A/N – Thanks for the reviews! I'm very thankful for your feedback! A lot of people mentioned liking Skylo. Jason is a brat more than anything. He has a couple of bad moments but trust me, you know the end game. I did finish writing one of my other stories, so now I can focus more on this one and can update it daily!

Chapter 2 - Home

Liz glanced at Jason who is already in the bed. The man makes her absolutely nervous. She has zero experience with men and his physical presence alone is breathtaking. Add the intensity of his spirit and the power he carried himself with, and it was almost overwhelming considering that he is waiting for her in bed. She shivered thinking about it.

"Um, do you have an extra tee shirt in your bag?"

Jason curiously glanced at her, but quickly got up and went into his bag and then tossed one at her.

"Thanks," she said trying to rip her eyes from his exposed chest. She is quite sure she's looking at muscles she has never heard of. Dear God, his body is mouth-watering. Feeling herself start to blush, she began to walk away but then turned back around. "One more thing, could you help me with my zipper?"

He moved towards her and Liz turned away from him. As he undid her zipper and gazed at her creamy skin, she nervously bit her lip as his hand brushed down her back provoking feelings in her body she didn't know existed.

"Thank you," she managed to get out before heading towards the bathroom.

When the door shut, Jason ran over to her suitcase to see why she needed his shirt, and when he saw all the lingerie, he chuckled. Quickly, he hopped back into the bed and turned off the light.

The bathroom door opened and he watched her walk out. Damn. She looked really hot. Her chocolate curls tumbled over her porcelain skin and the t-shirt hit her about mid-thigh. While she is a little on the thin side, her eyes are what calls to him.

He snapped out of it and turned onto his side and felt her get sink onto the bed; the image of her in his shirt still seared into his mind. Why does she have to be so damned beautiful? Sleeping next to her is not going to be an easy task for him and it took him an hour to finally give in to the tiredness that enveloped his body.

In the middle of the night, Liz shot up in bed. Jason sat up too and instinctively reached for his gun which wasn't there because it's in his suitcase. "What's wrong?"

"I'm sorry, I was having a nightmare," she said as a tremor went through her body.

He fell back onto the pillow with a deep sigh. "It didn't involve Chucky Brusco's plumbers crack did it?" he asked before wiping his eyes.

She giggled. "No, but that was really disgusting." She made a face as the mental picture of the hairy man getting low on the dance floor, almost causing everyone to hurl, assaults her senses.

Before he could stop himself, he said, "Come here."

Jason pushed up higher and Liz laid in his arms, putting her head on his chest and hoping that she won't drool on it. Her hand rested on his abs and she swore she felt a jolt go throughout her lower body. In her mind, she started counting backward and tried to distract herself from the fact that she is laying on the torso she had so openly admired earlier. Closing her eyes, she concentrated on his breathing and thankfully quickly fell asleep. It took Jason a little longer to try not to notice that her skin is touching his. She felt so soft and her breath is floating across his chest like a caress. He thought about the last few years of his life. It had been all about the business. When Sonny had offered the partnership, Jason jumped at the opportunity and while he hated the paperwork, it made him feel like he had accomplished something when he completed it. For a long time, he just didn't care about such things, but he is growing up and he wants to prove himself. Liz, however, threw a caveat in his plans. Now, he is being asked to divide his time up and somehow fit a relationship into the scenario which translated in his mind meant that he must give up his freedom. He tried to push the thoughts out of his head. Dwelling on what he couldn't have was not helping his situation. He sighed and closed his eyes and finally fell back asleep.

Jason's eyes popped open and his gaze slowly lowered. It is bright in the room, causing him to squint. In their haste to avoid each other, they had forgotten to close the curtains. He stared at her hair which is wildly spread over his chest. Her leg is wrapped around one of his and when he realizes that his hand is on her ass, he almost groaned.

Jason quickly moved it and deftly untangled himself from her so he could use the bathroom.

He gazed into the mirror and brushed his teeth as he mentally reminded himself that she is off-limits. You are not sleeping with her, he thought as he glared at himself. He quickly finished and then went back into the room and since she is still passed out, he sat in a chair and closed his eyes again. After about an hour later, he heard her stir and watched as she walked into the bathroom. There was a knock at the door, so Jason got up and answered it.

"Room service," a voice called out.

He opened the door and a man wheeled the breakfast inside. Jason grabbed some money from his dress pants and then waited for Liz to come out.

"You hungry?"

"Yes," she said softly.

