Bio: Team SMKY is a team of Hunstman/Huntresses that enroll in Beacon Academy. It's an all-Faunus team whose members hail from different parts of Remnant. Each is an accomplished fighter who dislikes the use of guns, preferring to use more traditional weaponry to engage their opponents. Each member of Team SMKY has some element of tragedy that has occurred in their lives, and this is one of the things that draws this team together, as they all pretty much fight for the same reason, to keep others from experiencing what they have. Even though Team SMKY functions well as a Huntsmen team, each one has connections outside the team as well that they actively work to maintain, especially with the members of Team RWBY and JNPR.

Weapon: Longlegs:A backpack containing four robotic spider legs that end in blades that was created by his deceased sister. Skylar can control the robotic legs thanks to a mental interface in the pack and each blade contains dust cartridges that can be triggered mentally. He can use these legs to attack enemies, block incoming attacks, and even travel, but he cannot lift anything heavier than himself while using the legs because their joints are rather fragile. He can also detach the blades and use them as hand-held weapons.
Semblance: Optimize: Skylar can enhance any of his physical aspects such as strength, speed, agility, etc…for a certain amount of time. This can even include healing, and aura replenishment, but he can only enhance one aspect at a time, and he has to wait before he can enhance that particular aspect again.
Notable Abilities: Spinnerets generate silk, expert hacker and strategist, likes to sew, makes clothing from his own silk
Personality: Skylar is a happy and nice person but might be a little too energetic. He always tries to look at the positive side of things and is constantly encouraging others to try their best.

Background: Skylar Silk was born in Atlas to a Faunus mother and a human father, along with his twin sister Sylvanna. Their parents ran a company that made high quality computers and computer programs and supplied them to the military and corporations like the Schnee Dust Company. Growing up, Skylar and Sylvanna were discriminated because they were Faunus, so they tended to not socialize, preferring to spend time helping their parents with the components and programming of computers. Both Silk siblings were natural hackers and programmers. Both siblings were also given fighting lessons, though Skylar took to it better than Sylvanna. One day, a malfunction caused an explosion at their family's main warehouse that took Sylvanna's life. Soon afterwards, a hostile takeover was initiated, and the Silk family was forced out of their own company. The shock caused their father to suffer a fatal heart attack, leaving Skylar and his mother alone. Grief-stricken, the two of them decided to leave Atlas, relocating to Vale, where Skylar's mother opened a boutique that Skylar works at part time. Skylar suspects that the accident that took his sister's life was an act of sabotage, though he has no proof, so he spends his free time hacking into the computer systems of the Schnee Dust Company and other corporations in search of proof. Everything changed one evening when he stumbled across Ruby Rose battling against Roman Torchwick's goons and joined in. As a result, he was invited to join Beacon Academy along with Ruby Rose.

Weapon: Naga and Lamia: Twin short swords that carry chambers in their grips for dust cartridges. A hidden trigger on each blade releases the dust into the blade, allowing for Mauve to utilize elemental damage in her attacks, both in melee terms, and to generate short bursts of dust energy. These blades can also be coated with Mauve's venom, allowing her to disable opponents with them. The blades can also be extended on strings, allowing her for surprise short-ranged attacks.
Semblance: Sidewinder: Mauve is able to teleport in seconds. Every time she teleports, she must twist sideways, and she reappears somewhere else. She is capable of teleporting numerous times in quick succession, and can take others with her, but she can only teleport one other person at a time, she can only teleport to places she can see, and the more times she does it, the more of her aura her semblance eats up.
Notable Abilities: fangs are venomous (small amounts act as a sedative, large amount can be deadly), talented actress, pickpocket, and spy, highly skilled at close-range combat, quick and agile
Personality: Mauve is smart and friendly, but she can be a bit insensitive to the feelings of other at times. She is a bit of a flirt and enjoys teasing others.

Background: Mauve was abandoned as a very young girl, so she has no recollection of her parents. She grew up on the streets of Vaccuo, stealing to survive. One day, she made the mistake of stealing from the leader of an assassin guild, who caught her. But instead of punishing her, the guild leader saw potential in Mauve and took her under his wing. Mauve grew up in the guild and was discovered to be a natural thief and assassin. She was soon known as the 'Pale Viper', a name that would send fear throughout all of Remnant. Eventually, the guild, known as Talon, was approached by Tyrion Callows and Arthur Watts, who wished to recruit Mauve for something. The guild leader refused, so Arthur eventually proposed a combative wager: Mauve vs Tyrion. Mauve won, so Tyrian and Arthur left empty-handed. However, barely a month later, the guild leader was discovered dead from poison. Mauve was blamed because she was a venomous Faunus, and the new leader labeled her a traitor and called for her death. Mauve was hunted across Vaccuo by Talon, forced to battle for her life against her fellow assassins, and finally lost them by faking her death. She moved to Vale and applied to Beacon Academy, intending to use her combat skills to protect people instead of killing them.

