A few days after my fight with Aniki, I feel strangely refreshed. I am happy that I was finally able to fight Aniki and I can't believe that I actually had won. I, won against Aniki. I know that it was barely but I will still take the win as a win! I was happy to fight him. That would've been enough for now. But I was able to hold on for a few more seconds than Aniki did. So that means I won!
Bang!
Ooh. Ravel-san has slammed documents down on my hospital table. Ravel-san isn't happy with me right now. She thought it was stupid of me to constantly put myself in danger. First with saving Koneko-chan and Kuroka-san then from fighting Aniki in that match. And of course the times I fought against Vali-san during the meeting and Kokabiel during that incident despite not having reached Balance Breaker. But even Aniki didn't have Balance Breaker back then so I wouldn't be outshone by him.
"Ugh, these need signing, quickly!"
"Hehe, ok Ravel-san."
I had to giggle unevenly. That's all I could do right now. She is giving me a death look. I'm scared of her right now. She's been...less than happy with me since the fight.
"Damn straight ok! Ugh, I still don't understand why you chose to fight Ise-sama when this was the predicted outcome anyway."
"Because I had to. It was because I had to fight strongly. I won didn't I?"
At my words, her eyes narrowed and I can literally feel her anger rise on my skin. It might be a weird way of saying it but I can't actually put it another way other than that. Her anger is even affecting my thinking process, its that intense.
"That's not the point! You broke ribs! You damaged your hands! You damaged most of your body! Ugh, you continually put yourself in danger again and again. You cannot be so stupid when you attain high class Devil. I will not allow such foolish actions when you reach high class Devil. As my future King, I refuse to allow you to put yourself in danger again!"
"Ehehe, but I will always be in danger though. I have to still find the person who put me in here before. And I'm sure more dangers will show up like the Khaos Brigade and maybe other dangers also."
She releases a sigh as I do these documents for Sera-tan. She's a little busy right now dealing with the random things she does as a Maou. Although she did congratulate me on my win with a long passionate kiss. A kiss from my Master is always good. She also said that she will take my virginity soon! Ehehe, I was too embarrassed to say anything but I do want Sera-tan to take that important thing. She is the person who helped me live again. And made me live at all. She really changed my life and I wonder if she knows that?
"...But still..."
"I'm not going to die. Been there, done that."
I released a laugh but apparently my joke was bad as her anger raised to extreme levels!
"Its not funny!"
I jump back a little at that. Eheheh...I don't think I've ever made someone this angry at me.
"And I'm not pretending that it is either. I am very distressed about dying again. If possible, I wouldn't fight again but I know that the time to fight will come again and again until I can't fight anymore. That's what my life was like and it will be like that from now on. But, I am going to enjoy the time between fights. Times when I can spend time with my girlfriends and friends and people who love me..."
"Like who?"
Like who she asks? That's a complicated question but I do have an answer for her. I hope the answer is acceptable to her.
"W-Well, there's different people and I have different relationships with them. Technically, I am dating Sera-tan, Yumi-chan and Sona-san. Koneko-chan and I confessed our love to one another but I don't know if we are dating or not, and Iri-chan said she loved me but I couldn't as she passed out straight afterwards so I don't know the relationship there. Asia-chan and I have kissed before but we haven't said anything about our relationship. I don't know our relationship so I couldn't comment but I would like to get to know you better. I would like to get to know Gabriel-chan more, although Sera-tan says that Gabriel-chan should just die and leave me alone. I've got a servant in Raynare-san and I am sort of dating Vali-san as we confessed our love to one another also. Gasper-chan is my mate so I guess that means I'm married by Vampire terms. There you have it. I'm married to a Vampire and I have girlfriends and girls I like. A harem I suppose."
That's how I view my relationship with various people I like and love.
"Wow, to summarize each relationship like that...so quickly is something I didn't expect."
"Hehe, yeah. Hey Ravel-san, what's the chances of me getting promoted to high class straight away?"
She puts a finger to her chin before smiling slightly.
"Well, I wouldn't say impossible but I don't think it would happen if you want me to be truthful?"