They sat, and he watched her devour some French toast and bacon. It made him smile that she had such an appetite.

"Have you seen our house yet?" he asked.

"No. I guess it will be a surprise for both of us then."

He nodded. Jason would have preferred to stay at the penthouse, but Lorenzo was not having it. Their house was a gift from Sonny and Lorenzo. While he wasn't happy about it, he had realized a few weeks ago that he had no say in the matter. They are making all the decisions where his life was concerned and thinking about that was just pissing him off more. He hates when people take away his choices.

"I think we should talk about expectations." Liz isn't totally comfortable making small talk with him yet, but this is necessary.

Jason is not much of a talker on a good day, but he figured that he might as well just get it over with. "What do you want to discuss?"

Liz fidgeted in her seat feeling a little intimidated.

"I told you that I wouldn't touch you," he said softly, noting that she seemed uncomfortable, "unless you want me too."

Liz blushed which made Jason smirk. He wasn't sure what to think about her experience-wise. Either she is a shy person, or she hasn't been around men much. He found that hard to believe in this day and age, but he had never seen someone blush as much as her.

"I put off the honeymoon due to some family business. Maybe once we get to know each other better, it could be something we'll both enjoy," Jason said before realizing he was doing it again and needed to dial it back.

Liz nodded. "I understand."

"Do you cook?"

"Yes. I also sew and I'm an artist."

"Good to know."

"Am I allowed to work?"

Jason looked at her curiously. Most of the wives in the organization did not work, but for some reason, she seemed to want to and he didn't want to just squash the conversation.

"How about we get to know each other a little more and then we'll talk about it," he said diplomatically.

"Okay."

He bit into his toast. "Are you always so agreeable?"

"No, but I was told that I'm to be the dutiful wife," she said taking in his reaction.

Jason frowned. "I don't want that. Just be yourself."

Liz studied him for a moment and didn't say anything. She couldn't quite figure out if he liked her or not due to all his mixed signals. He is very hot and then cold like he is constantly doing inner battle where she is concerned.

They finished and then got showered and dressed. Liz put on a sundress and Jason is clad in jeans and a black t-shirt.

A bellman retrieved their clothes and they headed for the elevator. There is a town car waiting to take them to the house.

A half-hour later, they pulled up to a sprawling Mediterranean villa. Johnny opened the door to the house, and when Jason started to walk through it by himself, Johnny stopped him. "You're supposed to pick her up and carry her over the threshold," he said quietly.

Jason rolled his eyes and started to move forward and Johnny stopped him again. "Do what's right."

Jason gave him an icy stare but still retreated. He swept Liz up in his arms, causing her to gasp and then carried her inside.

He placed her down and they took in their surroundings. The place is ridiculously huge. There seemed to be two wings and the staircases were gorgeously lined with ornate wrought iron. Johnny brushed past them and took their luggage upstairs and came right back. Jason and Liz looked around the house and then went into the backyard. The house is almost shaped like an open-ended rectangle and has a courtyard in the middle. Off in the distance, there are acres of land which held gardens, a pool, and various fountains as well as a pond. They finally made it back into the house where Johnny is waiting.

"I'll leave and give you some privacy. There is a cottage in the back and that is where I'll sleep," Johnny said.

Jason nodded and they watched him leave.

He perused the room for a few more minutes and then grabbed his keys off the counter. "I'm going out."

Liz started to protest but realized it would be no use. "Way to go. Your husband can't stand you already," she muttered before going outside and walking around the yard. There are beautiful flower gardens that she will spend lots of time in. She found a bench and got comfortable and a few minutes later, she caught a movement out of the corner of her eye. "You can come out."

Johnny appeared from behind a tree. "Just pretend I'm not here."

She patted the bench next to her. "That would be impossible," she said smiling at the gorgeous Irishman.

Johnny sat next to her. "Where's Jason?"

"He left. Apparently, he can't stand to be in the same place as me for more than five minutes."

Johnny frowned. "Don't worry. He'll come around."

"I hope so."

They silently gazed at the scenery. Jason is weighing heavily on her mind. She had never been in a relationship before and has no idea how to reach him and doesn't know if she should say anything. What she does know is that she doesn't want to make the situation worse. After going over several scenarios in her mind, she finally decided to just give it some time; that maybe Jason needs to wrap his mind around being married. They eventually went back into the house and Liz started cooking around 5:30 p.m. The air was filled with the smell of pasta and gravy and Johnny's stomach was growling.
