Solatiri sat with Faramir, dabbing his face with a damp rag. Faramir tossed his head back and forth, stuck in a tangle of nightmares. Shortly after Denethor's death, he had lost consciousness again.

"This will bring your fever down", she said.

"Father", Faramir murmured.

Solatiri frowned. She wondered how Faramir would take the news that his father was gone. Now that he was gone, Faramir was the new steward of Gondor. Solatiri continued to dab his face as she turned to look out the door. Gandalf and Pippin were sitting outside as the soldiers breached the gate. There were trolls and Orcs on the other side trying to get in. Pippin looked at Gandalf feeling so defeated.

"I didn't think it would end this way", he said.

"End?" Gandalf said. "No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back and all turns to silvered glass. And then you see it."

Solatiri and Pippin listened intently wanting Gandalf to continue. His description of what awaited them sounded so beautiful.

"What, Gandalf?" Pippin asked. "See what?"

"White shores and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise."

"Well…that doesn't sound so bad."

"No, it doesn't."

Solatiri looked away as the banging on the gate grew louder. It was only a matter of time till the enemy broke in and killed them all. She looked down at Faramir who finally calmed down. His nightmares must've stopped.

Everyone looked up as the banging on the gate suddenly stopped.

"Gandalf?" Solatiri said. "What's happening?"

Gandalf, Pippin and the soldiers ran to the wall looking over the edge seeing what was happening. Solatiri placed the damp rag on Faramir's forehead and went to join the others. The army of Mordor had Orcs, Men and Oliphaunts fighting what little soldiers Gondor had. Solatiri gasped as she saw the green glow emitting from the soldiers among the Pelenor Fields. They were ghosts.

Everyone watched the ghosts, the soldiers of Rohan, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli fighting the army of Mordor. They watched in amazement as Legolas took down an oliphaunt single-handedly. The army of the dead stormed through Minas Tirith taking out every beast that came across their path.

"Look!" Pippin smiled. "It's over! We're safe! We won!"

Solatiri smiled as she hugged him.

"Our work isn't over yet", Gandalf said. "Return to the Houses of Healing. We have a lot of people that need our care."

Solatiri nodded and went inside. She smiled as she saw Faramir waking up.

"How are you feeling?" she asked holding a bowl of water to his lips.

Faramir drank from the bowl rapidly. His fever left him very thirsty.

"Everything will be alright", Solatiri said. "We have healers on their way."

"What about the battle?" he asked. "What happened?"

"The battle is over", she said getting up. "We are safe. You get some rest."

Solatiri kisses his forehead before placing the damp rag back on. She walked outside watching as the clouds parted revealing the sunlight for the first time in hours. She looked up at the sunlight and sighed.

"We're safe, Boromir", Solatiri said. "We're free to live another day."

With a sigh, you turn away,
With a deepening heart no words to say

Solatiri looked down at the Pelenor Fields watching as the army of the dead vanished.

"NO!" a voice echoed over the fields.

She looked down in the fields to see Eomer cradling a body in his arms. Solatiri gasped when she realized the body in his arms was Eowyn. Aragorn helped Eomer bring her into the Houses of Healing.

You will find that the world has changed forever.
And the trees are now turning from green to gold,
And the sun is now fading, I wish I could hold you closer.

"Will she be alright?" Solatiri asked as Aragorn tended to her.

"She will live", Aragorn said. "I am happy to see you are in good health."

"As well as you", she replied. "Boromir's brother is here as well. Please help him."

"I will", he answered.

Solatiri bowed as she stood and left. The sun had gone down and the moon and risen. For the first time in weeks, the dark shadow had lifted from the sky. The stars were finally visible again. Solatiri smiled as she looked at the star of Earendil.

"Grinning like a kid with a brand new toy
I was in the White City, heart full of joy
I was with my best friends, Gandalf and Pippin Took

And once again I had something worthwhile to lose

This is my world
This is where I belong

And I know that someday I'll be in a song
Because when Helm's deep was raided, I stood my ground
I felt the thrill of war, I heard the sounds
And though I'm just a girl
I just can't pretend
That all our hope is lost
It's not the end

Tonight I'm going dance
For all that we've been through
But I don't want to dance
If I'm not dancing with you

You died to save my life
Merry's and Pippin's, too
I'll tell your brother that
I was a friend to you

Thank you Boromir
You taught me how to dance
I wrote this song for you

Now's my last chance."
