Hello readers! One of my reviewers said that my story is all in clumps so I will try to put who says what and try to organize it a little bit better. Please thank teabags for telling me this; otherwise it may still be in clumps and hard to read and such. If you have an idea that you want to add in the story please tell me! Chapter 3
My POV
"So this is where you were!" Some unknown person exclaimed. Akihiko, Misaki, Aikawa, and Haruhiko were in a graveyard that no one ever visits, so why in the world would somebody come there, let alone know where they are at? They all turned to see who it was. Akihiko tried to squint his eyes, struggling to see who it was, after all it was nighttime. He still couldn't figure out who it was but since the person didn't attack them or put them in handcuffs he knew that the person wasn't a policeman. He bent down and grabbed scared Misaki, pulling him close to his chest."Who are you?" He asked the unknown person. "Is Misaki there?" the unknown person asked.
"…."
"Who are you?" Akihiko repeats. "Um uh…" The person sounded really nervous, like he didn't really want to get Akihiko mad. "Um… I am a classmate of Misaki, Sumi Keiichi." "Sumi-senpai!" Misaki gasped. Misaki was beginning to smile until Akihiko's hands grip around him even tighter. "Usagi-san?" "Misaki, I know he is your friend but, we don't know for sure if it is him so don't move out of my hands until I verify that it is him, okay." Akihiko said seriously. Misaki let Akihiko's arms hold him close; making sure that the knife is out his way. "Okay."
Akihiko nodded to Haruhiko and he nodded back. Haruhiko shined his flashlight towards Sumi. It really was him. He walked up to Misaki. "Misaki… I saw the news…" Misaki didn't know what to say, but he felt frightened at remembrance of what happened. The bloody scene of his relatives. Akihiko could feel Misaki becoming frightened. "So, what about it?" He asked Sumi for Misaki irritatedly. "I… I … am… really sorry for your loss!"Sumi replied. Misaki's eyes widened. Akihiko still didn't trust him. Misaki brushed Akihiko's arms away. "Usagi-san, its ok I can handle it myself." Misaki said, trying to reassure Akihiko. "It's ok Sumi-senpai; I don't really love them that much anymore, I mean I do but… I…"Misaki started to tremble again. "Misaki…" Akihiko whispered in a caring tone.
"Well um… why do you still have that knife in your hand?" Sumi asked. "Well uh it won't come off…" Misaki said and stopped trembling. "Can I see if I can pull it off?" He asked Misaki. Akihiko was about to run in front of Misaki and tell Sumi no. "Usagi-san, don't even try, he is just going to see if he can get it off, he won't kill me, it's ok." Misaki said. Usagi-san nodded and stood there but still had his guard up. Sumi smiled and went over to Misaki. He grabbed the end of the knife and pulled. It didn't come off. He noticed that the blood of the knife was still fresh. Impossible, there is no way blood can stay on a knife fresh that long… Unless… Sumi thought.
Misaki caught Sumi staring at the blood on the knife. He jerked away, causing the knife to slice a cut on Sumi's hand. "Auh!" Sumi cried out and immediately put pressure on the cut to try to stop the bleeding. Misaki's eyes widened and he started to tremble again. "S-Sumi-senpai…I-I am so sorry!" Akihiko ran up to Misaki's side, grabbed him and kissed him on the cheek.
He knew that was the only to calm him down. To give him a kiss. It didn't matter if it was on the lips or on the cheek or on any part of his body. Misaki stopped trembling but didn't blush. He was still worried about Sumi. "It's ok; it's not that big of a cut!" Sumi said. Misaki knew that if this continued, he would kill everyone near him. "Everyone… stay away from me… I am the one who started this mess… Even you Usagi-san… stay away from me!" Misaki yelled. Usagi tried to comfort Misaki but he pushed him away.
Sumi looked at the sad scene before him. "I have something to say!" He announced. Everybody turned their heads to look at him. "Misaki, that knife is a very special knife, it's a knife that keeps the blood on it and never detaches itself from the person's hand, unless…" "Unless?" Misaki asked. Sumi gulped. "I don't know how to say this in a way that you will understand but… unless you… kill your lover, the blood won't go away and the knife won't go away either."
Everybody stood there wide-eyed. Misaki was the first to speak. "I-Is there really no other way… I really don't want to kill anybody else… I really don't want to kill Usagi-san…" Misaki ran up to Sumi and punched him in the chest. He started to cry. "No more, please no more killing, I don't want to kill nobody else, please tell if there is another way!" He sobbed.
