Chapter 27: End of Vacation
As soon as the sun appeared in the sky, everyone was already up to ready themselves to leave. The vacation has finally reached its end and now the gang needs to go back to magnolia to get ready to go back to school but this time for college.
"Who knew that in few days we are to go back to school already?" Juvia asked to no one in particular as she stretched her arms up
"Well two months of vacation has ended and I just realized how long we have stayed here." Levy replied as she watched the beach from their balcony
"It feels like home already…" Juvia then gives a deep sigh as she leans forward to the ledge of the balcony
While the two blunettes took their time to reflect about their days in the beach, Lissana and Aries were in the beach sun bathing for the last time before they left the place.
"I'm going to miss this summer vacation…" Lissana stated as she kept still in her lying position
"Yeah me too…this is the time I got close to everyone." Aries replied who then sat up straight to look at the scenery before her, "I won't forget this best two months"
"Yeah… best summer ever." Lissana said as she sat up as well before looking at the pink haired beauty, "Thanks for being part of it."
The two then smiled at one another before they stood up to hug and then walked side to side back to the hotel to ready themselves to leave.
"What will you miss from this place Erza?" Lucy asked the scarlet haired girl who was fixing her things, "Me, everything…" Lucy continued before looking at the other girl
"Well, I'm going to miss my morning jogs in the beach with Jellal, its not like every morning we get to do that together…" Erza then walks up next to Lucy and looked at the blonde, "Are you excited to go back to Magnolia?"
"Yeah, of course… We've been away for two months and I miss my parents.." Lucy then looks back at the view as she stood up straight, "But this summer vacation has been the best…because of this summer vacation, I was able to express my feelings for Natsu and now he is my boyfriend."
"Well who can forget that very romantic show they did?" Erza then friendly bumps Lucy who chuckled despite blushing to the memory
"Very romantic…" Lucy then smiles to herself, "I can never forget that moment…"
"Oy, you're falling deeper for that pinkette…" Erza commented as she playfully teased the blonde who gave a surprised look, "Would you stop it, Erza? Your making me blush!"
"Haha, I was like that when me and Jellal got together and you guys started teasing us non stop." Erza countered but then the two just laughed together.
"Alright, is everyone here already?" Erza asked as she looked at her friends who were all standing behind her, "Count off guys!"
"One!" Levy shouted as she wrapped her arms to Gajeel's waist
"Two" Gajeel counted next
"Three, four" Loke exclaimed while resting his arms to Aries' shoulders
"Five!" Juvia cheered as she stood up straight after retrieving something from her bag on the floor
"What's that?" Gray asked as he looked at the blunette beauty but instead of a response, Juvia slapped his arm, "Gray count next…"
"Oh…Six"
"Goodness Gray, seven and Eight for me and Jellal" Erza shook her head towards the ink haired lad who just shrugged it off
"Me and Lissana, nine and ten." Sting said as the he and the silver haired beauty walked hand in hand towards their friends
"Okay…Who else? Are we just ten?" Erza started to recount silently but then keeps of getting the same number until they started to hear a far away shout
"WAIT!"
The gang then looks back to the entrance of the hotel and sees a blonde and a pinkette running towards them carrying their luggage.
"Guys! We're here!" Lucy shouted as she ran down the stairs
"Luce they wouldn't leave us, its mom and dad's van, Mr. Aito wouldn't leave us." Natsu said as he walked behind the blonde.
Once they were all there, the said Mr. Aito bowed down to the young Dragneel and greeted, "Young master, are we all set?"
"Yosh Mr. Aito! We're all ready to go home!" Natsu cheered before looking at his friends who cheered along with him, "Alright, get in!"
Soon enough, they started getting inside the van and took their places before. Lucy and Natsu stayed behind and waited for everyone to be settled.
"You ready Luce?" Natsu asked as he held Lucy's hand which took the blonde surprised, "Can't wait to start the year with you as my girlfriend"
Looking at Natsu's manly grin made Lucy's heart race and blush, "Y-yeah…me too. I'm excited to start the school year with you…as my boyfriend-"
"Oy you two love birds! Get in already" Gray commented as he leaned to peek in the open door but as soon as the two looked his way, he leaned back and disappeared.
"Ladies go first" Natsu then opens his arms gesturing for the blonde to walk first which Lucy followed obediently.
As they all waited for the six hour ride to end, the group kept themselves busy reminiscing their days in the beach resort. They all recalled their days since day one until their last day.
"Hey, do you guys remember the ride going to Bassia town?" Lissana suddenly recalls their first day, "Not all of us were lovers yet…"
Natsu and Lucy then blushes at the memory as they recalled the ride, "Can we not-"
"Oh yeah! Natsu and Lucy started shouting when they saw us all kissing in the van!" Gray exclaimed before laughing with the others
"Oh shut up Gray! It was just really awkward, okay?!" Natsu retorted as he shifted in his seat to look at the teen but to his surprise, Gray gave a mischievous smile.
After smiling evilly, Gray pulled Juvia then started to kiss her in the lips passionately. Seeing his friend French kiss made the teen gag in his seat so he quickly looked away.