"Yes, I thought so. I just, can't wait to become high class you know?"
"Neither can I. After all, we have our arrangement to honour."
Yes the arrangement. Originally, it was made without me knowing anything about it. But now, I can honestly say that I want to take Ravel-san as a Bishop. That is, when I reach high class, she will still want to be my Bishop. She might change her mind or she might choose to stay as Sera-tans Bishop. That would bring her more popularity, wouldn't it? But, does she even care about being popular? Or does she actually want to stay by my side forever?
"Ravel-san, you still want to be my Bishop right? When I become high class I mean?"
"Yes, of course I do. Why ask such things?"
"I was just thinking about it that's all. I mean, I want you as my Bishop as Sera-tan and you have stated the good points about it. And I can honestly see us being together forever...ehehe, that sounded like a confession..."
Her whole face flushed then.
"Hehe, it sort of did. Now, finish these so you can study for your test. Although, I doubt you need to anyway. I don't think there is any place on the test you have to worry about. You've done the report on your aim and greed and this test should be no sweat as you've studied history and government of the Underworld, and from what I saw during the match between you brothers, I saw that you had the fighting skills of a high class already. You've even surpassed Rias-sama in fighting skills."
"...I kind of figured that. No disrespect to Buchou of course."
"Of course no disrespect to her. But now, hurry. So you can get in last minute studying."
"Ehehe, I was thinking about maybe seeing Aniki?"
Ravel-san looked at me with perplexity.
"Why?"
She asks as I finish these signings. If I wasn't the Queen of Sera-tan then I wouldn't have to do such things but I love doing such things as it means I'm trusted by her. Hehe, I'm trusted by my King. Well I am her Queen after all.
"To...see if he is ok?"
"Well, that can wait. He's fine. But if you really are worried then I could check on him."
...! She would do such things just for me to study? Ravel-san really is a great manager after all, isn't she? Trying to help me like she does. She's always so nice to me...well, there are times when she is an angry tsundere but that's only when I mess up.
"No, you don't have too. I suppose Aniki will be fine. Thank you for the offer however."
"N-Not a problem. As long as I am able to help out then I am happy. Now do some studying."
"Understood!"
So I then study for the rest of that day. Thanks to Ravel-san, who is drilling it all into me, I was able to learn a little more than before! Hehe, I knew Ravel-san loved being a tutor as she was giving me helpful tips about studying methods.
...The next day. The next day, myself and Ravel-san are going to the place they do the promotion test. Sera-tan set it up for me so I can quickly progress but she can't see me off as she is busy today. I could do with a Sera-tan kiss right now but I guess that means I am becoming more dependant on her each day. But not so dependant that I can't do things on my own. I just have become accustomed to her kisses and her body. I'm fully better now that's to Asia-chan healing my wounds and for the medical care of the Underworld.
"Ravel-san..."
"I know. Just the two of us going to this place huh. Well, that should be fine also. Now let me do last minute preparations."
I nod as I look over everything also in my mind. I have everything I need. I'm confident on the report I have written. I believe I have studied and learned as much as possible. And finally, I am in top physical condition. Good thing too, I have to be ready for a fight after all.
"Ok. I believe we are ready. Mako-sama. It is time to head off."
"Yeah..."
"Hmmm? Is something the matter?"
I shook my head horizontally.
"Nothing big. I just...feel like I should've told Aniki about me being promoted before going to the test. It feels...regretful perhaps?"
"I wouldn't worry about such things. I've heard talks of promotion for him also happening in the near future. So, if anything was to happen then I'm sure you wouldn't feel so regretful about being promoted. Let me guess something. You feel like the promotion you are getting isn't fair on him, correct?"
Damn she's good. I didn't know she could predict such things.
"Yes. If I am honest, then I do feel like that. Because I am getting promoted, despite us getting reincarnated at the same time."
"But. You've accomplished so many things since then. While Ise-sama has also...you've done unimaginable things. Like beating Kokabiel. Facing the Hakuryuukou in your base form. Fighting countless members of the Khaos Brigade, destroying countless bases and even fighting Longinus users on an equivalent level. It only makes sense that you get promoted. If it was my choice, you'd be promoted straight to high class straight away. However, that isn't my choice."
