Chapter 22: Couples

When Natsu ended his song while pointing at Lucy, the spot light was only focused on them. After the audience clapped and cheered, Natsu took the microphone and stood straight then stared intensely to Lucy, "Will you be my date tonight Lucy?"

"I never thought you would have guts to do that." Lucy commented as she stared at Natsu who was eating his heart out

Natsu then stopped from eating and looked at Lucy with a curious look, "We-well...it's your fault."

"My fault? Since when?" Lucy asked back as she questioned him

"Since you made me decide to court the girl I like." Natsu then smiled warmly making Lucy all warm inside

"Well then I'm glad that I did that to you..."

"Why?"

"Because I loved what you did." Lucy then smiled back making Natsu this time blush

As he did, he looked away and stared at the beach. With his actions, Lucy began to wonder so she leaned closer until she noticed the red cheeks the pinkette have.

"Are you blushing?" Lucy asked without leaning back to her seat

With her asking, Natsu suddenly looked back at Lucy but got surprised when he met Lucy's face so close. As in close like their lips may touch with just one more move. Realizing how close Lucy is, Natsu suddenly sat further from his seat while getting redder.

"Hmp...Can't believe Natsu can get all flustered with that closeness..." Lucy mumbled as she sat back to her seat while smiling proudly.

"Hey! It was-"

"I didn't ask you to explain..." Lucy smiled again wickedly making Natsu irritated but then changed when Lucy smiled warmly

"Just kidding...thanks for making me experience this."

"Uhh...of course." Natsu then sat forward as he looked at the blonde's eyes, "Hey, do you remember my request before?"

"Before? Hmmm..." Lucy began to think hard while she tapped her chin cutely

"Uhh, reviewing before exam? A date at the house?"

"Ah! That one...the-"

"Second date...do you remember?" Natsu questioned as he looked worried

"Yes...Why? What's with it?"

"Well...This is our second date." Natsu then sat up straight as he waited for Lucy to answer or more likely to shout. But what surprised him was that Lucy blushed as she smiled really happy and she nodded.

"Then I'm loving our second date."

"Really?!"

"Yes"

"Yes! W-w-wait! There's more..." Natsu cheered while leaping in his seat

"What?" Lucy half giggled and half smiled

"Chocolate and mint ice cream is to be served." Natsu then snapped his fingers as he lifted his arm in the air

Soon enough a waiter came holding a tray with two tall glasses of ice cream. The waiter then gave the two the glasses then bowed before leaving. Lucy was so stunned with everything happening making her all excited and happy. So with her purest intention, she leaned forward and gave the pinkette a kiss in the cheeks.

"Thanks Natsu...You made me happy."

Meanwhile, as the two were having a good date, Levy and Gajeel were having their special moment as well as a couple.

From time to time, Levy would be glancing at her friends and smile. Then after, she would be staring at Gajeel while resting her chin in both of her hands.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Gajeel asked before putting the spoon in his mouth

"Nothing..." Levy said back still a smile is plastered in her face

"No seriously..."

"Fine...Just wondering." Levy then gave a semi-serious look making Gajeel nervous at some point

"W-wondering? 'Bout what?"

"How I fell in love with you?" from a serious facade Levy then smiled as she noticed the uneasiness of her boyfriend with her question, "Don't worry it's not that bad..."

"W-what? I...I-"

"Relax Gajeel! You're all stuttering!" Levy commented as she now smiled happily seeing her boyfriend all flustered and nervous

"No I'm not! I'm just..You know!"

Levy just then laughed at Gajeel while the punk blushed harder, "I love seeing you like this...you rarely show this side of yours."

"Well because..."

"No need...I love just the way you are. Mysterious..Scary..Strong..And secretly sweet" Levy then leaned close and gave the teen a kiss in the lips

After that moment, Levy sat back and stared at Gajeel who just looked at her with pure love in his eyes.

"I love you Levy."

"You rarely say that."

