RAE'S P.O.V.~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hah, nerds." I said as I headed downstairs. My blade was of course in my sleeve halter, so it wasn't like I was going in there unarmed. But I had questions, and I knew Metatron had answers. I walked down the hall and opened the door. The cabinets weren't in place, so as I opened the door, Metatron looked up at me. He couldn't quite see me though, for the only light was above the chair, and I was covered by darkness. He stared at me for a moment before I stepped in the room and closed the door.

"You're never as exciting as people make you out to be." I said. He laughed.

"Well, what do you expect?"

"Not sure, someone a little more pizzaz-y. I mean, you're Metatron." This was not the first time I've seen him, but that's a story for another time. "I figured someone who attempted to dethrone God would be more majestic and pretty. You just look homeless."

"Well, they have had me locked up for sometime. Who are you, anyway? I don't recall the Winchesters adopting a child." I straightened my shirt and walked into the light. Metatron gasped.

"My god, it's you. Rae Winchester. I just say, I never expected you to be here! The rumors were right." I wanted to ask about that, but I figured I'd save it for later. "You seem to making it alright. Let me guess, Daddy and Uncle Sam left you here while they went and visited Crowley? Did they not want to introduce their little Winchester to the king of Hell yet?" The words "Little Winchester" struck a nerve, but I kept my cool.

"Spoiler: I've seen Crowley plenty of times. Let's not forget the time Sam had Crowley babysit me. I literally stayed in Hell for a week and I was like 5."

"Their methods of raising a child concern me. How was Hell, anyway?"

"Hell is so boring. Anyway, I'm going to assume you know why I'm in here."

"To intentionally piss off your father?"

"What? No. I had questions. Why would I intentionally piss off my father? I'm a good kid."

"Surprisingly, considering your genetics."

"Oh please, genetics don't necessarily mean anything. Speaking of genetics, do you know who my mother is?" Metatron smiled at me.

"Ah, if I told you that now, that'd totally ruin your future plans. And Leo would be so heartbroken if those were canceled."

"Leo? Who's Leo?"

"Gosh, Rae! He's been stalking you for weeks and you don't even know his name?" I searched my brain, trying to figure out who's been stalking me.

"I'm going to need another hint." I said. Metatron rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"Goodnight, child. Your demon!" I gasped.

"You mean, the one who brought me here in the first place?" Metatron nodded." His name is Leo? I never would've guessed. He never told me his name... And why would he be heartbroken if I figured out who my mother was?"

"He'll become rather important in the future. Just you wait." I narrowed my eyes and Metatron shrugged.

"Besides, where has Leo been anyway? I haven't seen him around recently."

"He'll be back before you know it. Do you have any other questions?"

"Yeah, actually! So here's the thing..."

"You're awful trusting." Metatron interrupted.

"What do you mean? You're not going to do anything."

"I can tell your guardians what you asked me."

"I can tell them your lying. Who are they more likely to believe? Me or you? Besides, if I time this right, they won't even know I was down here." Metatron went silent.

"Point taken. Continue."

"Okay, so this has mostly happened around Leo..."

"So you do have feelings for him?"

"And- Wait what? Feelings?"

"Nevermind, continue on." Metatron said.

"Are you saying one of us develops feelings for the other?"

"I said nevermind!"

"But-"

"Do you want my help or not?"

"Ugh, fine! As I was saying, it happens around Leo mostly, but it also happened around Dean last week when he went on a murder spree."

"He killed people in front of you? That's bad parenting."

"Yeah, it's whatever. Anyway, something within me surges up and protects me every time I'm in some sort of life threatening danger. I really can't control it, and when it explodes, all I can see is blue. What's happening?"

"Ah, I knew it."

"Knew what?"

"Shut up and stop asking useless questions for once, will you? This hadn't started happening until you left Kansas, correct?" I stopped and thought about it. He was right. I never had this power until I left Kansas.

"So it had something to do with Kansas?"

"I believe so. They left me out of those plans."

"But don't you know everything?"

"I never said that. I just know a lot of things. Anyway, I was thinking it had to do with it the Kansas border. Once you left Kansas, the seal stopping the power broke."

"So I've had it all along..."

"Just you've never left Kansas until now."

"Do you think there's a way I can control it?"

"Of course. Eventually you'll know how to use it whenever you want." I went silent. Whenever I want? I shook my head and focused back in Metatron.

"Okay, next question."

"Shoot."

"The Mark of Cain. They're going to have a lot of trouble trying to get rid of that, aren't they?"

"Of course. You can't just get rid of something as old as time without some casualties first." I sighed.

"I figured as much. But if the Mark takes over Dean, there might be more casualties than we originally planned for. So I suppose it's a lose-lose situation, with one tipping the scales more than the other."