"I suppose you are right. But, I wont let it distract me from my goals of today."
"Exactly. Once you let these thoughts leave your mind, you'll be fully focused. You can't go to a test with distracting thoughts. It is sink or swim then. So, that's what you should do. Forget about the thoughts that you've made happen in your mind. Don't feel regretful about such things. If situations were reversed, would Ise-sama feel regretful?"
Would Aniki feel regretful? No, he would most likely be really happy about it. I am happy about my own promotion also. I am really someone who is very happy about such things. Even though...no, like Ravel-san said. Today I should let those thoughts leave my mind.
"Most likely not. He would most likely be happy about it. Well, like you say, forget about such thoughts and press on!"
"Well, I didn't put it like that but...go with that. Come along Mako-sama. The circle is downstairs in the lobby of this hospital."
"Right. I have everything."
"Me too. Now let us be off."
So we leave my hospital room. We make it downstairs and see that the circle is all set up. But other people are here also. Ehehe...Aniki is here...he comes over to me and hits me on the back of my head!
"Owwww! What'd you do that for!?"
"Y-Yes Ise-sama! Please don't make such barbaric actions when Mako-sama is about to do something very important!"
Aniki rolls his eyes at Ravel-san who gains a pissed off expression. Then he looks straight at me.
"You...didn't tell me."
He must be referring to the promotion. I wonder who told him? No, I have an idea.
"Did Buchou tell you?"
He nods at me with a neutral expression that then darkens.
"Yeah. You know...I'm pissed offffffffffffffffffff! I could kill you!"
"Uwah! Do it later!"
"Eh? Kill you later? No, I will do it now!"
Uwah! He grabs my head and puts me in a headlock! He's going to kill me! I can't breathe Aniki! Please let go immediately!

"Owwwww! Shit!"
He let go of me and I see that Ravel-san stabbed him in the ribs with a pen! Hahaha! Sorry Aniki but that was awesome! She actually stabbed him with her pen!
"Sorry Ise-sama but you can't attack my future King like that."
"You didn't have to stab me!"
"I did. It is the only way I could see you stopping from strangling my future King. Please say whatever it is quickly because we do have to leave shortly. We are on a tight schedule after all."
Aniki nods at her, with a wary look. She smirks slightly. She knows she is victorious right now.
"Alright. Makoto, I am happy that you got promoted. I am also pissed off and I feel like I could actually kill you for not telling me! At first, yeah I was a little bummed about it because I'm the older one. I should be the one doing things first. But well, we've been doing lots of crazy shit since becoming Devils."
You have no idea Aniki. I've been nearly killed more times than I can count. And I actually was nearly killed by my now servant. But I'm over that. I don't know if Aniki is but I certainly am.
"Yes. Crazy things. Aniki, I am sure you'll get a promotion in the near future. And when you do, I will cheer for you harder than anyone else. Even if you and Rias-Buchou are going to be lovers, I will always be your number one supporter."
He does a spit take because of my words. When I said him and Buchou are lovers, he did the spit take. But, they are going to be lovers, aren't they? That's what I believe right now.
"D-Don't say such things right now! But, I know you will be my supporter. That's why I am not angry at you. I am proud actually. To think that wimpy kid from before being a Devil is now standing strong like a man."
"Hey! Don't call me wimpy in the past tense!"
"You was though! You've grown as a person."
I smile slightly. I guess I have grown as a person. But, I'm not finished growing yet.
"You've changed also. Well, not the perverseness but you've changed from being a pervert to a pervert with a heart of gold. And I am very proud to be your Otouto!"
We smile at one another, then Ravel-san clears her throat.
"Ahem. Sorry to cut this bonding moment short but Mako-sama. We will really be late soon if we don't leave in the next few minutes."
"Right. Sorry Ravel-san."
I apologized and faced Aniki.
"Good luck little Otouto!"
"Thank you Aniki!"
Then Asia-chan who has been silent until now hugs me very tightly!
