Grr. Grrr. I'm currently growling right now. So, as you might know, this didn't do well. No one liked it, so I got rid of it. But after posting the preview chapter for Hentai Protagonist. The folks over at Ao3 said that they loved it. Which is a lie, that I know, so fuck it. This is back and it has a new chapter on its way. Grr. Grr. Just know you make me do anything as long as you can make me upset enough. I better see people actually reading this story this time. Ahh!
Midoriya Izuku had a simple dream to become the top Pro-Hero. At age five, that dream was shattered by a single word, 'Quirkless.' He was treated like something made of glass, as he sat underneath the slide in the playground, as he was holding his knees close to his chest. The young boy wept as he would often sniffle and cough.
He was only five yet, all his dreams were crushed in a single day, by a single man. A man who didn't even flinch when he told Midoriya what was wrong with him. The grass rustle in the wind, as Izuku shook from the cold wind blowing through. The metal touching his skin made him jump and bang his head.
"Are you okay?" Asked a sweet young voice,
Midoriya Izuku turned, his eyes were blurry due to the tears that he poured out, and the thump that he had on his head. He could feel the girl's fingers touching his soft green hair, her hand felt so soft and smooth, and the smile on this young girl was bright and blinding.
Without even getting his answer, the unknown girl pulled the crying boy into a hug. Their bodies clung together, and Midoriya felt her soft hand run down his back. His tears staining her shirt, her words ringing in his ear, Izuku pulled away as he tugged on the grass. His eyes shook as he looked up at this unknown girl, the slide blocking her face.
'You can become a hero even without a Quirk, and once you do. We can get married.'
Nine Years Later…
The final year of his Middle School, this place had been a hellhole since year one. But it was the only place that would willingly take in a Quirkless Kid. It was as if they wanted to be proud of themselves like it was some sort of brave feat to do.
Izuku sat bored, as the teacher talked about how everyone should be thinking about what they want to do and what hero school they should apply toward. For Midoriya, that could only be U.A, the home of the best of the best, the Entrance Exams were a bunch of robots.
"Bakugo, you're applying for U.A, correct?" The Teacher asked, Izuku raised his brow looking at the sloppy-dressed boy.
Bakugo Katsuki looked closer to a delinquent than a model student, yet he is at the top of the school. Even better than Izuku, the young boy was convinced that the teachers were just lowering his grades to give Bakugo not only a bigger ego but to help him get closer to that goal.
His Quirk is one of power and strength, it was bright and flashy and showed off everything a Pro-Hero should be in these times. There are just too many problems with Bakugo, the first is his ego, it didn't help that everyone that he has met in his life treated him as if he were a God.
"That's right, I'm going to be the next number-one Hero!" Bakugo Katsuki cried out,
Again with the ego, with his power, it would be easy to get noticed. But, with how rude Bakugo is and how he doesn't care about anyone besides himself and the fact that he talks about killing without any hesitation. Midoriya believes that he wouldn't and couldn't make it as far as he hoped he could. He might not even make it in the top ten, even with people like Endeavor, who are jerks, Endeavor does his best to save people, and make sure that he doesn't harm anyone that would come close to his flames.
While Bakugo never holds back, it makes Midoriya fear for if or when his childhood friend gets into U.A. Since, Katsuki wouldn't care if one of his classmates got hurt, or if someone ended up in the hospital. At the end of the day, everyone is just a pebble on the side of the road until he becomes the next number-one hero.
"Oh, yeah. Midoriya, you're applying for U.A as well."
That alone caused everything that would follow to happen. Midoriya Izuku just didn't know it yet. The class all laughed at him, after all, a Quirkless person becoming a Hero. It was unheard of, there were some heroes with weak Quirks, but they are either sidekicks or don't make it far.
"What the hell, Deku! You don't even have a crappy useless Quirk like the rest of the Extras, you're just a waste of space!"
There it was, the nickname that Bakugo calls him, Deku. Meaning worthless, useless, and couldn't do anything. All Izuku has done is written notes about his future dream, nothing much out of that. Any chance was ruined by Bakugo and his followers.
