I asked Rex to leave me alone for a while. I wasn't tired, but I needed some peace and quiet. He scribbled down the address of the house where him, Harley, Joker and Ivy were staying on another scrap of paper. Written on the other side was a grocery list that Harley had probably sent him out with at some point.

I went back to the swing set and sat. I swung for a bit. I laid in the grass.

The day had been… conflicting.

Why had I said those things to Cobblepot? Why had I even gone with Rex in the first place?

Did I have anyone else to go with? No. No I didn't. I couldn't have a normal life now.

"Nice night out, isn't it?"

It was a guy in a red and black suit with a black cape, green boots and gloves. Shit, that was Robin. That was Batman's sidekick. Shit.

I quickly stood up and backed away.

"Easy." He put a hand up. "Not here to fight."

I tightened my scarf around my face. "What do you want?"

"Well… Originally, Batman sent me here to spy on you while he's out fighting petty crimes." He sat down on the ground. "But the more I watched you, the more I figured you aren't a threat like Rex or Joker or Poison Ivy."

"They have names. Well, maybe not Rex or the Joker." I shrugged. "Why do they go by things like 'Poison Ivy'?"

"I dunno. We listen to the name that suits us."

"How do you know I'm not a threat?" I demanded. "And how long have you been watching me?"

"Since nightfall." He admitted.

That was a few hours. A few hours of watching me mope around the park. He must have been bored out of his wits.

"And my first question?" I crossed my arms. "I don't appreciate being spied on, you know."

"I'd say most people don't." He smiled. "But most people also don't care that the NSA records all their conversations, either."

"And my first question?" I repeated. Sidetracked, that one.

"You seem more like you're scared than you want to murder thousands of people, like Rex or the Joker." He said.

I took that in. Yeah, that much was true.

"Doesn't make me any less dangerous." I sat down across from him. "I threw a car today."

"I know. I dug the guy out of it before it went up in flames."

I blushed. "Sorry…"

"He isn't hurt, so that's good. Well, he has a mild concussion, but he isn't seriously injured like most people would be if someone flipped their car." He corrected himself.

"That's good." I couldn't help but remember how hateful that man had looked at me. How dare I even exist much less be in front of his car?

"Sure gave Batman a good scare." He chuckled. "He thought there was going to be another person just like Rex wandering around."

"Yeah, I know." I said sourly. "Except he lacks the 'person' part of that equation."

"No, Batman isn't like that." He shook his head. "It's just that Rex has given him so much grief in the last year, since he came out of hiding."

"Rex? Hiding?" I snorted.

Robin laughed. "Yeah. For eighteen years, and on his eighteenth birthday he took a walk straight through the express way to go get some Taco Bell. Can you believe it?"

"Yeah, I can." I muttered.

"So I have a couple of options. Wait." He paused, holding up a hand. "What's your name?"

"Oh. Harmony. I guess you can't tell me yours." I brought my knees to my chest and watched him. How could he even tolerate being around me? He wasn't like Rex or Joker. He was normal. Or, he could be, if he wasn't running around in a suit and cape all the time. He had the option, though.

He smiled. "So I have a couple of options. Option 1: I tell Batman that you're totally harmless and we go back to focusing on petty crime and whatever the hell Two-Face or Killer Croc is doing at this moment."

I nodded. That option got me out of hot water. Batman wouldn't be going after me.

"Or option 2: I tell Batman that my surveillance was inconclusive and I can continue to 'watch' you." He made air quotes.

I didn't understand that option. How would that help me?

Wait…

"You, uh, you mean…"

"If you just wanted to hang out, that's cool." He shrugged, pretending to be cool about it. He looked a little nervous though.

"We can hang out." I said quickly. Shit, too quickly. Damn it!

He smiled shyly. Was he blushing too? "Okay. I'll leave you alone for now. It's a date."

"Y-yeah." I nodded, carefully processing what was happening. "It's a date. Wait, are you going to meet me here?"

"Sounds like a good plan. Tomorrow night then, right here." He stood. "I have to get going. Batman is going to want to hear that you're 'inconclusive'." More air quotes.

"Yeah." I said softly.

"Night, Harmony."

"Night."

He was gone.

Holy Hell, did I just get asked out by Robin?