"Makoto-san! Please pass the test! Then that means you are one step closer for me becoming your Bishop!"
Aah yeah. I remember her asking something like that. She does want us to be together forever. But, could I really take her from Buchou? Would Buchou allow such actions? Of course having Asia-chan as my Bishop would be the ultimate reward. Having both Ravel-san and Asia-chan as my Bishops would be a very big blessing indeed.
"What Asia?"
Buchou asked while glaring at Sona-san who is smiling. What's going on with them now? And why glare at Sona-san when Asia-chan said that?
"W-Well...erm...I want to become Makoto-sans...Bishop..."
"For fuck sake! It isn't enough that Sona hurts me all the time with her fucking words. Now her fucking boyfriend is going to take away my Bishop, my loli Rook Koneko and possibly my Knight Yumi away! Who else do you want from me!?"
"Well, that's it actually."
She sheds tears at me then pushes Sona-san then runs away. She's always been somewhat of a question mark. Sona-san just gives an emotionless stare towards the departed Buchou.
Then I start saying goodbye to various people like Aneki who hugged me tightly, Koneko-chan, Yumi-chan, Akeno-senpai, Xenovia-senpai, Sona-san, Shinra-senpai who came to see me off also and Gasper-chan. Gabriel-chan and Iri-chan have already gone off to Heaven but they have wished me luck also before leaving.
Raynare-san and Sakura-chan are busy with Sera-tan since I'm doing this and so is Ravel-san, they have taken over some of the duties I do for her which was really nice of them. Ravel-san pointed to her hand as if she was pointing at a watch so I nod.
"Mako-sama...we really do need to leave now."
"Right. I am ready."
So we both step onto the circle, and so does Sona-san? What is she doing?
"Sona-sama? You are inside the circle? For what reason?"
"I shall be accompanying you both of course."
She answered like that. So Sona-san is going to be coming along also? Is that allowed? Then again, I suppose Ravel-san is coming along so I don't see any reason for her not to come along also.
"I-I understand. Then we should be making tracks. Is that how the human saying goes?"
"That's right Ravel. That is how the humans say it. Let us leave now."
We both nod at Sona-san. I need to ask a question.
"Sona-san..."
"Yes?"
"What reason was there wishing me good luck if you are coming anyway?"
When I asked, she stayed silent before letting her face turn a little red.
"...Isn't that what you are supposed to do when dating?"
"Yes, but if you were planning to come anyway...ehehe, I'm over thinking this aren't I?"
"Yes, you are. Now Ravel, Makoto-kun let us leave for real."
We nodded at Sona-san for the second time. But then Shinra-senpai steps into the circle also? Is she coming also? I wont question it because it is kind of humiliating when one thinks about it.
"Tsubaki?"
"W-Well, as your Queen...shouldn't I accompany the King wherever you go?"
Sona-san sends Shinra-senpai a small look before nodding.
"Yes. I suppose that is the basic theory of a Queen. Alright. This time we really are leaving."
Sona-san makes a hand gesture as her hand glows. The light from the magic circle then envelopes us and takes us to a new place!
Once the light dies down...we were at a spacious floor. There is a large magic-circle still emitting a shallow light under my feet. Is this the test stadium where the promotion test will be held?
"Welcome. You are the servant of Serafall Leviathan-sama correct? I have heard about it. Please show me something to identity yourself."
The staff members who are wearing stiff costumes approach us asking for identification. If I remember correctly I have to show the seal with Serafall-sama's symbol on it and also the recommendation paper. I showed them my seal and recommendation paper. The staff confirm our recommendation papers and seals and say "This way please", and then guide us. We walk into a corridor made from rocks. It does not seem like a gorgeous interior, but is made very simply and accurately.
"This is the promotion test centre for middle class Devils located in the territory of Glasya-Labolas."
Shinra-senpai tells me quietly as we continue walking. Aah yes, I remember. This is the place where the Maou Falbium-sama's family is. It is also the place of that guy...erm, whatever his name is. The one who was harassing the Aragres-heiress during the youths meeting. I heard about it from Aniki and apparently he broke up the fight. So heroic, isn't he?