All Izuku could do is lower his head in shame at the staring from his classmates, none of them were friends, or even talked to him. Yet, once they heard what the teacher said, suddenly they finally decided to pay attention to him.
"He can't even get in without a Quirk, right?" One student asked,
"Maybe Midoriya is going under the Support Group, he is intelligent. It's the only place a Quirkless loser like him belongs," Snicker another student.
"Or the General Studies course, they wouldn't even let someone without a Quirk try out for the Hero Exams."
Midoriya sniffled, trying to hold back his tears, the room became empty as if everyone had disappeared suddenly. There stood that girl he met so long ago, she still looked like her childhood counterpart, being two years older than when they first met when Izuku was five. He could barely remember anything about her, except that smile that she shares with him, pressing her finger against her soft lips.
"Remember our promise? I'll be waiting for you, at U.A. I can already hear our wedding bells ringing. Don't lose our…"
"Deku"
"Deku!"
"DEKU!" Bakugo's loud voice broke Izuku out of his dream, as the bell rang, ending the class and school.
The loud ringing as students rushed out of the class as fast as their feet could carry them. The teacher forced them out as he took a look at Bakugo. It was as if the teacher knew what the troubled teenager was intending to do and did nothing about it. Or didn't want to hurt the future of a student that could finally shine a light on this terrible school.
His henchmen blocked the way. Izuku could only chuckle, did Katsuki really not see what everyone else could? The way he backed Midoriya to the wall, his back pressing up against the glass. Bakugo looked more furious than he does on a daily basis, this could only be about what the teacher said.
"What the hell, Deku? U.A! A worthless piece of shit like you, wouldn't survive for less than a minute."
It was all the hateful speech that Midoriya is unfortunately used to at this point in his life. "Go jump off a roof and pray for a Quirk in your next life."
Izuku's eyes widened as he ran. Katsuki is just upset, he has always been upset. Izuku didn't know where he was running to, away from his school, away from his problems. Midoriya couldn't see where he was even running to with the tears burying out of his eyes. He somehow ended up back in the park again, the same park where he met that girl.
Who said those sweet words to him?
'You can become a hero even without a Quirk, and once you do. We can get married.'
A glasses-wearing high schooler looked at the middle schooler, the smoothie in her hand, as she brushed her skirt to sit down next to him, both of them hiding underneath the slide. With bright pink hair and a beanie on her head, she wore a rather plain-looking dress. Like she wanted to avoid staying out, she wore a black overcoat and white undercoat, a type of dress. If Izuku knew anything about what girls' clothing is or what it's about, he would have pin-pointed more of it.
"What got you so upset?" Asked the high school girl, and she sat down next to him. Brushing her skirt as her butt hit the grass.
Izuku didn't know who this girl was, she just came up and asked him what was wrong. When was the last time someone had done that to him? Midoriya couldn't even remember, his mother told him that she was sorry as if it was her fault that he was born without a Quirk. Dad walked out, and his only friend is his biggest bully.
He really didn't have anyone in this world, maybe Bakugo was right.
"Do you have a Quirk?" Izuku answered her question on his own. Why was he asking her this? Perhaps he is just curious, always has been, wondering how she would look at him when she found out the truth.
"Yup. It is called Leap. Allows me to well Leap in the air, kind of basic I know. But I make it work, not one for taking down bad guys, though." She scratched her head, rather bashful at her rather lame one.
"I don't have one, I was born without a Quirk. I was just a mistake, I put my mother through Hell, and made my Dad leave. Lost my best friend, and gained a bully. Maybe I should just take the jump."
The High school slapped Izuku, a bright red mark on his cheek. Her eyes darken as if they were hidden away by her glasses, yet Midoriya could tell that she was upset. "Don't you ever say something like that again! Who put that thought in your head, I'll knock his lights off."
Did she just crack her knuckles, was this girl violent? Izuku wasn't sure who he was even talking to, "Listen, kid, you want to be a hero right? I know someone like that too, my friend, and classmate. Wanted to be the best hero there ever was, you remind me of him a lot. I think that you could, but with this stick body of yours, it will be a lot of hard work."