"Natsu acting all disgusted about kissing but yesterday I saw him and Lucy kiss in the beach!" Levy commented as she silently laughed at the new couple feeling awkward again
"Really?! My gosh, I wonder how they look kissing!" Loke replied engrossed with the idea
"You're disgustingly weird Loke…Why'd you want to see me and Lucy kiss?" Natsu snubbed as he gave off a snooping look at the orange haired teen who just laughed loudly
"Nothing because me and Aries looks sweet when we kiss" Loke then leans down to kiss his girlfriend who was taken by surprised
"Eww! Loke shut up!" Erza then nudges the teen at the end of the first row. Seeing them being lightly pushed, everyone laughed at the couple.
"Oh we saw them kiss! Remember the volleyball game we had where couples vs another couple?" Juvia reminded them as she recalled the first time Lucy was kissed by the pinkette
"That doesn't count!" Lucy replied bashfully as she felt eyes on her now, "He took that unpermitted"
"Unpermitted? Really Luce?" Natsu then looks at the blonde next to him
"Yes! You suddenly kissed me without my consent!" Lucy replied back moving closer to the teen
"It was a game!"
"For couples!"
"We are a couple!"
"We weren't back then!"
Lucy and Natsu's forehead was against each other that anytime soon their lips could touch in another move but the two moved apart when they heard Gajeel.
"Are you two going to kiss or what? Because this is really weird…"
Levy then slaps the teen and scolded silently at the teen, "Oh continue what you were suppose to do…we do want to see you kiss."
"Levy-chan?!"
"What?"
"oh goodness…" Lucy and Natsu just slumps back to their seat and covered their eyes with their forearms and just listened to the laughs of their friends. They knew to themselves that they wouldn't get out of the awkward topic anytime soon.
"Alright! we're in Magnolia!" once Gray woke up, he shouted inside the van as he raised his arms but then ends up to Juvia's shoulder who just giggled at her boyfriend's behavior
"You're not that excited to get home, are you?" Juvia asked sarcastically while smiling at the ink haired teen, "Nope…I just miss my bed."
"Hey guys look!" Levy whispered loudly as she leaned forward from her seat while Gajeel held her waist so that she wouldn't fall forward, "So sweet…"
Levy remarked as she stared at the couple in front of her, "Now that is sweet." Erza added as she shifted in her seat
The gang started to check the middle row and saw Natsu and Lucy sleeping. Natsu was hugging Lucy by her waist while his head was resting to the blonde's shoulder. Lucy's arms were wrapped around Natsu's head as she stoke his hair from time to time.
"They are creepily sweet…why are they even in that position?" Gray asked as he stared at the sleeping couple, "From what I heard from them, Natsu forgot to put on his motion sickness patches… so when he started feeling bad, Lucy made him rest against her and sleep. And so yeah…"Lissana said as she eyed her two friends
"Oh…" Everyone answered as they kept their eyes to the couple
"You know what guys, we need one more memorabilia" Erza said before she looked at her friends who started bring out their phones.
Soon enough each one of them took photos of the sleeping couple but it all stopped when the van tilted as it entered the drive way of the Dragneel's mansion. In few seconds, the couple woke up and got surprised that everyone was up and that they have reached their home.
"Finally the two of you woke up…" Sting remarked trying to stop from laughing as he leaned forward who just received a strange stare from the two
"Oh-kay…your weird Sting, and we're home." Natsu said as he snapped out of his intrigued stare when Mr. Aito opened the door to the van, "We're here young master."
"Thanks Mr. Aito." Natsu then stepped down and offered his hand to the Blonde who was to step down next to him.
"Finally!" A new voice shouted quite far from where the gang stood. Hearing the voice, the teens looked at their back and saw a beautiful dark blue haired middle-aged woman, "I thought I wouldn't see your faces anymore!"
Grandine finally stood before the group and smiled at her son, "Hey mom" Natsu then hugged his mother followed by Lucy and so as the others.
"So, how was the vacation?" Grandine inquired to the teens as she held to Natsu's arm since her son is taller than her now.
"It was definitely fun and tiring..." Levy answered as she smiled at the woman in front of her, "Well Bassia town is far. I heard Gray you met Juvia's parents?"
"Yeah Auntie Grandine, it was nerve wracking !" the group then started to laugh
"Alright, are you all hungry? We can ask for snacks inside…" Grandine asked as she smiled at the group, "No thanks Auntie Grandine we're still full. I actually just want to go home already, I'm quite exhausted already." Erza replied as she stepped closer and gave her a hug, "Yeah Auntie Grandine, we better get home, thanks though for inviting." Lissana followed Erza hugging the middle aged woman
"Fine, go home and take a rest…Some other time"
Soon enough the group of teens said their good-byes and left the residence of the Dragneels. When the gang was gone, Lucy too decided to get her bag and leave. Seeing the blonde, Grandine then nudges her son and gave a look as if telling seriously you're not helping Lucy?!
"Alright! alright…Hey Luce, let me do that" Natsu then ran up to the blonde who was taken by surprised when the pinkette took the bags quickly and stood up straight in front of her.
"I'll drive you home…"
"What?! No need, I'll just call home-"
"No need dear" Grandine walks up to them and gave a serious look, "You parents are coming over…We actually need to talk about something." Then she left making the two teens nervous to death.
"Okay…tell me we are not in trouble." Lucy said as she stared at the retreating figure of the blue haired woman, "I wish I could say the same…"