"It seems like they built the middle class promotion test centre here because of the influence of the strategist, Falbium Asmodeus-sama."
Ravel-san said this. Aah yes, just as I was thinking. But, I heard that he is quite the lazy Maou-sama. Sera-tan calls him Falbi-chan. I've heard her refer to him as that before. She makes me call him that sometimes to see his reaction. I usually get embarrassed and end up hiding behind Sera-tan for protection. The Maou-sama's aren't scary or anything, it is just their power outstrips my own and when I can constantly feel the flow of power radiating from them when near them, then it is a scary concept.
The place where we arrived at after being led by the staff is a place that seemed like a reception area. There were a couple of windows, and test participants were talking to the receptionists.
…There are less Devils here than I thought. A reception area, which is quite spacious, looks dead because there aren't many people in it. Then the staff explains to us.
"At the reception area over there, please take the compulsory documents along with the admission ticket for the test. After you are done with that, please go to the floor upstairs where the written test will be held. The first part of the test will be the written section and the second part will be practical."
So I start with the written test huh, well that's fine with me. I have studied hard. I am better at tests anyway rather than the physical portion of the test. But I shouldn't be bad at the practical portion either.
"Please hand your report to the examiners who are standing in front of the room for the written section of the test."
So I have to hand my report to the person in front of the test room. That's fine with me! I am confident in my report!
"Then I will pardon myself. I hope you do well."
The staff left after saying that.
"I will go and bring the documents you must fill out."
After saying that, Ravel-san goes away quickly. Wow, that girl really is thoughtful to do such things for me. I am lucky Ravel-san is so diligent! She is a God send...rather a Maou send. I'm pretty sure Michael-sama wouldn't send Ravel-san to me. Ehehe, but he did send me Gabriel-chan which was nice of him...
"...Looks like there aren't that many people taking the test."
"Yeah. In the current Underworld, there aren't that many Devils who can take the promotion test. The promotion test centre for high class Devils certainly even has less Devils taking it."
Sona-san answered me. Yeah, I believe that to be the case also. Since it is hard getting a promotion anyway. Being promoted to high class must take something spectacular.
"Hmmmmm..."
"Hm? Is something the matter Makoto-kun?"
"Not really Sona-san. It is just...this is actually happening. And now that I am actually here...it is like a dream to say the least. Ehehe, I am blessed right now to take this test. Although, I do kind of wish others were with me in the test, you know what I mean?"
"I understand what you mean at least. While I'm not Onee-sama, please take my smile as an affectionate one."
Sona-san is sweet of course. Shinra-senpai then smiles also. Ehehe, well when two glasses wearing girls smile at me like that, all I could do is blush at them. Ravel-san then returns.
"Mako-sama! I have brought the papers required! Lets fill them out over there!"
So that's the test! It is about to begin!
...After filling out the papers, I had head towards the room located on the third floor after splitting up from Shinra-senpai, Sona-san and Ravel-san. They each wished me luck as I headed to the room that was marked "Mid-level promotion written exam room." The room looks like ones found in a human school test area. By the way, I had to sit at desk number [3] which I go towards immediately. I hear people whispering about me.
"Isn't that the Queen of Serafall-sama...?"
"The "Bishota Kyuubi" is actually here! So kawaii! He defeated the Sekiryuutei and is actually in a relationship with Serafall-sama!"
"Wow! He is the new character on Serafall-sama's show! The Bishota Kyuubi! He really does look very adorable indeed! Maybe that's why camera crews are camped outside..."
Ehehe...I don't like the attention on me. I'm just taking the test like everyone else. I really don't like this. I can see more people coming in. However this room is designed to fill more than 50 people yet the most that are here are 20 including myself. While I was thinking about this, the examiner entered the room and began collecting the reports. I gave my reports to the examiner and finally we were about to start the written test.
"Its time. Please start."
The voice of the examiner tells us its time to start the test! All the examinees turnover their test papers, and the test begins! Either way I will answer all questions as this is my specialty!
...A few hours later, I had finished the test and am sat in the food court inside the centre. The questions were some I had expected, but some I hadn't expected. Like the questions about Sera-tans television show which was easy for me as I am actually on that show now.
