for me?"

"Oh,um, Mr Queen-"

"Charlie, I see you almost every day. You can call me Oliver." He said trying to put the older man at ease. "Come on in." He held the door open as Charlie walked through before they made their way back to Oliver's desk. "Now, how can I help?"

"Well, it's um, I was wondering if you knew whether or not Felicity was coming to work today." Oliver's intuition started to prickle.

"I don't see any reason why she wouldn't be, though I haven't spoken to her this morning. I assume she didn't call in sick?" Charlie shook his head.

"She never misses work. The rare time she does I usually get both a call and an email from her, this morning, nothing." Oliver was quickly moving from intrigued to worried. Felicity's boss continued. "I just thought maybe you might know since, well." Oliver nodded.

"She might have just overslept. I'll call her and let you know when I hear anything. But in the meantime I would maybe log this as a sick day since we both know she has plenty." Charlie stood and the men shook hands. "Thanks for letting me know."

Oliver texted Felicity first, asking her to call either him or Charlie when she got the message. He called her apartment next. She had a landline almost exclusively for the door buzzer but it didn't have caller ID so she would have to pick up. Nothing. He called Robin, asking her to call the other girls to see if any of them had heard from her, then Diggle. He called Felicity's cell phone between each call. Just as he was starting to get really concerned, a call from an unknown number came through on his phone. Oliver picked it up suspiciously. "Hello?"

"Oliver Queen, you have been found guilty by the court of the Glades." An automated voice answered him.

"Where is she?"

"Ms Smoak is in our custody. She is currently unharmed."

"What do you want?" Oliver's teeth and fists were clenched in rage. " I'm a resourceful man. We can reach an understanding."

"What we want Mr Queen, is you to suffer, like our city has suffered." The call disconnected. Oliver put the phone down and kicked his chair in aggravation. The commotion startled his assistant on the other side of the glass wall. He walked to the door and opened it quickly.

"Alissa, I need you to get Detective Lance, Tommy Merlyn and my sister on the phone. In that order. He closed the door and picked up his cell phone. He texted Diggle as Alissa forwarded the first call.

"Detective Lance, I need to report a kidnapping. Someone's taken Felicity."

Felicity woke up and immediately noticed two things. The first was that that she wasn't just sitting against a pipe, she was tied to it. The second was that the kidnappers had taken her glasses. That second thought vaguely impressed her. It was an excellent way to make it harder for her to identify them. She decided this moment was the perfect embodiment of the last year. In the face of imminent danger she was critiquing their technique. The absurdity made her laugh.

The door opened and a figure entered. As it got closer she could make out that it was one of the hoods from earlier. He was carrying a bottle of water. He cracked the seal in front of Felicity before raising it to her lips.

"Thanks." She said after she finished. "Now, if I may ask, what the hell do you want from me? I can guess, but I'm still a bit groggy from getting drugged and dragged off the street. Considering that's your fault I think you owe me an explanation." Her eyes darted around the room trying to make out any familiar symbols or marks.

"We want the Queens to pay." He sounded young.

"Ok so the standard unmarked bills and a private jet and I'm out of here?" She asked.

"They aren't buying their way out of this one. The city demands justice."

"And that means what exactly? " He turned and left without answering. Felicity sat there alone, trying to work out what kind of justice he meant. She heard a gun go off, and then another. They were being fired deliberately. It was target practice. If their kind of justice involved guns, she needed to get out quickly.

"So if what you're telling me is correct, and for once I'm pretty sure that it is, they took Ms Smoak to punish you." Oliver nodded.

" They called themselves the Court of the Glades. They said I needed to suffer like the city had suffered."

"What are the odds that this is connected to the groups that were trying to hack the companies' systems?" Tommy asked. "The group that puts the Vigilante's picture all over the place?"

" It's possible" Lance admitted. "Kidnappings, muggings, vandalism is all on the rise, but not in the Glades. People think they are filling the hole the Vigilante left. As crazy as we thought he was? They're worse." He turned to Tommy. "Where's Laurel?"

"Oliver's bodyguard went to get her at work. She's going to stay with Thea and Roy at the Queens' place." Lance nodded.

" I'm going to send a couple of extra officers to help out. Just in case." He got up to leave but turned to Oliver. "We'll find her . She doesn't deserve this." The younger man nodded in thanks. Thea got up and poured herself a water as Lance left.

"Looks like a little good will didn't get us as far as we thought." She said bitterly. " I can't say I blame them, I haven't forgiven her yet either and She's my mother."

"So Felicity had it coming?" Oliver snarled. " Would you feel that way if it was Roy out there?"

"That's not what I meant." Thea backtracked. "What I'm saying is we can't expect a few cheques to fix all this."

"That's a conversation for after we get her back." Tommy refereed. "Speedy, why don't you and I go back to the house and get everyone caught up." He tossed Oliver a look. "I'm sure Oliver has a few things to take care of." Oliver hugged his little sister before sending her off . He texted Diggle for the third time in a couple of hours. He looked at the message, surprised to see words he never thought he would use again.