Izuku's eyes widened, he had never heard someone tell him that before, she didn't look down at him. Pity him, or hate him, she looked him straight in the eye and told him the truth, the truth that he needed to hear. "Being a hero isn't a dream that someone can wait around to come true. If it's your dream then make it come true."
"Thanks, umm…"
"Oh, right, Haneyama Kazuho."
"Haneyama-Senpai."
"Hehe, hehe, I'm not your actual Senpai. Seeing how I don't go to your school." Kazuho was flushed as if she was never called Senpai before.
Kazuho's phone started to beep, she made a tick with her tongue. "Sorry, kid. I gotta meet with some of my classmates, umm… Don't go to any high places while you are in your right state of mind."
"I promise." He nodded
Kazuho's smile was bright as she put her hand into his fluffy hair. "Well, kid. Shape up soon, I feel like we'll meet again,"
Izuku broke that promise ten minutes later.
He had a hard few hours, first, got attacked by the Sludge Villain, then he got to meet All Might on top of a roof, and learned a terrible secret about his hero. Then that same hero told him that he shouldn't become a hero, then Bakugo got attacked by the same Sludge Villain that attacked Midoriya. The day was almost over, and Izuku dragged his feet back to his home.
The sun had begun to set, as the muscle figure with the bright blonde hair, his hair pointing up. His white teeth glimmer, after all, he is the hero that never stops smiling. It's the one and the only All Might.
"Young Midoriya!" All Might cried out, sliding past, standing in front of him.
"AH, ALL MIGHT! How did you get past those reporters?" Izuku wondered,
"Nothing, get by me," All Might cried out before the smoke came out of his body, he was once again the weak, hurt man again.
"Listen, kid. You did something that the other heroes couldn't do, and that is you saved your friend's life. That boy is only alive thanks to you. I've been in the city looking for someone, and that person is you, Young Midoriya."
"Me?" Izuku couldn't believe what he is hearing, he had caught All Might's eye.
"I'm sorry about what I said to you, you too can become a hero. You are ready to take my Quirk."
"Wha?" Izuku was dumbfounded, take All Might's Quirk, but how?
"Promise me, you won't tell anyone about this," All Might spoke, Izuku nodded
So, All Might told Midoriya everything, about One for All, how it has been passed down from user to user, a Quirk that holds a strange power. It felt like All Might was leaving things out of the story, perhaps for another time. Izuku smiled, and then that memory came back, he shut his eyes, knowing the only answer he can take.
"I refuse."
"I knew that would be your answer, we'll start training your body to take One for… What?"
"Sorry, All Might. But if you really think I can become a hero. Then I'll do so, even without a Quirk!"
End of Chapter!
Let's talk about the Elephant in the room and the title, so this is just a test. I just getting into the cockpit and not taking flight. After what has been happening with some of my other newer stories like my Rejected Crossover Ideas, this is just an one-shot but might become a real story.
A long time ago, I had a somewhat crossover idea, between My Hero Academia and The Quintessential Quintuplets, when it would be Momo having four sisters, and Izuku training and teaching them how to use their Quirks during Middle School. I think I put it in an Author Note during my Legend of Zelda story, ch. 3
But, this is just a remade idea of that story, I had to age down and up a few characters to make seven Senpai's for Izuku to get. And I want to point this out now, no this will not be a Harem. It has all the girls falling in love with Izuku but at the end of the day, he will end up with only one of them. Not all of them, I'm already hiding in my bomb shelter for the flames I'm about to get for this one.
I've been slacking on work for a while. I've been really sick lately. By the time you read this, I should be better, I hope. Then I failed with The Bachelor, I thought it would be a fun and clever idea, but then everyone told me that people would just vote for the OTP and the story was pointless. So, I had to slice the throat of The Bachelor before too many people could read it. So, that bummed me out.
Also, this is new, why didn't anyone tell me I was spelling Sempai's wrong, why didn't GoogleDoc tell me until now? It's Senpai's Phoenix, remember that for the future.
Maybe this might have to be another story that might never see the light of day. I sure hope not.
Here are the Seven Senpais that will appear in this story. In no order.