Yes, Sera-tan decided to make me her sidekick. "Magical Levia-tan and Bishota Kyuubi Mako-tan!" She was really excited and her shows producers or whatever went for the idea after Sera-tan was talking about me boosting the ratings with female watchers. But, she refused to let them call me Ma-tan as that's her special name for me. And if people other than her start saying it then she said "I will glitter and take all the bad people away from my Ma-tan!" I thought it was a little extreme but...Sera-tan just loves me very much.
"Mako-sama! I've brought tea!"
"Thank you Ravel-san!"
I took the tea and started drinking it.
"So, how did it go...Makoto...Makoto-kun?"
Shinra-senpai asked me with a slight nervousness.
"Aah, well I filled in all the questions and I am pretty confident that I have answered them all correctly."
"I thought that might be the case. The next portion of the test is the practical portion."
Sona-san says to me.
"Yes. I am hoping I am good enough for such a fight."
"I-I'm sure you are Makoto-kun."
Why is Shinra-senpai so scared of me? No, I don't believe that is the case. She is more...nervous around me. I don't know why that is. She is my senpai. If anyone is supposed to be nervous then it is I who is supposed to be nervous about being around her.
"I've heard that the actual test is on the roof of this stadium."
Ravel-san said as she went through some documents. On the roof huh. Well, it must be spacious up there. While this was occurring, the time for the practical test arrived. I spilt up with those three once again, and went to the roof while wearing a jersey. The place was like a spacious gymnasium. The participants all changed into clothes that they could move around easily in, and they were warming up their bodies in their own way. Well, since everyone else is working out, then I will start stretching by myself.
While I was stretching my body, the examiners gathered and began to call our numbers. We attached a badge that had our number on it to our jersey. Then one of the examiners gave us an explanation.
"The practical is quite simple. We will have the participants battle each other. We will have everyone draw a number, and that will decide who you will battle."
Oh, that's simple and easy to understand. So I just have to win that then?
"The battle will be looked as a whole so even if you lose to your opponent, you will not necessarily lose the opportunity to pass. Obviously winning the battle will allow you to get more points though. But we will look at the battle in depth so if you have the three satisfactory criteria of heart, technique, and body we will allow you to get points that will be the equivalent of what you showed. Try to have the battle be as good as possible please! The rule is simple. Fight the opponent with the power you have. Using weapons will be allowed. You will fail if your opponent dies, but if the death occurred due to an accident then we, the examiners, will decide the outcome. Please read the documents you have with you regarding about death by accident. Next is…"
Explanation of the rules continues. So all I have to do is show a good battle then! The examiner also gave an additional explanation.
"Now people who are a Pawn are able to promote during the match with the special approval promotion card dispatched by this test centre."
Well that doesn't really pertain to me but I do know about those cards. I suppose if Aniki was here then that would be the way he would promote. A special approval promotion card.
The examiners explanation finished, and it became time to draw. We put our hands inside the box, and took out a ball that has a number on it. These things are quite similar to the human world… Well the ones who come here are mostly former-humans, so they are probably making it more familiar and easier for us to understand.
...Oooh! My number is number [2]! I am number [2]...ehehe, that doesn't sound right at all.
"The matches will occur by two pairs fighting at once! First, [1] and [2], [3] and [4] will start their matches!"
My match is right off the bat! Ehehe, no one is here to offer me words of encouragement. Well, no that isn't completely true.

Hehe, that was the pixies spirit inside my Sacred Gear. We talk sometimes. She's really nice. While feeling a bit nervous, I entered the circular battlefield made by demonic power. What will happen now? Should I use my Sacred Gear? Should I combine my powers together for a quick finish? Or should I go for a long drawn out battle? No, the last one is stupid. As I'm thinking this...a Devil came in. A man who looks in his late twenties. His aura is lower than Aniki's, Xenovia-senpai's and Koneko-chan's. Well, even if his aura is lower, he might surprise me.
The examiner came in and looked at both of us.
"Both of you are ready then?"