Aikawa and Haruhiko tried to pull him back. Akihiko just stood there, scared. He wasn't scared of Misaki. He wasn't scared of the knife. He wasn't scared of Sumi. He was just scared. Maybe he was afraid of being killed…. or afraid of being out of Misaki's life. He didn't even know himself. Sumi started to cry to but held back his tears. "There is one side effect to the knife… every full moon it will try to... try to take over your body and… you will have to kill somebody. It won't kill your lover itself… only people that you know it will kill on every full moon."
Misaki couldn't take it anymore. He broke down. He sobbed and sobbed until there were no tears left in him. Misaki sat on his knees and cried. Akihiko snapped out of his scardeyness and went over to Misaki's side. He sat down next to him and patted Misaki's back. Before he knew it, he was crying too.
Aikawa's POV
Notes:
Sumi's father and mother stuff is MADE UP!
Oji-san: grandfather, Oto-san: father, Oka-san: mother
I watched as Misaki and Akihiko cried. I felt like crying too but, not that much. I knew how much Misaki loved Akihiko. I look at Sumi. "How do you know this stuff about that knife?" I asked him. He looked like he was thinking when I asked him that.
Flashback in Sumi's mind while Sumi talks:
"My oji-san found it somewhere in his backyard. He gave it to Oto-san. Oto-san and Oka-san had all types of problems. Oka-san would go out with her friends and get drunk. She would come home with a man and start a fight with Oto-san every single time. Oji-san would always side with Oka-san no matter what the fight was about. Oto-san got tired of it one day. He told me that he was going out and gathering up all his friends and going to get drunk. He didn't come home. When Oka-san called his cellphone, a woman picked up. The woman said that Oto-san was very busy with her and hung up.
Oka-san took me with her went out and asked the bartender that worked at the bar about Oto-san. A man at the bar that claimed to be Oto-san's friend said he saw him and some woman head to a house. The "friend" told us to follow him. He found the house and Oka-san knocked on the door. A half naked woman stepped out. All she had on was her bra and underwear. Oka-san asked about Oto-san and they got into an argument. I slipped into the house and looked for Oto-san. I found him on a bed asleep, naked. He had absolutely no clothing on him. I woke him up and as soon as he got up he quickly got his clothes on and ran out to see Oka-san. He yelled at her. The "woman", Oka-san, and Oto-san were in a heated argument. I tried to convince Oto-san into going home and he followed me. My mother had gotten tired of arguing with that "woman" and followed us.
We arrived at home and Oka-san and Oto-san started another argument. They threw stuff at each other and yelled at each other. Oji-san came in to see what was going on. Then it happened. My father was madly out of control. He found his knife and moved to stab Oka-san… but he stabbed Oji-san instead.
My dad was crazy after that. Days after days he mourned and mourned. Every full moon he would run around the house crazily and look for someone with the knife in his hand. He wanted to kill. He saw my mom but he didn't kill her. Instead he ran out the house door and went to the bar. He killed his best friend there. I tried to stop him before he ran out but it looked he was going to kill me too.
After he killed his friend he didn't remember doing it. We went under house inspection. The police even stayed at my house and watched my dad. The house inspectors didn't find the knife. They left. I don't know how they didn't find it. It probably had some power to disappear or something.
Full moon after full moon it happened again and again. Then one day it all ended. My dad was in pieces. He was very, very tired and he cried a lot. He saw my mom go again and get drunk again. When she came back, he stabbed her. Right at the doorway he stabbed her. Then the knife detached itself and the blood on it disappeared."
End of flashback in mind.
"So how in the world did it end up at Nii-chan's house?" Misaki asked. I looked at him. He and Akihiko had stopped crying but their eyes were still puffy.
"Who knows, probably the same house that your "Nii-chan" lived in now was the house Oto-san lived in long ago… The reason I don't know is because I got out of that house as soon as Oto-san died. It felt too haunted." Sumi said
I looked at Haruhiko. He looked as if he didn't understand what in world was going on. I looked back at Misaki. "So… what are you going to do now Misaki?" I asked him. Misaki shrugged his shoulders. "I really don't know…" He said.
Akihiko stood up and said, "Well it doesn't matter now. The only thing that matters now is us getting away from this graveyard." Misaki stood up as well and said, "Y-yea, let's forget about it for now and go."
We all agreed that this was not the time to be talking about this. We turned to the back of the graveyard, where there is no fence and ran. I have no clue why Sumi is running with us either, but if he knows about the knife then maybe he could help us in some way.
