Chapter 10

Shinobu's POV

What the heck is going on? I am not doing anything. I am not controlling him so who in the world is doing this?

He had just killed somebody. The head was chopped off. The hand that was formed by the water broke apart and water rained on the ground.

He came up to the next person in line that water hands were holding. He kept saying the same thing over and over. "You have served your purpose killer, die."He kept killing us one by one.

Some of us here aren't killers. Some of us haven't killed anybody in our whole entire life!

"Misaki stop this, stop this and release us!" I heard Misaki's lover say. Of course Misaki didn't respond.

He just continued on with what he was doing. I need to break out of this water's hold before he reaches me.

I felt my power surging through me. I tried to center all of my power to my sides. I forced the water to break and they rained on the ground.

I raised my hand and pointed to him. "I, Shinobu, an acquaintance of the knife spirit, command you to wake up and stop this madness!" I said.

The knife that Misaki was holding glowed. Misaki's eyes started to blink. He didn't stop floating and the waters didn't stop their grip on the people. "Wha… What happened?" he asked as he looked around.

"Misaki!" I heard Akihiko say. Misaki looked in his direction and his eyes widened. Most of the water hands were on him holding him down.

"U-Usagi-san!" he choked out. He tried to move but he couldn't it. I don't know why but he just kept on floating.

Misaki's POV

What did I just do? There are water-like hands holding up people in front of me. Some of the people were already dead. Their heads were chopped off.

What is Shinobu doing? He is not held up like the rest of them. And is he glowing? I want to ask him what happened but I am scared. Scared of the truth.

"Shinobu, w-what did I… w-what happened here?" I tried to ask him. Shinobu opened his mouth to say something but a water-like hand shot out of the lake next to me. It grabbed him and swallowed him.

He was inside the hand and I could tell that he was struggling to breath.

"Shinobu!" I yelled to him. "Misaki, you should kill more people, forget about that boy, he is a traitor." The lake whispered to me.

"What do you mean…? I told myself I would kill no one else after I killed Miyagi-san!" I said.

"No you are the right one that I have chosen, my knife will stay with you forever!" the lake whispered back.

I feel very irritated. Whoever is in that lake needs to come out and show themself!

"Who are you, show yourself!" I yelled out. The stormy waves started to subside a little bit.

A whirlpool started to form in the middle of the lake and it started to glow. Someone was coming out of the whirlpool little by little.

I tried to see if I could recognize the person as he came out of the whirlpool. "My cute little Misaki, I can finally talk to you face to face." The person said.

"Who are you?" I asked him. Really, I want to know who he is because he looks nothing like a human. He had red spiky hair and brown eyes. He was very toned and broad shoulders.

I blushed for a bit. He looks kinda sexy. "I am the spirit of your knife in its true form." He said.

My eyes widened. What is he talking about? There is no way this knife can actually have a sexy spirit like him. Not that I like him, I love Usagi-san and no one else!

"Well are you doing here?" I asked him. "I am helping you kill these people, I can't touch them, not until you kill ten people in all then I am free to touch them as I please, and of course I will add you to the collection." He said and winked at me.

What does he mean by that? Wait a minute, if he said that he is the spirit of the knife, could he detach the knife from him?

"Hey c-can you… I mean since you are the spirit of it… could you detach the knife off of me?" I asked him. I really hope he can so I can be free from this misery.

"Whoa hold on there, I can't do that sorry, I would be breaking the law if I did that!" he said. I furrowed my eyebrows. What law?

"Did you think there was only one of these knives in this world, of course not, there are roughly about twenty million all around the world. If I just release myself from you then all the other spirits would kill me. Especially our master."

That is a lot! Anyways I need to get down and get Usagi-san away from this guy. "Can you put me down?" I asked him.

"No." he said and raised his hand. "Sorry but the next time you awaken you won't remember a single thing, Sayonara."

What's going on? I feel very light and sleepy. I see nothing but darkness. So… sleepy. "Misaki…!" I heard someone say before I drift off. Usagi-san…

My POV

Misaki closed his eyes and succumbed to darkness. All the people in the water hands just looked at him wondering what had happened to him.

"Misaki, Misaki!" Akihiko yelled out to Misaki but nothing happened and the guy stayed asleep and floating.

"Alright now that that's out of the way…" the spirit said and moved his hand the knife. The knife started to glow again.

He raised his hand and the knife raised itself as well. "Goodbye humans, you have done well in your life."

He moved the knife with Misaki moving as well. It moved to the first person in line. "N-no, please don't kill me, I will do anything, just don't kill me!" the person whimpered.

"Sayonara." He said and slashed the person from head to toe. The water hand broke and rained down to the ground like the last one.

"Next one." He said and moved to the next one in line.

Shinobu's POV

Urg… I can't breathe. This water is too much for me. I can't even feel the exit even though it is just a small hand. It feels like I am drowning in a sea.

"Shinobu…" I heard someone whisper. That sounds like Miyagi's voice! "Shinobu…" There it is again.

"Shinobu you can't seriously be beat like this, beat this guy up using his own weapon…" the waters said and glowed to the shape of somebody.

It was Miyagi. "Miyagi!" I yelled out. Wait a minute, I can breathe! "Shinobu you must kill him for me, I am just an illusion that this water creates by your memories…" he whispered.

"But if I kill him I can't revive you!" I said. "Baka, if you don't kill him everybody else will just die…" Miyagi whispered.

"I will release you from these waters; go kill him with the half power he gave you…" Miyagi said and the waters broke apart.

"Miyagi…" I said. Ok that's enough of this Shinobu. Let's kill this guy! I felt my power surging through my fingers, making them tingle with excitement to kill.

I looked up at the knife spirit, seeing that he had already killed about three people. "Hey you!" I called out to him. He stopped and looked at me.

All my power surged to hands and I shot a ball of power at him. It flew at him and he caught it. "Well that was weak!"He said and threw it back twice the size at me.

I tried to dodge it but it was too big. It hit me and exploded. Pain surged through my whole body as I fell back on the ground. I got back up.

"Tsk, I don't have time to play with you, I will let you and these people off the hook but next time you all are dead." He said and disappeared with Misaki.

"Wait!" I called out, but it was too late, they were gone. All the water hands busted and rained on the ground. Everyone fell.

Some started to shed tears of happiness that they are safe. Some just sat there and tried to understand what in the world had just happened. There was only one that just sat there and did nothing but look at the spot where Misaki had disappeared from.

"Misaki…" I could see tears forming from his eyes. He got up and went over to the spot. "Misaki…" he started to tremble. "No… Misaki… come back… COME BACK MISAKI!" he cried out.

Akihiko fell to his knees and cried it his hands. "Misaki… Misaki." He whispered as he cried.

I just turned my head from him and looked at the sky. I felt pity for him. How are we going to get Misaki and Miyagi back?