"Well yeah...I kinda lack the affection." Gajeel then looked down at his laps as he quietly smiled to himself

"Not really...You just have the right affection for me. And I'm loving it...I love you Gajeel."

"Love you too."

As the two stared at each other's eyes, a blunette suddenly approached making the two surprised, "Hey you two love birds! Come on let's dance!"

Juvia was then pulled by Gray as he walked towards the center of the place. Gray then pulled harder making Juvia spin but was caught by the teen then started dancing along to the sweet mellow.

"Shall we?" Gajeel then extended his hands to the petit beauty

Levy smiled widely as she was moved by his gesture. Soon enough she grabbed his hand and stood. Soon enough the couple was dancing in the dance floor so close and so sweet.

"Thanks Gajeel for dancing with me…" Levy stated as she rested her head to Gajeel's hard chest

"Well I only dance with you…because no one can make me besides you." Gajeel then tightens his hold to his girlfriend's tiny waist.

As they kept on dancing, Levy suddenly stopped making the punk stop too and look down at his girlfriend, "What's the matter?"

Levy looked at him in the eyes as she listened to his question. But instead of answering him, she just tip toed and gave a sweet long kiss.

At that moment, everything seemed to stop for Gajeel and Levy. They didn't care with the people around them as they secluded themselves in their world as they shared a lovely kiss. Friends of the two gave a glance at them and all they thought was that they are the longest and one of the sweetest couple they have known.

Gajeel and Levy was one of the first couple who admitted their feelings for each other. Well before that happened, Gajeel was known in school to be a scary mean punk. He would always prank students and would always be in trouble making him have detention. On the other hand, Levy was one of the kindest students in Fairy Academy. Lucy and Levy would always volunteer to help the teachers in giving some remedial classes. But one day, Levy was given the task of giving a recreational activity for detainees.

It was that day that Gajeel was detained for fooling a student. And that was their official meeting and getting along. At first Levy and Gajeel didn't get along for the beauty was being tormented by the punk.

And from that day on, Gajeel would always see the blunette walking in the corridor reading books or laughing with her friends. And the longer he sees her the more he gets interested with her. So, he tried to know her well by befriending her and her comrades.

And since then, Gajeel and Levy were always found together, eating snacks and simply just be alone with each other. News just came to their friends that they are finally dating and everyone was happy for the two. And from that on, couples began to pop out in their group of friends.

The night is finally deep and everyone started going back to their rooms. Everyone seemed to be in love and happy with everything they did for that night though they were obviously tired already. As they walk towards their rooms, all couples were holding hands while having some sweet whispering to each others. Lovers began saying their sweet good night's and kisses before entering their respected rooms.

As all of them entered, Lucy and Natsu were again then last one to enter their rooms. The two just stood in the middle of the hallways as they both looked down at their feet while blushing.

"Well…I uh, gotta go." Lucy finally talked after a long silence between them

"Right..uhh…Hope you had fun." Natsu replied as he exhaled deep then smiled at the blonde

"Of course…I did. Thank you again."

After Lucy replied, the two began to lean to give each other a kiss in the cheeks. However their movements seemed to be weird because the two moved at the same time and at the same direction. With that happening, the two couldn't give each other a kiss making them laugh at themselves.

"Alright we look stupid. Don't move." And with that Lucy leaned to Natsu's side and gave a peek to his warm cheeks.

"Uhh..good night." The hunk teen finally replied after Lucy stepped back after giving him a kiss in his cheeks.

Soon enough, Lucy turned her back to Natsu and grabbed her key to her door. The salmon haired teen watched as he waited for Lucy to open the door and enter. But before Lucy entered the room, Natsu called out one last good night, "Good night Luce! Uhh..sweet dreams."

"Good night…" Lucy replied as she looked at Natsu then closed her door

Staring at the closed door, Natsu released a deep breath and mumbled to himself, "Good night my love."

And with that, he turned his back, opened his door and went inside to sleep.