"Exactly. Boy, you are much different from your father. I expected some threats, but you are very easy to get along with."

"Then again, you haven't murdered me yet. But I'm supposed to be born next year. That gives Dean a very limited time to meet someone and conceive me. And if I'm conceived while he still has The Mark... Well, I guess the question I'm asking is, is the Mark genetic?" Metatron went silent before raising an eyebrow.

"I guess we'll find out, won't we?"

"But also, if I do have The Mark flowing through me, along with this other power...What exactly does that make me?" Metatron gave me a smile full of venom and I felt it sink into my bones.

"That makes you special, Rae." His words hit home in the most uncomfortable way. Fortunately for the situation, we were interrupted. Unfortunately for me, it was my father who interrupted us. Before I was aware he was here, he had already flipped me around and was in my face.

"Rae! What did I tell you?"

"Not to talk to Metatron?"

"And what are you doing?"

"Exactly what it looks like?" It was very weird seeing him angry, considering I was far more used to Sam being the one getting onto me. Speaking of which, where was Sam?

"Don't worry, sport. I haven't hurt her. She was just asking some questions." Metatron added, which did not help the situation.

"What did you ask him?"

"Just stuff like if he knew who my mom was and..." Dean's face suddenly changed. "What?" I asked.

"You don't know who your own mother is?" I shook my head. Dean sighed and let go of my shirt.

"Aw, what do ya know? Big Dean and little Rae are relatable somehow." I gave Metatron a confused face, but he just shrugged and gave me a 'go with it' face.

"Anyway, we have the blade." Dean said, facing Metatron. "What's the next step?" Metatron smiled at me when he said,

"Oh, that first little tip was a freebie. Now it's going to cost you. Are you ready for the consequences?" I shifted nervously and looked at Dean, who looked slightly ticked.

"Rae, go make me a sandwich." Dean said unexpectedly.

"Is that a joke?" Why would he suddenly want a sandwich?

"No, I'm hungry. Now go." He said, practically shoving me out of the room.

"Fine." I said, and headed into the kitchen. Digging through the fridge, I managed to find some things that would make a pretty decent sandwich. I decided I would toast the bread, since toast was freaking awesome. After that, I put on the meat and was halfway through the dressings when a sinking feeling hit my gut. I put down the mustard and waited for it to go away. It only got worse. I turned and looked back at the interrogation room.

The door was closed.

I walked down to the door and attempted to open it. No way, it was locked! I pounded on the door.

"Dean? Hey! Open up!"" I said, knocking harder. "Dean! Open the door!" The sinking feeling then plummeted, making me drop to my knees. I felt like my lungs had closed off. Why was I feeling this? I had one hand on the door, trying to catch my breath. What the hell was going on? I forced myself to stand back up.

Would you freaking open? I mentally screamed. Suddenly, the door popped open. I would've been amazed except for the fact that I was having a panic attack for no reason. I shoved the door open to find Dean standing above Metatron with an angel blade in his hand.

"NO!" I screamed, which must've brought the attention to the other men in the house, for Sam was suddenly in the room, pulling Dean away from Metatron. Metatron was cut open and bloody. I rushed into the room and stood over him. Seeing him made the feeling in my stomach go back to feeling normal, but I felt bad for Metatron. Was he the reason behind my panic attack? Metatron looked up at me and gave me a small smile.

"You are nothing like your father." He whispered. I shook my head and laid my hand on his cheek.

"Rae?" Cas asked.

"You have to take him back! He's not going to heal down here!" I said, looking at Metatron's cuts. Why did I feel so awful, like I was the one who cut him?

"I know, but you're...crying." Cas whispered. I stopped and reached up to touch my own face. Why was I crying? I looked back at Cas, who seemed to be studying me.

"Like calls to like." Metatron whispered loud enough for me to hear. Cas walked over and unblinded him.

"I'll be taking him back now. I was ordered not to hurt him, and now I have some serious explaining to do. I will see you all later." Cas said, leading Metatron away.

"I'll never help you to again. Ever! Good luck getting rid of that Mark, Dean!" Metatron yelled as Cas led him away. I watched the two of them leave. When they were out of sight, I unrolled my sleeve and wiped my eyes.

"Rae? Are you-"

"I'll be in my room." I said, cutting off Sam. "If anyone needs me, I'll be in there." I rushed up to my room and threw myself on my bed, and I stayed there for the rest of the night.

I give that ending a 5/10.

Anyway, I'll try to update every Saturday/Sunday depending on how busy I am, but if I don't update, don't panic. I probably got caught up in school work or something. That last episode was sort of interesting, AND CHARLIE'S COMING BACK IN THE NEXT EPISODE. I'm excited.

Anyway, shout out to grapejuice101 for leaving a review! Thank you to everyone who reads and favorites the story too. You guys rock!
