Between Solomon Grundy and Rex, we were outside Arkham in a matter of minutes. Some of the other freaks and nuts followed our wake. Stray bullets took out those who were weak. Strong people like Rex and I were unstoppable.

There was a boat awaiting our arrival, like Rex and Damian had coordinated their efforts. Or maybe Rex just got really fuckin' lucky like he always did. The three of us abandoned the other prisoners and dove into the boat, kicking them off if they tried to get on. Get lost, shit sticks, this was our ride.

Damian drove the boat back to shore with no words. His outfit was different. It was the same color as my favorite scarf, and his cloak was all black. He glanced back at me.

"Where'd you get the jammin' duds, Demon?" I used his friend's nickname.

"Huh. Demon." He nodded. He was actually wearing my scarf to cover his mouth. "Ordered them. Rich boys need to spend money somehow. You know."

I fixed the scarf so it sat properly, rather than being fluffed around his mouth. It was smooth and straight, and that was hard to do with the ocean winds trying to rip it off of him. "Sure, sure. You couldn't have spent that money on a nice lawyer to get me the hell out of Arkham? Not that I'm complaining about your timing, of course. Still, doing it the right way—"

"There is no right way, Harmony." He interrupted. "Lawyers don't care about you, I promise, and they're stupid anyway. The only kind of justice that works in this city is the kind that Mom dishes out. Even that's sketchy since he won't kill the people who ought to be put down."

"Like me?" I asked, grinning wildly. Yeah, I was one of those sick people. I was about ready to prove it, too.

He seemed to smile under the scarf. "Yeah, like you. I don't want to go against Mom, but putting you in there wasn't right. You ought to be in jail for assault, not gonna lie, but it's not like Killer Croc was gonna press charges, right?"

"Ooh, I need to find Baby Doll and Scarecrow." My grin widened. "I have a little bit of unfinished business considering they're still alive."

"You sure about that?" Damian's voice fell flat.

I frowned. "What, you gonna take me back to Arkham?"

"No!"

"Then shut up and drive, pretty boy, I got shit to do." I kissed his cheek.

"Quit being disgusting, sis!" Rex threw a fish at me. He had reached down into the water and grabbed a fucking fish as we drove by just to throw it at me. Unbelievable.

"I'll beat you with it Rex!" I threatened, snaking one of my arms around Damian. "Robin, Damian, whoever you are," I turned back to my scarved savior. "Thank you for driving me away from that place."

"Any time, Harmony. And you can feel free to call me whatever you want." He pulled down the scarf and kissed my cheek in return.

"Demon it is!"

Rex frowned. "You aren't seriously making Robin my brother-in-law, are you?"