Both me and my opponent nod. The examiner raised his hand up, and then put it down!
"Please start!"
Immediately, I made my Sacred Gear appeared and point my hands at the guy!
"Promotion Queen!"
He promoted to Queen! Ok so he was a Pawn then! Right! I wont lose to a Pawn!
"Staring Blue!"
Staring Blue? If I remember, that is a Sacred Gear? Staring Blue has the power to fire light in the colour of blue at the opponents! Ooh, so that means I have to fight a light type of Sacred Gear! Then, lights came from the man in the form of arrows. I raised a demonic defence circle and a magic defence circle and combined them just incase!
"Aah! What the hell was that!?"
"Hehe Devil-san! My power! Try this!"
I made my Sacred Gear glow and at the same time, black lightning appeared in my hands and I pointed them at the Devil-san!
"Taste this! Demonic Lightning!"
My black lightning shot from my hands and went for the man! He created a defence circle to defend against my attack but my attack broke through the circle and started shocking the enemy! As my enemy was being shocked, I gathered demonic power in my fist and went forward with the speed of a Knight!

I nailed my fist into the enemies stomach by using the strength of a Rook and the black lightning for extra measure! The enemy Devil-san is sent flying back by my attack! He crashes into a wall...ooh, I think I overdid it.
One of the examiners went towards the opponent whom I punched quickly. I can hear the voices of other participants who were watching the match.
"…Y-You must be kidding me!? What power!"
"I see… He surpasses the level of average low class Devils greatly."
"I can only say that his opponent was unlucky. He's a monster…!"
"…If its just power, isn't he a high tier of high class Devil…?"
I heard things like that.
…Ummmm. I was troubled by how to respond. I thought I held back quite abit...didn't I? I didn't want to hurt the Devil-san so I didn't put my all into the attack. Sera-tan said that the people wouldn't be as well strong as I was. So, I held back my power incase I hurt them...did my power really hurt my opponent so much...?
The examiner returns from the broken wall while carrying my opponent who seems to be unconscious. That examiner shakes his head to the examiner who is in charge of my match. That examiner confirms it and says it loudly.
"Number [2], Hyoudou Makoto wins!"
...I could only stand here, completely confused about how I won easily. Was it due to the training? Sera-tan and the others trained me, so isn't this the outcome I had expected? It wasn't out of the ordinary for such things to occur.
...After the match, I had rejoined Sona-san, Shinra-senpai and Ravel-san. I had told them what happened and they all didn't seem shocked. I thought they might show at least a slightest.
"Aren't you all...shocked?"
"No."
"I am not shocked either."
"Mako-sama, you are just an abnormally strong and smart Devil. So the chances of you fighting someone who is stronger than average mid class Devils were minimal anyway."
Sona-san, Shinra-senpai and Ravel-san said in turn.
"Makoto-kun. During your fighting match, Onee-sama contacted me and said that she has arranged for us four plus her to have a meal together. She is waiting for us in the restaurant that is located about two minutes walk from here. She said that since you have come so far, she is going to treat you to a meal. And we have been invited to come along also."
"I-I see. Then, are we going?"
Sona-san nods and we four set off towards the hotel! I can't wait to see Sera-tan and tell her how well I did during the test! I hope I become middle class Devil soon enough! If I do, it is one more step to high class Devil!
And that's the promotion test over! I was tempted to promote Makoto straight to high class Devil and if I am honest then I am still tempted, I really am tempted but that wouldn't be realistic, right? But then again this is fanfiction so...well, maybe if lots of people wanted it then I would make Makoto high class soon. I have been thinking about maybe moving Yasaka to Makoto's harem as they are both Kyuubi Youkai.
Also I've seen that some people would like it if Makoto had the bigger harem as in reviews and in PM's. Well if I was to do that then I would only take like 4 to 5 members from Issei's harem and give them to Makoto at most. Its a possibility anyway. So if you want Makoto to have any of Issei's harem members then please send in reviews now!
Anyway, soon volume six starts! But before then, some sidestories with other members of the harems but they do tie into the main plot also! Thank you for reading! And happy new year, even if it is delayed!
