Chapter 21: Serenade

It is already midnight and all of Natsu's friends are asleep for they had a big volleyball game that day. Natsu on the other hand just came in holding a small guitar in his hand. As he entered his hotel room, Gajeel was snoring away in his dream land already. So the pinkette made sure not to make a sound when he goes to his bed.
Natsu successfully lay his new bought guitar in his bed and open his laptop as he sat checked on his friend one more time before he began typing whatever he is looking for.
After a 15 minute snoring of Gajeel, the blank haired teen began shifting in his bed and suddenly saw a faint light to his side. So he tried opening his eyes and saw the salmon pinkette reading his laptop while trying to strum his ukulele.
"Oy flame butt...what are you doing?" Gajeel suddenly asked as he lifted himself by his forearm
"I'm just going to ignore you and pretend not to hear you cause I'm sure I woke you up" Natsu replied without looking at his roommate
"Is that porn?" Gajeel teased as he smirked wickedly
"What?! This is not porn! Unlike you!" Natsu snapped
"Hey! Who said I watch porn?!"
"No one...but I saw you." Natsu said the last word whispering but at the same time pointed at him with an evil grin
"What?! I do not! When did you see me then huh?!"
"Last week in the bathroom...with your phone." Natsu replied as he continued what he was doing
"Liar!-I'll just go to sleep and be quiet or I'll kick your ass!" Gajeel then slumps himself in bed again
Natsu just chortled as he saw his friend sleep again. As he kept on reading he suddenly commented making the other teen to wake up in fright, "I'll tell Levy about it-"
"The hell you're not!"
"Oh, you're awake again" Natsu then looked down at his laptop as he scrolled on his mouse pad
"Okay fine you caught me...now your using it to blackmail me. What do you need?" Gajeel finally sat and and stared at the pinkette
"Well I wasn't planning to use it but then I need help. I will be doing something grand for my babe."
"You got a babe?" Gajeel gave off a curious look but then laughed when Natsu then turned pink
"Just shut up and help me with my plan!" Natsu then looked away trying to hide his blush but too bad he was really flushed.
That morning when the sun was finally up, all the girls were out in the beach already to bathe in the salt water. All Lucy's girl friends were paired up with their lovers and with that view, she felt envious.
But to her surprise, Levy was walking alone as well who was trailing behind her. So she stopped and waited for the blunette to walk along her and once she did Lucy greeted her, "Hey Levy-chan where's Gajeel?"
"Morning Lu-chan, Gajeel's still asleep..."
"Really? Was he that tired yesterday that until now he's still in bed?" Lucy asked as she looked out at the beach
"Well no...he said he was awake around 1:50 because of Natsu." Levy then rubs her eyes to clear out her vision
"Because of Natsu? Then I assume he is asleep too?" Lucy's head crooks to the side before glancing at her friend
"Yeah, he barely even heard me scream at the front door when they wouldn't open up"
"Well that's him!" Lucy then smiles genuinely as she thought of her best friend
"Are you now in love with Natsu?" Levy suddenly asked as they reach the beach chairs facing the shore
Lucy blushed as she eyed her friend who only gave a serious look while taking a seat, "L-Levy...why are you asking that question a-all of a s-s-sudden?"
"Nothing, I'm just asking...and why are you all flustered and stuttering? Unless..." Levy then smirks wittily
"Okay you're being mean to me now Levy-chan!" Lucy whined as she hid her face from the petite girl
"I'm not...I just want truth, that's all" Levy then puts on her shades as she rests her head to the beach chair
"Well, I've always been... I guess in love with...N-Natsu" Lucy whispered making sure no one could hear even the blunette
Lucy thank the heavens for not letting Levy hear her because she is sure to be teased about it. Luckily, as she confessed the truth Levy fell asleep quickly. Thank you God!
"Hey baby, I got to go Natsu is calling all the guys inside." Sting said as he wraps his arms to Lissana's bare stomach
"Why? Did something happen? Why do you have to go?" Lissana whined as she twirls around to face her half naked boyfriend
"I don't know what's up but don't worry I'll go down when I find it stupid...okay?" Sting then leans to kiss his girlfriend in the lips
But the moment they kissed, Lissana then traps him in her embrace as she wraps her arms to his neck and deepen the kiss. The two was now lip locking by the shore when Loke suddenly called out, "Hey Sting! Let's go! Make out with your girlfriend later!"
Sting waved him off without breaking the kiss. As the orange haired teen walked away, the couple then smiled while kissing until they broke the kiss to breathe.
"Alright you go...but you promise to go down quickly if that meeting is senseless." Lissana said as she wraps her arm again to his neck before he lightly pecks his lips
"Promise."
Soon enough all the guys were now in Natsu and Gajeel's room huddled in he living room. Gajeel was in the sofa covering his face with his forearm while the others sat on the floor munching on some chips Natsu brought out.
After munching some food Gray then clears his throat and began to ask, "Oi ash brain, why'd you call us here?"
"Because Ice princess, I have a plan that needs to be executed with your help." Natsu replied as he walked in with a jar of juice then puts it down on the coffee table
"Plan? What kind of plan?" Jellal asked before grabbing a glass of orange juice
"Serenade"