Weapon: Battle Klaws:Twin gauntlets that extend to cover the hands. Retractable claw-like extensions can cover as far as the knuckles, and blade-like extensions can stick out over the hands to be used in melee combat. These gauntlets provide extra power in hand-to-hand combat and have rotating compartments for dust crystals that can charge up Kodiak's hands with dust-fueled energy, even allowing him to generate bursts of dust energy. His boots also have similar technology and can be charged with dust energy to aid in fighting or transport.
Semblance: Resistance: Kodiak can amplify the protectiveness of his aura until it resembles physical armor, allowing him to reduce the damage he takes from physical and elemental attacks. When he gets hit, a black chainmail-like pattern appears on his skin, which quickly diminishes. His aura will still deplete if he keeps this up for long periods, and he needs to recharge his aura before it can be used again. His semblance can also temporarily neutralize mental semblances that are used against him, but this requires concentration, and he can be affected by them if he does not realize they are being used against him.

Background: Kodiak Nall was born in a small village in Northern Mistral. His mother left them soon after he was born, and Kodiak was raised by his father. Kodiak grew up surrounded by people who praised him for his kindness and strength. His father taught him how to fight, and Kodiak specialized in hand-to-hand combat, preferring not the use weapons. Kodiak's happy life came to an end when he was 15, when his village was raided by the Branwen Tribe, and everyone was shocked to discover that Kodiak's mother was one of the people leading the raid. Kodiak's father tried to reason with his mother, only for the woman to murder him in front of Kodiak's eyes. Seeing this, something in Kodiak snapped and he attacked the tribe with such ferocity that he ended up killing multiple bandits and forcing the rest of the tribe to retreat. From then on, the rest of Kodiak's village lived in fear of him losing control like that again and he was eventually banished by the village elders due to the amount of Grimm their fear of him was attracting. Kodiak would spend the next three years wandering around Mistral trying to find his mother, with no luck. Finally accepting that he may never find her again, Kodiak moved to Vale to get a fresh start. A few months after arriving, he met a girl named Yang Xiao Long at a club and the two hit it off. After working together to take down some thugs threatening the patrons, Yang commented Kodiak on his fighting skills and suggested he apply to Beacon as a Hunstman. Kodiak agreed.

Weapon: Whisper: A double-edged polearm that can be converted into a compound bow. A series of triggers in the bow's handgrip are connected to a mechanical quiver that can select between standard, trick, or dust-charged arrows. In Polearm form, the blades can be charged with dust energy
Semblance: Insight: By making eye contact with someone, Yukon can learn things about them that she would not know otherwise, such as their semblances, strengths, and weaknesses. She requires eye contact to utilize this ability and has no control over it. If she looks into too many eyes in a short amount of time, it will give her a headache
Notable Abilities: Wings allow flight, expert marksman, skilled hunter and tracker
Personality: Yukon is quiet and relaxed but is somewhat withdrawn and secretive due to having spent much of her life by herself. She is very observant of her surroundings, to the point that she can sometimes read a person's body language.

Background: Yukon grew up in Southern Vale. Her birth parents were both Huntsmen who left her with human friends when Yukon was 3, and never returned. Yukon's adoptive parents were leaders of a small group of people that wanted to expand away from the city of Vale and set up a settlement not far from Mountain Glenn. Yukon's adoptive mother taught her to fly and how to fight, while her adoptive father helped her construct her weapon and trained her in archery. Inspired by stories of her birth parents, Yukon dreamed of becoming a huntress one day and honed her skills by hunting Grimm at and near Mountain Glenn. But one day when Yukon was 14, she returned home to find that the Grimm had found the settlement and had slaughtered everyone there, including her adoptive parents. Vowing to avenge them, Yukon began a crusade against the Grimm, using her wings, archery skills, and semblance to take them out with ease. Not wanting to attract the wrong kind of attention, Yukon never showed her face and never spoke to anyone while she hunted and hid her wings while in public. When she was 17, Yukon was on Patch Island and came across a large pack of Beowolves attacking Ruby Rose. She helped the girl out but left afterwards without speaking to her. Later however, she found herself being followed by a large crow that turned into a human after she captured it. The human turned out to be the girl's uncle, who thanked Yukon for helping Ruby and told her there was someone who wanted to speak to her. That person was Professor Ozpin, who asked Yukon if she would be willing to consider attending Beacon Academy. Yukon was hesitant at first because she didn't want people knowing about her wings, but Ozpin assures her that he knows how to hide them and even offers to help train Yukon if she agrees. Yukon eventually accepts the offer.

Hello again everyone! I first discovered RWBY about half-a-year ago, and while I have enjoyed watching the show, I have been absolutely FLOORED by how much fan response is present regarding this show. It's been so interesting seeing all the creativity that fans of the show have put into designing their own characters and storylines, so much so that it inspired me to create my own RWBY team. I have a story plot for all these characters that intersects somewhat with the characters of Team RWBY, and if anyone is interested, I could be persuaded to start publishing chapters, but for now, please enjoy my OC bios.
The inspiration for my team comes from all the fanficiton and bios that I have read from the RWBY Fanon wiki, Deviantart, Wattpad, Quotes, and Fanfiction. As I perused the show and the fan creations, I noticed that there weren't many all-Faunus teams, so I decided to make my own team be all Faunus, based on predatory spirit animals. I also decided early on that I did not want any of my characters to use guns, as I felt that it would make things more interesting to see how they used traditional weapons like bow and arrows to deal with opponents. I've spent a lot of time working on these bios, but I know I'm not as familiar with the character rules concerning this universe as many people might be, so if anyone notices a mistake in my work, please inform me.