Natsu then walks out of the living room and went to his room and brought out the ukulele. As he walks back to his friends, everybody except Gajeel gave a questioning look
"Do you even know how to play that?" Gray inquired as he pointed at the musical instrument
"Well I'm still in the process but it won't be hard since I know how to play guitar." Natsu defended as he lays his instrument down
"They are two different kind you idiot!" Gray retorted
"Hey Gray don't you play this instrument for your girlfriend?" Sting suddenly asked as he took the instrument and began strumming the stings
"Y-yeah I do." Gray began to blush making all the guys laugh except Gajeel for he was asleep
"Alright it's set! Gray you're going to teach me to play that instrument good. And we are going to form a one night band!" Natsu exclaimed as he lifted his fist in the air
All the guys then lifted their fist as well as they cheered. They all began laughing until they realized Gajeel was not laughing with them. Natsu then crossed his arms over his chest then stared at the sleeping punk, "Hand me some juice guys..."
The sun was about to set when Jellal told Erza about Natsu's plan. And with that Erza instructed everyone except the blonde in what to do for the surprise plan. All the girls made sure that Lucy would not have any suspicion about what is to come so from time to time, the girls took time to hang out with the blonde beauty.
Time has finally come; night sky is out, candle light dinner tables are out and full of pink and yellow tulips decorated in the place.
"Aries, where's Lucy?" Erza asked as she called on the pink haired beauty in the phone
"She's with Lissana inside our hotel room. Is everything set?" Aries asked back
"In a bit...but for now, change already for the dinner surprise."
"What kind of clothing? Formal or semi?"
"Semi would be good, not too fancy not too simple as well. I'll be changing soon, just need to check on our boys."
"Alright, see you then later!" Aries then hangs up
As the call ended, Juvia and Levy was walking towards the scarlet haired beauty. The two then smiles seeing Erza look at them, "Juvia and Levy has finished their task. Everything is ready, the catering is all set."
"Good. How about the stage and the instruments the guys would be using?"
"All done. The staff has fixed it and brought down the instruments from the music hall." Levy then smiled cheekily
"Okay, lets go check on the guys then lets change for the event!"
And with that the three beauties walked towards the hotel music hall and checked on the boys. And once they saw that they were all dressed and ready they went back to their rooms and changed.
"What's the event today? Why are we all dressed up gorgeously?" Lucy then giggles along with others as she walked with her friends
"Erza said there is a band that would be playing." Lissana replied as she grabs Lucy's arm
"And I heard it's a one night band performance only!" Aries added as she grabbed Lucy's other arm
"Well if its a band, shouldn't we be wearing party clothes?" Lucy questioned
"Silly! Not all band has to be about party..." Lissana answered before the three all giggled as they madeit to the venue
As the three arrived, Erza, Juvia and Levy were now in their sexy dresses showing their curves. Juvia waved as she saw the three, "Lucy! Lissana! Aries! Over here!"
"Hey there sexy!" Lissana commented as she came face to face with Juvia
"You look hot in that dark blue dress of your Juvia!" Lucy complimented
"Thanks! I wanted to make sure Gray-sama's eyes are on me!" Juvia replied before chuckling with the others
"Come on you guys, lets all seat already." Aries stated as she began tagging Lucy to walk
"But...but the tables are for two only." Lucy then looks at all the table and sees other people seated with their partner
"Well duh! It's a date night!" Levy commented as she stands in front of the blonde
"A date?! But I got no date!"
"Yeah right! He has pink hair? Lean body? Toothy grin?" Levy described as she looked at the blonde who was blushing faintly
"Alright lets take our seats before we ran out of tables." Erza then walks away and so as the others.
As Lucy's friends walk towards a table, thats the only time she realize the table left was in the middle and all of her friends' table are on the side. But since she had no choice, she sat down and stared at the stage.
"Hey Juvia, I just suddenly realize, if this was a date night, where are 'our' dates?" Lucy asked as she leaned towards the blunette who only smiled
But before Juvia could answer, a strumming of ukulele began. And with that Lucy leaned back to her chair and stared at the all black stage.
Natsu began to sing while playing the ukulele as he stepped out abit and stood at the faint spot light"There's no way to say this song's about someone else

Soon percussion was heard and it appeared to be Sting playing behind Natsu who continued to sing,"Someone please pass me my shades

Natsu stared at Lucy who was now all red. He kept his boyish grin making her heart flutter,"Yet I'm feeling like

And with that the lights in the stage all turned on showing all of the 'dragon slayers',

They're just dressing to impress

Suddenly a spot light hits Lucy which surprised almost everybody while giggling because of the sweetness,Yet I'm feeling like

The lights then dimmed as Natsu walks towards Lucy and sang to her face to face. A moment later, a waiter came behind Natsu and handed a bouquet of flowers. And soon Natsu took it and gave it to Lucy who was now all red

After handing the flowers he ran back to the stage and decided to end the song,

Moments later after the audience clapped and cheered, Natsu took the microphone and stood straight then stared intensely to Lucy, "Will you be my date tonight Lucy?"
